He was on his way to the Rehearsal Room, violin case strapped to his back, belly still full from dinner an hour earlier. Content from his plate of pot roast and potatoes, the small boy hummed a cheery tune as he walked down the hallway, a finger directing an imaginary orchestra in the air as the tune went on. Since it was basically summer, the general tune of Vivaldi's "Summer" were the notes that hung around him as he walked -- rapid 16th notes hardly discernable as his absent-minded humming seemed to blend the notes together.

But wait, what was all this hubbub in the Great Hall? He stopped as he heard the chattering of students, and smelled the sweet scent of cake wafting in the air. Avery inched closer to the entrance, and was greeted by radiant, rainbow colors on each of the house tables. Oooh, what was going on in here? The rainbow colors and the general cheer of the students drew him closer.

To be honest, Avery wasn't always aware of what went on around him -- Hogwarts seemed to have events aplenty, and his schedule was already quite packed due to quidditch and violin practice. As the year wore on, his participation in errands seemed to decline. And now, here they were, in the weeks right before exam rush. Evelynn's advice rang in his ears now: He had to prioritize his time, if his schedule was so packed already. The small boy stopped in his tracks. Sure, it was time for violin practice, but...

The colorful crafts drew him in. There was something alluring about spending the night eating cake and therapeutically folding paper flowers. Plus, it was Pride month, after all -- he could allow himself a bit of slack for a good cause, right? Right??

With a satisfied grin and a shrug of his shoulders, Avery stepped over to the Hufflepuff table, grabbing an instruction sheet for paper flowers. He gathered an armful of rainbow papers and other necessary supplies, including a cup full of gold glitter. The allure of the snack table was too much to bear. He set aside his crafts, and piled a few cupcakes, chips, and cookies onto his plate. It was now a balancing act to get all this onto the crafting table, but our boy was an acrobat. He peered tentatively over his stack of things, glancing around the room for anyone he recognized.

"Oy, Kim!" he called out, seeing his Gryffindor potions partner a few chairs away. "I got rainbow snacks, you want some?" he hollered over some heads, and went upon his merry way. Little did he know, that precarious stack of things was slowly beginning to slip and unravel within his grasp.

The glitter went first. The cup tipped itself upon the blond hair of a girl sitting nearby, dumping its golden, shiny contents in a shower of dust upon her already-golden hair. The papers slipped next, splashing to the ground in a rainbow plume. Luckily, the food was the only thing that remained carefully balanced on his palm forearm -- perhaps it was what Avery deemed most worth saving.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" he sputtered, flabbergasted. He set down the plate onto an empty spot on the table, and reached out to pat her shoulders of the golden dust without thinking. "I'm so sorry, did you get any of that in your nose? Do you need a tissue? Tell me what you need!" How embarrassing. Were athletes usually this clumsy? Avery Chen seemed like an exception.

What a year, what a year. It was already that time yet again and thankfully Quinn still had a lovely little Dhamphir that understood him for him. Of course that didn't mean he didn't have his moments where he was questioning or...'inspecting' certain individuals. Discreetly and respectfully of course! He wasn't a creep just a young teen in the throws of a loving relationship and his confusing feelings for others. He never acted on them of course, but well...he also didn't exactly look away when his heart found something that struck it. Nico and a few others were the exception, Nico would always have his heart now and forever, but for Quinn he found he was more inclined towards others like a certain rough and tumble Hufflepuff, or the more prim and proper chiseled type.

But that was neither here nor there, Quinn could think about his confusing woes another day. He had shaved the day before and had to hear it from an annoyed house elf while he helped clean up the mess he made. Luckily, that was the end of that tale. Without the beard and despite his very defined and somewhat disproportioned facial features, he was fairly baby faced. At least enough to be able to tell that he was most likely just a very tall, if strange, teenager. "Tall" being a crazy understatement since he was fast approaching and almost breaching the 11 foot mark.

Today he had chosen to wear one of his wacky outfits. Wearing pink, bright, pink pants, a bright blue shirt, with a yellow heart in the middle and pink arrow going through it. Along with yellow suspenders and pink aviators. He had grown out his hair again wearing it down, and his usual black and yellow high tops that were the colors of his house. In his massive hands was a box that carried a lot of somethings in it. Light clinking could be heard. He had helped some of the tables bring their heavier materials in since he was basically built and could lift like a fork lift. Perks of being a Part-Giant one could guess.

