CHASERS

The Quaffle would have been very lonely if it weren’t for Aryaan Shamsi and Katherine Felix. Ritsu Okazaki, although in the area, seemed to be quite out of it. Thus, Katherine and Aryaan only had one another as competition.

For the first four grabs, Aryaan had a decently easy time. He grabbed the Quaffle and flew towards Beauxbatons-Castelobruxo’s goals to find them undefended, so he could score easily.

During the fifth Quaffle grab, Aryaan and Katherine’s hands grabbed the Quaffle at the exact same time. Katherine would wrench the Quaffle away from him, and since Egon Gushiken was not paying attention, she, too, was able to score without difficulty.

BEATERS

Beauxbatons-Castelobruxo was out for blood. Chasers Agata Ríos Matos and River Fayre, Keeper Delphine Laurent and Beater Monet Èlisa Navarro-Gallay all geared up to blatch Miharu Goto. However, when Delphine began the fight, Sara Kohana flew in front of Monet, a loyal defender. However, Delphine was able to blatch him, and no one was waiting to save him.

’Laurent! Penalty lap!’

Next was River, who had recovered from last round’s stupor. She readied herself to blatch, but something stopped her. She wouldn’t be able to explain it. Perhaps it was chills, perhaps it was sudden fear of penalty laps. No matter what stopped her, she was unable to perform her blatch, and Miharu continued flying.

’Fayre! Penalty lap!’ She had made an attempt.

Monet would not let this slide. She flew towards Miharu, and it seemed that today was not Miharu’s lucky day. Monet successfully pushed the Seeker off of her broom, and as no one was waiting to save her, she fell to the ground.

’Navarro-Gallay! Penalty lap!’

At the very least, it seemed that Agata would avoid penalty laps, seeing as her target was already falling.

The horrors were not over. The bludgers, seemingly bored and yearning for action, would strike. One zoomed towards Mahoutokoro-Koldovstoretz’s Keeper, Egon Gushiken, who nimbly evaded it. The other headed towards Beauxbatons-Castelobruxo’s Keeper, Delphine Laurent, who was not so nimble. She was hit, but she managed to stay on her broom.

SEEKERS

As Miharu fell, she would stretch out her arm in an attempt to catch the Golden Snitch. However, it flew out of reach, and she was unable to catch it before she hit the ground.

She was feeling good. Past games had involved her mainly waiting around for people to fall and while it was nice saving others from further injury and letting them continue play, actually grabbing the quaffle and scoring was far more entertaining. Especially so when she begun getting help from River and competition from Rosella and Aryaan. Clearly someone was having fun, a smile spreading on Kit's face as she got into the rhythm and stride.

The last round had been a bit slower with Agata as her partner instead and Aryaan the sole contender. Yet what she hadn't expected was for her goals to be taunted, or to eventually figure out that she had been jinxed. Instead, she'd laugh as the grin grew, offering him a teasing yet incredulous side glance.

"Hey! Three's a pretty solid set- I'd like to see you get that." It was a challenge, never mind her heavy breathing. If she just kept her speed, she wouldn't feel any of it and could continue going, right?

Apparently not. With each chance, Kit would find herself lagging behind and trailing the boy rather than actually competing against him. And with the Keeper somewhere else, it would simply be the air that could the quaffle from passing through the space between the Mahoutokoro boy and the hoops. Apparently the air and rain didn't really care if he scored, and so the other team got 40 points. Surely Beauxbatons-Castelobruxo could not be losing steam now?

No, Kit refused. She would give the next quaffle reach her last burst of energy, not great performance compared to earlier in the game but just enough to get a hand around the quaffle at the same time as the other. "No no no, this one's mine." With a smile, the girl leaned in to get a better grip on the ball before wrenching it from away his grasp and soaring off. It was easier than she had expected and with the opposing keeper not really paying attention, Kit lobbed in the quaffle and received her 10 points. Finally.

She was gearing up to beat him again when the whistle blew as Miharu tumbled to the ground with a snitch. It was probably for the best too, the adrenaline slowly wearing off to find how much energy she had spent. Exhausted laughter escaped as she relaxed while idly flying through the air on her slow descent down. Kit would be sure to find Aryaan at some point on her travels to ground, though, nodding her head in appreciation. "That! That was good. Not sure I could have kept up had the game gone on longer-" She was both curious to find out and far too tired at this point to suggest continuing on, nor was the Beauxbatons student keen on getting demolished right after she had won. "But, you ever want to practice sometime- I wouldn't mind the competition."

Regardless of whether he agreed or not, she'd end off with a wave and a final shout of "See you around camp!" and "Congrats!" to all those around before hopping off her broom and heading towards the infirmary to check up on her friends and teammates.
