Pax deadname Mina Zhang was born to a wizard father and muggle mother at the heart of London. Ever since they were young, they had always been a curious child, constantly getting into scrapes and dangerous situations. Knowing that their children would eventually go away to Hogwarts for school, Pax's mother decided to homeschool Pax and her brothers so they could spend more time together. It was soon dicovered that Pax could be very smart when they wanted to be, but only if they weren't distracted. Despite having a very career-orientated life, their father still made time for the children, making sure to teach them how to fly and the basics of magic. When Pax first mounted a broom, they knew that was where they belonged. Growing to be a confident child, Pax would regualrly go and explore (encouraged by their mother) the local parks in the area. That was the main reason for their current love of exploration, which would also continue on for the rest of their life. They watched as their older brother went to Hogwarts, eagerly awaiting the day when they would get to attend. When their letter arrived on their 11th birthday, they were overjoyed and the whole family celebrated. Pax would finaly go to a place, and meet people that were like them.

Pax was six, nearly seven, and exploring the forest with my brothers, and they stumbled across some pretty flowers. They wanted to bring some back for their parents, but Jason had trodden on them by accident on our way back. They were quite sad about that, but still put them in their bag. When they got back home, they pulled out the flowers to show their parents and found that they had been restored to their original, un-squished appearance.

William Zhang was brought up in China as an only child, before moving to live with his uncle in the UK so he could attend Hogwarts. When he was accepted, he was sorted into Ravenclaw. He would continue his studies to be a healer at Hogwarts, returning to China every summer. After Hogwarts, he stayed in China for a year with his family, before going to Canada to study at the University of Toronto to study muggle medicine. (2002) Meanwhile, Hazel Holton was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, with her older sister. She'd always been very interested in the supernatural and magic, from a young age. She was also incredibly gifted in academics, graduating early to attend the University of Toronto (2004), with the goal of being an English lecturer. In Hazel's second year and William's fourth, they met at an event and after some time as friends, fell in love. They dated for about 2 years, marrying in 2007, and they welcomed their first child that Winter. After the birth of their first child, the family moved to London so that William could take a job at St Mungo's. In this time, Hazel took a break from her studies to homeschool her child, not expecting that the family would grow to welcome two more children in 2009 and 2011. Once their youngest had begun at Hogwarts in 2022, William and Hazel both decided to make career changes. William would leave his position as a healer to take a position at the Ministry of Magic, promoting the welfare of magical creatures and halfbreeds. Since their children were being educated elsewhere, Hazel found herself now with the time to return to school to complete a Masters, back on track to become a lecturer.