Entering the room and ignoring the stares he got, his greenish-blue eyes fell upon a familiar site and he took a direct path towards his best friend. Careful of his voice he grinned like a small child.
"Rosie! You ready for today?" He cheerfully spoke in a fantastically boisterous, and almost flamboyant tone that was a little off-putting save the fact he could make his deep baritone more of a tenor if he really tried. Surprisingly his voice wasn't ear shattering or obnoxiously loud just enough to be noticed.

He set the box down gently which could now be seen to contain a large assortment of makeup and...nail polish? A lot of nail polish of varying colors. Where he got all this was a mystery. But apparently Quinn had plenty of hookups and money? Well...he had a right to his secrets. A teen's gotta have something that makes him unique right? "Hope you don't mind but I brought some things...sorry I dipped for a little bit. Had to get changed after all but I'm glad I could get some of the heavier things set out for you to help with the decorations. Think this stuff will be enough?" He kneeled down, swatting away the voice of Harlin who was being even more flamboyant and extra this day.

He groaned as Harlin made a few extra Sassy remarks he wouldn't dare even repeat let alone think about again. Sighing he put up his smile, pushing him back best he could. The others were a little too silent as of late but he'd enjoy what he could. "I'll help you greet the other Hufflepuff's or people that come by, and maybe we can make a centerpiece for our table?" He didn't seem to notice the other individuals there yet. "And I was hoping you could uh...help me paint my nails? I don't usually get so blatant with the colors but my sisters...said I should try and be a little well...extra today?"

He furrowed his brow, and huffed a sigh. "I swear those two drive me crazy." He lamented, before looking to Rosie with his signature large smile. Making the sea of freckles on his face look even more crowded. "So! What's going on with you?"

Her head perked up when Faye nonchalantly said Regina always impressed her.

"I do? I mean, of course I do. I am a quite remarkable person, after all. You have a good judgement, you do."

It was a close save there, one that would have been utterly embarrassing to admit. Regina tried not to appear self-conscious about the way Faye stared into her boysenberry eyes, and kept her expression neutral as she let out a light huff at her friend Kim and the Ravenclaw's remark about her distaste for sweets and whatever scheme they aimed to plan against her.

"Spare me. I am not looking forward to have my teeth rot out from consuming an unhealthy amounts of sweets," A subtle eye roll. "It is not entirely because of their taste. I simply do not enjoy them."

Regina's tone was curt and final. She had a feeling it was more appropriate to keep it vague rather than truly going into detail about how it reminded her too much of an unhappy childhood where treats and pastries alike were used to 'condition' her behaviour. Just like her siblings before her, Regina was trained to curb childish wants at a young age - never reaching out voluntarily, only accept what was offered and at a small amount - in favour of a poise and elegant demeanor. As such, the Heiress had come to associate candies and sweets with negativity, in relation to being controlled.

But her friends need not to know the secrets of her past.

"Besides," She added, afraid her brooding was slowly becoming exposed to Faye and Kim. "I try not to keep sweets around Athena. Some are incredibly harmful to owls like her."

The raven-haired Lion offered no more explanation as she went back to her crafting. Her attention was momentarily distracted when a booming voice resonated throughout the Great Hall with the entrance of the Groundskeeper along with the Charms Professor on his arm. Regina had a rather neutral emotional response to this, because she had no interest in the banter of adults. She was much more interested in Faye's presence next to her, and as she finished her impeccable centerpiece, Regina turned towards the other girl to gauge her reaction (and no, it wasn't because she wanted to fish for compliments from her crush).

"I am finished with mine as well," She answered Kim. "How is yours, Faye?"

