Hippogriff;

Hippogriffs are a rare Patronus that is half-eagle and half-horse. Hippogriffs are extremely dangerous and powerful, the type of creature that people tend to revere and hold in high respect. Those who have this Patronus are passionate and fierce, but they have a loving side to them as well.

Those with this unusual patronus are truly unique in character. Fiercely loyal to those who earn their trust, often willing to go the extra mile for those who they care for, the bearer of the Hippogriff is most Loyal to their friends above all others. Those with the Hippogriff patronus are often very proud and self assured; almost never forgiving insults easily. Occasionally this pride can drift into arrogance and cause friction with those around them, but the ultimate characteristic which makes them so rare to find is the presence of their large heart. Not many people have such a large loving heart as those with this patronus, something very special indeed.

Romeo would witness an adult version of himself; not in a totally well-off state (a bit grizzled in grooming, perhaps), but quite enthusiastically presenting a finely carved wand handmade by himself to a several young children that he subconsciously knows to be that of Muggleborn or Half-Blood heritage. He is about to give to them their first token of the magical world, setting them upon a journey that will be both amazing and a little scary at first, but will no doubt allow them to become what they were meant to be; wizards and witches of the highest degree.

Polyjuice Potion:

When the hair is added, it will dissolve completely on the surface of the liquid, disseminating the color and causing it to turn the same shade of reddish-titian that Romeo's hair is and bequeathing the slightest olfactory hint of vanilla.

Upon shaking, the liquid offers no complaint, smoothly swishing about and remaining just as it had been when the hair was first added; nearing the end of the mixing, it starts gaining small granules of a slightly more scarlet red coloration, almost like sugar not totally saturated in water.

By the time of imbibing, the potion smells like a strange mixture of sandalwood and sea salt, just potent enough to sting one's nose, but soft enough that it isn't overpowering. The liquid has settled on a 'healing potion red' coloration. It tastes like it smells; slightly salty and woody but with an aftertaste of sweetness (present in the slightly granular texture), going down as easily as and warming a person like brandy on a cold day.

Ω Faceclaim | Jan Francken Ω
Romeo Giovanni Marchonné, a former Gryffindor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is at first glance something to avoid at all costs. Towering over most of his contemporaries of his tender age of 14 at a staggering 6'2", and with a build that looks as if it could break stone with a touch; Romeo Giovanni Marchonné clocks in at an impressive 193 pounds of pure muscle that places him squarely above the 95th percentile.

Beneath the immediate terror of an ox's build and well-trimmed musculature, however, the behemoth of a (not) half-giant can confound new arrivals with a soft smile, joyful cerulean eyes, and a large hand extended in the polite gesture of a handshake (shake at your phalanges' own risk, however). His russet hair-- often mistaken for a dark rouge during dawn's early light or titian in direct exposure-- is neatly combed each morning despite the inevitability of it being blown around by winter storm and castle draft, and an olive complexion hearkens to his Motherland Italy. Due to his time further North, however, his formerly bronze complexion has mostly vanished, accounting for a slightly tinted ruddy olive tone giving away Mediterranean decent.

Other than being easily spotted due to a height which mistakes him for a student of a higher year, Romeo Marchonné can be picked out of a crowd by means of his enormous rucksack of a schoolbag. Obviously fond of keeping the shape that he is currently in, every day is a full-body workout for the reasonably out-of-place Italian. The heavy Durmstrang cloak of red and black wolf fur is always clasped at his left shoulder (even in summer due to his remedial issues with acclamation to the cold; he grew up right next to the equator, after all), ready to be throw off when physically demanding activities are to be expected. It does little to hide the frame of the boy, however, which had been part of the reason Romeo had elected to wear it so often in the first place.

Only a spare few features betray a completely pacifistic demeanor in the general bulk of bicep and trimmed shape; one-- a scar over his left eye that cuts through his brow now beginning to fade into obscurity-- two-- a ripped up and horribly mangled right external ear-- and three-- a jagged semicircle scarification on his right forearm, as if having suffered a severe lacerating bite by some feral creature. Evidently this gentle giant is fond of keeping the trophies of his less than savory confrontations.

