• What's one of their best memories at Hogwarts?

When @Colin McCoire told her, and @Charlie Grace that he was a werewolf. Not only did I enjoy writing it, but it was a really important thread in the there relationship. And I think it would / is something she looks back on fondly. Thread link

• How about one of the worst ones?

Although it was a fun thread with good people, the time she almost drowned in the lake and @Kim Sato had to save her. Thread link (even though its abandoned, mostly cuz I ran out of motivation for Quinn. (Did come back to her, I missed her )

• Top 3 hangouts when visiting Hogsmeade?

She wont admit it, but shes gone plenty of times. She like's Zonkos, to get some supplies to pull pranks. And walking around Muggle Artifacts is fun from time to time. Most of all she likes hanging out in the main square, to do people watching. Hogsmead has lots of interesting people.

• Favorite shop in Diagon Alley?

Major league tie between Flourish and Blotts, & Magical Menagerie. She loves to read, and Flourish has plenty off books to do so. And she can shop for Bear to make it so he lives life like a king in magical menagerie. She also loves looking at all the baby kitties, makes her miss when Bear was that size.

• Do they have a favorite ball? (either theme, or something significant happened)

nope, dont think shes been to enough or even one for that matter.

• Has their time at Hogwarts made them more extroverted or introverted?

1000% more extroverted, at first I made Quinn shy and reserved. I quickly found out that was not fun to write for me. Thankfully she made friends that got her out of that shell. And she is very open and extroverted.

• If they were sorted in a different house, which would it be?

Ravenclaw. Part of me wants to say Gryffindor, but I think she would be really at home in that tower. She could be wise, and they stereotypically read a lot. She could still be just as adventurous in Ravenclaw. But she still would blend in with Gryffindor a lot. With her loyalty.

• Have they dated anyone? Why or why not?

Nope. I just haven't written her with a plot like that. though something is being planed. I also think in her first year she was focusing on school and friends. Then in summer she was grieving. But now she is ready to try to date.

• Where will they live after graduation?

I think she would make a really nice home in Hogsmeade, surrounded by witches/wizards. Where she will be able to use magic without having to hide it. I think that would just be the best place for her. but... (Next question.) if I go that way she will not be home 100% of the year.

• Which job(s) are they considering?

I think Quinn could be an Auror, right now she is not thinking about much. She wants something where she can explore and see the world. Once she starts COMC, I think she will find that working with magical creatures will be great for her. I could also see her becoming a Hogwarts professor. But we will see. It all will come down to how she develops over the years, as she still has a while to graduate. And I don't know what events will happen that may change her mind about what she wants to do.

• What would their "Good Ending" (favorable development) look like?

The good ending for her will be living a quaint life in Hogsmead, with whomever she ends up with, or if anyone. She will have a cat, a cute home. House gusts would be free to visit when she is there, for the most part she will be out in the world. Doing what her heart calls her to. Using any means of transportation, she wont be picky. She would be meeting new people, finding new places. And perhaps if she gets the chance she would ride a dragon.

• How about the "Bad Ending" (aka villain origin story)?

I don't ever see Quinn becoming a bad guy, to many chances of being locked up in Azakaban. How would she go on adventures if she was locked up? I think if she where to be a villain, she would use her metamorph ability to her advantage, in seventh year she would be able to change her full appearance, not just into someone she knows. (If I read it right) So she would really use that. Come up with an alias, and really I don't know what she would do. I don't know what a Bad ending for her would be. She's not thinking much about it, im not thinking much about it. Just kinda going with the flow, and seeing where it take us.

I like to have Quinn kinda develop herself if that makes scene? I feel like if I try to plan to much ill get burned out again. And I don't want that to happen. As I love writing as Quinn, I think she's great. And in a way she has been developing herself. As she is currently far from what I first had her as, in the best way possible.

Note: Archer is still quite young, but I do have him planned out up til his seventh year, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Of course, all questions are still answered from an IC perspective, as some of these Archer himself still does not know. If there is an OOC comment, it would be italicised.

• What's one of their best memories at Hogwarts?

The dreamlike night Archer enjoyed with a girl he is yet to learn the name of. Far more times than expected, he has found himself wondering in the middle of sleepless nights, if that girl with cat eyes would be waiting for him when he returned to the rehearsal room. She wouldn't, not that night at least.

• How about one of the worst ones?