The Hufflepuff table had gotten quite full. Even Nia Greenwood had plopped herself down at the table (quite a ways away from June, thank Merlin), and elbow room and supplies were now a bit harder to come by. June had gotten into a rhythm of flower folding, she'd become quite good at it. Cut, fold, glue, turn, cut, fold, glue, turn. It was quite therapeutic. June looked around at the many, many centerpieces she had made. She sighed, I'm sure this will be enough even if no one else makes any. She turned to leave, content that she could say that she went to an event, when something fell on June's head. A flurry of gold glitter showered down from June's head, covering her face, hair and shoulders. She heard something else fall behind her, and turned to see a pile of papers leaping and scattering everywhere. A couple of sheets caught wind and flew into June's lap, catching the mountains of glitter falling from her head.

June blinked, stunned. What.. What had just happened? As she blinked, she could see glitter in her eyelashes.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" Someone started patting off June's shoulders of glitter. It took a few moments for June to process what exactly had happened, but when she did, she bolted up out of her seat, plumes of glitter going out from her robes. She tilted her head downward and shook, trying to get as much glitter out of her hair as possible.

She stood upright again after a moment, looking at the glitter culprit. A Slytherin first-year boy stood next to her, an instrument case on his back. She thought he looked familiar... He played with Maggie on the Slytherin quidditch team, didn't he? He did look quite sorry, but still... "Blimey, watch where you go with that stuff, would you?" It was going to take her hours to rid herself of this glitter. And it would probably never fully wash out of her robe, or if it did, it would just transfer to other things in her room. June would simply have a glitter-filled rest of her first year.

She sniffed. "A tissue would be great if you have one, actually." June felt something on her tongue as she spoke. "I think some got in my mouth, too. Nasty. Were you really trying to carry all of that at once?"

June signed, shaking as much glitter off of her robes as she could. This boy played with Maggie on the Slytherin quidditch team, didn't he? "It's fine, accidents happen. But by the looks of it, an accident seemed inevitable here." She leaned down, picking up the papers that had spilled all over the floor. "Here, let me help you with this. Merlin, these things really spread out over the floor."

"June means the pride month, and we can help to organize celebrations in Hogwarts!" Rita thought delightfully when she saw the poster in the Great Hall. Despite being a straight girl, she is always willing to know about the LGBTQA+ community and try to support them. In other words, she is an straight ally. She has met non-binary alumni in her former muggle school with the pronoun "they, them" and a rainbow tattoo, and heard them talking about being discriminated against and even suffering from depression, so she knew the situation they are in. Now that pride month comes, she will definitely play a part to support the rainbow group in Hogwarts!
She decided to work with her dorm mates and friends to make posters about different members of the rainbow community to raise awareness of them as well as make some banners and rainbow flags. She would also bring some snacks such as cookies and cakes for the students to enjoy during the pride month party. Besides, she decided to wear her rainbow T-shirt inside her work robe on the day of the party. She had written "support for the rainbow community!" in capital letters on the back of the T-shirt. Her dorm mates were also inspired by what she was doing as they also help to decorate the banner and the flags. "I can`t wait for the pride month celebration!" Said Rita. "So do us!" Said her dorm mates while they were decorating the celebration items. Working together, they quickly finished all the preparation materials, folded them carefully in a bag, and waited anxiously for the big day.
On the day of the event, after a quick dinner, Rita arrived at the Great Hall with her friends, wearing her rainbow T-shirt and carrying a bag of posters, banners, and other decorations for the pride month celebration. One of her roommates dyed her hair in rainbow colors and others stuck rainbow hair bands on their ponytails. The Great Hall was filled with people wearing quirky clothes, dying their hair in different colors, and having rainbow tattoos. The atmosphere was completely different from the serious atmosphere of students wearing dull work robes that are normally seen on campus. Students and staff in Hogwarts are not just serious-looking wizards, but with lively souls. Rita and her friends quickly put their posters and snacks on the tables and with the help of the seniors, hung the banner and the colorful flags on the walls.
At about 6 o`clock, after everyone had finished their final preparations, the host came and gave a short opening speech, "Good night everyone! Look at those anxious little faces! As we show, June is called the pride month, a month for both the LQATA+ community and their supporters, a month to celebrate and raise awareness, and a month against discrimination. I know everyone has put a lot of effort into their preparation for this special event and it`s time to shine! Welcome to the pride month celebration event here at Hogwarts!" As soon as the host finished his speech, everyone began looking into the four tables decorated by students in the four houses, admiring and purchasing the posters, crafts, and other fantastic items relating to the rainbow and the pride month, and tasting the awesome snacks. "Wow, this rainbow handcraft looks fabulous! Did you make it by yourself? Can I touch it?" "Oh my gosh, your homemade cookies taste so good! Come over, girls, you should all taste this!" The Great Hall was surrounded by laughter and cheer. The students just forgot their stress from school work and exams, everyone was just having fun. After all, who would think about exams in such a paradise? There were even some talented wizards showing their beautiful voices and brilliant dances, which lit up the atmosphere. When the host announced it was time to end the event, everyone was unwilling to go and wished to stay here longer.
When Rita and her friends unwillingly moved slowly to the dorm, they whispered, "I wish I could stay there longer! I haven`t had enough fun yet!" "Come on, we can celebrate the pride month again next year!" "Oh, that`s good. I can`t wait for the next year`s event!"
When Rita lay on the bed that evening and was too excited to fall asleep, she thought, "Even though the celebration event ended, we should continue to raise awareness for the rainbow community. I think Hogwarts is already playing a part in concerning them by having a gender-neutral dormitory. I hope that one day, there will be no discrimination against not only gender but also race, class, wealth, and anything that can be a factor of bias and discrimination. After all, we might be different from the outside, but from the inside, we are all the same."

