Bridgette stands at four foot six during their first year at Hogwarts. They will grow, of course, but not until the middle of their second year. After that it's only up from there! They will stop growing at fifteen years old and at the height of five foot four. They have a skinny figure with long legs and a short torso. Bridgette's arms are lengthy with long fingers and slim palms, chewed nails from their many moments of doubt and lack of anything better to do.

They walk with a slouched gait, usually seen with their arms crossed or in their pockets. It isn't by design, of course, but it just so happens to be the natural fall of their features when they're relaxed. If eyes are on them, or if they believe there are, they usually paste on a smile they've cultivated from years of being asked 'what's wrong?' from the lax state of their features. Once close with someone they will not feel the need to fake their expressions nor their reactions to things. They will be comfortable.

Bridgette speaks with an articulate and calm tone of voice, raising it only when stressed or upset, but not when they're angered. Their voice will start out with a laidback, squeaky undertone to it and eventually deepen into a thick Irish accent. It will become lilting, arrogant as they grow and gain experience.

Born to Credence and Ned Mooney in Belfast, Ireland. From there they were raised alongside their elder brother, Alexander Mooney, and their eldest sister, Linneya Mooney.
Alexander is an exceptional role model for Bridgette, as well as Linneya, and they long to be as good at magic as the two of them, if not better.
They were raised atheist, and due to the fact that magic does do indeed exist, that was probably a good thing. Otherwise, their religious beliefs would likely clash with their want for knowledge and the exploration of the unknown, something they intend to follow once they graduate from Hogwarts.
In primary school they were often a loner, creating games for themself to play, or inviting other loners to play them too. Bridgette wasn't fond of normal school and got in trouble quite a lot for misbehaving, wanting to learn more than their teachers were teaching and often would go more in depth at home on their parents laptop to learn what they wanted to know.
Their parents are general employees, their being mother an archivist for the Ministry of Magic and their father an owlet trainer for the post office.
Their parents raised them and their siblings well, with enough food in their bellies and enough clothes on their backs. They were well cared for and now that Bridgette is attending Hogwarts in the fall they can't wait to see where they're headed.

Bridgette had their first instance of magic when they were five years old, when their brother called them a particularly nasty name and before anyone could stop it or prevent it from happening Bridgette's brother was suspended in the air, wailing for their mother to help him down. Soon their parents peered into the room, seeing a flying child and another staring dumbfounded with tears streaking down their cheeks, anger still warming the femme's rounded face.

Wand: 30,5 cm alder wood and unicorn hair

Bridgette's wand is thirty and a half centimeters long, marking them as an individual with something to lack in their personality, as it's below the average of the typical wand. Said lack would be their temper and the inability to see through things that, well, are quite obvious. The handle is round and small, and it fits perfectly in their hand. They will have a few missteps, and the wood of the wand will cause some issues with learning how to wield it, but they will eventually figure it out.

The Alder wood of Bridgette's wand is powerful, very good for nonverbal spellcasting. However, the rigidity of the wand itself indicates that Bridgette is not very adaptable to change, preferring things be the same old for as long as they can get away with it. That being said, though, their core of unicorn hair greatly offsets this. It is not considered the most powerful of cores but the confidence and temperamental nature of the Alder wood exterior of the wand remedies this quite perfectly. The core of the femme's wand also indicates the pure heart of it's wielder, no malignant intent would be expected from one who wields a unicorn hair infused wand.

Development Goals

✧ Decides to try dueling and gets put on their ass in like 2 seconds flat. Happily goes up to their opponent and starts fawning over their skill and asks for some tutoring.
✧ This causes them to gain knowledge on the subject and practice their spells more avidly, rather than slack off and do the bare minimum.
✧ Development idea here.

What could possibly go wrong?

༊*·˚ She Brought WHAT?! && Private ft. James Flynn && Bridgette had an absolutely AWFUL day, and by the time they made it to the dining hall all of their favorite seats were taken! They decided to sit next to a second year boy whom they had seen in the halls every once in a while and it turns out, hey, maybe they have a little bit in common? But the big piece of this interaction is the eensy weensy little hazing that James is doing to poor, poor Bridgette. What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

Tesla Stone && Poor Bridgette once again ended up on the bad end of a spell, and was found by Tesla Stone wrapping their legs around each other and their wand pointed into the air. Tesla promptly helps them out, casting a counter spell, and they sit down for a chat.

༊*·˚ The Explosion && Private ft. Rodney Hughes & Potentially Professor Regan && One of Rodney's friends messed up his potion, causing an explosion, and now the entire class is on the floor while waiting for everything to be fixed up and to get back to their terribly fun potion making. Bridgette is seen latched onto the arm of a rather handsome first year Hufflepuff who is no other than Rodney Hughes. The worst is over... right?

Brdigette was raised in a magical home, one rife with spells being used on the daily for simple tasks as well as a singular house elf to help maintain the residence. They also more than often went to their grandmother's house and spent time with her, where the magic seeped into the forest and the gardens that bloomed with ingredients used in potions.

They soon developed a sense from living in these environments that when they were being watched a tightening of their gut would prompt their head to turn in the direction the gaze was coming from, and at one point sensing a snake slithering about in the grasses wasn't as animal-esque as they thought, eventually ending in them running to their grandmother to come and get it. Turned out the snake was a messenger, a metamorphmagus that had an important order of herbal ingredients and other such things for their grandmother to fulfill, as well as questions to ask her about some important events that were going to happen.

Another instance of their 'sixth sense' is that when they were growing up, they had two elder siblings-- which meant constantly being bullied and often berated for being the youngest, as well as being the easiest to jump scare, they began to get a feeling of 'he's around the corner waiting for me, isn't he?' and then once they turn the corner their brother is jumping at them and they're on the floor. That is only one instance, though, isn't it? With siblings there are plenty of times that shenanigans and pranks are performed, and when you're the youngest in a magic-abled family, where the two eldest have access to the Weasley's joke store in Diagon Alley... sometimes it's all you can do to avoid them, much less anticipate them. Through the years their sense of something being too quiet or off usually lead to them being slathered in some sort of goop in their hair, so difficult to get out that it lead to them just cutting their hair or sitting in front of their mother with a beat-red face and asking her to fix it.

They learned that things were not as they seemed, that more often than not something was bound to go wrong, something was off, something was different and most of the time they couldn't quite put their finger on why that was. As they age they will learn that these gut feelings and instinctual backtracks are not just a coincidence, that maybe they have some substance to them, and that they should probably listen to these gut feelings.
