THE STONE FAMILY

Casey

The second born son in the household. Prior to his older brother Nick's disappearance, Casey was a charming, polite, adventurous and sympathetic kid who had everybody's interests at heart and was always quick to defend Muggles if anyone badmouthed about them, having been descended from several Muggle relatives himself and finding their society fascinating, something which would be amplified by his mother's profession as a Muggle expert. Ever since Nick vanished however, he's lost most of his patient and outward demeanour, instead becoming closed off and quiet though still capable of being kind, if even a little rough around the edges at times. This made making friends at Ilvermorny difficult for him as he always seemed to "lack an interest" in being around his peers, only ever seeming to open up to his family whom he knew would understand him best. He works out his feelings through street circus, introduced by his mother and quickly becomes fond of the hobby. He's also very sensitive and can at times be aggressive towards anyone that comments about Nick and the incident around him. Because of the dead-end investigation, Casey swears to find his brother himself, enlisting the help of his ally, Emily Shephard.

Celeste (Mother)

Celeste Stone (née Miriad) is the beloved mother of Nick and Casey and wife to Declan. She had first met Declan in Arizona where she was a museum curator at the time. The two quickly fell in love and soon married, the two of them moving to Oregon to settle down. She gave birth to Nick in 2006 and to Casey in 2011, choosing to become a stay-at-home mother to look after both boys. When Nick was old enough to look after Casey on his own, she began work as a Muggle expert to learn more about their society, often bringing up her findings at the dinner table after work and sharing a few artefacts with the family, garnering an interest among everyone. She was heartbroken when Nick disappeared and attempted to help Casey to heal by introducing him to Muggle street circus, which he develops an interest in very quickly. While she is one of very few that believe Nick is still alive, she is slowly losing hope, with Casey only barely keeping her optimism grounded.

Declan (Father)

Declan Stone is the hardworking, humorous father of the Stone boys and equally loving husband to Celeste. Having been proficient in the Potions field since his school years, Declan is a proud and proficient Potioneer and primary breadwinner in the family, often having to leave Celeste to look after and home-school the boys before she would assist in making an income for the family. Like his wife, Declan is an affectionate parent and cares for his boys, even letting them test his potions in a safe and controlled environment. When Nick vanished, he was devastated, joining his wife in the struggle of trying to remain hopeful that Nick is still alive after so long. He supports Casey's affinity for street circus, content with how he seems to come around when he engages with the hobby though still worries about his sons' withdrawn attitude.

5ft in height, thin and athletic build, short wavy brown hair, brown eyes, very lightly tanned skin, as well as a small mole found in between his collarbones.

When not in his Ilvermorny uniform, Casey will wear dark coloured jeans and a plain T-shirt with a jacket over the top and trainers. In cold weather he'll wear long-sleeved shirts or a jumper over his layers.

W A N D L O R E

Mayhaw: It's properties as a wand wood are unknown.
Unicorn Hair: Wands with these cores produced the most consistent magic, were least subject to fluctuations and blockages, were most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts, and were the most faithful of wands. However, they did not make the most powerful of wands (unless the wand wood compensated) and were prone to melancholy if mishandled.