Despite Archer's desperate attempts to forget the events of this thread, Matthew Campbell's scornful words and patronising "Archie" keeps taunting him. The cruel mistress of fate would later cause them to meet again in, ironically, the Rehearsal Room, where he had enjoyed one of the best nights of his life.

• Top 3 hangouts when visiting Hogsmeade?

Surprisingly, Archer had never visited Hogsmeade. As a child, his parents had mostly kept him within their vast estate, and he was never much a rulebreaker at Hogwarts.

While to above statement is true, I don't have a fake form rn, so I cannot reference back to any possibilities.

• Favorite shop in Diagon Alley?

For Archer, resident bibliophile and lover of bibliosmia (the aroma of old books and yes, I looked up that word lol) nothing would rival the whimsy and charm of Flourish and Blotts. If not for his parent's reminders, he could lose the day in a book shop, and probably spend all of the fortune he would inherit.

• Do they have a favorite ball? (either theme, or something significant happened)

Archer has never attended a ball at Hogwarts, and ones outside were mostly muddied by Arianna Swann's existence.

• Has their time at Hogwarts made them more extroverted or introverted?

Preferring old books and maps much more to people, Archer had never regarded himself as an extrovert. Disliking conversations, unless academic, Archer finds most interactions with others draining and does not walk the extra mile to put himself out into the world, against all the other students of Hogwarts.

• If they were sorted in a different house, which would it be?

Archer has always thought of himself as a Ravenclaw, or if you must, a Gryffindor as his mother suggested, and it was incredibly surprising when he was sorted into Slytherin.

Archer's sorting into Slytherin was no mistake on my part. He would grow into an incredibly ambitious young man, which would eventually become is fatal flaw. There will be events in his future that will significantly darken him and make him far more cunning and willing to do anything to succeed than he is now.

• Have they dated anyone? Why or why not?

No, and to the current Archer, he would never be bound by such a petty thing.

That is untrue. While much further in his future, a relationship with Arianna Swann has been planned.

• Where will they live after graduation?

The manor the Duncan parents had bought on the Isle of Skye is the only home Archer currently knows. He would not give it up for anything, for it contained the piano his mother always played, the desk his father always wrote at, the fireplace Scout always snuggled up against, the wild mountains beyond he always loved.

While the current Archer would like to write his own observations on whatever he is experimenting with in the comfort of his home, the future Acher, while still permanently residing on teh Isle of Skye, would much rather follow his mother's footsteps of adventure. However, his childhood home still means the world to him, especially after his second year, when his father and him moved to the Duncan manor in Edinburgh following his mother's death.

• Which job(s) are they considering?

Archer had always firmly believed he would become a scholar, whether of Charms, History of Magic, or the magical equivalent of natural sciences, he is still unsure, but he hopes it can combine his father's writing and his mother's research.

As I've said, this is not the actual path Archer would take. He would become an explorer. I am aware that this is a job of very limited skill level on HIO, but he hopes to match his mother's calibre. Not only would he be an explorer, he would also be a cartographer and researcher.

• What would their "Good Ending" (favorable development) look like?

Archer's whole storyline heavily relies on a "redemption arc" during his fourth/fifth year. After his mother's death, Archer's whole world shattered apart. He dwells on the death too much and sometimes lashes out, developing anger he had never experienced before. He became afraid of himself and of the world. While he might seem dangerous or plain angry on the surface, below he is nothing but a scared little boy, lost in the world. However, he would mature past that and learn to move on. While his mother would never be forgotten, she would go on to empower him to follow his dreams, instead of constantly bring him back into grief and sadness. His arc, in this case, would be flat, then a sudden, steep drop, with a steady rise.

• How about the "Bad Ending" (aka villain origin story)?

I have just realised Archer could make the perfect villain. The innocent boy who turns "evil" after the death of a loved one. Cliche I know. The villain origin story would take the events of the above, but Archer would have never recovered from it. Instead of moving on and growing, he would let his emotions take over and forget about the goodness in life, drowning in his anger and misery instead. I am reminded by him of Anakin Skywalker, who started out as a perfectly noble boy, but whose love drawn him into the side of the Sith. I recall the scene when Anakin's mother dies, nad while Marguerite was most certainly not murdered, Archer does share some similar feelings as Anakin during that period of his life.

• What's one of their best memories at Hogwarts?

