The Khoo Clan is a long line of pureblood families, which mixed different cultures in their bloodline. One of Hadrian’s ancestors was a Parselmouth from the far-away Scottish wizard family. The two families' paths crossed, tracing back to the second half of the 19th century.
Back in the 19th century, Callan Stevenson, a son of the well-known Stevenson family, was also a parselmouth. The family carried this trait for generations; perhaps the genes were from the marriages between the pureblood families in Scotland and England. Callan was born with the Parseltongue gift. He was brave, curious, and adventurous, not like anything the Stevensons wanted him to be. It was a rather conservative pureblood family, which didn’t like the new revolutionary happening around them and stuck with their traditional values. Callan was intrigued by the maritime adventure, and he was never the favorite child in this family of diminished fortunes, with a lower order of inheritance, so he took on the boat to Southeast Asia to find his own adventure.
Callan landed in the other part of the world, far away from his hometown, in Sumatra. The natural environments and different cultures fascinated him. He loved the place instantly. The turning point of his life was when he traveled across the strait to Melaka, finding the wizards' community there, especially meeting the Khoos. Callan fell in love with Elizabeth Khoo, the daughter of this local family, a brave and wonderful woman. He then married Elizabeth and built his own family in Melaka; Hadrian is one of his direct descendants.
Callan’s talent was bizarre at first, and then they were amazed by it. Snakes are the symbols of dragons, wisdom, wealth, and even one of the sacred deities. The Parselmouth is considered a gift rather than the dark heritage to the Khoos. It wasn’t common for the Khoo family to have a Parselmouth family member, perhaps once in three generations. So, when Hadrian showed the talent, the family was in pride and ecstasy.
The discovery happened in a very normal summer afternoon when Hadrian was nine. He was staying at the Khoo manor in Melaka. After a thunderstorm, the young boy didn’t want to stay in the house anymore; he might inherit not only Callan’s Parselmouth ability but also the adventurous spirit. Damp and hot weather in the garden, he kept walking farther into the outskirts of a forest near the manor to his secret spot. He and his siblings had built a tree house there, with the help of the servants, of course. Despite the wetness, he climbed onto the treehouse, spending his time alone in nature. “What are you doing here all alone, child?” A voice of a being sounded from the branches; it was hard to recognize who was speaking at the moment. Hadrian sat up and alarmed. “Don’t be afraid; I’m here for fun, just like you,” the being said. With a cracking sound from a small branch, Hadrian pinpointed the being’s location, a triangular head of a large reticulated python, two black beads staring at him. “What do you want?” He said calmly. “Can you understand me?” The python was surprised and raised its voice. “Interesting, interesting.” It swung its head left and right, scanning Hadrian with its black eyes for one last time, and it crawled down from the tree. He never found the same python again.
The Parselmouth ability isn’t a secret in the Khoos, so Hadrian knew from his childhood that they have a Parselmouth ancestor. He loves listening to Callan’s story. It was that he hadn’t thought he was the one who inherited the ability.

Character Backstory:

