Monday was finally over! With classes finished, Jannette quickly got changed from her tedious uniform into something comfier. Today was a semi-big day as the Brunette was invited by the Snek Squad leader to watch a student-based quidditch match! Of course, Jannette wasn't gonna deny the invitation, as almost every Snek Squad member was gonna be there! While there were sign-ups for this quidditch match, the brunette decided it was in her best interest to not play. I mean, it made total sense from her perspective. Not only has been begging her family for a good week for her to get a broom (and kitty of course.) but her flying was horrendous! Jannette HATED heights! She could barely get 3 feet off the ground before she would be hugging her broom handle. Also, she was horrible at going fast on a broom! Just today in flying class, she was able to go at least 4 MPH alone on her broom, which was pretty impressive by the way since 2 weeks ago she was going only 3 MPH!

At the Quidditch Pitch with a sign in her hand, of course, Jannette would look toward the two groups who were talking amongst each other, noticing the obvious faces: Colin, Violet, a semi-familiar face Lucian, Clair, and Irina who of course, still needed to apologize to Jannette, (if only the Niffler knew the consequences of that situation a month later...). With the two groups in the sky, June, a Slytherin 2nd year introduced herself to the spectators.

"Right then, thank you all for coming! Wasn't expecting much of a crowd, if I'm honest. I'll do my best to commentate from above, but I'm not old enough to learn the Amplifying Charm so, sorry if it's a bit quiet. Hope you're ready for some great quidditch!"

Jannette would laugh, before placing both her hands around her mouth in an attempt to amplify her voice, "WHhhhaaa' yoououuu saaahhhyyy??? Oi can' 'eeeaaarrr yahhhh!!!"¹ She teases. Of course, the Niffler can hear June perfectly clearly, but in Jannette's cooky mind she just found it really funny to be sarcastic.

"Let`s go, players! I hope you do well in the game and crash the other team!"

Standing up, Jannette begins to jump, cheering along with the Hufflepuff, "AYYYEEE, CMON COLIN STOP BEIN' DISTRAC'ED!!!!" She squeaks, "IRINA DON' LOOK DOWN!!!! 'N VIOLE'... UHHH -- YOU GO' T'IS!"²

Making their way up to the top of one of the emptier stands, Pax had their hands tucked away in their pockets. Colin had told them of this quidditch match that was happening, and they would always support their friend. Besides, knowing that other quidditch players would be on the pitch, it was the ideal time to scope out potential opponents that may be on the pitch in future games. Or any potential Gryffindors to think about reaching out to.

Reaching the top of the stands, they waved a quick hello to Colin (though they were unsure if Colin had actually seen them arrive yet) before settling down. They knew quidditch games had the capacity to go on a while, so they'd also brought along some snacks. It was better to be safer than sorry, and hunger could really easily distract.

Lastly, they revealed a small notebook, sleek and black, along with a quill. Keeping in mind all those on who were on the pitch, Pax sat simply on their own as they observed the game occur, occasionally jotting a note down about certain players or certain tactics that had been employed. It was always interesting to see how every team would take the rules and mould them to benefit their team.

Bundled up in a coziest sweater she owned and ears protected from the chill with the sole beanie she’d brought along, Avery trudged out towards the increasingly familiar pitch. She’d been nothing short of thrilled when Alma mentioned the small game she’d signed up for. And she’d be damned if she didn’t take the chance to show up and cheer her best friend on.

With their first official game looming at the week’s end, Avery would readily admit she was also curious to just see how a live game played out. Practice was one thing, but it didn’t afford quite the same impact. Not to mention, it was honestly just a beautiful day outside.

Sidling up alongside the gathering group of spectators, Avery is quick to spot another familiar face. A friendly wave is tossed Rita’s way. “Hey there, Rita!” she greets, flashing her teammate a warm smile. “Excited for the game?”

Looking back out to the pitch as the teams seemed to separate out, Avery quickly caught sight of Alma amongst them. She simply settled in to watch, a bright smile and an enthusiastic wave at the ready should Alma look their way. A dual thumbs up is offered to the girl that seems to be running things when she addresses the spectators.

Only a moment's hesitation before she joins in on the cheers with her dormmate and the apple-themed girl. "You got this, Alma!" she calls out, a toothy grin breaking free. "Put all that training to work!" She knew that, regardless of the outcome, there were at least some chocolate frogs she'd stashed back in the dorm to celebrate the occasion.

Rita was just standing somewhere around the Quidditch Pitch and waiting anxiously for the game to start when she heard a familiar voice greeting to her. She turned around to see who was calling her. It was her Quidditch teammate and Plant Palace roommate, Avery, waving to her with
a warm smile. "Avery is such a nice girl and I am glad to play Quidditch and be roommates with her!" Rita thought, then waved back to the young Hufflepuff with short brown hair, also with a smile"Hi, Avery! Fancy seeing you there! How are you doing today? Looking forward to the unofficial Quidditch match? I`m excited by the way!"

Avery then looked back at the official match and began to cheer for Alma, another teammate in the Hufflepuff Quidditch team that Rita did not know much about beside playing Quidditch together. Anyway, that does not matter much at present, it was better for Rita to just focus on the unofficial Quidditch match and cheer for the players. "Come on, players! Give it your best performance on the broom! Show us all of what your got on the broom!" Rita shouted to the players, then paid attention to the unofficial match going on the Quidditch pitch that could start at any minute. "This match is definitely going to an interesting one, let me stay toned and see what these players have got." Rita thought when she was just standing in the spectator area of the Quidditch pitch and paying close attention to the match.

Avery offers up an enthusiastic nod to Rita. "I'm doing pretty good so far! Definitely excited to watch the match, yeah." The first year looks back out to the field, leaning forward to watch a little closer as the call for the game to start rings out. "This is technically the first live match I've been to, not counting practices. Eager to see how everything plays out even if it is on a smaller scale."

And by the looks of it, the game spares no moment for rest right off the bat. Attention shifting from player to player as they whirl about the pitch, Avery unconsciously finds her fingers tapping atop her knee as she watches. Practice was certainly fun, but being a spectator was an entirely different ball game. There's an internal wince as the quaffle and all 30 points go to the other team, but she knows the game is far from over.

Glancing back to Alma just in time to see the brief wave offered her way, Avery flashes the girl a bright smile and an offered thumbs up. Almost immediately her attention is diverted by the increasingly familiar sound of a bludger impacting. An instinctive wince follows. She could commiserate on that front no matter the team.

Rita listened carefully as Avery nodded enthusiastically and continued to speak while still standing on the Quidditch Pitch to watch the match, Glad to know you are doing good, Avery, and so do I! Yeah, the live match is pretty exciting, even it is just a mini match! And like you, this is the first live Quidditch match I have ever watched! Practice is one thing, but the actual match is another thing cos it is a real thing with real points, not like practice. I am kind of nervous for the real match and I guess watching this mini match kind of prepares me for the real match. What do you think, Avery?

Yeah, getting to spectate an actual match was totally a different thing from those Quidditch practice. Even though it was not like the fall match Rita and Avery were going to play and later win along with the Hufflepuff team against Gryffindor later this October, it was still a match. There were some applauses that went with the Quaffle grab of one team, but it would still take a while for the match to finish. Rita was honestly not sure which team she was going to support, and she just wished all the best to all the participants on the match and hoped that they could all give out their best performance on the Pitch. Rita honestly knew she was still a long way from being tough on the broom, and she just hoped to learn something for the players here in the mini match that could be used to improve her own stills on the broom and hopefully contribute more to the team in the actual match.
