----Ah, such wonder! To take arms against a older year and watch them suffer for it always brings a happy tear to Vale's eyes. And she got to watch her catch up on fire! The Ashwood Legacy was truly committing to watching its enemies burn! Her father would be most certainly proud.
"Burn Ravens! BURN!" Vale would scream out, pushing her broom as far as it can go.

With a swish of the wand, Ari sent Paige soaring above the race track. Even if his coordination when evading trees or walls wasn't the best, he prided himself on his spellcasting. More often than not, the magic met its mark unless someone was quick enough to evade. He had actually considered becoming a duellist before broom racing had become a sport. But now that he had been a broom racer all these years, he wouldn't consider switching sports.

He didn't want to feel the growing worry inside, but it would have been unwise to not expect Slytherin to return fire. Now, Ravenclaw would just have to do even more to hold the snakes under their talons.

Bright light couldn't stop Bloom. She would squint as much as possible to lessen the light incoming her eyes and still be able to see. Though, she did not realize the fire that was coming after her from behind from the creature. She first felt the air around her get hot, but then felt the scorch on her legs and shrieked in pain, but she still kept going. Nothing was going to stop her. Not bright lights nor burnt skin. Bloom kept going.

However, she had managed to roughly stay with her team as they zoomed through the fourth unit.

Back in the air again, Colin scanned the course around him. November lay motionless on the ground a little way behind him. At least she couldn't feel the pain of crashing to ground any more. Oof. Colin's ribs were killing him. He could feel the blood seeping out of his chest and into his shirt. The hospital staff and healing interns would be busy after this race!

Bloody pigeon feathers! Projectiles and spells flew in every direction, knocking Snakes out of the air! Colin's strategy was clear. Find a bird --- any bird --- and knock him or her out of the sky! High up, Colin found his target. With a jab towards his target and a savage, whiplike jerking of his wand, Colin cast the descension spell at Mallary.

Colin sneered through his own pain. The spell dragged the proud eaglet from her aerie and thumped her to the ground! Well, there was one less enemy to deal with.