Hadrian was born to Min-Chien Hsia and Alexandria Khoo. He is their second child, with an older sister, Daniella, and a younger brother, Emilian. The Hsia family is a renowned wizard family in Taiwan, and the Khoo is one of the wealthiest and most successful wizard families in Malaysia as well. The marriage of Min-Chien and Alexandria is considered more out of collaboration between families than love between them. They treat each other with respect but without the intimacy. Therefore, their main focus in running the family is their children’s education. The three siblings had been put into various talent trainings, such as piano, violin, painting, dancing, swimming, English, etc. Min-Chien and Alexandria wouldn’t force them into certain aspects. In the end, Hadrian loves swimming and the violin; these two become his lifelong hobbies.
From a young age, Hadrian is used to traveling. Taipei and Melaka are both home to him. The private tutor has been on his side even when he was in a different country. Due to his upbringing, he is proficient in Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka, English, and Bahasa Melayu.
Upon reaching the appropriate age for Tenūsa, Hadrian began his journey to the Isle of Divination. He had wonderful memories of the island. The island had sparked his interest in nature; furthermore, he started birdwatching and observing the ecosystem there. This had planted the seed for the future that he became a naturalist.
After graduation, Hadrian was unsure what to do for his next step, but he didn’t want to be tied up at home; he eventually started traveling around the world. Initially, he was just enjoying the sights and cultures in different countries; in the end, the birds from various places caught his eye, and he dived into ornithology. Since he comes from a resourceful family, he didn’t need to worry about money and a job; he still made use of his language skills; he translated English magical books into Malay.
Until he was 25 years old, he decided he should go back to Tenūsa and be a Dukun, utilizing his knowledge and experiences from his travel years.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Since Hadrian was a child, he was always fascinated by the view from the high places. That was a reason why he loves climbing trees. The young boy could secretly observe the working gardener and servants and find bird nests and insects on the trees.
When he was seven, a perfect summer afternoon, he sneaked out of the Khoo manor and into the outskirts of their large garden, finding an old banyan and climbing onto it. The sunshine dotted his fair face as he climbed, branch by branch. Yet in a split second, a sparrow flew by his side; he was distracted and slipped. Falling to the ground, Hadrian felt everything was like slow motion. Strangely, that wasn’t his illusion; his falling speed was so slow he didn’t even scratch any skin. At that moment, Alexandria was going out to the garden to find him, accidentally seeing his first instance of magic. She was happy that he had shown the magic talent.

Character Backstory: Ethan Young was born into the Young family, an ancient family originating in Northern Europe. His father was a celebrated auror, and his mother worked in the department for control of magical creatures. His life was set up to be amazing, as he was rich and the child of 2 famous ministry workers. Until, a couple months after Ethan's 3rd birthday, tragedy struck. Ethan's father had died. He was killed by the Muggle-Born murderer, Viliek Nevolin in after he attempted to protect a small child from him. This tragic event gave his mother a hate for Muggle Borns that would fuel her for the rest of her life. Ethan, once he was old enough to understand this was confused. Why hate all Muggle-Borns for the actions of one? Ethan began to read and read and found more evidence for Muggle-Borns and less for Purebloods. This infuriated his mother and led to a rift between them. However, he might learn something new about why his mother hates Muggle-borns... He was homeschooled and was friends with a kid named Rohan. He was (coincidently) Pureblood. Unfortunately, Rohan did not make it into Hogwarts, instead going to Ilvermorny due to a relation to an important American wizard. When I got my acceptance letter my mom told me I had to go to Diagon alley with her so she could make sure I don't become friends with Muggleborns. When I went, I became friends with Zio Richardson, and Anirudh Yellepeddi and (I met Anirudh at Diagon alley (Florence and Botts) we bonded over our love of books and quidditch. The first question my mom asked him was if he was pure blood. He wasn't, (He was a Half-Blood) but I am nice and did not care anyway, so we became best friends.) (Zio is a kid I met in quality quidditch supplies.) I really want to become a dragon scholar, because I am a fan of dragons, but would also like to be a quidditch player or a professor.
First Instance of Magic: Ethan's mom once tried to take away the multitude of Muggle items cluttering his room. This made Ethan very mad. How dare she? Suddenly, her clothes morphed into Muggle clothes! He was 8 years old. They got really mad and told me they were never going to buy me an owl when I get to Hogwarts because of it.
(Sorry for the confusion, it was not me who moved to America, it was Rohan. It was also a dragon, not a flag.)

