Well technically this particular site (HiO) doesn't have face claims, not like other sites. So whoever you choose to represent your children, someone else could also choose the same ones to represent their children. I'm not saying they WILL but since there's no rule at the moment preventing the same face claim to be used for your PC, iNPC, family members or children, it's always a possibility!

I personally find it kind of odd if someone else has the same face claim as me... imo that's way too confusing (which is why most sites have face claims so whenever you select one, no one else can use it) unless they are specifically related to you or your family in some manner. Like there are dopplegangers out there in real life that resemble you but they don't look 100% the same.

If they DO look 100% the same, it's because you have an identical twin somewhere in your family that was kept from you. But that's just my take on things. I like things to make sense.

having a fc claim forum would be unfair to new users considering people who joined earlier would've gotten first dibs on who they want as their fc. it's really not that big of a deal if someone has the same fc as you, you can either make a plot out of it or just completely ignore it. this is a fictional rp website, so yes sometimes people don't look exactly the same irl even if you are doppelgangers, but this isn't real life so their can be a bit of leeway if two people look like florence pugh for example, and technically your character is already a doppelganger of whoever you chose as your fc.

it's unfair to new players and really everyone if only one person is allowed a single fc. so yeah, maybe other sites have a fc claim forum but hio doesn't and i personally don't ever see it being added because i think a lot of us prefer that we can have whoever we want as our fc.

Yeah I didn't mean to say that it would ever be implimented on HiO, I was just saying that for most sites (at least most sites I've been on or have taken a look at) they do have a face claim board. And I'm just used to having it be that way and it's what I prefer. I still love HiO though and even though it doesn't have a face claim board I will still be here! As for it not being a big deal, on HiO yes it's not that big of a deal but in general for me it is a big deal. I like having the peace of mind knowing that someone else won't be using the exact same person I have portraying my own character.

But whatever!

I didn't see your post Ivy, let me go read it. Read it! I must have missed that one but yeah I can see your point Ivy and I totally understand it. Regarding Hogwarts being a big school and how you might not ever run into the person with the same face claim that's entirely possible! I also agree with everything you said before in the post too. But it still doesn't change the fact that a lot of people apparently disagree because if they all agreed, how come there are TONS of sites out there that have face claim boards? HiO is the first one I've seen so far that doesn't have a face claim board.

But I can see how it's better of course for HiO people if there are no face claims. Thankfully I haven't run into anyone who shared the same FC as others yet. However, if I do in the future it will be a learning experience! Although it might take some getting used to as I'm not familiar with doing so.

Maybe I should seek help from my school counsellor first, or I should deal with it myself.
I think my parents are just worrying about I spend too much time online and may run into something inappropriate such as cults or political groups, stuff like that...

well you usually go to therapy to figure out what the problem is lolol, but you can be in a really good state mentally and still get help, because therapy helps you stay in a good spot