Persona
Though many of his classmates over the years may have found themselves drifting further and further into their darker halves due to speculation and turbulent circumstance in these recent years, Romeo Marchonné's general demeanor and personality appears to have been a point of consistency up to now, as he has always treated school and personal life as two different entities, taking great care not letting the two mingle or fester over the common pitfall of anger or general desire for revenge or retribution. In fact, it may be possible enough to say that despite Durmstrang's "evil" influence, the easygoing Romeo has managed to keep a level head and excelled in remaining true to mostly altruistic intents, staying high and dry despite the tensions of his classmates and the general high-strung school atmosphere.

It is no secret that Romeo worked very hard in order to fit into this school directly following his transference; learning Russian in order to properly learn his subjects efficiently, trying to keep himself social by means of sports and school athletic programs, and-- most impressively-- overworking himself on the educational side in order to accelerate himself to the year in which he would stand alongside students of his own age as opposed to lagging a year behind as when he first came as an 11 year old.

Ever the team player, Romeo found himself in a few team sports during his 3 years at Durmstrang; Quidditch as a Keeper his first year, and an unfortunately notorious Blatching Broom Racer his next two, though due to a rough academic patch, he had to drop both pastimes in order to focus on being able to stay in his class. He is known for coming up with creative and outlandish plans of attack after assessing a situation on the fly, directing movement around him like a tactician commanding his forces. He makes weaknesses his strengths, recognizing that in the midst of "weakness" there is more than ample opportunity to confuse and thereby destroy the opposition. He has met his closest friends through teambuilding endeavors, though in pursuit of becoming a better academic, his relationships with several of them have fallen away into obscurity.

The reputation of this gentle giant is spoken without fear of retaliation, for on top of Romeo not being one to start a fight without intense, constant provocation, he knows that there isn't much to speak about concerning "juicy gossip" surrounding him other than his exotic origin and unusual height, both of which have been overplayed and is no skin off his back.

It is well known that Romeo's rooming on the Durmstrang spire is alongside the younger children that he had initially come to the school with, not among the students in his class. He has garnered a reputation as being a very "motherly" figure for them, like a parent away from home (think counting the kids and making sure they are all nestled down before going to bed himself, making sure they are feeding themselves and taking showers when needed, talking issues out and helping them study, etc.). However, that doesn't prevent him from being a relatively normal "rowdy" boy when he is with his contemporaries. He will jump at the opportunity for a friendly sparring session (magic or physical alike), though he does turn down duels, not wanting to show a side of himself that he deems "improper" and "unnecessary" to his education.

He is also rather good with a cook's utensils... Some say that his four-cheese sausage rigatoni with a side of cheesy breadsticks and a desert of Biscotti is to die for.

Early Life
2008 - 2019:
Reducio
The Gemelle Discovered (Infancy-3): June 6th, 2008, a Muggle couple were returning from a late-night celebration in a pub in Florence, Italy. Their names were Eleanor and Carlos Bianchi, a middle class couple who had been married for nearly five years, with no hope of having children of their own. Imagine, then, the surprise both of them shared when they found not one bundle on their front stoop, but two; a pair of boys held in each others' arms. They appeared the same age, the same appearance, twins no doubt of an unknown origin, and unknown past, and an unknown parentage.

Though surprised and greatly concerned with this evident abandonment, the Bianchis were elated to have children to call their own, and with all measures needed to take in abandoned children and proper adoption measures, the couple were able to keep the boys which they assumed to be twins, raising them as Muggles, which they assumed the boys to be. They named the boy with green eyes and a puckish demeanor Piérre, and the boy with the beautiful ice blue eyes and the handsome features, Romeo, after Shakespeare's heartbreaker.

From the very beginning, the boys were inseparable, and the moment they could crawl, they spent every moment in the other's presence. Though it was quickly discovered that they weren't exactly identical twins, they looked very near to it, and the Bianchis almost always considered the boys to be the same person, for if you called one, you would inevitably receive the other alongside the first. As time passed, the boys began to develop their own personalities, and Piérre grew to be the joker and practical mischief-maker, hoarder, and for all other intensive purposes, the gentle yet eccentric soul; Romeo was quiet, a silent intellectual, and always the studious half of the yin and yang pair.