Probably the 2022 Midspring Celebration. Evelynn attended with Marshal and Ivy when they were at the height of their friendships. It was pretty much the only ball she attended with the intent to actually try to enjoy herself, and things didn't fall apart.

• How about one of the worst ones?

Having to return to school during the 2023-2024 school year following Ivy's death that summer. A close runner-up would be coming face to face with one of the hags (Marion) at their cabin in the Forbidden Forest alongside Lestrange, Santario, Bridget and Levi and having to flee as Collins nearly died.

• Top 3 hangouts when visiting Hogsmeade?

Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop, the Hog's Head (fewer obnoxious juniors and the surrounding conversations and patrons can be rather interesting), and Main Square (for some good ol' people watching—might be surprised what you can learn)

• Favorite shop in Diagon Alley?

Flourish and Blotts of course, but Quality Quidditch Supplies comes in as a close second.

• Do they have a favorite ball? (either theme, or something significant happened)

2022 Midspring Celebration as above; but the 2021 Blossom Ball was exceptionally well executed with clever theming and unique activities. Had she had the same dynamic with Marshal and Ivy during that year as she had the following, it would have easily been her favourite, the parts that she can remember, at least.

• Has their time at Hogwarts made them more extroverted or introverted?

It has certainly made Evelynn significantly more introverted.

• If they were sorted in a different house, which would it be?

Ravenclaw. Or possibly Slytherin. Arguments can be made for both. Definitely not Hufflepuff, though.

• Have they dated anyone? Why or why not?

No. Dating is a waste of time, first of all. Time that is better spent studying, practicing spells and potions, and preparing for tests. Second, however, personal relationships just give the enemy something to manipulate. It's a weakness that can be exploited. If you're invested in trying to solve a mystery or uncover an antagonist, you're only giving them ammunition and risking harm coming to those you love if you hold on to personal relationships.

• Where will they live after graduation?

I suppose time will have to tell. At this time, Evelynn is just trying to get through this year and obtain a respectable number of OWLs.

• Which job(s) are they considering?

(Carrying on from above) She's not even certain which career she'll end up pursuing. If she pursues one at all. Her goals have been significantly more near-sighted. Like surviving Hogwarts. And making sure no misfortune befalls her mother. At one time, the thought had occurred to her that she might have what it takes to seek being scouted for a professional Quidditch team, but that was never something she was pursuing, per se. Potioneering is also something she enjoys and is particularly good at. As is charms. She is also a bit of a natural investigator. Perhaps a PI.

• What would their "Good Ending" (favorable development) look like?

She returns to the path of the righteous, realizes that personal relationships aren't a weakness, but a strength and pursues a career as an Auror to put her varied talents to use for the good of the wizarding community.

• How about the "Bad Ending" (aka villain origin story)?

She continues down her current path, fearing personal connection and favouring isolation, suppressing her grief and turning it to apathy, allowing her moral compass to slip. On the decline of a slippery slope, she becomes an accomplished Hit-Witch and seeks opportunities to expand her power and mastery over magic so that she never has to be reliant on anyone else again. She may even concede to the temptation of researching necromancy, to prevent the past from repeating itself, and perhaps even try to undo that which had been done years prior.

• What's one of their best memories at Hogwarts?

Sereia's only been in Hogwarts for a few months, but she's rather enjoyed meeting some of the people here! If you were to ask her a favourite memory from her time at school (Tenūsa), then it would be sneaking into a friend's dorm past curfew. They played card games, talked about all sorts of drama, and occasionally hid from teachers trying to figure out who wasn't in their dorms for the night. An absolute thrill and one she wished she could live through again.

• How about one of the worst ones?

Again, only been at Hogwarts for a few months so nothing to say yet... Okay, maybe that one time someone Flipendo-ed a heap of her crystal balls and another brought dragon dung in. But! If we're talking about a bad memory from her time at Tenūsa, then it would definitely have to be a forest trip she took with her dukun once. They were hiking and she almost fell down the side of a hill before being caught by her dukun. Very scary. 10/10 would never hike again.

• Top 3 hangouts when visiting Hogsmeade?

Sereia actually hasn't visited Hogsmeade, yet! She briefly walked through it when she arrived to start working at Hogwarts, but she hasn't had the time to go see any of the places there. Maybe she'll have to find a staff member willing to show her around.

• Favorite shop in Diagon Alley?

