The day had been a drag, if they had to be honest, the food at supper kind of bordering on medium goodness, and the classes being the longest they had ever thought possible. How was one day so long and boring? They had only just started the year and already things were starting off on the wrong foot.

They had gone from eating supper tp finding themself entering the library's doors once again, but this time not for the sake of curiosity. This time, in fact, they had some homework that genuinely puzzled them and that they needed to do some research on before they would be able to complete it. They just couldn't get the movement of their wand down.

They had found the book they needed in a stack of recently returned textbooks, as well as a few others that they definitely wanted to read, but not too many that they would have to reknew them in a weeks time. Bridgette didn't often create problems for themself (that is a complete and bold-faced lie, but that is what they believe) but waiting until last minute to do their homework definitely created an issue they would need to remedy quite quickly.

Maybe instead of watching Quidditch and Dueling practices and actually working on the homework that they needed to get finished, to get turned in, they would have the work done... but the idea of joining these teams that they watched so avidly was one that wasn't easily erased from the brain. They couldn't help but long to join the teams-- either one, really, it just depended on if they had any openings or not, and currently they didn't.... so it seemed they would have to wait until a spot opened up. And, y'know, get better at the attack spells they were learning, including Lumos. Lumos could be used as an attack spell, right? You could blind somebody with it if you're good enough at it!

Bridgette's thoughts were running rampant as they sat hunched over their work in their usual spot of the library, struggling quite hard with their Charms homework and not quite understanding how any of it was supposed to make sense to anyone. They let their head fall into their hands for a moment, allowing themself to rest their eyes before snapping back up to complete the assignment that they had been given in order to get it done before the curfew began.

Steeling themself against the exhaustion from the day, they check the book they were looking at and try the dancing charm again.

"Lumos!" They hiss, but the tip of their wand only gives a blip of light. They grimace, quickly trying once, twice, thrice more times with little to not improvement. What could they possibly be doing wrong?!

They sit up, feet under their chair in order to steady themself, before trying again, only to have their wand start vibrating in their hand, jumping out of their hand and onto the floor. They put their hands on their cheeks in a worried fashion, eyes wide as they watched their wand perform the sacred art of a temper tantrum.