STATUS: Pending, Ruckus, May 10
- There aren't any smaller wizarding schools in the UK. Maybe you can say Rohan moved away or was homeschooled?
- Also all of the characters you make up cannot be related to canon characters. So Rohan cannot be related to Wendelin the Weird.
- What age did Ethan experience his first instance of magic?
STATUS: Pending, Elena, May 21st
Thank you for making the edits requested! These are still needed in order to validate you :
- We would also need more information about his father's death.
- Your character is a Pureblood. Pureblood are generally homeschooled, or taught by a tutor. Similar to what Ruckus has highlighted above, he would not join a "small community wizarding school".
- On the same note, your character is too young to attend Ilvermorny. Additionally, if your character moved, we would need a. reasons and b. mention of him moving back to the United Kingdom! Please also mention the ages at which he moved, so that we can check his first instance of magic occured in the UK.
- Why would a Welsh flag fly above him if he's in America?
- Your backstory and FIOM need to be the same in your application and in your encyclopedia. Please copy paste it once you've made the edits!
- We don't allow colours in trunks, please remove it!
STATUS: Pending, Elena, June 3rd
Thank you for making the edits requested! Apologies for the confusion with his friend, it is clear now! These edits are still needed in order to validate you :
- Dragons would (sadly) not fly around in Great Britain! Please remove this mention from your backstory. His love for dragons could come from pictured books?
- One last thing, your backstory and FIOM need to be the exact same in your encyclopedia and in your application, here I can see there are more info on your encyclopedia than in your application, so please make sure they match!

Yawan Letre was born on September 7 in a small house in the village and lived there with her two siblings and parents until she was 11—when she received her letter to Hogwarts, the family moved to a high-rise in London.
As was so often the case, Yawan was the simplest of the three children.
She didn’t need much.
It always seemed to her that this was the reason she was so often overlooked.
Yet she was the only one of the three siblings with magical abilities.
Although her family was pure-blood, Sebastian and Charlotte were not; they were Squibs.
Rosaliene loved each of her children equally. Yawan knew that.
But why did it sometimes seem different to her?

first encounter with magic: *°.

Yawan was nine when she tiptoed barefoot across the large sandstone tiles of the little cottage. The garden had always been her favorite spot here at the house.
She ignored her mother’s worried voice, which was hysterically ringing in her ear.
Yawan knew that her mother and father had been arguing more often lately. Even though they tried to do it secretly so as not to wake Sebastian, Yawan, and little Charlotte. But with Dan, it was the same—only whispered.
It was about her.
“But understand, Nathaniel!”
it shrieked again. Nathaniel crossed his arms.
“Yawan should have shown us some of her magic by now,” he said again and sat down resignedly on a garden chair. “If she even has any,” he muttered.
Lost in thought, Yawan walked out through the little garden gate and made her way to the small river that flowed into an even smaller pond full of frogs.
She already knew how the argument would go.
Rosaliene would accuse Nathaniel again of working too long, and he would reply that as an Auror, one simply can’t always be at home, and that life won’t wait for him.
Then Mother would say again that he was missing out on her children’s lives, and he would storm back into the house.
Yawan waded into the shallow little lake.
It was always the same. It was mean. She didn’t want to be a little girl like her siblings; she wanted to be grown up.
A wave of anger washed over her, and she glared at the sparkling water.
Why did she always have to be the scapegoat and take the blame for all the family’s problems? She already blamed herself for not being able to perform any magic yet. She didn’t want to be constantly reminded, like Sebastian, that she didn’t own a wand or would never be able to fly lazily on a broomstick.
She sank. The air was forced out of her lungs as she plunged into deep water. The ground beneath her feet was gone, and she fell like a stone.
What the—… the water enveloped her body and slid lightly around her like a snake. She had to hold her breath before the ground beneath her, like a vehicle, jolted back into place under her feet, and she was now standing there soaking wet, her knees in the water. Confused and trembling, she stood on her toes, which had a firm grip on the muddy ground. How could she…? Was that…? Was that magic? Had she just made the little lake deeper?

Name of Ability or Race/Talent that you Are Applying for: (One-third Veela) Veela
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it): Yawan would be the perfect candidate for a one-third Veela: since her mother would be a half-Veela and her grandmother a full-blooded Veela. It would suit Yawan perfectly, since (as I mentioned in my entry) my two siblings (Sebastian and Charlotté) are Squibs but might have some Veela blood in them, so it wouldn’t be quite as scandalous for her extended family.
Sebastian—doesn’t need to have any
Charlotté—would be a wish on my part
Yawan exudes self-confidence and elegance.
Since her mother is half-Veela, she would be one-third and would possess only the allure and beautiful transience of a Veela.
Yawan’s appearance would also fit the image of a Veela.
Precisely because her background isn’t the main focus, and is only hinted at in subtle ways, her heritage would come across as very believable.
Yawan possesses a natural presence—as mentioned earlier—that doesn’t feel forced or artificial, and would reflect that bit of Veela blood. All these factors combine to ensure her aura isn’t over-the-top or overwhelming. It would simply add more personality to her character.
She remains a fully developed character whose unique traits would naturally arise from her history and not be artificially added. It would represent her and make me very happy as
In general, Yawan wouldn’t stand out as a Veela.
It would also build on her character without having to change anything.