When she was still living in Oxford, she occasionally visited the Apothecary shop for small items. Plus, her boyfriend used to be a potioneer, so she likes to bring something home for him from that shop. She hardly visits for any other reason.

• Do they have a favorite ball? (either theme, or something significant happened)

Haven't been to a Hogwarts ball, yet, so can't say much (this will change when the Spring Ball happens). If we're going to talk about balls she attended when she was younger, she has no favourites. They all felt the same and the memories blend together.

• Has their time at Hogwarts made them more extroverted or introverted?

Introverted. Gosh, these kids drain your energy so fast with some of their shenanigans. Time away from everyone to work and relax is very much enjoyed.

• If they were sorted in a different house, which would it be?

Wasn't a Hogwarts student as a child but she's staying in Slytherin for the meantime. If she had attended Hogwarts as a girl, she figures she might've ended up in Ravenclaw.

• Have they dated anyone? Why or why not?

Sereia's dated one person seriously and that is her boyfriend of seven years (Eric). Sereia and Eric were basically childhood best friends and neighbours back in New Zealand, so they spent a lot of time both during and outside of school. Before they became official, however, Sereia had a few close friends who asked her out, but she rejected them. Eric was just better.

• Where will they live after graduation?

After she graduated from Tenūsa, she went back home to New Zealand to work as her father's aide; her father worked as a statistician. When she turned twenty, she made the move with Eric to England as he got a study offer at Oxford University.

• Which job(s) are they considering?

Before being a professor, she was working in early childcare in England. Got multiple diplomas plus her medical training in CPR and basic medical aid so that she could qualify. That would also be the profession she would go back to if she leaves Hogwarts before retirement age. As much as she is enjoying the magical world, there's just not that many fields she could see herself working in the wizarding world.

• What would their "Good Ending" (favorable development) look like?

Being able to come to terms that, even though she wasn't born a Seer* like her father, that it doesn't make her any less of a Clairmont, nor does it discredit her efforts as a Divination teacher. She loves the subject and she did well in it as a girl even without the ability of Sight. It will be hard, but if she has to be the first to break stereotypes, then she will do so slowly and hopefully with her family (Eric and [REDACTED]) by her side. Maybe there will be a chance to reconcile with her parents, as well, since her mother also didn't expect having a magical daughter.

• How about the "Bad Ending" (aka villain origin story)?

Ignoring her parents and ignoring the need to reconcile her past. Lying about her Seer heritage to her students will not be a good look on her or on any of the Seer population because she will be considered a fraud. But she'll be too consumed in trying to fit the standard of a Clairmont heir being a Seer that she forgets that.

hmm, I think maybe a snowball fight I had with some people on the grounds, it was really intense but it was still awsome!

A lot of good trust worthy friends and a good well paying job!

Disliked by everyone, lives alone in a hut in a creepy forest.

• What's one of their best memories at Hogwarts?

Would it be disingenuous or just sad to say that in Piérre's eyes at least he's had few if no purely 'good' memories in Hogwarts that were not in some way tainted with some kind of bitterness, misfortune, or otherwise ungenuine feeling in the midst of the moment? The few memories he did have with even the smallest clutch of his friends (Pericles, Rafael, Evelynn, his brother, Valentin, and possibly a few others that I can't recall at the moment) have turned sour, and with those losses he has next to nothing left to cling to for the current moment. The happiest that he's been is when causing trouble that was somewhat appreciated... Moments like at the Spice Errand, or the time he drugged Romeo and Valentin with Amortentia, even despite the consequences of the latter thread. Oh and him getting Figaro always brings back warm and fuzzy feelings. Figaro is a good bengal that can do no wrong, of course.

Oddly enough, his 'happiest' moments seem to come from things that he views as being moments that cause chaos and disorder... but those always turn to despair and grief when he finally realizes how they damage the people he tries to bring joy to. He's not sure at this point how to find true happiness, and that revelation is starting to break him from the inside out.

• How about one of the worst ones?

There are a plethora of moments to pick from when it comes to regarding this question, but the worst memories in Piérre's mind--the ones that haunt him the most--include:

His brother leaving him suddenly for Durmstrang (a really old and cringy thread from forever ago that I am dredging up now despite my inner cringe alarms going off).

Meeting with the Mad Nurse

The Events of the 2020 Fall Masquerade and the subsequent followup Faust.

An outburst he had with his brother resulting in a temporary schism between them and the gradual 'death' of Romeo's wand.

