In general, we will be following the rules of the quidditch system, found here. Here are the exceptions:
- This is not an official game, so we don’t have locker rooms. How your team communicates is up to you, but via discord or owls is recommended.
- This is an unofficial game, so the word count per post is NOT reduced. You must write at least 200 words per reply.
- There will be 3 quaffles, not 5
- The golden snitch will be worth 50 points, not 120
- Backbeating a player does 10 x strength damage
- Bludgers do 25 x strength damage
- If a player is knocked off their broom and is not saved, they are not out of the game, they simply lose their turn for the following round (as they need to get back up on their broom).
- Health and damage:
Since we don’t have a second string, getting players’ health down doesn’t have too many mechanical consequences… So, how much health you have left will also affect your stats!

• 100% health: No effect
• 75% health: -1 to accuracy, evasion or stamina (determined by random roll) for the remainder of the game
• 50% health: -2 to the first affected stat and -1 to one of the two remaining stats (determined by random roll)
• 25% health: -2 to the first two affected stats and -1 to the remaining one
• 0% health: -2 to all three stats

I tried to split things evenly with abilities and stats, I’m hoping for a good balanced game! Feel free to come up with a team name and have your captain send it to me before the first mod post.

When will the game start OOC?

• The thread will be created on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10th.

When is the game IC?

• October 1, 2022

How much time will I have to post?

• You will have exactly 7 days from the time the mod post is made to both write your reply AND for captains to send in their actions

What if I forget to post?

• It happens sometimes! If you don’t post, your character’s move for that round won’t count. And if you miss 2 posts in a row, you will be removed from your team

What if I don’t have my own broom?

• No worries! You’ll just use a school broom, no worries

Where will the rolls be done?

• In the “bot-spam” channel on the h.io discord, and the results will be posted at the bottom of each mod post.

How did my character find out about this event?

• June posted a sign-up sheet in the Slytherin common room and found some nice (faceless NPC) students to post them in the common rooms of the other houses.

I’m a captain, what do I do?

• Your main role is to owl (not discord DM) me your team’s actions before the deadline each week. There a few other tasks for you to do before the first mod post, I will send these to you directly.

Wow, look at you all go! Just a little over 24 hours until the deadline and everyone has posted and actions have been sent!
