Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it): Beatrice had grown up on a farm. Her parents had always been out and about on the land day in, day out. There had been no use for fancy clothes. Her nan, the ever-loving pureblood had always expected to look pretty, but after her husband had passed and she had moved in with her daughter, she hadn't felt the rigorous need to wear long velvet skits and silk blouses every day. There was comfort in a plain cotton dress and apron, especially when brewing potions. These were the role models that Beatrice looked up to. The people that taught her, whether purposeful or not, that looks didn't matter. It was how someone appeared, but how they acted, that was the true way of measuring someone.
When she had arrived at Hogwarts, it had been no different. There were many more children here than just Beatrice and her sister, but it didn't matter. Looks were not how one should be perceived. If you were a bully, then sure, Beatrice would tell you to be quiet and mind your manners. But if you wore hand-me-down clothes that were slightly too big? Never, there would be a free seat available on the train or Great Hall. As her school years went on, it wasn't just the hand-me-down robes that Beatrice was impartial to, but quite the opposite. Many of the older students were able to save their pocket money, buying flashy new clothes or brooms or sweets. Beatrice didn't care for them. It wasn't just the older students either. The young ones, from rich, usually pureblooded means, were the same. Beatrice resolved they wouldn't be treated any different than the poorest of muggleborns. They were all equally the same.
When she had moved from Comrie Farm in Ellon, Scotland to her muggle grandparents in Salsford, England, Beatrice had been up in arms. Even though her muggle side knew of her mother and that she lived on a farm, they had always judged her for how she looked and acted. She was weird they said, preferring her plants and dirt stains to civil pursuits. Beatrice couldn't likely tell them she and her mother grew magical plants for potion making. Her grandparents would think she was nuts! But every time a sly comment was made Bea would file it away in her mind. And every time she looked to her Mother, she would minutely shake her head and brush off the comment. It didn't matter how looked. "As long as you are kind," her Ma would say.

Describe why this fits your character:
ReducioWord count: 427Two. There were two snakes. How the hell had she done it?
Summer camp was not just for relaxation. No, June had work to do. She hadn't entirely ruled out the possibility that the serpentine racing team was cursed. Yet, she wasn’t naive; she would not allow her own lack of skill be a potential culprit.
Thus, early in the morning, usually before her tent-mates had stirred, June was awake, spending time in a secluded area of the stadium. This morning, in the first week of camp, her drills were quite simple. June was practicing the quickness of her spellwork, conjuring and then vanishing snakes as fast as she could. She needed to hone her speed and precision, leaving no room for error.
She went through the familiar motions, her wand moving with practiced ease, her mind concentrated on her speed and percision. And then... Well, she wasn't quite sure what she had done differently, but something felt different about her casting. And when the beam of her spell left her wand, it split open into two, and now, well. There were two snakes.
Could she replicate it? June was curious. "Vipera Evanesca!" One of the snakes vanished. Annoyed, she quickly dispelled the second snake and examined her wand, turning it over in her hands. How had she done it? How the hell had she done it? Forget practicing the speed of her spells—this discovery was far more intriguing. And practical, at that. June was familiar with the concept of splitting a spell, it had just never occurred to her to attempt to do it. And now that she had actually made an effort, she failed.
Failure would not be the name of the game this summer.
Morning by morning June would practice. Though, being not entirely sure what she was meant to be practicing, it took some time to see any sort of progress.
After a week, June had split her spell three additional times. Which perhaps seemed impressive, but was far less so when you considered the hundreds of failed attempts. She realized that the key, at least for her, was best described as splitting her mind. Pulling the left and right apart with such force that your eyes almost seemed to point in different directions, that your mind felt cold and foreign.
Once two weeks had passed, June was becoming more consistent. At three, she had moved onto more complex spellwork. And by the end of camp, she packed both bags with one casting of the packing charm. Oh yes, this would be useful.

Name of Ability that you Are Applying for: Terrible Presence (Year 3 abilily)
Describe why this fits your character:
452 words
ReducioThe young Villa had this sort of aura around her. She would death glare random people for apparently no reason at all, she would side-eye things whether or not she finds them annoying or intriguing. Ara had this tired expression on her face as default. Eyes are called the windows to the soul by many. Though her eyes are always narrow, every few minutes, a new glare, side-eye, judgy look, eye roll, or look of disgust was in it. She had a sharp glare, like pointing daggers into someone's soul.