Regina and Faye's reactions were priceless.

It was swiftly becoming obvious that the two were enamored with eachother on both sides.

Although, whether or not they were actually together remained up in the air. It was possible they were and were simply hiding it from others. But at the same time, they might not be. Kim wasn't sure if they were a couple behind the scenes or not, but one thing he was sure of was that both of them were attracted to eachother. He was glad for Regina, she deserved some happiness, although wasn't sure how that was going to fly for their pureblood families.

Kim didn't say much regarding the two of them because well they only had eyes for eachother. Even if he did say something, they probably wouldn't hear him. Still, responding to Regina's earlier words was something he wanted to do. Even if she wasn't paying attention to him now. Just because it had to do with sweets. I mean come on, anything having to do with sweets and desserts, that got his blood pumping. It was kind of like his own kryptonite.

Chocolate. Sweets. Candy. Desserts. Food in general.

"Whoever said anything about an unhealthy amount of sweets?! Not me!"

"There are varying amounts you can have. It can go from an extremely tiny amount to what you said, an unhealthy amount. Since you don't like sweets, I'd suggest the tiny end of the spectrum. There are so many different choices out there, there's bound to be one that you will like. Don't worry, I'll find them all for you and will deliver the smallest amount possible for you to try sometime."

Kim reassured Regina, not about to take no for an answer. He was obsessed when it came to sweets, one of the reasons why he'd been known as the Prince of Sweets back in the past. Ironically, even Colin had come up with the nickname for him here too. Sweets could be freedom too. Even negative things could be turned into positive things later on if given the right situation, timing and way it was portrayed. The blond wondered about Regina's reason.

She'd said it wasn't because of the taste.

Or rather, it wasn't just about the taste. That implied there was something else there.

Kim idly wondered if it could be related to a traumatic incident that had happened, such as what had happened to Mia when he'd met her in the common room soon after the welcoming feast. She'd had a trauma related to chocolate in particular because of a family related incident that had taken place. Mia's brother had caused an explosion at a wedding and had covered everyone and everything in scalding hot chocolate. She'd liked chocolate before that.

But ever since that incident, she had come to dislike it. Therefore, Kim wondered if Regina had gone through a similar experience. But only when it came to sweets. Then again, maybe it wasn't just sweets in general, perhaps it was something in particular like Mia. Kim would have to figure out what sweets Regina disliked and try to find one she didn't. Regina decided to speak about the matter again and mentioned not wanting to have sweets around Athena.

He smirked.

"Don't use Athena as an excuse! You can always nibble when she's not around!"

"But sure. I get that you don't want some right now, that's fine. Sometimes I don't want sweets at a certain time either." Kim commented, although that was a rare thing for him. Still, it did happen. As Regina spoke, saying that she was done with her centerpiece and asked Faye how she was doing, Kim was about to look over when his name was called. Who was it? It was a familiar voice, a male one. Ah yes, it was Avery. Avery Chen.

