This one had started a little more… gross than Wyatt would have liked to imagine, but if there was a silver lining to be pointed out in this literal shitstorm, it was that Wyatt wasn’t the receiver of the worst of it. Either way, Percival needed to be scourgified, and quickly. He couldn’t possibly have been comfortable, and the smell couldn’t have been anything less than nauseating.

After the pigeons left their first marks, the players became more rowdy—certain badgers in particular. Della had difficulty focusing on every move and spell that occurred next. Percival was able to successfully rid himself of the bird's filth. He was distracted, causing the oldest Hufflepuff player to target him. The sixth year must have chosen a fairly difficult spell because she couldn't get it to work. George tried hitting both Wyatt and Colin, only succeeding with the latter, sending the poor boy careening through the course blindfolded. While Jack and Simon settled to throw a log and a rock, respectively, at Vale. Both projectiles clobbered the poor girl as she fell from the air. Della quickly dispatched the fallen player to the hospital wing.

The pigeons, still agitated, all immediately flocked toward Colin, who couldn't see them anyway. They did their worst and covered the poor boy head to toe. At least he didn't get any in his eyes?

Della lost sight of most of the racers as they entered the next section of dense woods, but she could hear them knocking about. She winced as she thought of entering the area blindfolded. Only the charming Jack Warren seemed to exit the patch of trees unharmed.

Just when our dear moderator and probably many of the spectators had thought the bloodthirsty badgers were done with mayhem, the youngest Hufflepuff upped the ante. Sophie used her body to create a projectile dung bomb and aimed it right at June, sending her flying from her broom and hurtling down toward the ground.

It was hard to turn away from the sailing snake, but poor poor Colin had entered the fog. Della watched as his figure circled round and round, getting lost. To be fair, he probably would have done this without the help of the fog, having his eyes covered and all.

Unlike his confuddled teammate, Wyatt was surging ahead of the rest of the pack. He shot through the waterfall triumphantly, but some water may have got in his eyes because he promptly flew into the side of the narrow passageway. But he was in the lead nonetheless!

Looking over to her captain, she would nod if she caught his eye. It was time. There was a strategy behind this madness. It was not just "zoom" to the finish line. There was a plan in the chaos. "Relashio!" Serena muttered with a wave of her wand as she tried to cast the spell but it did not seem to work. Ugh, she really needed to get her head into the game. She was not holding up her end of the strategy but it looked like others might have been as spells or projectiles went flying.

She grunted slightly as she scrapped against a tree branch that stung her skin. Gritting her teeth, she continued to fly as best as she could. Okay, slow down, take a deep breath and figure out what the heck to do next. There were still many obstacles ahead and she was bleeding, and it hurt. Alright, she had to do this. Why was today going terribly? Was this a forecast of how her performance at the upcoming Hexwizard trial would go? Was she going to just fail as Hogwarts' bishop? She gripped her broom and wand tightly, trying to take deep breaths to control herself.

Pine Chopper
This slender Scots Pine would make a fine Christmas Tree but this tree was modified with purpose. A metallic framed seat complete with windshield and stirrups has been added at the back, serving as the tree's counterweight. This sturdy, reliable tree that will definitely get the job done.

Speed: Top Speed is 6, however when you reach a speed of 6 this increases to a 10% chance that you will auto miss (with anything requiring an accuracy roll) and you will be auto-hit (with anything requiring a dodge roll).
Ability: Immune to broken broomshaft.
This broom is intended to carry multiple people. When someone uses the catch option to rescue a falling teammate, they can catch one additional teammate in a given round. This broom can carry up to four users. If the user has the ability Catch then a user can catch an indefinite number of teammates in a round, but for each person they catch after the first there is a stacking 20% auto-failure chance. Returning users to their broom is a free action for the owner of the blue bottle, but those being returned to their broom need to use their action getting to their broom. Only one person can be returned to their broom as a free action (for the owner) per round, they can use their action to return a second user however.

----Vale wasn't sure what happened, but she was sure something hit her hard. Very hard. She was left dazed and confused before she even realized that she was behind everyone else, with bodies quickly moving past her. She shook her bleeding head, hoping that the dizziness she was feeling would go away from that before hurrying to move forward. Surely she didn't receive a concussion from whatever hit her. It wasn't pleasant getting medically treated from the last time she had one-

Due to a misunderstanding on my part, I made an error in calculating Jack's improvised projectile. It did hit Vale, which combined with Simon's projectile and bleed, has brought Vale's health down to 0, knocking her out. I've made the corrections to the original mod post.

Sophie grinned at the Slytherin she just knocked off her broom. She tried not to think about the injuries she could have just caused. She turned away from the girl, shifting her focus on the race. She didn't get poked by trees and thorns as much as last time, which was probably a good sign. And most importantly, there were no pigeons.

Throwing stuff wasn't really Simon's idea of good clean broom racing. Sure, it wasn't against the rules and in fact was a perfectly legal move to throw a projectile but he enjoyed winning on the skills of his flying. That was a perfect world sort of scenario though and this was a team sport - he not only had his teammates to think about who yearned for a win but opponents that wouldn't hesitate to throw something of their own.

A broom race was like war and in war, one didn't hold back.

Pigeons? Not a problem. Trees? Just a little scratch in the thick of it, nothing June couldn’t brush off. Just as June had her sights set on the upcoming foggy stretch, some girl rammed into her, sending June tumbling to the ground. June pushed herself off the ground, dusting the dirt off of her hands. “Are you serious?” She was furious. Whoever this girl was, June was surely going to remember her. And not in a good way.

Wyatt didn't see anyone ahead of him, which either meant that he was very very far behind or he was in the lead. Still, it was better to focus on the path ahead than to get caught up on where he was in the game. Through several deep breaths, Wyatt kept his mind as clear as possible, thinking of nothing but the race. Keep going, keep going, he told himself. Best not to get too cocky yet. Still, deep down, he vaguely wondered if Opeila could see how well he was doing in the race right now.

Percival, as well as many others probably didn't appreciate the bird crap that was all in his hair and body. Hovering along, he pointed the wand at himself and decided to clean himself up for his benefit and others. With a swish of his wand, the bird crap was soon purged and more. Squeaky clean Gray brushed himself lightly and prepared himself with his next move. At the same time, a sparkle seemed to come off the Slytherin boy almost as if he had cleaned perfectly.

For a short time, Gray was looking fabulous in the middle of a broom race.
