The Race Is On
They/SheThe sky had been painted with a warm mix of oranges, yellows and pinks as Pax stepped outside and jogged down to the lake. After a few days not running, they knew missing too many days would become an unhealthy habit and lead to them just skipping every running day.
They admired the view from their starting position before they set off, taking a deep breath to steady themselves. As long as they were at Hogwarts for, they would never tire of seeing the beauty of a sunrise or a sunset across the Scottish moors. It was always what would motivate them to run, even on a day where they wanted to do nothing more than go back to sleep.
So, after zipping their jacket up, securing their laces and doing some rudimentary stretches, Pax set off. This time, there was nobody to race, just themselves running for the fun of it. Step by step, breath by breath, they tried not to focus on the time they made it round. They had a habit of making everything competitive, even against themselves, and it was something they were attempting to get rid of. It had started to become unhealthy, after all.Reducio