Alas, at the ages of three and five, the Bianchis realized that there was more to the boys that what first met the eye, when the more eccentric of the duo, Piérre himself, began laughing so hard that not only did his head feel light and his sides began to split, but he physically began to float and bob about near the ceiling. With hiccups during his wild laughter, Piérre would momentarily 'blink' to another area of the room, in a crude form of what he would eventually learn to be Apperation. These bursts of energy were easily subdued, not contained or denied, by the Bianchis, who were more than surprised and in awe of this magic that they had been unfamiliar with until now. Thus, it came as a lesser surprise when Romeo too began to show bursts of momentary magic, through feats of sheer strength and constitution; whether in the form of enduring long falls, not sustaining any burns from accidentally touching the hot stove while Eleanor cooked, and in the most violent and destructive act, ripping the gas-burning stove from its restraints and then proceeding to throw it across the kitchen at Piérre, who began laughing and hiccupping like a hyena, resulting in his 'blinks'. The Bianchi family, smelling the gas from the stove, ushered the boys out as quickly as possible, but not before Piérre struck a spark, resulting in an explosion and the complete burning down of the first house of the Bianchi's.

Thus, the nomadic family began their ever-moving adventure on their way to secure and settle in a home that would be just right for their magical children.
Wanderers Without Rest (3-7): Though the family was mostly on the move, never staying in one location for more than a few months and sometimes, on an especially bad experience, weeks, at a time. Such were the cases of the Sicilian towns, and the first two cities of England that the family had attempted to stay in. All of those locations had resulted in extreme bullying of the gentler brother, Piérre, over his jovial nature and his peculiarly piqued ears like that of an elf. Though in every situation, Romeo came in, knocking assaulters down like an ox in direct protection of his twin and receiving black eyes/cuts/bruises for his troubles and never backing down until he had to be dragged off the inspirer of his ire. In every situation, the boys were expelled, forcing the family to move and take up education in another Muggle school. Naturally, this resulted in a the twins struggling to both learn about the Muggle world as normal children would, and also impeded their ability to socialize and make friends. The only consistent child companionship that the boys had... was found only in one another; and for Romeo, the only solace he had was his ability to ensure that nobody could lay a hand on his brother even if they tried.

When the family was not scrambling to find a place for the boys to school, the Bianchis were fond of natural and explorative ventures into the sights, sounds, and experiences of everyplace they went; from cliff-scaling, running through groves of olive trees, touring historical landmarks and religious sites, taking trips on Venice's canal gondolas, and much more. One of Romeo's greatest exploits in his youth was because of a mishap that had taken place when the family had been together at the Mediterranean beach. Piérre, intrepidly, had tried to swim out as far as he could. Only being five and a half at the time, the young boy could not fight against the undertow and powerful currents, and had been swiftly drug under. Hearing his brother's cries of fear and terror, Romeo took immediate action and fought the tide with all his strength, dragging Piérre to shore and revived him. Ever since that moment, Piérre has had crippling Aquaphobia, and Romeo rarely allowed his brother to leave his sightline when the two of them were near a large body of water.

The Bianchis kept most of their travels to the land after that point; horse-riding, hang-gliding, ziplining, and all sorts of other sports and activities. When the family didn't have much else to do, or if the boys were to tired to do anything, video games, found mostly in the ColecoVision, Atari, and Nintendo franchises. Thus, surrounded by active exploration and a healthy dose of video games, the twins grew up with hands-on experiences, even if their scholarly studies were rather lacking.

It was not long after their sixth birthdays that the twins grew wise to the fact that they were not related to the Bianchis. With a gentle agreement, the Bianchis revealed the night that they had found the twins. Taking the news in stride, perhaps with a little shock and with a nagging question of 'why?' in his mind, Piérre suggested to Romeo a variety of last names that they could take for themselves when they came of age. After quite a bit of a debate, the boys (though admittedly mostly driven by Piérre himself) decided upon Marchonné, a name deriving from an Italian title-- Marchon.