Since she was little, she was always quiet and kept to herself. A few unfortunate charismatic souls approached her to be greeted with a glare. Only absolute extroverts thay apparently have no fear could approach Ara but she drove them away. Fellow pureblooded children were forced to make friends with her but they couldn't even get close to her outside the dinner table. Something about her was "wrong" according to them. It wasn't like she was unpleasant off the bat, she was technically but if you didn't bother her, she wouldn't bother you. People just stayed away from her.
Ara is very easily irritated, just by loud noises, loud people, obnoxious sayings, etc. It was easy to get into her "Annoying slobs" list. Getting into Hogwarts, people didn't want to interact with her nor did she. Mainly ignoring people in her first year.
She was quite observant of her elder sister, Catherine. Perfect smile, warm welcomes, beautiful, and easy to approach. Ara didn't really long to be like her sister but she watched as many people long to be friends with Catherine. She couldn't help but notice that more people approached Catherine rather than her in any situation. Not like she was jealous, but the preference was awfully obvious.
Her words were sharp as well, especially when she's been messed with. The way she responded to questions fuelled this even more. She was blunt but logical and somehow her tone was insulting as well. She had a certain tone in her voice, either sounding unserious and tired, monotone, or her insulting tone. She always kept to herself, making her seem more mysterious and scary than most. The girl would scoff and sigh a lot as well. Her ability to intimidate and scare people got better as she grew up with her habit of observing people, sometimes subconsciously.
Most people didn't want to talk to her, not just because of her attitude. The way she looked also drove people away. She was somewhat intimidatingly pretty, paired with her side-eyes and judgy looks, she seems prideful to some. Her RBF didn't help as usual. Her way of fashion was also screaming high status (mostly).

Name of Ability that you Are Applying for:'s Grace (Second Year)
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
ReducioOrdinarily, the Shephard household was a quiet and echo-y cave, given that a house so big was only sheltering little Emily and "Auntie" all the time. However, during the times that Emily's mother would be home after a series of business trips out of the country, it would be as if a paparazzi had infiltrated the home with the number of business partners and helpers that she would bring home with her upon every single arrival home to discuss their next series of outings and sometimes to draft and design the basis for new lines of clothing - much to Emily's frustration now that she would be disturbed by pretentious and well-off fashion people in the meantime.
While Emily usually kept to herself while her mother and her circus of flying monkeys dominated the house during the days that her mother would be home, it would be inevitable for a child to get curious and watch just what it was that a parent did for their job from a silent distance. Growing up, she learnt how to sneak about the house in quiet footsteps as her mother's troupe paraded around her without noticing a single beat. Other times she could peek from behind the corner without fear of being seen.
The tactic to sneak was even handier during the days when her mother would be consulting with ambitious rising models and designing a new look or two for them in the living room downstairs. Unlike her parents who were never at home, Emily had learnt the house like the back of her hand - every creaky floorboard, every squeaky door, even when she could tell how close someone was judging by how the sound dipped and increased in their footsteps along the floor. She had learnt what steps to take, how to to turn the door handle just right before it would start squeaking and how close was too close before someone would notice her. All this information would help Emily creep into the living room carefully and take a few scraps of discarded patterns that her mother wouldn't miss. One man's trash is another man's treasure as they say. And her mother wouldn't notice a thing.
Her father's business meetings were a bit trickier. While her mother's presence brought chaos, her father brought virtually nothing of the sort. His were like a strict teacher educating a classroom - no one dared to speak up when he would be lecturing about economics or business or whatever it was that Emily couldn't care less about. But even then there was always somewhere to sneak quietly past them.
While it was extremely rare for Emily to be allowed to see her father in his own office building, she nevertheless developed her silent steps during his board meetings where she would somehow find herself roped into the ordeal and she'd need the bathroom or needed a drink without disturbing the affair - a case of intolerance to distractions by her father. It all started with a slow and steady duck under the table to reduce the chair's movement and by extension, its sound and then crawling up and out from under the table and into the smooth sliding door out the corridor. And no one would bat an eyelid, not even at the blatantly empty chair in the middle of the room where she was meant to be sitting. Afterwards, she would repeat the steps back to front, as if she never left.