Lucian’s father Wilson, was a muggle born, though he was later adopted by a powerful pure blood family becuse they wanted to give him a proper magical guidance. His adoptive father owned several companies and also had a biological son of his own,Wilson’s brother.
In an effort to expand their influence, a notorious mob family arranged a business deal through marriage. Wilson was forced to marry their only daughter, Clarah. It was never a love bond but a transaction meant to strengthen both families.
After the wedding, Wilson moved out, and shortly after, Lucian was born. The household was anything but peaceful. Constant arguments and debates filled the space. and even as a child, Lucian could feel that something was deeply wrong. Their relationship never felt right to him.
Clarah, in particular, begun to dislike Lucian. To her, he was a constant reminder of Wilson and the life she never wanted. Over time, her cold and toxic behaviour slowly worn Lucian down.
Eventually, Clarah remarried another man and left Lucian behind without a hesitation.
When Wilson later found out that Lucian had magical abilities, he made a pretty difficult decision wanting his son to grow up in a place where he would be understood so he sent Lucian to live with his brother’s pure blood family.
There, Lucian finally found a sense of belonging, and it was also where he met his cousin and also his dear friend, Marcella Di Angelo
Still, he never completely left his old life behind. Lucian often returns to visit his father during school holidays.

On a random Tuesday, at just eight years old, he stood trembling with fury as his mom screamed at him. He tried his best not to freak out even as her anger pressed in on him.
When she raised her hand to strike him, something in him snapped.
“SILENCE FROM YOU… MOM!”
He shouted over her, his voice shaking with fear. He thrust his hands forward, pure instinct, wild and uncontrolled.
Her throat froze.
Her voice cut off instantly, as if the sound itself had been taken from her.
From that day on, she lost her voice

Reasons for pending:
-Remove colors from trunk.
- The history needs to be at least 220 words. Please elaborate more on his life before Hogwarts.
- Please clarify the mother’s outcome following the incident, including CPS or any legal consequences.
- Elaborate on the legal process through which Cassian's family obtained guardianship or adoption of the character.
- Please clarify how this accidental magical incident was handled under secrecy regulations, given that it occurred in a Muggle school setting. Include what measures were taken to ensure non-magical witnesses did not become aware of magic.
STATUS: Pending, Akinyi, May 20th, 2026
- What blood-status is Lucian’s father, Wilson? All that is stated is that he is human. Assuming he is muggle, why was he adopted by a pureblood family? Please clarify this.
STATUS: Pending, Elena, June 3rd
- Your character is a muggleborn, that means his parents must both be muggles! Here you state his father is also a muggleborn. This would make him a halfblood. Please edit this part out of your backstory!
- Additionally, please precise the blood status of the mother, and make sure it fits your character's blood status (muggleborn, so both parents need to be muggles). If you want your character's blood status to be changed, let me know.
- "because they wanted to give him powerful magical guidance" is not a sufficient reason for his father to be adopted into a pureblood family. In fact, a muggle or a muggleborn would not be able to get adopted in a pureblood family, as wizarding and muggle cultures are different cultures! Please edit this part out of your backstory.
- your first instance of magic is intentional (screaming 'silence mom' / wanting her to stop speaking, and magic making the result happen). a FIOM needs to be unintentional! please edit it.
- make sure to report your edits to your encyclopedia to make sure your backstory and FIOM are the exact same!

