Louis Alexander Eltz Fürstenberg and Leisel Ilse Eltz Fürstenberg were born on April 29th, 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland into the prestigious house of Fürstenberg. Their parents, Friedrich Konstantin von Eltz Fürstenberg and Therese Magdalene von Eltz Fürstenberg (neé von Hohenburg) are nobility from the House of Fürstenberg and the House of Hohenburg respectively. While not common in most wizarding families, the two families were deeply religious. It's said that a member of the family lived in a muggle village and picked up the religion, Christianity. While certain beliefs clash with that of the wizarding world, they made it work. Friedrich and Therese are both German nobility, but Therese was raised in Switzerland and Austria, while Friedrich spent his years in Germany. Therese graduated from Beauxbatons and Friedrich, from Durmstrang. They met while Friedrich visited family in Geneva and Therese, the daughter of a family friend, so happened to be there. Friedrich took a liking to her, and Therese fancied him as well. They established a relationship shortly after, and married the following year. They were 21. Their firstborn was a boy, Konrad Heinrich Eltz Fürstenberg, on their second year of marriage. Their daughter Mathilde Agnes Eltz Fürstenberg was born the third year. Louis Alexander Eltz Fürstenberg and Leisel Ilse Eltz Fürstenberg were twins, born six years later. While Leisel was announced a healthy baby girl, Louis was born deaf. His parents then spent the first two years of his life trying to find something that could give him back sound, failing every time they had a glimmer of hope. Louis stayed at home, watching his two older siblings slowly getting older and attending Durmstrang. Leisel made friends with some other girls, and played on the grounds of their manor, or laughing at jokes he couldn't hear. Louis was upset, confused, frustrated and pained. It influenced his mood and he was angry all the time, this lead to him being difficult. His father was busy with obligations and stayed in his study most of the time with important people or across the globe (though more commonly only around Europe), and wasn't able to give him fatherly love and the boy always felt as if he was ashamed of having such a son. But it was his father that told everyone to learn two different sign languages for the boy. His twin sister was sent to a private day school opened by their wizarding community when she was of primary school age. She would get up and disappear for a few hours, and come back with rosy cheeks and showcasing her brightly colored crafts proudly to their mother. Louis envied her, and pleaded with his mother to let him go. But she wouldn't, couldn't and instead, his father found him a govener, in the hopes of keeping him quiet. He didn't like his govener, and hated his old ways. The boy rejected three goveners and governesses, before Fräulein Sigrid came into the picture. She was gentle, and taught him how to control his temper. She was firm, and used the rod only when she really needed it. Fräulein Sigrid educated him in fields his father thought suitable for him, and the world was slowly pieced together. When he was six, he was able to regain sound partially, and Fräulein Sigrid patiently taught him how to speak and what sound was. Around a year later, Louis could hear completely. Fräulein Sigrid's also a very dear friend to the child, and he loved her as much as he did his mother. Louis was a quick learner and it wasn't long before he was speaking fluently in three of the four official languages in Switzerland: Swiss/Standard German, French and Italian, as well as Bulgarian, Russian and English. He's quiet, and enjoyed reading and educating himself. He is especially fond of finding and using big words. Despite starting to speak almost six years later, by the time he was 10 and ready for Durmstrang, he had a vocabulary and pronunciation that was better than most of his peers. This gave him satisfaction and pride. He was also obsessed with violin, piano, fine arts, sketching, traditional German dances and singing. He managed to get into a prestigious children's orchestra and choir by himself. His parents took them back to Germany, near the big ancestral castle the head of the House of Fürstenberg lived when he was 9, so he could go to Durmstrang with his sister. His mother, being a Beauxbatons graduate, thought her school should be where her kids went, but Friedrich stood his ground and said all his children would be going to Durmstrang unless special circumstances. his parents feared exposure to magic would bring more harm, so they did not introduce magic to him nor his younger siblings, allowing them to find magic in their own time. While Louis adored the Swiss Alps, and spending lots of time with his horse, he enjoyed Germany even more. He would spend hours out in the woods, as his father, uncle or brother taught him how to hunt game, use a bow and arrow, and a lot more they thought a boy ought to learn. Luckily, he was a fast learner and it wasn't long until everyone was satisfied with the amount of knowledge he's picked up in a few years time. His favorite was to go horse riding with his two older siblings and Leisel to a little waterfall not far from their home, where they'd put up a tent and spend the afternoon playing. When his younger siblings were older, they all went, occasionally with some of his older brother and sister's friends. Louis gets on well with all his family, although he was more quiet. He loves his parents and looks up to his brother especially, cares for his younger siblings, and his horse, Augustus is his favorite thing in the world. As he got older, the boy would disappear for hours with his horse and a small satchel filled with a book of choice and savory snacks.

He is pale, and hasn't as many freckles as his sister, due to being confined in the house more. The boy had blue eyes, and a small nose that his mother adores. Louis also has perfectly and effortlessly styled hair that falls over his eyes. He's 29 kilograms in weight, and is a bit skinny for his age, although he was perfectly healthy.
Mental: Louis is quiet, preserved, and observant. He observes other people's actions and imitates them. He's intuitive, curious, with a passion to drink up every last ounce of knowledge in the world. Louis is also very protective of his siblings, especially Leisel, and isn't afraid of putting up a fight for justice. The boy feels he needs to get the world right, and every last bit of right seen to. Honesty, loyalty, curiosity, bravery and ambition are his keen traits. However, he is insecure most of the time, especially about his voice and is judging to everyone. The child is easily sidetracked, and while he tries to be brave, he's still only a child. He tries his best to understand the complex world of adults, and does his best to please them with his talents.

Louis was six, and in the Swiss Alps. His bruder had taken him to a river near their home, but the little boy had lost him. The child couldn't find his brother, and was crying in panic. He thought he spotted a figure lurking behind some trees and thought his bruder was playing tricks. Then the figure started getting closer, and Louis knew it wasn't his brother. He sensed danger, and ran. The boy saw his brother on the other side and shouted for his attention, but the figure caught him and the boy was struggling . Amongst all the struggle, they got closer and closer to the water, and the boy fell in. The water was quick, and his small frame couldn't bear that much pressure and he was swept along to flow, towards a part that was dangerous, with rocks and boulders lining the place. It also led to a steep drop into a waterfall. His brother was shouting from one side, the figure closing in on the other. The boy reached the end and dropped down. Somehow, he soared in the air and landed gently and safely on the grassy bank, regardless of physics.

 The twin to Louis, Leisel is nothing like her brother in personality. A social butterfly with endless energy, Leisel isn't afraid of anything. She has great chemistry with all her siblings, especially with Louis. Louis regards her as his favorite person in the world, alongside his mother and older sister. Leisel is loved by people in her community, and she stood up for Louis when he was bullied by the other children. Leisel doesn't need sign language to connect with her brother-- she has the ability, like twins do, to talk without speaking. In short, she's an extraordinary girl. |
