This errand is part of the 2026 International Magical Olympic Games.
January 25th, 2026
Durmstrang Institute
Several weeks before the students of Durmstrang were to leave for the International Magical Olympic Games (IMOG), which would this year be hosted at the Koldovstoretz Conservatory in wintry Russia, an anonymous professor decorated one empty classroom with plenty of sign-making materials. Everything from large poster boards and rolls of parchment to markers, paints, glitters, and, of course, quills and inks in varying colors and of varying enchantments could be found scattered around the desks and tables. A snack bar had also been set up at one end, boasting local delicacies - such as baklava, soleti pretzels, and the standard meats and breads - in case students got hungry while they were making posters.

Of course, the creation of posters was not just for fun. Different schools always took great pride in winning the IMOG, whensoever they were hosted at different times throughout the many years that they had existed alongside the Muggle version. To support other athletes from one's own school was considered just as much of an honour as was competing in one of the games. As such, the professor who had set up this errand had promised rich rewards to any who came to create a supportive banner, whether they were going to the games themselves or staying home. Of course, students could go to the Koldovstoretz visit and not compete; that was why an abundance of posters could be made, to be sent along with the school’s delegation.

A school with no supporters was certain to be a losing school! The audience is just as important as the athletes.
This errand is not moderated.
Aulis is not in attendance. Please do not godmod him or any other specific Heads or professors as being in attendance.
Only Durmstrang students should post in this thread. Check out the errand requirements here for links to the other schools' threads and the errand requirements.

Louis had read a flyer on the billboard a few days prior, promptly forgot about it, and would not have known what would happen on the 25th. Heading to his dormitory, a freshly checked out book tucked under his arm, Louis' only goal was to reach the comfor of his bed. That was, when a hand tapped his shoulder. Startled, the boy turned and nearly smacked right into Leisel, his twin. "Leisel! What!?"

"You coming? For a school pride thing." She cocked her head. Her friends were waiting for her further down the hall, but Louis didn't want to go with them. If he had to talk to any, he might as well just disappear off the Earth's surface.

"I'll come in a bit." He replied, gesturing to his book. Leisel nodded, and skipped off.

It wasn't hard to find the classroom-- all he had to do was follow the sound and crowd of people. Squeezed between two older students, he was carried to the classroom. A hand shot up in the air close to him, and Louis say Leisel motioning to him. He slipped through some people, sitting on the bench next to Leisel before the spot was taken.

Once Louis sat and grabbed a piece of parchment, Leisel turned her attention back to her friends, and Louis felt glad because he didn't like talking much, especially in a noisy room sandwiched between people he hardly recognized.

But he was going to make the best of it, and Louis had been told he had artistic talent. After grabbing two brushes from a nearby pot and grimacing at the dripping paint water, he set it down and reached for a set of watercolor paints. It wasn't after he'd done this, that he realized he had no idea what to do. To his right, Leisel was sprinkling glitter on the border of her brightly colored poster. To his left, a boy was scribbling fiercely on a parchment. Louis reached for some old newspaper, and after cutting it irregularly, stuck it on his board. He decided he was going to make something that, as Leisel said, showed he was proud of his school. Doing his best to picture a wizard casting a spell, he began to draw. After he drew the wizard, the boy painted a dragon. Dragons were fierce, and Louis knew that it would show their athletes competitiveness. Finally, sticking a cutout of a ballerina he freed from a newspaper, and a quidditch stand tower, he finished his artwork with some outlines and, in his best handwriting, a (slightly wobbly) 'GO DURMSTRANG'.

Satisfied, he dropped the brushed back in the pot of dark water, and leaned back to admire his poster. It wasn't professional, but Louis decided it was enough. He stretched and after saying a goodbye to his sister, managed to get off of the hot and sweaty bench.

Making his way to the snack bar, he wrapped a pretzel in tissue and exited the room after turning in his banner.