At home however, when her father would visit, it was much easier. With him enthralled in phone calls all day long, Emily could easily tiptoe into his study and grab a book or two that she would have her eye on and then quietly dance around in his shadow for a bit before sliding back out the room undetected.
Her parents seem to forget sometimes that they have a daughter - no more so than they forget they're married to each other instead of their work. While it was somewhat advantageous, Emily knew now how to effectively hide behind corners and slip in and out of view undetected when needed. All it required was slow and steady movement and patience.
And of course none of this practice goes to waste when she is out walking in the forest park and wanting to feed some birdies. Laying out her offering of breadcrumbs she would gently hide away behind a tree as she watches her beaky buddies chow down. She was like a little soul watching over them each time she was outside.
It was safe to say that when the time called for it, Emily could be quite sneaky. All with good intentions of course!

Name of Ability or Race/Talent that you Are Applying for: Broken Broomshaft
Describe why this fits your character:
ReducioPercival gritted his teeth as sweat dripped down his forehead, collecting at his brow. Swallowing thickly as the midday heat beat down on his weary bones. Gaze stuck fast onto his fated opponent ahead of him. It seemed strange for his Uncle to care this much about Quidditch to hire him a private tutor. Far exceeding the simple equipment he had been given to work with in previous years. He could still hear his Uncle's words as the man reminded him that failure would not be tolerated in their household. Percival gripped his bat tighter before flipping it over in his hand. Brows furrowed downward as he squinted through the bright summer sun. His throat felt dry and he could not help but wish he had something to drink. The bludger whistled through the air, growing closer, reminding him of the dance that he had been subjected too for the last couple of hours. Percival braced himself, gaze flicking quickly right as movement caught his eye. The boy brought his wooden bat back, hitting the bludger with a loud crack. Hurtling it towards his tutor and gaining himself a moment of reprieve from the drasted metal ball. Shaking out his arm and moving back slightly the boy readied himself for what would come next. The buzzing of the summer day seemed to drift away from his ears as he watched the man hit the bludger back as if he was simply swatting away a fly. Irritation brimmed away at his mind as the metal ball was sent flying away toward him. Percival grimaced as he quickly flew upwards and away from the danger that passed right below him. His hands felt shaky as he gripped onto his broom handle with his single hand. Right, despite the amount of effort he put into trying to hide it. A part of him could not help but feel the nervousness that almost getting pummeled by a bludger seemed to always drag out of him. Irritation pulled into his gut as he heard the drasted ball make its way back around. How badly he just wished he could be done already. Readying his bat the boy cracked his bat upon the metal ball. Hitting it far harder than really needed, and sending the ball sailing toward his instructor. Percival's eyes would quickly widen as his instructor was struck by the bludger, falling to the ground with his now shattered broom. Cursing inwardly, the boy landed just as a tirade of people swarmed the instructor. Percival walked up to his Uncle who stood off to the side, looking up toward him. Eyes widening as his Uncle handed him a piece of the broken broom a smile on his lips. It seemed weird, when had he made his Uncle smile at him so warmly. When was the last time he had made him proud? His own smile would slowly appear as he took the piece of wood. Clenching it in his palm for safe keeping. [+400]

Ability Applying for: Wandmaker [ Rosewood with Rougarou Hair, 12 Inches reasonably supple ]
Describe why this fits your character:
How He Got It
ReducioOne good thing about having divorced parents is the ability to pull out the pity card often for gifts. Not that Hanako wanted pity in the first place. He imagined many other kids in the same situation as him would be as well. But with a socially awkward mother who often fumbles when it comes to mending her relationship with her son, gifts were simply the easiest remedy. As 5th-year summer came by, the topic of a new wand came up.
Out of pure curiosity, he agreed. Stepping into Ollivanders again after all these years somehow made him feel like a 1st year again. Different yet, undoubtedly nostalgic. He tried out a few wands with a shrug, not really expecting to buy anything in the end. But that was before he held this particular wand. He wasn’t even paying attention when the old geezers explained to him what it was. It took a mere touch and he felt like the air being punched out of him yet made him feel so alive. Way better than meeting eyes with an attractive stranger. Something he never felt with his old wand. Just the idea of letting it go and hiding in Ollivanders again ached his chest.
