Alexander Lantsov Found Dead at the Borders of Russia: The Lantsov Investigation is Closed By LORENZO WEBB ───────── xxxAlexander Lantsov, the head of the prestigious pureblood family — The Lantsovs — has been found dead last night by a group of patrolling guards at the borders of Russia. The famed owner of multiple businesses seemed to have gotten a sharp blow to the head and a knife wound in his gut, signaling that this was no ordinary death. But why was the millionaire traversing across the cold, frigid Russian border in the first place? xxxThe Lantsovs are wealthy pure-bloods, most known for their abundance of businesses and fortune. Originally of Russian descent, they moved to England for better opportunities. They are a family of great influence and power in the Wizarding World. However, in May of 2017, the Lantsovs have been suspected of illegal dealings. The family business was put under a sharp pause in order to launch an investigation. Multiple court battles took place

as the Lantsovs, specifically Alexander, went head to head with the legal authorities. The case went on for three months, neither side seeming to be winning. However, around the end of August, the tide was turned by an unexpected member who went against the Lantsovs. xxxCharlotte Lantsov, the eldest daughter of the family, sided with the government and a few colleagues of hers, namely Andrius Blue and Mariah Rietveld. The ex-Lantsov was able to procure incriminating evidence against her emancipated family, shifting the court's judgement. Due to the overwhelming evidence against them, the court announced in September of 2017 for the Lantsovs to be investigated starting, starting January of 2018. xxxBut things took a turn as Alexander Lantsov was found half-buried in the snow, dead, at the night of December 17th, 2017. The remaining members of the family came out this morning with a note from Alexander, where he admitted that he had participated in illegal deeds and planned to escape to the Russia. He was supposed to have left with the help of two of his business partners, whose names are not revealed due to confidential reasons. xxxEdith Lantsov, the now widowed mistress, claimed that she had no idea of her husband's dealings and promised to clear the family name of his actions. ──────────────

And with the rest of the family being uninformed of his crimes, the Lantsov Investigation runs cold.xxxEdith had given the government access to their archives and deals, but when checked, nothing could be found. It appears that Alexander had cleared all information regarding his work before he left. xxxWith Alexander Lantsov now dead and the final ruling announce, the family is now officially off the hook. Edith promises that they will do business legally and authorities may come and check their system if there is suspicion.