Now with a new name for the twin brothers, the family continued their travels, the family eventually found their way to London, England, upon hearing hearsay of a magical essence being common in the area. In the Bianchis' minds, a magical hotbed would suit their magical children, and perhaps they would learn of the reason for the twins' special talents.

Unfortunately, as cruel fate would have it, it was not to be. On August 21st, 2015, tragedy struck the Bianchi family. Eleanor and Carlos were fond of motorcycling wherever they went, keeping the boys at home for alone marital bonding. On one of their dates in London, upon cycling back to their apartment where they had made a steady abode, a hotshot driver not paying attention to the flow of traffic or keeping an eye out for such a small vehicle as a Harley, engaged in a right turn, the equivalent of a left turn in America, striking the defenseless Harley and its two riders, instantly killing them. The twins, safe and sound, holed up in the apartment, were only seven, and eight blocks from the site. Nonetheless, both of them felt a chill down their spines, the very second that the motorcycle had been hit.
Mathilda Wendigo (7-11): Of course, in the Muggle way of investigation and informing, Piérre and Romeo were discovered, rebranded as orphans (as both Eleanor and Carlos had been single children with no living close relatives), and sent off to a Muggle foster home. Romeo, being the more mature of the two, had been run down as to his situation, meanwhile Piérre was in hysterics, not understanding why his adoptive parents hadn't returned home had thought that he was being kidnapped by authorities over his mischief-making. Of course, having the two twins lost in the Muggle foster system was something that the Ministry had been made known of, having been informed by the Ministero della Magia Italiano that there had been magic running about in Italy, and Sicily before it had drifted towards England. Therefore, in an action to prevent the boys from being shipped off to another Muggle family, an Auror by the name of Mathilda Wendigo nominated herself to take guardianship of the twins until they were of age to be independent. Retiring from her job, Mathilda took the two twins under her wings, hardly a week after the boys had been placed in the foster house's custody.

With Mathilda being their new guardian, the boys were swiftly introduced to the brand new world of magic that they discovered they belonged to. While Mathilda was aged, strict, and had never been a mother before, she was more than willing to teach the boys all that she knew in the five years before they would attend Hogwarts. Being a Ravenclaw alumni herself and a former Auror, her knowledge was extensive and easily and greatly improved the boys' acclimation to the sudden world that was thrust upon them. Romeo took this all surprisingly well, though he did have more than quite a few questions about magic and its working in the natural world.

From then on, it would only be a matter of time until the boys each received their respective letters to Hogwarts.

On June 6th, 2019, their eleventh birthdays, Romeo and Piérre each received an owl carrying a letter with the Hogwarts seal. Mathilda, of course, had informed the boys of the letters and what they would mean if the twins received them, and so both Piérre and Romeo excitedly showed the letters to Mathilda, who immediately made preparations for Diagon Alley so that the boys could collect their school supplies and the wands that would be responsible for harnessing their first bit of controllable magic.

Romeo stood alongside his brother all through the process of attending Hogwarts and into being sorted into a house of his own, always nearby, always watching and ensuring that nobody tried to do anything funny while he was around his brother. After a thorough debate, one that lasted for a few minutes, Romeo was reluctantly sorted into Gryffindor so that he could follow after Piérre. It had either been between the house of scarlet and gold or that house of yellow and black... perhaps it was because of Romeo's willpower that the hat finally gave concession and let the defensively aggressive brother have the ability to stand with his twin so that he could defend Piérre just as Romeo always had. Romeo was happiest here, right? This was the school for him, wasn't it?

Yet, even as the first few days began, Romeo was not quite grasping magic the way that he was hoping to. He had never been able to fully temper the earliest strains of magic that he had quite easily called upon in physical defense of his brother. His wizardly implement seemed to disagree with him more often than not...

He had heard of a magical and martial school. He didn't know much about it, but he had been speaking with Mathilda about it even before he had been in attendance at Hogwarts. It was, of course, the military school of Durmstrang. Perhaps it would be there that his talents of physical attribute would be better realized. Maybe there the right magic could be evoked from him.. magic that was refusing to come to him in the environment of Hogwarts.

