Ice, Ice, Baby Errand Closed

Description

What better way to ring in the new year than to get out of your comfort zone? Finley Greer has teamed up with our favorite nurse Polonious Frogge to organize a “polar plunge” in the Great Lake, a freezing dip in the ice cold water in the dead of winter. Why? For the thrill, for camaraderie, or perhaps to start the fresh year with a clear mindset.

Students will gather at the lakeshore and be given a piece of parchment by Finley, who will instruct them to write something on it that they would like to do or see in themselves in 2023. The parchment has been enchanted to disintegrate instantaneously when submerged in water.

A portion of the lake has been marked off for the event (with water shallow enough not to pose any danger), while Finley and Frogge stand by to guide, encourage, and supervise the adventurous plungers. Students will gather on the lakeshore and, on Finley’s signal, will rush into the freezing water with their vision for the year. Once they emerge, they’ll be given a warm coat and an encouraging “well done” from one of the two supervisors.