Even without knowing what the wand was, he turned to his mother confidently. His moody teenage side is set aside for this crucial moment. “ This one. I want this one ”.
w/c: 234
Core: Rougarou Hair
Users of Rougarou hair wands are said to be good at keeping secrets.
- 10% of the damage done by a "dark" spell is done to a target that was successfully hit by a dark spell every round for the duration of the thread. This is considered to be "bleeding" and can be countered with the bandaging charm.
- In Duelling: This bleeding effect is limited to 4 rounds. If hit by another dark spell in the meantime, the bleeding effect is replaced with the new one.
- On a critical success with a "dark" spell, a second target (only if defined by the caster before this has been rolled) can be targeted, if no secondary target is declared then nothing happens
- 10% damage done with non-dark spells
ReducioHanako has always been proud of his iron grip on secrets. For the longest time, he uses the power of distraction to prevent his truths from coming out. His heart hardly ever on his sleeve. It makes it difficult for anyone to see what he hides behind flirty grins and sarcastic jokes. Why would he? Growing up ashamed of his upbringing and the cards of life he’s been dealt with, keeping secrets wasn’t a mere choice. It was a way of safety. Keeping a low enough profile that he doesn’t attract unwanted attention. Safety meant having a veil to shroud information it felt would endanger him. Whether that be avoiding pity or just embarrassing stains in his past. It’s a habit he holds dearly and is unlikely to let go for a very long time. And knowing how much he values secrecy himself, it is unlikely for him to go as low as exposing secrets to get at someone. Tempted, sure. But very unlikely to do it.

Wood : Rosewood
Wand Choice: Attracted to lovely people, both internally and externally.
Reducio
Complimenting someone with a massive ego is generally avoided by sane minds. Hanako’s first impressions do not tend to leave someone entranced. He has external loveliness, sure. He wouldn’t have been known as an awful flirt yet still have flings here and there if he didn’t. Anyone who has anything bad to say about him usually refers to his personality. He cleans up well, his appearance boyish yet somewhat charming. Confidence comes to him as easy as breathing. But to easily say he has any internal beauty is up for debate. His personality, while entertaining - isn’t appreciated by everyone.
But the boy is like a mimosa plant. Proudly showing off its leaves before curling itself in when someone gets close enough to touch it. The wand sensed it. The many facets of himself he hides from the naked eye, despite the shame and guilt clouding it.
Appreciation for things often comes from memories of being deprived of them first. When his parents wouldn’t take priority in spending time with him, he had to find his own version of serenity in small things. Even if it's to just keep himself sane. The pouring of tea with the breeze of early morning ruffling his hair. The blossoming of a new small leaf. A crescent moon with a blanket of stars behind it. What is true beauty? To him, it's a mysterious silent sensation, not a standard that changes every few cycles. Instead, a state of pleasantness. An unconditional appreciation for things at it is, not what it could have been. Unbeknownst to him, this habit had sharpened his appreciation for small things over time.
This carried forward even as a teenager. While the object of his attention often shifts, his decision to be attracted to anyone in the first place has no specific pattern upon closer inspection. They didn’t have to be known for beauty achievement or status. As if they only needed to show up as they were to be liked. Even with friends or loved ones, there is a fondness he can’t shake off even if he tries. As if in front of him, some of their flaws are allowed room to breathe instead of being pushed to conceal. A gentle, more genuine side to him appears only to a selected few.
It may sound somewhat contradictory, coming from someone with his own facade. He is far from ready to unconditionally accept himself. But after 5 years in Hogwarts and a lot of mental gymnastics, he becomes less adept at hiding his potential to care deeply. And how he used to yearn for his parents' unconditional acceptance, now projects on his close relationships. For better or worse. Being ‘lovely’ is subjective. In his case, his own loveliness has an edge to it. Sharp. Merely requiring a patient enough person to lower his guard down first.
w/c: 457
Flexibility: Reasonably Supple
ReducioFor the past 5 years, Hanako has undergone a lot of change. Previously, he would have said he was stubborn. Set in his ways. And yet he was always lucky (or unlucky) enough to attract all sorts of people who challenged his beliefs. Although he tends to be resistant to ideas, over time - with patience, even he can change. For example, he used to gag at the idea of being friends with people. Now he reluctantly admits there are people he actually cares for. Even if he’s hesitant to admit. Depending on the circumstances of his environment, Hanako wouldn’t mind anyone changing his mind. After they pass the numerous tests he sends their way to test their patience, of course.
w/c:120
Length: 12 inches / 30.48 cm
ReducioIt’s usually easy to tell if Hanako entered the room. He has never been the refined sort that hangs closer near the wall than where the party’s at. Not one to follow customs and polite conversation. He likes to be in the limelight. Having eyes on him can be energising for the right reasons. Never one for dull interactions, people often easily describe him as a little dramatic, but definitely lively. At the amusement and annoyance of all sorts of different people.