And recent duels as well as a pair of threads with the 'Nurse' and in the Potion Storeroom that have all been taking a huge strain on his mental fortitude (these all being post his infection with the Hag Slug from Alec Mason in 2022... which he has passed along to Valentin and via Valentin into Romeo).

Fifth year has not been the year for Pi, sadly, and unfortunately for him it will only get more and more muddled and arguably worse as the ongoing plot to discover his biological father will only thicken and become something of a spectacle--at least in his own eyes. Still, he tries to put on a brave face, as it were... oddly uncharacteristic for him considering his nature. Others don't deserve to have to worry over him, after all. Not when other suffer so much more than he knows that he does.

• Top 3 hangouts when visiting Hogsmeade?

Piérre doesn't visit Hogsmeade all that frequently other than to just hang out, so I suppose that he enjoys the Main Square for the entertainment of people-watching, the Forest surrounding Hogsmeade because it's a nice place to walk around and sing to oneself while also enjoying the views, and Zonko's Joke Shop just to see if they've brought in anything interesting worth looking/ogling at and/or pocketing for... uh... scientific reasons, probably. You know how sticky fingers are, surely?

• Favorite shop in Diagon Alley?

Again, not a huge fan of Diagon Alley is Piérre, really... but he does like to people-watch a few locations, primarily the locations in and around Knockturn Alley and Ollivander's. There's something magical about watching the young ones get their first wands... enthralling, even. It's something that Piérre watches with bittersweetness as he reflects on his own experiences; what has been and what could have been... and what could have been if he had never been discovered to be magic or if he had not been magical at all...

• Do they have a favorite ball? (either theme, or something significant happened)

Piérre's happiest memory in a ball is the Spring 2020 ball with the Mosps where Piérre met Philipe (and then got stung by Philipe, but we don't talk about that part). It was a fun ball in general for him before he was irrevocably traumatized by just about everything else.

His favorite ball in recent times was his own in the Fall of 2022 which he helped to manage (and I OOC was part of the committee of, so I may be biased). He and his brother actually worked together to fend off a blood-mad Hag Doll that had tried to kill Romeo after preying upon a younger student. He and his brother worked together for once... and despite some sad failures, Piérre felt like he was being useful and somewhat wanted in a weird way...

• Has their time at Hogwarts made them more extroverted or introverted?

Piérre has always yearned to be an extrovert, and that is his nature. However, with himself feeling that he is generally unwanted by the rest of the school populace, it can be argued that he has cloistered himself and has become more introverted by merit of his wanting to 'stay out of the way' and 'not wanting to hurt anyone more than he already has' with his presence.

Piérre was and always will be an extrovert, it's in his nature to perform, but when unsure of where his footfall may be he's more likely to try to stay out of the way of confrontation... and may instead find himself puppeteering things from the sidelines with a sort of 'glee' that he wouldn't like to outright admit to anyone, including himself.

• If they were sorted in a different house, which would it be?

Piérre has never found himself satisfied with his own house of Gryffindor... but he doesn't ever feel that he'd ever fully 'fit in' with any of the other houses for that matter either. It is why he started his tradition of dressing up as other houses without sticking to just one at all times. He can't bring himself to stay locked into 'one' cliche or 'location' for too long, and he would fear stagnating if he did.

That being said, I can safely say that the Sorting Hat would probably need to be re-enchanted if in any universe it had sorted Piérre into Ravenclaw. I could make arguments for Piérre being in Slytherin or in Hufflepuff, and truthfully on the basis that he's just a 'plethora' of traits that don't adhere to just one nature he would technically be Hufflepuff... but I like to think that while he may have the worldview and the intentions and the heart or external expression of a noble and almost pseudo-heroic Gryffindor or a lancer and dedicated/loyal individual of a Hufflepuff, he is in his mind and methods a adaptive, enigmatic, and sometimes outright ambitious and determined Slytherin that will find a way to enact and meet his ends or goals no matter what complaints or cries of distress come his way.

• Have they dated anyone? Why or why not?

Alas, the Piérre has not found anyone who has been able to handle him in as little regard as a friend, let alone as in a relationship. Piérre tends to be very flighty by nature, and that flightiness makes him hard to connect to in general. He often finds himself wondering if he will ever find 'the one', or if he's destined to walk through this world on his lonesome looking for 'the one' at all times... but to be perfectly honest a part of him doesn't want to burden that significant other if he ever does find them, simply because he knows that his feet tend to wander much faster and farther than others can keep up with him.