The boy who shared the same name as his aunt, uncle and cousins. But who was unrelated to them. Kim had always had a soft spot in his heart for them. Perhaps it was that reason as to why he had allowed Avery to get closer to him in the first place. During their first meeting at Potions class, the two had competed to see who could finish their potion first and Kim had won. The loser was required to be the winner's slave for the entire week. It'd been tons of fun.

Kim stifled a chuckle, thinking about it.

The ideas he'd come up with at the time had been hilarious but also really awesome.

He'd even drawn a portrait of each costume he'd made Avery wear and taken pictures with a wizard camera to forever remember the moment.

"Avery!" Kim called out to him, motioning for him to come over to him at the Hufflepuff table. He couldn't help but laugh as Avery dumped some glitter onto a girl's head. If he'd been closer, Kim would have come over to help the boy but they were a good distance apart, even though they could see eachother over the sea of heads. There were too many people between them for Kim to try and force his way over to see him. Crowds were not his thing, never were.

"Avery!" Kim responded with a wave. Avery grinned back and raised his brows at his friend, but in that moment of lost concentration, all glitter went to hell.

In an instant, the seated girl looked like she had just come into contact with a Mario Star, shimmering blindingly. However, what was missing was obviously the joy that came with receiving a video-game star that made you invincible.

"Blimey, watch where you go with that stuff, would you?" she said, with some irritation, which was surely understandable. Avery managed a sheepish smile. Having to deal with a cup full of glitter now hiding in all the folds of your clothing and possibly your mouth was certainly not pleasant. Leaving a trail wherever you walked or sat. Contaminating your friends when you hugged them. Maybe still finding glitter a week later.

"Oh, yes- tissues!" Avery chirped, digging into his pocket and pulling out a small packet, which he willingly handed over to the girl. "Here, take as many as you need." Thank goodness he always kept some handy to clean up rosin dust after violin practice.

Upon a closer inspection, he recognized the girl as fellow Slytherin first-year, June Selwyn. Although he hadn't really hung out with her, he knew she was a friend of Maggie's. And, with his very generous method of deduction, he deemed that any friend of a friend of his could potentially be his friend, too, even if June herself didn't feel inclined to be his friend after this mishap. Our boy was often overly-optimistic. "There's like, a lot stuck on your face, by the way." He motioned towards his own face, absent-mindedly, as he looked at June. "Just thought you should know. But it might not be a bad thing, right? Don't girls like to wear makeup with glitter these days?" He chuckled at his own joke. Not the same thing, Avery, his mind told him, but his mouth could never shut up when he was embarrassed. Too early for a joke? Probably too early for a joke. He cut his nervous chuckling short.

In response to June's possibly-rhetorical question about carrying everything all at once, Avery shrugged, not really quite sure what he was thinking, either. He usually did things simply because he wanted to. "It didn't look like too much to handle, but I guess I got greedy. Couldn't say no to the snacks, or the glitter. I was hoping to make the most eye-catching rainbow-glitter flower and then duck out, y'know? It's gotta be good if I took time to make it," he jabbered on, now wiping the seat and table with a hand and scooping any wayward glitter he could gather back into the cup, noticing with relief that June had bent down to help him with the papers instead of giving him a good scolding. Maybe he wasn't going to get a thrashing, after all. "Thanks for the help, June," he said gratefully, once the stack of papers had been re-assembled.

Feeling a bit less nervous, and seeing the several neat paper flowers she had already assembled and half-assembled, he took the liberty to ask: "Hey, do you mind if I sit here to make mine?" He'd understand, though, if he was infringing on her crafting and if she wanted nothing more to do with him. "It just seems like you've really gotten the hang of it and they're turning out great," he explained, nodding to the flowers she'd already completed. "Mind showing me the ropes on how to get started?"

It was June and that meant it was pride month, Marina's favorite month. She herself wasn't
part of the LGBTQ+ community but her twin sister was, so Marina had always tried to show her support for her sister and people like her sister when ever she could.

