I mainly say mate online tbh, or when I talk to specific friends. Tbh, I only really call my male friends mate and my female friends by nicknames? I don’t say it a lot. I say G a lot haha. I am quite slang heavy more irl than online

I'm not British but I do a pretty good Aussie accent so I end up calling everyone mate lol. The only people I regularly call mate are my close friends, or if I'm saying "Oi, mate, that's rough." Which I probably say far too often tbh
