Felix is about 5'4". His hair never really stays neat, partially because he cut it himself, and he's not too good at that. He has brown eyes and freckles during the warmer weather, and he tends to slouch quite a lot.
Overall, he's pretty friendly, and likes helping out where he can. He tries to make a lasting impression on people he meets, whether that be a positive or negative one. While fully capable of enjoying his own company, he does like hanging out with people, and will sometimes latch onto random ones he meets if he finds them interesting enough. Felix often attempts to find out as much as he can about someone before actually approaching them. He's pretty good at that, mostly though observation and word of mouth.
Messing with people is a sort of side hobby for him. Felix loves pranks, telling stories, and giving false directions if he's in the mood for it. It's mostly harmless and he works to ensure that it stays that way, although some previous people haven't seen it that way.
If he's bored enough or if someone gets on his nerves, he'll often bother them in whatever way he can. While he tries to keep it lighthearted, just aiming for an argument or any other interesting reaction, he can sometimes go too far with it, or get actually frustrated.
Felix likes to learn, and has decent grades in most of his subjects. In the classes he enjoys most (Herbology, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures) he's fairly knowledgeable and likes talking and reading about it. Sometimes he talks too much about it.
Felix really likes dragons, and wants to find out as much as he can about them. Even before Hogwarts, he read and watched as many dragon related books and movies as he could, and when he got here that was his biggest excitement, that dragons were real. Over time he has gotten interested in astronomy and some other things, but dragons remain a main thing for him.

Felix was born in Plymouth, his parents are Amadeus ('Duke', for short) and Mackenzie Hawthorn. Duke is often travelling or off at work, so Felix's grandparents care for him and his sister, Collie, most of the time.
Felix's dad was muggleborn, and distanced himself from the magical world after he graduated Hogwarts. He planned to live a "normal life". With the chance of his children having magic, he was forced to explain some things to his wife, which may have started the first of many arguments leading to their eventual separation. Felix himself didn't learn about magic until he was 10, and he found it incredibly exciting.
Felix attended the Bridge of Allan Primary school before coming to Hogwarts. He had fairly good grades and was well-liked by his teachers, but got away with quite a bit of mischief otherwise.
When he started first year, he picked the name Felix for himself. He liked the name because it reminded him of a character in a fantasy book he'd read once. He couldn't remember the book, just the name. Felix currently identifies as trans, although he isn't entirely sure yet that that particular label fits him.
