The hotel is situated on the coveted Eastbourne seafront, and offers chartered tours to the nearby attractions that draw tourists to the city year-round. The money made from this enterprise allow the Hellebores to be local celebrities in Eastbourne, and earned them tickets into the upper-echelons of big names along Great Britain’s southern coast.
Pyxis has had everything he’s ever wanted… Well, if you ask him, he’d rather have more family dinners than two PlayStations, but in the grander scheme of things, the young boy has never had a worry in his life. His parents were perfectly parental, if not a little bit absent during the holiday rush. His friends shared the same attitudes he did. Or, the attitudes he pretended to have. His life’s path was clearly carved out with a private secondary school in London in his near future and a place at Oxford waiting for him thanks to some connection his father made a couple years ago. Pyxis doesn’t see how a career as an anonymous professional Valorant player will fit into that future, but there’s nothing that daddy’s money can’t buy, right?
One would think that little Pyxis' life is perfect, and they would be mostly right, but if he could have one wish, he’d use it to be free. The summer before his eleventh birthday, that wish would come true.
July, 2022. Ten-year-old Pyxis was having a bad day. His mother had promised to take him to the Pier for fish and chips, but there was a sudden influx of backpackers that day and it was all hands on deck at the hotel. Instead, Pyxis was forced to go with his nanny, a boring and unimaginative woman.
Already grumbly and sour, Pyxis returned to his room and booted up some Mario Kart. His disappointment reached through the screen, costing him several of his games. Sadness turned to anger and he couldn’t feel his hot face until his face literally became hot, warmed by the beginnings of a fire in his Switch dock. He screamed and wailed for help, and by the end of it all, nothing was damaged. Assumed to be an electrical fire, the Hellebores moved on from the incident until a messenger showed up at the door of their Victorian-style home, ready to reveal the wizarding world.
From that day onwards, nothing was the same in the Hellebore household. His parents were more attentive, but gave him continuous funny looks that made him wish they’d go back to being busy. They attempted to find tutors for him to make the transition into magic easier, but no one gave them the time of day. Pyxis would have to start fresh, and honestly, he was quite excited.personality。Prim and proper, demure and deferential. Pyxis was raised to be everything the son of a conglomerate owner should be. The franchise dreams of his family were never achieved, but his parents always encouraged him to be the perfect child. It would help him get far in life, they said. It was to avoid getting cancelled, he knew. So Pyxis found himself speaking when spoken to, publicizing hobbies that were appropriate, and keeping anything deemed ungentlemanly locked within the four corners of his room. If anything, the boy is surely a hard worker, because this behavior does not come easily to him. He loves people. He loves attention. He loves video games. Bottling it all up when he leaves his home is the most difficult thing he’s ever had to do (for a nepo baby, of course).patronus。