Reducio The Zhangs’ general residence is found on the outskirts of Central London, opposite Highgate Woods. The house is four stories high, and seems a lot smaller on the outside than it actually is. Upon entering the front door, there is a small entry hall with wooden stairs on both sides leading to the floor above, and a corridor decorated with family photos. Above the entry hall are small balconies on the other three stories allowing people to look down on anyone arriving. At the other end of the corridor is a large room. From left to right is a small yet open kitchen, then a long large wooden dining table surrounded by roughly ten mismatched chairs, and finally a living space of a well-worn leather sofa decorated with more mismatched cushions, a scuffed coffee table adorned with various books, toys, quills and other stationery and other knick-knacks. In front of the sofa is an old television from the early 2000s, propped on top of a set of drawers that were filled with random muggle objects, such as torches, cables and old alarm clocks. The back wall has windows embedded into it, and in the other corner opposite to the television was a thin metal spiral staircase. Upon climbing any of the staircases, visitors would emerge on the second floor, which has a small landing and two doors. The staircase would continue up to the floor above at the other end of the corrido. Behind one of the doors is the boys' room. The room is split into two, with one half for Nico Zhang and the other for Jason Zhang. Opposite the window between the two twin beds were two identical wardrobes. The walls are grey on both sides, though Nico's side is a darker shade, and Jason's is a lighter shade. On Nico's side, the wall is full of posters and other wall hangings. His bed holds several stuffed animal toys and multicoloured pillows. On Jason's side, over the bed is another poster, and several books laid out on his bed. Behind the other door, this floor also has a bathroom for all the siblings. After ascending the next staircase, a similar situation to the floor below could be seen. One door leads to the study/library, where Pax's father spends a large amount of time if not at work. Pax and their siblings used to have their lessons in that room before attending Hogwarts. The walls are embedded with shelves to hold rows and rows of manuscripts, scrolls, novels and stories, and a nice red rug on the floor leads to the head desk at the other end of the room on a little raised platform, decorated with books, lights, quills and parchment. Below the platform is a longer table, similar to a dining table, with more quills and scrolls and parchments and books randomly scattered across. The other door opens to reveal Pax's room, smaller than most of the other rooms in the house, however there is a little space for any potential friends to stay over. The walls are a pale gray, but you could barely see anything over the amount of posters and pictures tacked to the walls. Clothes are typically found strewn across the floor, and the wardrobe doors also usually are wide open. The bed itself is usually covered in various items-clothes, quills, books, stuffed animals, etc. Little storage is actually used, and if it is, it is overflowing the contents. The final floor had no small landing and instead opened simply to Pax's parents' bedroom. It was quite normal, muggle-looking and unassuming. There was a small door leading to the en-suite bathroom also on the floor.	X	Reducio Concealed from Muggle sight, is the ancestral family home, Yin Yan Ju. Standing for centuries, it belongs to the pure-blood family the Zhangs, of which Pax, their siblings, and their father are descendants of. Every few summers, members of the Zhang family from across the world would gather together to remember their ancestors, rumoured to come to the world of the living in the seventh month of the lunar calendar. The house itself is large and grandiose, modified several times over the centuries to adapt to what was classed as modern. However, there are still elements of classic Chinese architecture in the house. As the Zhang is a large extended family, the house hosts many rooms for all the returning family each summer on the second floor. Each 'suite' of the house is where a family will reside when they come to stay. The beds are low, and in each suite, the rooms are separated by sliding wooden panels. There is an indoor and outdoor living space, both incredibly large on the ground/first floor. Also on that floor is a large dining room with a large circular table for formal dinners, and a room with shrines to honour the ancestors. The gardens are carefully tended to, a perfect place for kids of any age to run around and explore. Below the whole house is an intricate tunnel system for the Zhang's house-elves to scuttle around and reach each room by, so they can quickly reach the room they've been summoned to. At the other end of all the tunnels is the kitchens, where the house-elves spend most of their time. To the left side of the kitchen is a space with several beds set up for them to rest. There is a separate door for wizard residents of Yi Yan Ju to also reach the kitchen, though the smaller residents sometimes enjoy running through the tunnels and causing mayhem. The newest addition to the property, a Taoist temple has been commissioned by the family for those who believe in order to worship. It stands and looks over Yin Yan Ju, with the Zhangs’ symbolic dragon wrapped around the roof, watching and protecting the household. Permanently, Ye Ye and Nai Nai (Grandfather Zhang and Grandmother Zhang) reside at Yin Yan Ju, as well as Grandfather Zhang's four older brothers and two younger sisters and their partners, their mother Tai Nai Nai (Great-Grandmother Zhang). Throughout the year, family comes and goes to visit and take care of the elderly residents.

When Pax was three, they remember Jason trying to walk in the living room, and he kept falling over. They walked in and helped him, and watched him as he took his first few steps. Nico was very jealous, and that was very funny to them.

Pax loves exploring the woods in the park about 5 minutes from their house. One of their favourite times was when their brothers and they found an abandoned treehouse when they were six. The three of them went and explored it and spent the whole day in the treehouse, and wanted to stay there overnight, but their parents wouldn't let them. When they came back the next day, they found a squirrel had given birth to squirrel children. Pax chose to name one of the babies Arthur.

The first friend Pax made was the neighbour's cat. They were sat in the garden and the cat walked through, letting Pax pet it. Pax waited every day in the garden at that time to see the cat. They continued to do this from the age of 3 to 6, when the cat stopped coming to see them. They never knew what happened to that cat.