It had been sudden, it had been little over a week since he had been sorted... but he had to go; and he hadn't had time to tell Piérre of his plans.

Romeo left his brother in the middle of the night without warning; having originally planned to make his exit quiet and unassuming... but his younger brother was sharp as a knife and had noticed his departure. Heartbroken, Romeo had to leave the one thing that he sought to protect the most. He could never forgive himself, even now as he looks back, he could never forget the one true betrayal that he had done to his own brother, his own kin. He hoped, he prayed, that Piérre would be strong enough to protect himself if he left his sibling to grow on his own. Perhaps he too could grow. Perhaps Piérre could become stronger than him. That was all that he could hope for in the end, wasn't it.

After transferring, Romeo struggled to make new friends despite his few and far between contacts with Piérre (especially after the news released the incarceration of the legendary Harry Potter); as he came among the Durmstrang first years as being a year older than they were. It was odd, certainly, to see an eleven year old among the ten year olds, but Romeo had passed his survival course with flying colors due to his experiences of travel and gritty resourcefulness garnered from constant camping and wilds-traversing. Despite his handicap of learning a new language, he was learning quickly and excelling in the studies almost immediately after his joining of the school. So excellent were his studies (and in an attempt to quash the guilt he felt for leaving Piérre), he joined the Quidditc team under the hand of Hanzo Fransson and a young albino named Valentin Schnell; Chaser and Seeker respectively. The team had been looking for a Keeper. Romeo, strong, stalwart, and rather good with his manual dexterity, willingly took up the role; a bit grateful that he didn't have to be a Beater for fear that he would end up hurting someone too much if he made too good of a shot.

At the end of that year and during the summer, Durmstrang had done well enough in their matchups that they had the ability to play in the Quidditch finals. As a Keeper, Romeo found himself up against a collection of much older students than himself and the rest of his team. Rather embarrassingly, Durmstrang (up to that point an unbeatable team for years) lost to Hogwarts' team Hufflepuff. It would come out afterwards that the team had in their ranks a collection of half-races and half-breeds... but Romeo could have cared less. It was all supposed to be for good sport, right? Surely the type of blood that ran through your veins were of no consequence if everyone was magical all the same.

After all, Romeo had never known his own origins beyond the fact that he had been abandoned at birth. He was not one that should be able to judge others based on the purity of their blood. Even if he could... it was not right. They all deserved their respect. If anything, they were to be defended if they were indeed targets of an evil political agenda.

Second Year
2020 -2021:
Reducio
Romeo's second year was peacefully calm and mostly defined by his need to catch up in his academic pursuits so that he could continue to play in sports and potentially leap up the gap year into the class that he was supposed to be in with his fellow (3rd year) Durmstrang students. He was certainly the motherly figure to the kids that were younger than him, and it was in this year that he began to refine his culinary skills so that he could start feeding himself between Durmstrang's meals. He felt that he wasn't ever able to consume enough calories, so he started to keep non-perishable things in his dormitory room so that he could snack on them whenever the moment called for it.

Of course, he did share with those other younger kids that were hungry, but the consequences of his eating habits quickly started to make themselves clear as the Italian began to enter growth spurt after growth spurt. Very quickly he was already breaching that five and a half mark for kids that were usually only supposed to be just barely that height or a little shorter on average. In the fall, Durmstrang students had been invited for a broom race hosted at Hogwarts, and event that Romeo threw his hat into the ring for just for kicks and grins... and just so happened to enjoy superficially at first. You know, he had never tried broom racing before, just like he had never previously tried out Quidditch. Maybe his bulky form would have been better suited for attempting to bludgeon his way through obstacles as opposed to trying to blatch people off their brooms or attempt to block Quaffles from being scored on their side.

He would end up dropping out of Quidditch in favor of trying out Broom Racing, and he did make the team.

