wip family and life before hogwarts

Biography:
-short bio- Felix was born in Sujeong-dong, Busan, South Korea to Korean parents. He has a younger sister named Sophia and an older sister named [tba]. At the age of 4, he moved to Scotland with his parents and attended muggle school there. Unknownst to the fact that he would ever be a wizard, he led a far from normal life up until he received his hogwarts letter.

-full length bio- Felix supposed his childhood, while quite out of the ordinary, was nothing of the extreme. This was why despite the many far from normal troubles he had faced as a young kid, his mouth was quite sealed shut when it came to talking about the matter. He supposed other children varied more complex sorts of background, and that his was not anything too tragic to make a fuss about. In fact, he became so good at locking up any of these thoughts or feelings at all, that he became quite quiet indeed. His voice, once laced with a sweet honey-like tone, had lost such radiance. Although this might have been to do with the loss of his mother, it was more quite likely that it had only rusted from habitual lack of use. Therefore, despite his young age, his voice had always been on the lower, huskier side. Of course gentle nature was still there, afterall we don't just lose a trait like that.

Felix supposed his life might have been more fortunate had he stayed in Busan, after all it wasn't like he liked scotland at all. In fact he hated it. It wasn't such the place itself which made his tolerance of it so low, but rather that fact that after his move there with his family, it seemed that things had only gone downhill from there. At the age of merely 8, his mother had left, and he was left to bear the yells of his cold and inconsiderate father daily.

Maybe it was his presence around his father which had hardened his previously soft personality. Felix did not know who to be angry at, his mother or his father. So to be safe he shut them both out from his mind and continued to hibernate within himself, burring such soft feelings into his subconscious.

Not all was so grim and sombre though, for he had 2 other siblings in the house with him. Both girls, although he supposed that was alright. He didn't quite get along with his older sister as much as the younger, although he supposed they may grow onto each other one day. His younger sister Jae-Hwa was something else. Such a ray of sunshine, oh how he adored her. She was the spitting image of his mother, save her hazel eyes, which were those of his grandmother. Jae-Hwa never let anything get her down, and Felix supposed that's what he loved dearly about her, the fact that she was quite what he might have turned out to be should his mother have stayed with him.

It came to the age of 10 and Felix was ever more mature than he had been a few years back. Living in a muggle society with no knowledge of the wizarding world, he began to prepare for secondary school. By the age of 11, he was smarter than anyone in his year, witty and sharp, not to mention charming. It seemed he was set for life, however not even the wittiest boy of 11 could have seen this next one coming. His hogwarts letter. It was the morning of his 11th birthday, and he happened to be putting on his shoes for school when he noticed a letter laying on the front door mat. Assuming it was for his father (urgent business matters and whatnot) he swiped it from the ground and started towards his office. As his hand was about to turn the handle, he glanced down at the address of the letter.

Felix.

It was his name. Who on earth would be writing to him? His mother never bothered to send word these days, she hadn't for many years. In any case, this wasn't her handwriting. He opened the envelope and pulled out the letter, his fingered fumbling to unfold it when-

And suddenly his father was there. And there was yelling and he was confused and angry. Why had his father taken his letter? What was there his father didn't want him to know? But there was one thing that stood out among all the confusion in Felix's head as he walked up the stairs and into his bedroom, closing the door behind him. A word he had seen scrawled in green ink on the yellowing parchment, moments before he had the letter ripped from his grasp.

'Hogwarts'

What on earth was that? A made up word? Was his mind playing trick on him, was he delusional? What could it mean?

His father certainly had a lot to explain to him.

First Instance of Magic: Felix’s first instance of accidental underaged wandless magic occurred around the age of 7 upwards. He found that when feeling emotionally distressed, objects around him (like books) would either fall off their shelves or tremble. He brushed this off however, seeing as it was a rare occurrence and he put it to his imagination. Only when he received his Hogwarts letter did it all finally make sense.