Alex doesn't made a lot of friends back at his old school though he always remembers that quality matters more than quantity. The friends that he made understood him and of course vice versa. It's not easy though he managed; with a few hobbies and interests exchanged. He's quite fond of people who adores animals as much as him.
Alex has always tries to understand other people's perspectives; that way he can understand better on why one's behaving in such manners. Both of his parents have always understand, long ago, that Alex is a complex boy to understand; though they never bragged about who he is. They accept and loves him for who he is, no matter how many times they have to listen to Alex's presentation on the animals he love.
Alex lived with his Mother, Eliz (Ashford) Kavanagh and his father, Joseph Kavanagh. His mother came from a pureblood family whereas his father is a muggleborn. They all live in a simple, two storey house in Liverpool. Alex have always love the quiet neighbourhood he lives in.
Joseph Kavanagh work in the muggle world as a barrister, drowning in work day and night though his heart will always return to his family. Eliz Kavanagh on the other hand is an Astronomer, a great one; Alex always thought. He'll always looks up to both of his parents.

It all happened when Alex was just 8 years old. He listened and watched his father taught him how to solve multiplications though he were already overstimulated by the heavy rain that poured outside of their house. He did tried to solved the given questions though it was futile, he accidentally cracked a window glass of the sitting room. Alex doesn't quite understand what had happened to him until his mother gave him an explanation for the event.

Character Backstory:ReducioArkady, despite being born to a pureblooded witch and a muggle-born wizard, was raised without an ounce of magic in his life. The story of his conception was an embarrassing affair. His father had been long sent away from home to study all sorts of unholy malarky, only returning at 17 to break the news. He had fathered a son. Arkady's grandfather refused to have another child corrupted by his good-for-nothing son, he took the burden off their hands. The couple eloped and never turned back. Brought up by his muggle grandfather, a formidable man and devoted Catholic priest, Arek spent his early years in rural Poland, Olchowiec, serving the church. He was a bell ringer, a choir boy, an altar boy, you name it. His life revolved around this tiny community, and the Lord above. It was a sanctuary as much as it was a prison.
When the boy discovered he was able to turn wine into something more to his 10-year-old tastes (apple juice), he was mortified, pleading for forgiveness. Had he forsaken God or performed a miracle? His grandfather was displeased that his grandson turned out the same as his own offspring, unleashing a cold midwinter over their already taut relationship. In spite of the man’s efforts in keeping Arkady under his roof, letting him go became easier than living with him. He had grown to be a sight the old man could no longer bear. The boy attended the Durmstrang Institute for the first five years of his education.
He despised it there, despite possessing a natural affinity for Martial Magic. He was a docile creature, more fascinated by the intricate inner-workings of Charms and Transfiguration. It was beautifully logical and intuitive, intertwining with science and faith. He was looked down upon by his peers and educators: a waste of potential. Every discipline taught at the Institute seemed so violent, so aggressive. However much he adored his magical talents, Arek could not escape the guilt that bled into every spell he cast. Guilt for disobeying his grandfather, the church that raised him, God himself. The young man had a complex relationship with religion, yearning for that feeling of comfort and beauty of religion, but finding it more painful than anything more often than not.
When given the opportunity to, Arkady was more than eager to uproot his life in Germany to attend a different school – something as far away as possible. Studying at Ilvermorny, for a few blessed years, Arek was able to foster his love for magic and grow, slowly learning to ease into the way he was made. In his older years, he found himself gravitated to men as well as women, burning with shame, and yet he was met with acceptance. At the core of Ilvermorny’s philosophy was community and transformation; he supposed that is why he trained in Transfiguration mainly.
Of course such stability must be short-lived for an unlucky man such as himself. Upon returning to Poland after graduation, Arkady found himself entangled in a tragic accident. On an isolated misty road, too distant from humanity to get any signal or happen upon a good Samaritan, a car had swerved dodging a small animal and crumpled against the trunk of a tree. Arek had rushed outside to find the source of the sickening crunch, finding a man folded in against the protruding metal and glass. In his panic, the young man realised he was no Healer. He could heal minor abrasions, but something so complex? No. Not without fucking things up worse. All he knew was Transfiguration - inside and out. His hands trembled over the rapidly withering man, his breath growing fainter with each passing second. Gamp’s Law forbade the transfiguration of body parts. Arkady’s own hubris convinced him that he could.
After the accident, Arkady roamed aimlessly for a sense of purpose. A way to wash the blood from his hands and make something of all this ugliness he had pent up inside. He had tried everything; returning to the parish for half a year, swallowing down guilt and shame as the church's groundskeeper. Eventually, he knew he could no longer avoid it. His adoration for the magical arts. He set his sights instead on refining that primeval raw skill that he had tried to use that night. Training as a Healer in Berlin for a few years before returning to New York to research in Transfiguration, magic was to Arkady a form of worship. A glimpse of divinity for such a lowly mortal man.
When he was offered the position of Headmaster, he couldn't believe it. Not one bit. He felt he'd probably be an interim professor until someone more suitable for the role was found. After all, such a mild-mannered fellow could hardly be expected to assume a position of authority, not just over these students, but over the entire North American wizarding community. He was coaxed into the role my doting colleagues who vouched for his potential and - there he was. Slipping easily into the role as if it were made for him, Arkady, at his core, has always been a simple and kind man.
First Instance of Magic:ReducioDuring his congregation's regular Eucharist, he stepped up to his grandfather to take the blood and body of Christ. He avoided the man's reproachful gaze as he shuffled on the spot. In his wisened ten years of age, he could not understand how anyone could stand the taste of wine. He balked at the idea of talking a sip, looking at his shoes. His grandfather hissed at him to 'hurry up, boy' and, swallowing his discomfort, Arkady reached for the goblet. As he touched the chalice, the red liquid clouded and shifted colour, from an opaque burgundy to clear pale yellow. Arkady had hardly noticed until he took a sip, tasting sweet apple. His grandfather staggered in shock, a deep scowl etching lines on his mangled face. Heresy.