During the course of the year, Romeo started to cling more and more to Hanzo; the one friend that he had developed a very close connection to. He considered Hanzo to almost be another Piérre insofar as his willingness to protect and stand alongside him. Even as he met Piérre again at the Fall Ball Masquerade, he was a little distant from his twin in favor of staying with Hanzo and partaking in an odd Hunt that involved touring a bit of the school that he had only gotten to know for a few days before he had departed. Hanzo had seemed a bit nervous, distant as well, but Romeo had no way of picking up that he was exhausting the individual that he wanted to develop a closer connection to.

On return to Durmstrang, Romeo continued his studies, attempting to correct as much of his cracked Russian as he could; he was figuring out the vocabulary... but he was still struggling with advanced words and trying to use the correct grammar in the passive form. Considering he had only entered the advent of his first year of studying the language, Romeo was doing well in his own mind. He was picking it up out of necessity. We all know the saying about Invention and its mother.

That summer, Romeo would broom race after being housed in the Phoenix Cabin with a very strange Ravenclaw upperclassman that seemed to hate his guts for no reason, but would be unable to find victory as he was put up against a collection of older students again. He would meet an interesting upperclassman; Xailah Alptraum, that he had blatched off her broom at the start of the race. Romeo found her charming, oddly enough, a collection of muggle bits and pieces, and yet carrying with her a strangely unsettling catlike nature that he couldn't quite put his finger on. The rest of the race, the kid found himself blatching and falling far behind the rest of the crowd. Ah, always left in the dust was he, wasn't it?

Something that he didn't notice as well, was the fact that his concerns over Piérre had almost been put completely out of his mind. He rarely thought or worried about how his brother was doing in school anymore. Was this good or bad, he wondered?

Would it have any unforeseen consequences?

In his third year, Romeo was not a part of any sports. He had had to work too hard to keep up with his studies as well as attempt to prove that he was capable of leaping up the year to be with his counterparts. In the end, all of his academic pursuits were successful; it was a happy day for Romeo when he finally had the go-ahead from the student faculty to begin attendance with the rest of the students that he should have been schooled with had he begun schooling at Durmstrang at the age of eleven. It was there that he began to run back into familiar faces the likes of Yefim Rumyantsev, Greta Fransson and her brother Hanzo (which Romeo had began falling away from because of distancing from the both of them resulting in apathy), and Valentin Schnell the illustrious Niffler of legend and star Seeker of Durmstrang.

Exhausted from his studious attempts and yet unwilling to move up the tower to be in housing among his classmates (perhaps a mixture of feeling unworthy to invade their pre-existing friend groups once more and his previous attachments to the younger students housed on the lower levels of the tower), Romeo did not really join in on many events in that fall and winter, and (as previously touched upon) was not a part of any of the sports offered to him at Durmstrang.

It would not be until a Midspring Festival was held at Hogwarts and an announcement that the return of a Triwizard-like event for six of the greatest magical schools known that Romeo finally found himself in a position to return to school and to cheerfully speak to his brother Piérre once again. It had been too long, Romeo knew, since he kept in good contact with his brother; even during Christmas he and Piérre had not been entirely eye to eye (Romeo had rather found himself buried in his books even during the holiday seasons). Perhaps he would be able to catch up and speak to Piérre as brother to brother; twin to twin. He missed his brother, after all. Surely Piérre felt the same way.

As he would bitterly discover... this was not to be; and instead of cheerfulness that was shared between them, it was apathy that resulted in violence on behalf of Romeo and Piérre alike. Romeo, once again breaking his promises to protect his brother no matter what, found himself having lost control and had choked his brother to unconsciousness despite his struggles and pleads, his venomous words and poisonous emotional assaults. It was at this festival that Piérre's cat Figaro took a chunk out of Romeo's ear, adding another scar to the Italian's previously existing Muggle-treated ones. When Piérre came to in the hospital, nothing better came of it even with the attempted assistance of healer intern Xailah Alptram trying to serve as mediator between the twins. Piérre this time lashed out at Romeo, striking him with a powerful Flipendo that damaged the core of Romeo's identical twin wand...

