Alone time
Pax sat under one of the trees overlooking the Great Lake. Life at Hogwarts wasn't what they had expected to be like. It had been a few weeks and they still hadn't found a firm group of friends. They didn't like it much. They liked being around people. But there weren't many people that seemed to want to be around them. They typically just walked away, or laughed in their face as they attempted to start a conversation.
Was it something they had done? Was it something they had said stupidly? It might have been. They did have a tendency to blurt things out.
Now, Pax found themself sat alone, underneath a tree, watching the rain splash on the lake, the sound was comforting yet melancholy. They tried to count the number of raindrops they saw, but realised how stupid that was and soon gave up. The dampness soaked into their skin and they started to shiver ever so slightly, yet still they stayed out there. They could see their breaths in the cold air, and remembered when their siblings and they would pretend they were dragons and chase each other around their garden. That made them smile a little.
"Is it me?" They wondered aloud. "Did I do something?"