One day while Liam's mother went for work she told Liam to be at home and be a good boy her regular instructions but as she went he had an idea.. His mother had told him to never get near the pensive in his mother's room and as she trusted him didn't put any anti- theft charms, so he decided to look inside. Not knowing what it was at that time he thought that it was nothing other than silvery water and his mother was being overly dramatic with it so he looked inside. The room the pensive took him in was a hospital as he saw his father in the bed resting, one of the doctors told someone next to him he turned and gasped was his mother. He did not realize how he'd gotten there in there and how his father was lying there. Mom! He shouted trying to draw her attention, she didn't reply but instead tears flooded her eyes as his father told him " I hope our son is a metamorphis like me, it has been passed down in our family for a long time and please tell him that I love his very much." and with those words he left the world and Liam screamed "No father nooo!" and then he was ejected out of the pensive, when he looked in the mirror he gasped, he had his father's blonde hair and not his mother's brown hair and he cried to himself until his mother came. When she did he demanded an explanation of what happened and she said in tears " I never told you that as I knew it would hurt you for that was his final words." Then his mother noticed his blonde hair "Goodness you have his metamorphises powers too." At that time he demanded an explanation and his mother told him " Okay son so here is the truth, the thing you looked into was not silvery water it was a pensive, something that will allow someone to relieve their memories and your father's family all had this special skill called "metamorphis" This allowed them to change their appearance at will, and your father never saw you using metamorphis until he died your eye's color kept changing and I thought it was natural and so did your father whenever you had strong emotions it just.. and then we took you to a doctor and the doctor was not so good as he said that It'll disappear after a while and we had a hope it would and it did for a while when your father died and then it started again! Oh I'm so sorrry she said as she burst into tears hugging him. I never meant to keep this away from you" He couldn't believe it and took some time to sit in nature when his mind was clear he came to his mother and told her, mom I forgive you and he hugged her and then went to bed it was a long day after all!