After everything he had done to try to bond with that implement, suddenly all of that had vanished the moment that the brother of it had been forced to attack its own. From that moment on, Romeo's wand would never quite function for him as well as it once had... the sadness that it felt from the attack of its own brother causing its magic to wilt.

Following the catastrophe of his fallout with his own brother, Romeo began to revert to his old violent ways. After trying so hard to replace blows with words in an attempt to remain peaceful, calm, and rational, boiling rage consumed his every fiber whenever he so much thought about his brother; one that he had loved so much, so deeply that he would have been willing to die without a second through for him. It was in the depths of this hopeless anger and violence that Valentin Schnell entered Romeo's world again like a pale fragment of light. It began with one day in the training room of Durmstrang when Romeo had once again punched his knuckles into a bloody pulp, almost breaking bone and ruining his hands beyond repair. Hand wraps became a staple of his by this point, always ready to throw a fist if someone so much as looked at him the wrong way. He rarely smiled anymore, and a snarl almost always disgraced his face and brows.

Valentin and he fought that day; truly fought. There was not inhibition. It was pure, beautiful violence; poetry in motion. They purged and they broke themselves and one another. Yet, Romeo could not bring himself to kill this small flickering white star that had tried to help him, no matter how much Valentin begged for Romeo to reach his violent conclusion. He could not hurt someone else that he saw so much as Piérre; someone that he had almost hurt as badly as Piérre. In this, he could not pursue further harm of the Hell-chaser. It was on that day that Valentin brought Romeo back into the fold of the Quidditch team. Not too long after, Romeo would be added to the reserves of Durmstrang's Hexwizard team; led by Yefim Rumyantev and his special person a strange Hogwarts Slytherin named Erin Ryan.

But Romeo's story with Valentin would not end there; they were not to be two atoms briefly passing as Romeo and Hanzo had been. No. On the fateful day of April 29th, Valentin Schnell nearly died after a broom crash at the edge of Durmstrang's great lake. Romeo had revived him, tried to heal him with the help of Charles Alluring. He could not let this person that had given him some peace after months of uncertainty and rage slip away from him so soon. Just like his brother; he could not let Valentin die. Flying back to the castle, Romeo and Valentin were both struck by a freak bolt of lightning that almost killed Valentin again and left Romeo permanently scarred with a lichtenberg figure that went from the webbing of his right hand between his index and middle fingers, up his right shoulder, and down his back. It also left him with a persistent ringing in his ears that made him more prone to migraines; tinnitus at work.

Romeo struggled to deal with his headaches and swirling thoughts from then on; but he and Valentin continued to forge a special bond between them as Beater and Seeker, Co-Captain and Captain. They would go on to formulate Camp Schnell-Marchonné after Valentin learned that Romeo did not have a place to stay for the summer due to his want to let his brother have some alone-time without his potentially threatening presence in the house. Romeo would work together with Valentin to whip the Durmstrang team into fighting shape, bonding with his Captain yet not being able to fully trust himself with being personal with his (hopefully) new friend. Hanzo had left a bitter taste in the Italian's mouth, and his confrontation with Piérre with scars on his heart. Perhaps a long-term friendship was not ever to be with Valentin, and it was in this frame of mind that Romeo absentmindedly erected a wall of his own design between him and the kind albino. This would be the first of many spikes in the relationship between his and his captain, a tear that would be felt even as they got to know one another better and as Romeo confessed that he so desperately wanted to know his true lineage.

Valentin seemed supportive... but Romeo couldn't sense the pain that would come with that small request. He would spend the rest of the summer at the Hogwarts summer camp bonding with the Horntail Horde; the name that had been decided upon to represent the Durmstrang Hexwizard Team. With Valentin, he and the Yilbegän team (a hybridization of Durmstrang and their sisterling school Koldovstorez) would break Durmstrang's two year losing streak by affirming victory over Hogwarts' team Ravenclaw and begin a new reign of victory over their contemporaries. Romeo would also show off his physical prowess by landing himself first place in a put together Triathlon as well as an air of menace as he helped to exact revenge on Edward Smith for daring to threaten Greta, the sweetest of the Horde that all the other boys had sworn to defend with life and limb before she suffered injustice.
Heck! He had even had a detention for performing what had been called a Quidditch foul at his game; his attempt to save a Ravenclaw girl from hitting the ground and suffering grievous injury by taking hold of her blue cloak had been misconstrued and observed as a cruel attempt to chokehold her as she fell. Yet in the end all of this was simply his way of trying to branch out, to put his mind off of the series of events and trials that he knew was going to be before him. His relationships all unstable, perhaps the gentle giant of over six foot would be left all alone.

