As much as he would like to, he's not allowed to wear a variation of both at the same time, but can still often be found wearing one of his Japanese tops with a hoodie instead of his red and black haori, which he wears over his more casual Japanese outfit. Sometimes, he will ear a kimono (usually forced by his mother) when they go to places, and will only take his Japanese clothes when they visit their hometown each summer. His Western style is very casual- normally joggers and a hoodie. Whenever he needs to do something fairly causal, he will lean more towards his flannel shirt, but wears a tie dye t shirt the rest of the time. This is likely why he was sorted into Slytherin- while one would expect his intelligence and will to succeed to send him to Ravenclaw, he is in fact quite poor at magic itself, and his ambition has brought him to Slytherin. While it is true that he is untrustworthy and at times arrogant and stubborn, he is very defensive and once someone have won over his trust, he would be willing to stand by them until the end. Because of these traits, he has found it very difficult to make friends, and ended up landing with the rebels one January afternoon in the Astronomy Tower, and even then, he found it very difficult to get on with those who would become his close friends. One more thing that can weigh him down in friendship is his autism, which means that he struggles to talk to and emphasize with others, but manages it well as long as he keeps away from social gatherings, such as the balls often held in school.

• PRE-BIRTH • Reducio Nine years before Larino's birth, in 2003, the 22 year old muggle lawyer Tamayo Saki met the 26 year old pureblood owlet trainer Kendo Arveli at a temple in Kyoto, Japan. The two soon became close friends, and started dating one year later. They married in 2007, and had their first child on the 28th May 2009, a daughter named Umeko. Nearly two years later came their first and only son, Larino. While this happened, Tamayo's brother Hiroto was working in England as a muggle teacher, and met Cara Smith, a mediwitch who claimed she was a nurse, in 2008 when he was 33 and she was 29. The two quickly fell in love, and Hiroto decided to stay in England permanently. They got married at the start of 2011. Their only son was born on October 4th that year. Reducio Larino's ancestors all came from Japan, as far as he is aware. While he did move away in 2015 when he was four, him and his sister still have many connections after returning every summer since then. Larino still speaks Japanese as his first language, and only speak English when necessary, which is whenever he's around those who aren't immediate family members, unless he is in the process of visiting Japan. Before emigrating, the Arvelis lived in a small house in the center of Kyoto, and often visited the nearby gardens and temples. Because of this connection to his homeland, him and his sister want to learn all about it, since they moved away when they were very young. • IN JAPAN • • IN ENGLAND • Reducio A number of years after Larino's uncle Hiroto (his mother Tamayo's brother) had emigrated to England, unfortunately his father Kendo's parents passed away due to what the family believes to be an 'unfortunate accident'. After having no family remaining in Kyoto, or Japan at all, Larino, his immediate family, and his remaining grandparents (Tamayo and Hiroto's parents), emigrated to England to be closer to their remaining family. There, Larino's parents, aunt and uncle, plus Tamayo's and Hiroto's parents, all bought a house on the outskirts of Exeter. There, they all live, and have done so since the six of them emigrated. Despite living in a strictly British household, the large family try to upkeep their traditional Japanese ways, just as they did before moving. This will often include speaking Japanese, but they have to keep these things to a minimum as two family members (Cara, Larino's aunt and Oscar, his cousin) do not speak the language. Despite this, while the outside of the house does not belong in Japan, the inside clearly does. Larino's mother Tamayo did not know it when they met, but he is a wizard, and later went missing due to a cause unknown to the family. He is currently back in Kyoto, after discovering that he has a half-brother there. He didn't tell his relatives due to the reason for them moving to England was that they had no remaining family in Kyoto, or Japan at all.[/size] Reducio When he was seven, Larino and his family were playing a board game, where the dice were enclosed in a transparent dome, rather than shaking them yourself. The game had been going fine, but when his cousin had just won, Larino slapped his hands down on the table, and the dice shaker shattered, and the dice went flying. Thankfully, it didn't hit anyone, but made a mess of the game, but it also told the family that Larino, like his sister, would end up going to Hogwarts one day • FIRST INSTANCE OF MAGIC •

At first, Larino was very shy and didn't talk to others much, other than on the first day when he was obliged to do things like introduce himself, but as 2023 came around, he joined a group of other first years, who named themselves 'The Rebels', and started to play pranks on the whole school, which began to build his confidence.