Character Backstory: Emmy lived with her mother Julie Waverly, and father Gavin Waverly. She also has a younger brother named Lewis Waverly, who is 10 and is mentally ill after an accident that damaged a section in his brain. He was riding a scooter and hit the gate at the end of the road awfully hard. As a result, he obtained a brain condition also known as psychosomatic aphasia. It was so severe that Lewis had to stay in the hospital for months, but he has been given the proper treatment. Since his speech and understanding is affected, in-home therapists take care of Lewis inside of the Waverly house. She also lived with a black housecat, named Boots. Emmy lived a very quiet and independent life, as her parents busied themselves for work. She usually hung out with her half blood or muggle born friends or her brother, making her more eager for social interaction. Emmy grew up with no pure-blood friends, aside from Isabella, who she had her first instance of magic with. Being with her friends and people she is familiar with is what keeps her the most happy. In addition to that, her parents studied Muggles, and as a result, most of her friends were either Muggle-born or half-bloods. She would always make friends with the children of the people that Julie would bring home to interview. At first, she was excited to come to Hogwarts, but the idea of having to leave all of her friends did not sit well with Emmy. She didn't want to leave her comfort zone, and making new friends was going to be a little hard, especially since they were all pure-bloods like her. All of her friends were going to Ilvermony together, because they thought it was a better suited environment for them. Emmy had begged her parents to let her go to Ilvermony with her friends, but they insisted she went to Hogwarts, as both of them had went there as a child.
First Instance of Magic: 7 year old Emalyn was playing in her friend Isabella's (Pure Blood) backyard. It was very plain, with dead, yellow grasses. Isabella was very upset and wanted a more colorful backyard. Without even knowing, Emalyn started walking around and started leaving a few flowers in her path. It soon stopped, but it was enough to keep Isabella happy. Emalyn and Isabella are still very close friends.

- Thank you for the edits! One final clarification: after discussion with the Index team, it was determined that magic could indeed heal Lewis’ brain injury, which would therefore not lead to aphasia. An alternative explanation would be psychosomatic aphasia. While rare, this explains a traumatic event leading to the aphasia that Lewis experienced. I request that you edit this clarification in, or you may owl me and we can figure out some alternative plausible explanations.

Madeline's mother was a pure-blood witch, while her father was Muggle-born. They are practically ambitious.
Madeline was born and raised in London, though Muggles often found her strange to talk to. They said she invented absurd creatures, such as counting colorful sheep to help her sleep, which they dismissed as merely dyed sheep. She also talked to the dust bunnies under her bed, ate raw sugar or powdered chocolate straight from the jar, used smoke as perfume, and stared at the ceiling as though it were the most beautiful thing in the world.
Madeline was full of social experiments when she was a child. She discovered that she could test her mother’s patience by deliberately giving wrong answers while learning to count, and she did the same with the alphabet. Her parents were always busy with work, so they hired both a babysitter and a homeschool teacher for her.
Madeline was homeschooled throughout her childhood. Even her teacher and babysitter found her strange because she would suddenly talk about dancing blue rats or whatever eccentricities she happened to invent.
Blue rats were her specialty, and she claimed to feed them blue cheese under her bed. She said they were also friends with the dust bunnies. She even kept cockroaches in a jar and fed them cockroach clusters, but eventually found them uninteresting, so she buried the jar in the backyard while the cockroach was still alive.
Although Mr. Louis was simply a normal stuffed polar bear and never spoke, Madeline often claimed to know what he was saying or commenting on. She would also place Mr. Louis in the refrigerator every summer because he liked it, or bury him under piles of snow during winter. Her parents dismissed all of this as nothing more than a child’s imagination.
As an only child, Madeline spent most of her time alone with her toys, with no siblings to keep her company. Her father was often busy working as a Healer at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, while her mother worked as an Obliviator at the Ministry of Magic.