Or perhaps it was simply a chapter that would change and instead become something more brilliant due to his experiences of triumphs and tribulations. Only time would tell...

But he would find someone, the ones, that he was related to. He would find his true family.

Biological or found was yet to be seen.

Abilities
Wolf Form & Heightened Senses ~ The wolf need only find your scent once.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Werewolves have a keen sense of smell, not powerful enough to serve as a bloodhound but strong enough to recognize that someone might be hidden in a room.
  • Access to Bite & Rend in wolf form
Bite: Does 50 + (strength x 10) in damage and cannot be healed the duration of the moderated event. If the target is at least partially human, it can transmit Lycanthropy.

Rend: This does 50 + (strength x 10) in damage and effects a second target for the same damage automatically if there is more than one target in range. If the target is at least partially human, it can transmit Lycanthropy.
  • Recognition of individuals/fakes of individuals that have 20+ posts with Romeo.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Obnoxiously Strong ~ My body is a temple that I must maintain.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
He has either lifted weights or possesses favorable genetics because he is incredibly powerful.
  • 15% Strength
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Savage Form & Tracking ~ Never more than a wolf at your door for dinner...
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
The wolf-like nature that courses through his veins starts to take hold during daytime hours. While unnoticeable to others, he gains lupine characteristics: keen eyesight and sense of smell.
  • In werewolf form, attacks do 10% additional damage.
  • 1ce/month, can track a user to a private thread by a scent left within 24 hours in an area.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
The Martial Artist ~ Tough and tumble, it's time to rumble.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
While wizards are commonly refining their magical skill, muggles are often refining their bodies. They are not able to depend on their wands to reach that out of reach book, to repair a broken article or to lift a heavy object. This also means that they cannot depend on their magic for self-defense.
Access to Four Actions
  • Punch: This is a basic attack that is done at +2 accuracy.
    Deals [100*(strength)*0.9]/5 damage.
  • Kick: This is a basic attack that is done at -2 accuracy.
    Deals [100*(strength)*1.1]/5 damage.
  • Grapple: This is an accuracy roll to see if it will hit and then a contested strength check at the start of each round between the grappler and the target to maintain.
While pinned, neither you nor your opponent can move.
  • Choke Hold: This is an accuracy roll done followed by a strength check. The difference in your strength is the opponent's chance of escape & is done at the start of each round.
Two failed escape attempts render the opponent unconscious.
While in this hold you will also not be able to move.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Wolf's Cry & Grace ~ A million voices, silent screams...
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
As a human, his predatory abilities start to bloom. His ability to stalk others grows and he have the ability to enter threads hidden from other people.
  • Can summon other werewolves to your topic in 3 rounds in wolf form.
  • 25% Chance to enter a thread hidden from other users.
  • +2 to Stealth Checks.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
The Muggle Condition ~ Eye on target, that's where the strike'll land.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
He is a child of two worlds. What he may lack in the magical world, he makes up with experience in the muggle world. Even the strongest of wizards may be caught off guard with his clever use of muggle items. Doesn't have those? His fists work in a pinch.
  • +3 to Accuracy on Non-Magical Attacks/Actions
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Intimidation ~ Out of my head, of my heart and my mind; run, but you can’t hide.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
He has developed some slightly lupine features. Increased body hair that is thicker and coarser than normal, eyes that seem distinctly wolf-like and predatory. These features are not readily noticeable to the casual observer, yet this feral nature lies just beneath a placid, normal-seeming surface.
  • Passive Intimidation, all suffer -1 Accuracy & +1 Critical Failure unless Fearless