It was quite odd to say the least, what you may ask? Well none other than Odie's immense strength, even as a child she had been extremely strong and fast. She tricked many with her tall skinny frame, but Odie had what one could very much call a "sleepers build." Odie always seemed to tower over her peers due to her constant spurts of growth, same say this could be the reason to her strength. Odie was sometimes ridiculed for not being feminine enough, spending so much time outside, her wild hair, her sense of fashion, and even her name. Funnily enough she got her name becaue during her Mother's pregnancy she was convinced that Odie was going to be a boy, but turns out she was healthy baby girl, a girl who was Hearing. This also constituted to Odie's strength, but not physically mentally as she had to mature in some aspects a lot quicker than most children. Being a CODA (child of deaf adults) she to act as a translator alot for customers and her parents.... as well for doctors, restaurants,
and more. It was exhausting sometimes for the young girlz but strength goes both ways, she stood brave despite being quiet in nature and introverted. Not only was she a translator evryone would ask her favors for things, "Odie please help with the groceries!", "Odie can you move the couch please?", "Odie please take this into the attic!", "Odie can you get that crate from the top shelf for me?". Everyone in the small town of Cork County asked Odie for favors, she became well known as the little errand girl. She would deliver newspapers, packages, and food on her orange rusty bike. This was considered something normal, an everyday thing for her moving, shoving, delivering, and taking heavier items that some could not budge. An most of the time she wasn't paid for her services, she did it put of the kindness of her heart. Sometimes she would scream and cry, and even throw a fit in her room, but only because she knew that her parents would never hear. She would be out a few moments later as if nothing happened smiling, and back to her optimistic self, even tough sometimes she just needed some rest. It only made sense that she was often picked for sports or asked to join in, due to her immense physical strengths. Often because of the higher probability rate that they would win with her on their team. But of course they would also leave her out because of he joined a team it was "unfair" or "That's cheating!" Or somtimes it was because she was that "Deaf girl" or "oh shes weird, her parents are Deaf", so there were many games she would have sit alone. Odie would help in her family's shop helping carrying large toolboxes, moving cinderblocks, spinning large old-fashiond wheels, to screwing on bolts so tight that it was almost impossible to unscrew. When she was free, Odie enjoyed running about and climbing the tree nearby her home and gazing out at the endless hills as the sun setted.

ReducioMany people called Ophelia a lonely creature. Sure, she speaks to the rest of us, they would say, but she keeps herself distanced. She doesn't get close, they would say. Of course, as always, the crowd was wrong.
Yes, she was an introverted sort of person. Yes, she refused to tell someone all her secrets like everyone else. Yes, she didn't get close to every single person that she'd ever met. But no, she wasn't a lonely creature. The way the young Northwell saw it, she was as surrounded by friends as everyone else. She had layers, as she called them. The extremely close friends, also known as best friends, the normal friends, known to others as just 'friends,' and then, of course, the acquaintances. And of these layers of friends, Ophelia was extremely protective. It didn't matter whether they were the closest to her or the farthest away. If she knew their name, had spoken to them for even a moment, had shared even a sliver of the pie called life with them, then, she reasoned, they really did deserve her protection.
When she had been younger, the protection that Ophelia offered hadn't been much. Just as much as she could do at the time. She would keep a friend company if they looked lost, or sometimes, she would do group projects with acquaintances instead of best friends since the acquaintance didn't have anyone else. As Ophelia grew older, feeling more comfortable in social settings and knowing how to help more, she began to strengthen her protection, still offering as much as she could do. She started glaring at bullies in the hallways of her Muggle school and giving people who hurt her friends the cold shoulder. Then, that grew into saving friends from bullies and confronting them.