When their letter arrived on their 11th birthday, they were overjoyed and the whole family celebrated. The house is four stories high, located opposite Highgate Woods. Similar to the infamous House of Black, the Zhang household resides in a seemingly normal muggle house. It may seem quite small on first glance, but the insides occur to be larger when actually in the building. 
Upon entering the front door, there is a small entry hall with wooden stairs on both sides leading to the floor above, and a corridor decorated with family photos. Above the entry hall were small balconies on the other three stories for people to look down on arrivals. At the other end of the corridor is a large room. From left to  right is a small yet open kitchen, then a long large wooden dining table surrounded by roughly ten mismatched chairs, and finally a living space of a well-worn leather sofa decorated with more mismatched cushions, a scuffed coffee table adorned with various books, toys, quills and other stationery and other knick-knacks. In front of the sofa is an old television from the early 2000s, propped on top of a set of drawers that were filled with random muggle objects, such as torches, cables and old alarm clocks. The back wall has windows embedded into it, and in the other corner opposite to the television was a thin metal spiral staircase.
Upon climbing any of the staircases, visitors would emerge on the second floor, which had a small landing and two doors. The staircase at the back of the would continue up to the floor above. Behind one of the doors is the boys' room. The room is split into two, with one half for Nico Zhang and the other for Jason Zhang. Opposite the window between the two twin beds were two identical wardrobes. The walls are grey on both sides, though Nico's side is a darker shade, and Jason's is a lighter shade. On Nico's side, the wall is full of posters and other wall hangings. His bed holds several stuffed animal toys and multicoloured pillows. On Jason's side, over the bed is another poster, and several books laid out on his bed. Behind the other door, this floor also has a communal bathroom for all the siblings. 
Again, after ascending the staircase, a similar situation to the floor below could be seen. One door leads to the study/library, where Pax's father spent a large amount of time if not at work. Pax and their siblings used to have their lessons in that room before attending Hogwarts. The walls are embedded with shelves to hold rows and rows and rows of manuscripts, scrolls, novels and stories, and a nice red rug on the floor leads to the head desk at the other end of the room on a little raised platform, decorated with books, lights, and quills and parchment. Below the platform is a longer table, similar to a dining table, with more quills and scrolls and parchments and books randomly scattered across. The other door opens to reveal Pax's room, smaller than most of the other rooms in the house, however there is a little space for any potential friends to stay over. The walls are a pale gray, but you could barely see anything over the amount tacked onto the walls. Clothes are typically found strewn across the floor, and the wardrobe doors also usually are wide open. The bed itself is usually covered in various items-clothes, quills, books, stuffed animals, etc. Little storage is actually used, and if it is, it is overflowing the contents. 
The final floor had no small landing and instead opened simply to Pax's parents' bedroom. It was quite normal, muggle-looking and unassuming. There was a small door leading to the en-suite bathroom also on the floor. [/reducio][/center][/quote][/td]

Where the Shiyang River meets the Hongyashan Reservoir, hidden away in the trees and concealed from Muggle sight, is the ancestral family home, Yin Yan Ju. Standing for centuries, it belongs to the pure-blood family the Zhangs, of which Pax, their siblings, and their father are descendants of. Every few summers, Zhang family from across the world would gather together to remember their ancestors, rumoured to come to the world of the living in the seventh month of the lunar calendar. It is the only time Muggles will be permitted to enter. 
The house itself is large and grandiose, modified several times over the centuries to adapt to what was classed as modern. However, there are still elements of classic Chinese architecture in the house. As the Zhang is a large extended family, the house hosts many rooms for all the returning family each summer on the second floor. Each 'suite' of the house is where a family will reside when they come to stay. The beds are low, and in each suite, the rooms are separated by sliding wooden panels. There is an indoor and outdoor living space, both incredibly large on the ground/first floor. Also on that floor is a large dining room with a large circular table for formal dinners, and a room with shrines to honour the ancestors. The gardens are carefully tended to, a perfect place for kids of any age to run around and explore. Below the whole house is an intricate tunnel system for the Zhang's house-elves to scuttle around and reach each room by, so they can quickly reach the room they've been summoned to. At the other end of all the tunnels is the kitchens, where the house-elves spend most of their time. To the left side of the kitchen is a space with several beds set up for them to rest. There is a separate door for wizard residents of Yi Yan Ju to also reach the kitchen, though the smaller residents sometimes enjoy running through the tunnels and causing mayhem. 
Across the river, a Taoist temple has been commissioned by the family for those who believe to worship. It stands and looks over Yin Yan Ju, with the Zhang's symbolic dragon wrapped around the roof, watching and protecting the household. 
Permanently, Ye Ye and Nai Nai (Grandfather Zhang and Grandmother Zhang) reside at Yin Yan Ju, as well as Grandfather Zhang's four older brothers and two younger sisters and their partners, their mother Tai Nai Nai (Great-Grandmother Zhang). Throughout the year, family comes and goes to visit and take care of the elderly residents. When a family member passes, all available family return for a funeral.