Madeline's first accidental use of magic happened when Madeline was seven years old. It was a lonely afternoon in May. The babysitter was preparing lunch in the kitchen while Madeline played in the backyard. She spotted a blue rat again, a nonexistent rat, perched on a tree branch. Her parents had always told her about magic, though she had never actually seen it herself. They said magic was not allowed to be performed in the Muggle world, especially in front of Muggles like her homeschool teacher and babysitter.
She watched the blue rat dancing ballet on the branch. Madeline’s eyes sparkled with delight, and she climbed the tree while the babysitter busied herself searching for the paprika she had forgotten to prepare. Madeline reached the branch and stretched out her hand to catch the blue rat. However, the moment her palm touched the rough bark of the tree, fire erupted from it. She quickly pulled her hand away, but the flames spread just as fast.
The babysitter noticed something burning in the backyard and immediately rushed outside. She found Madeline still perched on the branch, watching the burning tree as though it were a piece of art in a museum. Horrified, the babysitter quickly pulled Madeline down from the tree and called the firefighters.
The Muggles were confused about what had happened. There were no matches at the scene, so the child could not have been playing with fire. However, the Ministry of Magic provided an explanation for the incident. Madeline’s mother was relieved to learn that her daughter was not a Squib.

Born and grew up
in the French muggle town; Lyon.
His mother, Clara Auclair,
was against the pure-blood traditions,
while his father, Gabriel Auclair,
was with it. Not strict I suppose—but
more so he honored the idea,
but due to being love-struck ass hell with
his wife, he followed through. During his time at
the muggle school, he was exceptually
intellegent than most kids his age.
Goodness, his father couldn't take it anymore.
Who would when this child
specifically would build random things using
items around the household? Other than that, he was quite the popular kid. He had a let's say—gravitational personality. He'd make friends easily. Talk to any type of person with ease. He was told to be very handsome most of the times. Of course, kids this age become love stricken almost easily. He had quite the aura. Chatt made others laugh easily. But, now—Chatt might be the most excessive guy you'd find. But you never met his father. Goodness. His father was quite the eye-candy! Anyways this isn't about his father!! Not only was he popular due to his charm—but he was incredibly smart! This made more kids rely on him more often. Homeworks? Exams? Projects? Chatt, with his intellectual charm can handle any of that!
His parents both worry if this could be
magic—or literally just him. So much so, he was ready to take classes in the so called
school of Beuxbaton.
His mother and father would tell him their
experience and from Chatt, well he was kinda
bored...
All was well. Till all fell apart. His mother died due to the Dragon Pox, she was affected when Chatt was just was merely an 8 year old boy. After countless of cures and treatments in St. Mungo, she finally passed by. His father could not bear it. After this unfortunate incident, he and his father moved to England to start anew. His father homeschooled him, taught him everything about the wizarding world. Which is why he is knowledgable in both the muggle-world through experience, and the wizarding world through his fathers stories.

It has been 5 months after his Mothers death, 2 weeks after moving into England. 10-year-old Chatt and his father were outside as his child requested, his father was still new to the muggle-world, why is he still in the Muggle-world though..? Well, this so-called 'honoring the Pure-Blooded code' guy was too into his late wife, he'd thought he'd still grant her wishes to live on the muggle world. Thought they'd have some fun, though...a little too much. They were out on the park, bonding when, Chatt ran off to play with the other kids. His father didn't pay no mind to it, but when he just turned his back around Chatt was arguing with someone, how kids shout and about, ready to interfere, that's when it happened.
A muggle kid, asked why he has no mother as he heard from rumours from adults..Well I'd say..this child should mind his own business. Also the adults! But that was Chatt's breaking point. All of the sudden, sand was thrown into the boys face, he'd cry and wail, Chatt was surprised, but also amused. He deserved it anyways..his father promised the Ministry that this wouldn't happen again....well...He might not have anger-issues but this boy just experienced his mothers death. After the series of events, his father best decided to go back to the wizarding world for safety. Well I'll be damned.

STATUS: Pending, Kasem, 16 May
Reason for Pending:
1. Backstory. Your backstory here in index, needs to match your backstory in your ency (copy paste basically) at the time of indexing.
2. FIOM. I may be a bit confused but what do you mean by "the first time it happened" in this instance? FIOM is a singular first time magic and there is only one of those before Hogwarts. If you meant multiple instances of magic for later on before being enrolled, please change it, if not feel free to let me know in an owl. But I would recommend for clarity purposes to reword that a bit.