She began to look out for her friends, always keeping an eye on them in case they needed any help. If she caught them crying or hurt, she consoled them quietly, fixing up their wounds, helping them get back to normal. If she caught them worried about something or frustrated, she would help them through whatever troubled them, often going out of her way to do so. Ophelia considered herself the protector of everyone she met, since many of the people of today barely cared what happened to others. Eventually, many of her close friends told her that they felt safe around her unlike anyone else.

Prat had fairly common Black hair and very light brown eyes, which were not that rare among humans or muggles however the facial harmony among his facial features made Prat stand out. Along with his years of learnt as well as natural Elegance Prat also boasts a tall stature much like his father, already Standing at about Five feet only at the age of twelve, even taller than how his father had been at that age.
Coming from long standing pure-blood families on both side, Prat's parents understood how important looks were in their society, specially if they wanted Prat to find an equally proficient partner, this meant Prat getting a skincare routine even as a young child, nothing that'd damage his skin but Proper sleep, rest and not taking extra stress which only lasted a few weeks as Prat outright rejected his mother's proposal claiming it was hindering his ability to Practice further before attending Hogwarts.
However this didn't mean that Prat wasn't aware of his conventionally attractive looks (atleast for a child), he used it as his way to charm kids his age to get his work done, Prat discovered that a smile from his face along with a little "Please" made kids his age as well as adults ready to bend over backwards for his requests within reason. Prat knew the limits he could exploit this and decided to not test the waters beyond them, being content in getting a few extra candies or a few extra minutes in the playground while also enjoying the less scrutiny he had to experience if he ever messed up, something his mother told him Muggles called the Halo effect.
Prat had without knowing gone through such experiences, one of the times was when he tried to pick up an artifact kept at his Grand parent's place with his cousins and they all ended up breaking it, while the rest of the kids got scoldings and were then further reprimanded by their Parents whereas Prat after just making his eyes a little teary got away scott free.
Even as he grew up into double digits of age Prat has maintained his charm and goodlooks which turn heads no matter where he goes and garners him a lot of attention resulting in both compliments and jealousy,Yet Prat chooses to be nonchalant and unbothered about it as he only thinks of his Looks as another one of his attributes that are a means to an end.
Even the nurses commented on his above average looks when they'd visit for checkup, showering him with compliments left and right. ReducioGrowing up in the Scottish countryside with three siblings and a lot of visitors was, to say the least, a challenge from time to time. The large Dupont estate was by far no place of chaos, however even the most perfect of eldest daughters (in Konstantin and Alice’s eyes that is), still managed to get in trouble from time to time. Whether that happened during playing quidditch on their toy brooms and her older cousin throwing the quaffle a bit too hard for a child, or another time. Moving out of the way was not optional.
And even inside the estate, the Duponts had little nooks and cracks to avoid or incidents to evade. The large kitchen in which the house elves cooked and did other tasks was one of Beatrice’s favorite places, a spacious fireplace with a cushioned bench next to it. The Kitchen was always buzzing with action, house elves running from a to b and completing chores. While Beatrice loved to watch, she also often got into the middle of the chaos and had to learn to evade bodies or falling objects. Over time, that was no problem anymore but she also stopped being in the kitchen so much.
Instead she spent more time outside and with her siblings. This was around the time she was 8 and the house elves just didn’t interest her as much anymore. Her time was spent with games she played with her siblings such as pillow fights, always avoiding just in time, as well as other activities. However, they were still younger than Beatrice which caused them to be more with Alice Dupont, while Beatrice was often alone, with her tutor, or even in etiquette classes and extracurriculars.
As her Grandfather Victor Lavigne, still lived close to them at that point and Konstantin spent a lot of time away from home while Alice was busy with the other children, his attention was on Beatrice. He saw that she was more interested in quidditch rather than what her parents allowed her to do and to be. This caused him to take her under his wing for a bit of training. While he wasn’t as fit as he used to be anymore, Victor wanted to create a chance for his granddaughter to play quidditch in her later years at Hogwarts, if she wished so. And so they started training on her toy broom.
Evading did not come naturally to Beatrice, quite the opposite actually. She fell off her broom many times, hit by the Quaffle her grandfather threw over to catch, or the child-friendly bludger from their kids kit crashing into her side since she wasn’t fast enough. She got better over time and when she joined the quidditch team for Slytherin, she continued to keep training to evade whatever came her way.
