This event is part of the 2026 International Magical Olympic Games.
February 21st, 2026
Lake Bear (frozen), Russian Federation
The week of festivities had come to a close, and Director of Studies Aulis Vorozheykin could not have been prouder of himself for hosting it all. Koldovstoretz's international event had boasted fewer injuries than any of the other schools', and best of all, no one had died! - oh, yes, and there would be several students from various schools heading home with wonderfully shiny medals to boast their participation and victory in the Games.

Aulis headed up on stage, his voice booming loudly from the wandless, voiceless Sonorus he had cast upon himself just moments before. The roaring bear torch stood where it had the entire week, flames flickering hot and magical inside its mouth, ready to extinguish at the end of the ceremony; Aulis himself roared just as loudly. "Good welcome, all!" he cried out to scattered cheers and applause, flourishing the fuzzy sleeve of his coat (the faux fur, of course, matching in colour and style to the ushanka hat perched upon his blond head. "Has come time for best event, for which you so long were waiting: presentation of medals to winners from competitions this week."

He grinned out at the crowd. "But first, we give round of applause to every athlete that participated in International Magical Olympic Games. We become witnesses here to new displays of athletic prowess! Regardless of if you were on skates whole life or never picked up hockey stick, athletes exposed skill at Bear Lake. Am certain I am speaking for all Headmasters - are very proud of you." Was the tear welling up in his eye performative or true? Good luck reading him to find out. "And thank you to all who came for to support friends and schools. I hope you all enjoyed visiting my favourite conservatory."

The Director wiped the tear away, straightening up. "Enough! Is time for first medal!"

First chronologically was figure skating, and so they would be the first to receive their prizes as they had been the longest to wait. Aulis called up the names of the winners, and as each one came to the stage, their respective Headmaster would bestow them with a medal placed lightly around their neck:
  • 1-3 Individual: @Kaitlyn Connor from Hogwarts (gold), @Valour Argentum from Hogwarts (silver), @Casey Stone from Ilvermorny (bronze)
  • 1-3 Team: all Hogwarts - @Meiyu Xiang and @Ula Takahashi (gold), @Camille De Varenne and @Cecilia Merrick (silver), @Laasya Manjunath and @Julia Evans (bronze)
  • 4-7 Individual: @Evelynn Decipio from Hogwarts and @Pericles Dralt from Hogwarts (shared gold), dNPC from Koldovstoretz (silver), dNPC from Mahoutokoro (bronze)
  • 4-7 Team: @AngelFyre McCubbin from Hogwarts and @Simon Kincaid from Hogwarts (gold), dNPCs from Uagadou (silver), dNPCs from Koldovstoretz (bronze)

Next up was ice hockey, a sport that had seen its fair share of violence both legal and illegal, but that was nevertheless quite fun to watch. Aulis again called up the names of the winners, and as each team member came to the stage, their respective Headmaster would bestow them with a medal placed lightly around their neck:
  • Years 1-3 Gold: Team Subzero (@Romélie de Brissac from Beauxbâtons/@Lachlan Cassidy from Ilvermorny/@Aodhan Shaw from Hogwarts/@Maurice Andrieux from Beauxbâtons)
  • Years 1-3 Silver: Team Blanks (@Arno Dorian from Durmstrang/@Oonagh Brown from Hogwarts/@Remedy Norden-Alptraum from Durmstrang/@Camilla Carter from Hogwarts)
  • Years 1-3 Bronze: Team Ultraviole(n)t (@Jarden Ardelis from Tenūsa/@Magnus Blackwood from Durmstrang/@Vasilius Nighthawk from Durmstrang/@Rafael Kraus from Durmstrang)

The third event, and possibly Aulis's favourite, was Summoner's Curling, the smallest sport of all. Aulis for the third time called up the names of the winners, and as each one came to the stage, their respective Headmaster would bestow them with a medal placed lightly around their neck:
  • Years 2-4: @Harvey Barrows from Hogwarts (gold), @Sere Nade from Hogwarts (silver), dNPC from Durmstrang (bronze)
  • Years 5-7: @Rose Moon from Hogwarts (gold), @Maximilien de Fostoncy from Beauxbâtons (silver), @Kavi Kattimani from Tenūsa (bronze)

The final event had only been yesterday, and the winning athletes from bobsledding had only had to wait a single day to reap their rewards. As he had done with the three previous events, Aulis called up the names of the final winners, and as each member of each pair came to the stage, their respective Headmaster would bestow them with a medal placed lightly around their neck:
  • Years 1-3: @Matilde O’Fionnagan from Hogwarts and @Phelan Emile from Beauxbâtons (gold), @Marina Alacrán from Beauxbâtons and @Akerrah Koné from Beauxbâtons (silver), soloist @Cinder Blaze from Beauxbâtons (bronze)
  • Years 4-7: @Andrew Lycan from Ilvermorny and @Della Barfield from Hogwarts (gold), @Felix Kolbeck from Durmstrang and @Margarethe Fransson from Durmstrang (silver), @Miles Thatcher from Ilvermorny and @Stephen Schwartz from Ilvermorny (bronze)

After each athlete received their medal, Aulis would clasp their hands in a firm handshake (or, in the case of the Koldovstoretz athletes who had won in hockey and skating, give them a tight bear hug). "Good job," he told each athlete with a smile. "You have done well."

Once everyone had gotten their medals, Aulis turned to the audience to announce one final thing. "I am sure you are interested in to know who is winner of week and which school can take home championship title of International Magical Olympic Games," he declared, allowing a pause for suspense to build. "Well, let me announce final medal count!"
Please note that medals have been counted individually, so team members each receive their own medal.
  • Beauxbâtons: 4 gold, 4 silver, 1 bronze
  • Castelobruxo: 1 gold
  • Durmstrang: 4 silver, 4 bronze
  • Hogwarts: 14 gold, 9 silver, 3 bronze
  • Ilvermorny: 2 gold, 3 bronze
  • Koldovstoretz: 1 silver, 3 bronze
  • Mahoutokoro: 1 bronze
  • Tenūsa: 3 bronze
  • Uagadou: 2 silver, 1 bronze
It was clear that Hogwarts had taken the win, and Aulis presented the final medal of the night to Headmaster @Solomon Lear, patting the elder man on the shoulder. He was disappointed that Koldovstoretz hadn't taken the dub, of course, but the Russian school boasted a much smaller student population, and clearly the students from the UK had been practicing. And no school could say they hadn't shown up and won something, for every single academy in attendance had taken home at least one medal!

To end the ceremony officially, the director extinguished the fire inside the roaring mouth of the bear torch to raucous applause. He then took a long, dramatic bow, the grin practically splitting his face. "Thank you for coming!" he shouted out over the clapping and whooping. "Thank you, and maybe we see you again in four years!"
This event is not moderated.
Please reach out to me if you would like to godmod Aulis doing anything other than what is already stated in the post.
Do not godmod the other Headmasters as doing anything other than putting the medal around your neck.