Marina walked over to the Gryffindor table and began making her decorations. She selected red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple pieces of paper, one of each. She folded the red paper into an origami crane. Marina struggled a bit a first with folding the paper since it was thicker than traditional origami paper. Once she got used to the paper texture Marina folded the other pieces of paper she had selected into more cranes. Then she found a spool of transparent string and began hanging the cranes on it. Marina made knots around each crane so that they would stay in place. At last, Marina had finished her first string of cranes. She stood back for a moment to admire her work, but quickly went back to folding cranes. If Marina was going to make her vision for this project come alive, she did not have much time to waste.

Marina folded more and more cranes. The pile of them next to her continued to grow as she worked. Marina looked around the great hall. There quite a few people and most of them were crafting together. Marina hoped someone would come help her with the crane folding or at least talk to her.

A huge smile of relief came upon AngelFyre's face very shortly after sitting next to Harper. "Boy, did I choose to sit by the right person, or what?" she enthused. "I was a little afraid that you might object to being bothered with company to start with, and then when I went into my little thought derailment there, I was afraid you would think me an idiot for not knowing just what this whole thing was about." And AngelFyre continued to smile her smile of relief, now mixed with less of her earlier embarrassment but with more of a genuine interest and purpose now that she had an inkling of what was actually going on around her.

Gazing at Harper who was practically vibrating with excitement herself, AngelFyre laughed happily and felt warm inside. "So, would you mind if I asked some more questions, and if they get too personal, throw down the white flag of surrender and I shall cease and desist. I promise," and she chuckled while turning back to her floral centerpiece.

"You mentioned being bi-curious. I am assuming that means, as far as you know right now, that you either have an interest in both genders or you are uncertain which gender you are interested in? Am I on the right track there? If it means the former, do the feelings you get about both genders manifest the same way?" AngelFyre stopped for a moment, thinking. "That was a very imprecise question. Sorry. I guess what I am curious about since I have only ever been attracted to a boy is whether it feels the same to be attracted to a boy as it does to feel attracted to a girl, or is the attraction simply different based on the person themselves?"

AngelFyre's head was swimming. She was well aware of what her faith taught her about such subjects, but there were two things she believed trumped everything else in the Bible. The first was that she was commanded to love everyone, sinner or not, because after all, everyone was a sinner, AngelFyre herself included, and that was the point. The Lord, her God, did not give her the option to not love someone because of the choice of person that someone chose to love. That brought her directly into the second trump card, not to belittle her faith in any way by stating it as such, but it did exactly explain how she thought of such things in heart and mind. The second trump card was a biggie. It was free will. God did not force his children to follow him, but it did not prevent Him from loving them nonetheless. Knowing this, AngelFyre just could not imagine not befriending someone, or even condemning them, because of who they chose to love. The anger and damage and pain caused by some people feeling the need to impose their will and beliefs over others always struck AngelFyre as the basest kind of hypocrisy, especially when done in the name of faith.

Finishing up her centerpiece, she held it up and looked it over with an eye to detail. She thought it looked beautiful, but she had been looking at it for too long. It was easy to miss things when too close too them for too long. A fresh set eyes and new perspective were always welcome. "Tell me honestly. How do you think it looks?"

Piérre had been waiting patiently for the evening events to begin at the table of Hufflepuff, the event that had been talked about for days since the errand had been first posted. It was June, and many of the students were thrilled to be prideful of who they were. To Piérre, June was another month... But even he had to admit that having a plethora of rainbows fluttering about every which way wasn't always a bad thing, even if he wasn't affiliated with any of the symbolism behind it.

Truth be told the Jester was caught between a rock and a hard place, not entirely sure what to make of festivities such as the likes of these. He got it... It was important to celebrate oneself. But also... He didn't quite feel like he belonged to these specific festivals.

So he sat around watching for the most part, toying with a false paper flower a lovely shade of orange; a hue that didn't match the flower crown of ivy, hyacinth, and bright red yew berries that had been conjured by him earlier that day. He saw some dramas going on about him, flustered confessions, enjoyment... Several teachers. Their Astronomy Teacher nowadays was a very sudden 180 from a very specific one from Piérre's second year. Not a very pertinent observation for the moment, but one that the lad made anyways out of a whim of fancy.

