Their team seemed to be back in action -- she watched with exhilaration as Winnie racked up Ravenclaw's points, drawing the gap to a close; Aly seemed to have spotted the Snitch as well. They sure were back in the game. Ebony, however, seemed to still be stuck in that muddled confusion that persisted from the beginning of the match. She swung her bat, the adrenaline-inducing sound ringing through her ears. She thought it was a good hit, and so of course it was a shock when the heavy ball began to veer towards their curly-haired seeker. The bewilderment only increased when the bludger shot back in Ebony's direction, only swerving a hair's length away. Evidently, her mind was elsewhere; where exactly it was, she wasn't sure.

And down went the bird, stripped right from the sky like a creature with it's wings clipped. Quite poetic alas, but only a fortune telling of what was to be the rest of the ravens' fate. Prat didn't wish to be too cocky and dream of things that'd betray the reality, but the boy couldn't help but dream.

Damien continued to watch on with a smile on his face as their team was back in actions and working wonderfully. He was especially proud of Winnie who was racking up the points as now they were catching up with only ten points behind Slytherin now. Mikey had thought his heart had been pounding at the first whistle apparently that had just been the warm up. Now it felt like his ribs were a drum and the whole stadium was hitting it in time. The moment Winnie started racking up goals, he was on his feet so fast he nearly took Damien’s knee out with his broom. He jabbed Damien lightly with his elbow and pointed out towards the seekers, where the chase had properly started.

Ophelia watched as her team not only scored some points, but also it seemed that their seeker had spotted the snitch too! A little flash of gold was all it took for a seeker to dive after their catch, and when the Ravenclaw girl saw that the opposing team's seeker had spotted the snitch too, she was a little worried. Catching the snitch didn't just mean a bunch of points added to your team, it also meant the end of the game. If Slytherin got the snitch this early in the game, it wouldn't be great for her team.
In order to keep up morale, and to just keep herself occupied, Ophelia started to cheer for those who might need an extra boost. In the midst of the chaos, Lottie caught sight of a Ravenclaw uniform pursuing the goals at high speed. She threw herself in front of the goals, attempting to anticipate Winnie’s next move. It was no use, though, as Winnie seemed to fly at lightning speed. Lottie watched in frustration as the other girl managed to slot 40 points in for Ravenclaw.
Cursing softly under her breath, Lottie attempted to regain her composure. It certainly wasn’t over yet.

They needed to catch up, and Winnie wasn't about to let Slytherin hog the Quaffle again. She soared through the air, snatching the ball and tossing it through the hoop as many times as she could. By the time the round was over she had sweat beading along her forehead. Still, they were a few points short.

ReducioIn the role of Chaser when you attempt to catch a passed Quaffle (such as when the Keeper has possession of the Quaffle and passes it to a teammate) you have advantage (meaning that it is rolled twice and you keep the better option) on attempts to catch if the opponent team attempts to intercept.
In the role of Chaser, as a free action if the user of this broom is successful in the quafflegrab they can as a free action pass the Quaffle to another user in an attempt to score. There is a chance of the quaffle being intercepted, however due to the fact that the user is "so fast" with the quaffle this would be considered "surprising" and the attempt to score would be done at +3 accuracy by the player it was passed to in an attempt to score.
Note: The attempt to score would be an automatic attempt by the user that catches the passed quaffle.
In the role of Chaser, if you have a contested quaffle grab and a contested strength roll between yourself and another user is in progress, unless they have the same broom, you would be the victor of the contested quaffle grab. In addition, rounds where you are successfully carrying the quaffle in an attempt to score, you only take half-damage from bludgers and blatching attempts.

Luckily, Ravenclaw got it into high gear in the next few seconds. Winnie swept towards the opposing hoops, managing to score four goals in quick succession, and Aly breathed a sigh of relief; at least they were only ten points behind now rather than fifty, and no more birds were plummeting towards the ground like their feathers had been plucked mid-flight. This was an outcome she could certainly take, at least for now. Her hope was not unfounded, her wish granted, if in a certainly roundabout way; as she turned to watch Avis hopefully knock the elder of the opposing Beaters off his broom, a golden glint over her younger teammate's shoulder caused Aly's heart to kick-start in an adrenaline-fueled rush. There it was! The Golden Snitch - all Snidget-like and roly-poly, glimmering gold there in the cloudy afternoon sky. Even as Aly put her heels to her Oakshaft, ready to flee across the field after it, Avis's attempt went horribly wrong and she was spotted by a referee. The captain groaned, throwing Avis a thumbs-up anyway. "Good shot. Worth a try!" she called out to the younger girl, who was now off on her penalty lap. "Go - we've got this for a bit."
The best part? Because the seventh-year was so distracted by the Snitch, she hardly noticed the drama going on between her own Beaters. The Bludgers were more like harmless flies at this point, whizzing around by her head, with nary a care put towards them. With any luck, that would remain a more permanent condition.
