Healer Internship
The Program
The Healer Internship Program was established September 1st, 2021, by Nurse Kelsey Brumby. Fliers with information on the program had been posted on the school bulletin board as well as in the Hospital Wing, inviting students to take part in a learning opportunity where they would gain practical experience in healing.
The internship program had previously been shut down, but was now being revived with some changes. Nurse McLoughlin would explain to curious students that they would be allowed to assist in healing minor wounds and ailments. They would not be learning any new spells, would not be allowed on every case, and would be required to be supervised while participating in the internship. For students still interested, they just needed to sign up in the book on the desk and show up to volunteer when they had the time.
What Can I Do?
As a healing intern, your character is volunteering their free time to help out in the hospital wing. People who disrespect the position or patients will be removed from the internship IC and/or given detention. You can always contact me to ask for godmodding permission or any questions you might have about what is allowed.
You may:You may not:
- Say that you volunteer in the hospital wing during your free time
- Say that you have practical/ hands-on healing experience
- Perform healing spells on or give potions/balms to minorly wounded students in the hospital wing under supervision
- Perform healing spells/administer potions in the hospital wing without supervision
- Say that you know any more healing spells/potions than what is already in your trunk
- Take any potions or balms from the nurse's station without express permission
- Attempt to heal major wounds/ailments

- You may quit at any time, please send me an owl so you can be removed from the list. If you ask to be removed from the list or are removed from index, please reapply if you wish to join the internship again.
- There are IC rules that you must follow, or you will be removed from the internship. If you wish to go through with this plot, please contact me first.

Why does your character want to join the healer internship? (25 word minimum): As someone who really enjoys the presence of Nancy, he'd like to learn to 'heal' people under her care. On the off shoot, he also wants to learn how to better tend to people's care. His own father was not a great person to have as a nurse, because if he were to ask where the femur was, he'd probably tell Clark it's a monkey and dismiss the question. He wishes for a better education of the healing arts.

Why does your character want to join the healer internship?: Emma is scared to death of her family members dying after her grandfather died of a heart attack over the summer between her third and fourth year. She's been reassured that there was nothing she could do but she wants to learn everything and anything about healing to ensure that she has the skills to jump in if needed and hopefully have a better outcome.

Why does your character want to join the healer internship?: Eonaria was quite disappointed at the cancellation of the healers’ internship last year shortly after she joined, and hearing that it is getting continued again, she is very excited. Eonaria thinks healing is a very useful branch of magic to learn, especially now that she has joined the duelling team.

Why does your character want to join the healer internship? (25 word minimum):
While Opeila never aspired to become a healer after school, she loved the years of being an intern. At first it helped her when she struggled with lack of purpose in her earlier years and later she noticed how much she learned from it as well. She is not a stranger to danger and fighting, but injuries used to make her feel helpless.
Not anymore. After holding a quiet grudge as well as avoiding the last nurse and hospital wing as much as possible, she does not hesitate for a second to sign up again for her final year.

Kaitlyn shyly realized within her second year a desire to help others as well as she possibly could. She has no idea if she actually wants to be a healer, but she's keen to learn and try under the supervision of the Hospital Wing if she's allowed to do so. She'd welcome the challenge of the healer internship and would be forever grateful for the opportunity.