Tossing the flower aside, Piérre put his chin in his hands as he puffed out his cheeks. Decorations were being down about and strung up every which way, colors scintillating into a collection of blurry sights and sounds that caused Piérre to shift his gaze every few seconds to avoid being hypnotized by any particular pattern that was occurring nearby.

Yes, the colors. They really were something, weren't they?

Piérre slowly lifted his chin from his hands. Figaro, cozied and well asleep around his shoulders let out a small "Mew!" of displeasure at his brother's constant movement before flicking his left ear in surrender and attempting to doze once again. Piérre found himself taking inventory of the Hufflepuff table before him... Seeing what he had to work with and what he could do do add a little bit more "Spice" to this errand...

Well... Paper, ribbons, long rivulets of paper maché and construction paper.
Glue, sparkles, glitter...

Letting the Jester near any of this had been a huge mistake on everyone's behalf. Glancing around quickly at what wasn't being actively used, Piérre's swift hands swiped as much of the supplies as he humanly could. There were so many people at the Hufflepuff table that he may have accidentally nabbed a few things from under their noses right before they were going to make a grab for it, but the Jester, humming a pleasant, if tuneless, fanfare, was already concocting a brilliant scheme that would be the envy of any troublemaker.

It involved a spell. A very stupidly easy spell, and a very small plastic container to aim at... A perfect ambush. The boy had come to cause pandemonium and wreak havoc and he would be darned if that wasn't what he was going to do tonight!

In went all the ribbon he could force in, tissue paper and maché, paint... Oh goodness paint... Sparkles, and to top it off... An immense dousing of glitter and glue, which altogether concocted a very sticky, colorful and immensely sparkly Fragmentation Grenade of Rainbows. Trademark and official name still pending, of course.

Sealing it up with the screw-on cap, Pierre shook it a bit, feeling the heft and the sight of the slimy, goopy, stringy mess on the inside. He had a weapon to rival the gods with... Now he needed a target...

Or a group of targets...

Green eyes scanned the vicinity for the perfect targets... Preferably ones within range of his throw... Most likely a group at the Hufflepuff table that he sat at right now.

He saw them. A group of three; two girls and a boy with vivid blonde hair. They were clumped together quite nicely... And the boy looked as if he was gesturing to invite another person over. They were just down the table from him. All Piérre would have to do was lean forward and toss the Fragmenting Grenade of Rainbows...

And chaos would commence.

Figaro yawned around the boy's neck again, unsheathing claws as the silver Bengal stretched luxuriously, purring into Piérre's pink hair. Piérre scratched his beloved feline behind the ear with his right hand, tossing the grenade in his left gently to a certain the weight and drift of it before winding up, twisting his torso...

Then bringing his arm forward and releasing gracefully into the most beautiful throw he had ever seen (Nat 20). It landed perfectly where he wanted it to (maybe beaning one of the three of them in the head in the process) before rolling to a stop between them in perfect equality. They would see the ugly looking mess of slime in the plastic container for only a second or two before a sudden burst of force would strike the container dead center (Knockback Jinx, Wis cast of 23, Acc of 25, Potential Damage of 150) at the beheist of a certain Piérre whispering under his breath; Flipendo! with a decisive flick of yew and snallygaster.

The contents of the container would explode outwards in all directions (true to its trademark pending name) in an attempt to splash all three of the conversationalists (Faye, Kim, and Regina) with a mess of glue, glitter, paint, sparkles, and slimy ribbon mixes with paper maché.

Regardless of the outcome of his little prank, Pierre began to hoot and laugh wildly, hugging his chest snd kicking his legs with uproarious glee. That had been too perfect to be real! To perfect that not even the Jester himself could have done better.

Nor could I have.

Figaro, thoroughly tired of his brother's antics, yawned and consigned himself.to the knowledge that he would not be getting a good night's sleep until Pierre had thoroughly wound himself down or worn himself out for the night.
That could often take a while, so in the meantime, Figaro leapt from his owner's shoulders and began to investigate some other familiar scents from earlier that day... That of @Colin McCoire and his small clique.

A silver Bengal would trot up to them gently before sitting pristinely with green eyes half closed, an audible purr rumbling in its throat as it watched from a few feet away.
