A prank shop? Sounds like somewhere for me!
Felix was a quiet prankster. He was a decent student. He got passing grades. He didn't seem like someone who would play tricks. There had been rumours back in Stirling that he 'had a friend' who played those vengeful pranks. Really, it was all him, and people just refused to believe it.
Sometimes he pranked because he was bored. Sometimes he pranked because he held a grudge. Sometimes he would get caught.
But he usually got off the hook. Teachers at his old school always seemed to like him, no matter what, or how much he did wrong.
Hogwarts was a new school, with new rules, new punishments, new teachers and new students. He didn't know the boundaries yet, so he'd play it safe for the first few months anyway.
Felix didn't have much wizard money left, but there was no harm in looking. He hummed to himself as he checked out the wares on the shelves.
The extendable ears seemed good, very useful. Canary cremes were interesting, certainly magical.
Homing snowballs? Could be good, provided you had very bad aim without magic.
Fanged frisbees and ever-bashing boomerangs sounded so great! Felix may or may not listen to the 'not in enclosed spaces' rule, but still!
Lots of things were worth more than he could pay for, with the small amount of wizard money he had left after buying all his school supplies, but he'd have to remember those for next year, when he'd hopefully have more money. (Not sure how, but hopefully, cause he wanted to get more dragon books, maybe a game of wizard's chess, and some extendable ears)

Elizabeth was a perfect child. Scratch that.
Elizabeth was a decent kid.
She studied almost every chance she got.
She pranked people whenever she wasn't studying.
She waited until she was comfortable in a new place before pranking people.
She was often suspicious but her friend Zabe who attended Beauxbaton insisted that she would never prank others.
The only reason she had never gotten caught? Zabe stood up for her, insisting that she was too good to be a prankster. If only she could get Zabe to listen and know the truth.
It wasn't too bad to look at the renowned shop, "Weasley's Wizard Wheezes," was it? After all, the only thing that she could do was make a list of what to buy which she did.
Who would think that canary creme was just delicious food anyways? She didn't know. All she knew was that she wanted it.
Would extendable ears work in Hogwarts? She would find out.
She definitely knew about the invisibility cloak and the map because Harry Potter had both.
Wizard chess set? That just sounded like extreme fun.
Her prank set? That would come later, maybe when she was comfortable in her second year. Or during the summer.

List: Canary creme, extendable ears, invisibility cloak, maruader's map, and a wizard's chess set.

A prank shop? Sounds like somewhere for me!
Suddenly, Felix notices a girl nearby, looking around the store too. He decides to ignore her, and continues inspecting the numerous items on the shelves. He stops humming, but
Wizard chess seemed pretty cool, though he didn't really know how to play chess in general. It's never too late to learn a game. He still hovered by the fanged frisbees, He'd always enjoyed a good game of frisbee. You probably shouldn't catch those in your hands, since they are fanged frisbees.
Felix had never worked with other people when he pranked. The few times he had, either they'd ratted him out, they'd ditched him, or they'd gotten caught when he hadn't. None of them had really been friends anyway.
He'd never been good at making friends.
No matter how friendly or polite he was, they always left after a while.
The closest he'd gotten to long-term friends were his buddies in cub Scouts, who he only got to see once a week, and now that he was going to Hogwarts, basically never.
His dad and grandma were obsessed with any 'friends' he made that were his age, and, also, they preferred that his friends were girls, since, according to them, 'just because you're a tomboy doesn't mean you can't hang out with the girls'.
Felix was pretty happy that Hogwarts was a boarding school. Some time away from home might be just what he needed.
He turned slightly to see what the girl was looking at, not really caring, but still looking.

Looking at dungbombs and exploding snap, she grinned widely. This is the perfect prank set I've ever seen! She thought and sighed. Of course, she didn't have any money to buy them. Maybe, just maybe, she could save some money and buy them.
She took one of each down and fingered them, wishing that she could buy them. Noticing a boy looking at her, she grinned and said, "I'm looking to see what I can buy for when I have enough money for my prank set. I'm a prankster you know. Unusually because I'm a Ravenclaw you know." She said and put them back on the shelf. "Wish I had enough money to buy them. Are you a prankster? If you are, then you're safe from my pranks." She said.
Looking around, she didn't see anything much of interest so she stood, staring longingly at the dungbombs and exploding snaps. I have to earn money somehow! I really need to buy these so I can get back to pranks. It's been too long since I've done pranks. She thought and fingered her cloak.
Maybe I can sew some clothes? Or ask Mama and Papa for money? No, they would ask why I need the money. Well, I guess I'll just have to wait till I have enough money. She thought and sighed.

Well, he got caught watching, but a conversation would be nice right now, so Felix turns to face her fully and says "I dunno, Ravenclaws might just be the pranksters who don't get found out. And yeah, I'm a prankster.". He really wishes that he had enough money to get some stuff, but he didn't really have enough right now, which sucked.
"You could try running errands for someone to get money. It might take a while to save up much, but it's a start." he adds, though he hasn't done anything to actually earn any money yet, he knows how to. "If your family are wizards and are willing to pay you an allowance, you could just do the usual house chores- grass cutting, laundry, dusting and whatnot. Easy enough, if you have the spare time for it.".
Felix gives a last look at the (really awesome) frisbees, and walks over to look at the exploding snap game with her. Looks interesting, maybe he can put that on his mental list too. The mental list that is getting way too big every moment he's in here. He has horrible memory for most things, but items, French, and story ideas sure stick in his head.

"My friend always insists that it's impossible for me to be a prankster. She never listens when I tell her that I am one." Elizabeth said.
Noting his house color she said, "I heard that Slytherins are devious but not the kind to go around making pranks. Then again, some kids are pranksters and get sorted into Slytherin."
Thinking for a moment as they walked over to the exploding snap gameset, she answered his money-earning suggestion, "I only get a Sickle for my allowance because I'm only 11. It's better than when I was younger though. I only got 3 Knuts for my allowance."
Fixing her hair up out of her eyes she said, "Then again, my parents know that I do some pranks. Like putting a bucket of paint on the roof that as soon as you close the door from the outside, it pours down. Unfortunately, it was my dad who was the victim. I thought it would be my brother. He was very mad, my dad was." Then she giggled at the fond memory and sighed, "have you done anything like that before?"
"I've done lots of things like that before. Some I got caught in the act, others I didn't."

"Honestly, I've never really gone by the 'prankster' title. My policy has always been 'get revenge, don't get caught'. And I usually keep to it. It only changed to pranks for fun when the boredom and spite was too strong to ignore." Felix says, tucking his hands in his pockets.
"I've never really gotten an allowance.I used to get a couple of bucks for cleaning mirrors or windows in the house. I only have wizard money because my dad had a little bit laying around and didn't have any use for it." It was kind of odd that his dad had any of the wizarding money left at all, considering how long it's been since he actually used non-normal money.
Felix had never understood why his dad wanted to just ignore magic in the first place. He'd literally gone to Hogwarts and then went on to an entirely normal life.
Amandus Hawthorne was the local handyman, with a great work ethic. An engineer in some car factory, and a single parent. He believed in working hard and earning your own.
Felix Hawthorne was a procrastinator, a trickster. The kid with decent grades, a pessimistic attitude, and terror of public speaking.
