Quidditch Interschool (Uaga-Koldov-Mahou) vs. Beauxbatons - Summer 2024

It had been a bit since Kit was actually delegated the save role- last game at Hogwarts she had been so preoccupied with competing for the quaffle that she hadn't even taken the opportunity to glance around the pitch for fallen allies before it was far too late. This time would be going back to the game before that, but her broom was more slim than the Bluebottle she had had at the time. It meant maneuvering around the stadium a lot easier, but lacked the sufficient space to actually hold multiple people.

Figuring out how to put another person on this broom would become an issue pretty quickly though as beaters targeted fellow beaters or keepers and certain chasers decided fouls were worth the potential knock out attempt. Katherine would even face an attempt to be thrown off her broom, the bludger getting far too close for her liking. She would only give a confused glance towards the ball itself as it rushed past her ear and away. The momentary distraction would have to be shoved aside though as the Beauxbatons girl raced towards where their beater had fallen off his broom- conscious was a good thing, meaning he had a chance to stay up in the air a lot longer as she maneuvered him onto the back of her broom with as much gracefulness as she could muster. It wasn't much but hopefully he wasn't hurting from the fall. "Ah, où vas-tu?" Where are you going? She teased, glancing back expectantly. "Alors, qu'est-ce qu'on fait?" So, what are we doing? Hopefully they'd figure out this moving together thing without too much difficulty.

Zophyr's eyes, for the few seconds the bludger was in their control, followed only the ball as it was flung at exactly the person they'd been aiming for... and hit them square-on. So perfectly, in fact, that it was obvious the boy was immediately knocked out and fell from his broom. Zophyr let out a whoop of excitement and pride - that might have been one of the best shots they'd ever done. The bludger unfortunately was not as successful in its ricochet at another girl from the opposing team, but that didn't matter. That had been beautiful!

It was only after that they realized Khemet, their team's one and only seeker, had also been knocked out. Well that was certainly news. A round in and already he was out. This was going to be... interesting. Zophyr renewed their energy, refocused their thoughts, and the game went on.

Quentin saw a bludger headed his way. Perfect. Just like he had been training for—he wound up his bat and sent it flying toward the other team's seeker. He had been tracking the seeker this whole time—he didn't want the game to end too early. And oof, that had to hurt. Quentin winced slightly as he watched the player fall from the sky—well it was all far in contact sports, though contact with a bludger was pretty gnarly.

Feeling bad for this opponent probably cost Quentin too much focus because he was blindsided by a sudden broom and body knocking him from the air. Before he could even begin to yell, he hit another broom. This time it was a friendly broom. His compatriot, Kit, had caught him. "Merci beaucoup! J'ai encore ma batte. Continuons!" Thanks a lot! I still have my bat. Let's keep going!

Izzi dove for the quaffle as soon as the signal was given. She was in her element on the pitch. She let nothing and no one get in her way! Brute force was the game as she shoved her way towards the quaffle, and came away victorious! Between her and Mkhaku, they scored 50 points for the mixed team.

Almost Izzi felt sorry for the one French chaser who tried to get her hands on a quaffle. She put up a good fight, but between Izzi's determination and Mkhaku's chaotic energy, there was simply no way to prevail!

She did, however, feel a great sense of pride as she caught sight of a bludger being whacked by her friend Zophy! The rare smile that crossed her face as the game got off to a splendid start was the only sign of emotion she showed. Let Mkhaku dance and make weird noises! Izzi would focus on the game and get the job done!

Èlodie flew high above the game, getting a birds eye veiw of the game and watching for the snitch. She watched as the Interschool team chaser scored 50 points and as their keeper was knocked off their broom, their own beater also having to be saved by Kit.

She almost has cursed to herself at how awfully things were going until she saw Interschools seeker get knocked out. She smiled to herself. This could be their way to a swift victory. All she had to do now is focus on the snitch. She flew a bit closer to the game, focusing in on her task.

If Izil was paying attention, she would quickly come to realize that, whatever River and Juliette may have been doing, it was certainly not trying to get ahold of the quaffle. With Maurice out of the picture, Izil would dominate the quaffle completely unopposed, and net an additional fifty easily-won points for her team.

The snitch was as elusive as always, at least for Élodie. Despite being the only seeker left conscious, that shiny little ball would still manage to evade her sights.

Bludgers

Rather than try to get Quentin back on his own broom, he and Katherine instead teamed up, their combined forces on one broom turning them into a force to be reckoned with. They sent a bludger Yasha's way, and though he put up a good fight, the force of the blow ended up knocking him from his broom. Zophyr would set their sights on Élodie, however, she was able to nimbly dodge out of the bludger's way. Chiaki's aim would prove a more deadly obstacle, however, taking both Peter and Élodie, whose luck would run out the second go-round, out in one fell swoop.

Big gambles can have big payoffs. With one of their players already on a penalty lap, Mkhaku would choose to follow in her footsteps and attempt to knock into the dynamic duo of Katherine and Quentin, aiming to dislodge them from their shared broom. His attempt would be successful, though he'd still earn the ire of their very small referee.

"Mkhaku Khosa, I saw that, nice one! Go take your penalty lap, I'm sure you know the drill." Sure the game was over, but it was the principle of the thing.

Again, Izzi dove for the quaffle as soon as the signal was given! Her total focus was on the ball and the goal hoops. She heard voices as team mates and opponents alike vied for control of various balls. She heard the chaotic thumping of bats on bludgers and the cries of those who had been knocked off their brooms. She was both relieved and slightly miffed that no one on Beaubatons had thought to target her!

That didn't stop Izzi!

She was more than happy to target her opponent's goal hoops, and bell after bell tolled the racking up of points for the multinational team. As she dove in for another score, she caught sight of Mkhaku in the distance! Was he aiming for a blatch? He was sure to get caught! But Izzi had to admit she was impressed: he aimed straight for a stricken Beaubatons duo astride a single broom --- and he pulled it off!

One thing was certain: after this match, there would be no end to the boy's boasting about his double blatch!