If he could find someone that does manage to tame his heart, perhaps he would be able to settle down... or perhaps they would be able to run alongside him and continue to explore the world with that boundless and inexhaustibly childish energy.

• Where will they live after graduation?

Likely nowhere. Once freed from the castle, Piérre will likely go 'off the radar' for most of the magical world, surfacing every now and again with a breach of the Statute of Secrecy in the form of a "Muggle" Street Magician performance with very real magic as a component of it. Where he travels a streak of child first-instances of magic is likely to follow, collections of Muggleborns and Half-Bloods with previously unknown magical inheritances now discoverable and able to be contacted for education.

Always one step ahead of the 'law' as it were, Piérre may only find a 'stable' home in the form of his brother's residence in Florence, Italy, where he runs a wandmaker's business. Piérre is happiest, though, living off of pocket money and scrounging here and there for his next meal akin to a vagabond or hobo. Living off of that which he can find, off that which he can earn with meager and humble means, Piérre may sometimes find himself unable to scratch together a hot meal from time to time... but he's always happy even in the midst of that small and relatively trivial misfortune.

• Which job(s) are they considering?

Street Magician all the way, with a Muggle spin on it because why not. No, he will not advance past that entry level job, he is destined to be a perpetual traveller and entertainer with no home to speak of. His payment and fame is mostly in the memories of those that he entertained and made happy even if only for a little while. He has no further need for further fame or finances.

• What would their "Good Ending" (favorable development) look like?

Somewhere probably up north--Piérre had forgotten where he was again, so he'd have to ask someone or check for a town sign when he ran across the next city next--the Magician had set up a small camp with a humble non-magical tent that he had fit into his expandable trunk. With his Moontrimmer Luciana holding up the tent as the central 'pillar' of the ramshackle tent, the magician was outside trying to coax life into a few fading embers that he had ignited the 'old fashioned' way with some matches and tinder that he had scrounged around for in the nearby vegetation. He could have been in some national park, to be perfectly honest, and he wouldn't have known it. Well, he would find out if some Park Ranger was attracted by the flimsy white smoke and came to probably most likely cuff him and take him in as a 'hobo' or otherwise 'homeless person'.

The man's green eyes were bright and his moustache curled into a second smile as he hummed to himself lightly. Tipping his head in mock curiosity, he finally finished sharpening his makeshift fire poker with but one of the whittling knives that he used for performance purposes. It was a strangely thin blade, having been created out of the smoke of a particularly thick fire from a few weeks ago. Onyx black and shiny with a curling handle that almost looked pearlescent in some places. It was, hands down, Piérre's favorite knife--balanced perfectly and just the right weight for throwing. After testing the poker with a finger, he began to stir the sputtering coals, trying to coax the last of warmth out of it as the cold night began to set in with a heavy and morosely wet countenance. Somewhere far away a roll of thunder trembled in the ozone-electrified air, but Piérre wasn't afraid of a little thunderstorm with the enchantments and defenses he had set up for himself that night.

In its tin being heated by the radiating heat of the same coals there was a can of chili sitting on a heating stone. It was usually uneven by the time that Piérre thought it would be done, but he didn't really mind. It wasn't like it was going to give him food poisoning. He always purchased... or sometimes, well, managed to slip away with the item in hand... nonperishable foodstuffs for this exact reason, and the 'walls' of his suitcase was lined with similar items to these to include canned fruits, dried meats, and crackers for the most part. Every now and again he got lucky enough to snatch some powdered milk, or sometimes fresh milk if he was able to stick around the town for the overnight. That was always good.

There was a sort of simple delight in being able to eat a humble meal such as this, in the great outdoors and not entirely sure where he was or where he would make next 'landfall' in such a large world of places and people. He already had his next act turning about in his mind. Perhaps he would try to pull out his animagus form this time around for a dramatic entrance and or exit. He would be, at the least, utilizing the Magician's Accomplices and other doves that he had collected himself that currently made their living in his suitcase and large-brimmed black hat.

The purple ribbon rippled in the stormy wind ever so slightly, a whisper that caressed his cheeks and blew back his slightly unkempt chestnut hair away from his face. For his outfit that was rather 'gauzy' in nature and only really had a sherpa vest to ensure his bodily warmth, it was rather chilly, but he had a warm sleeping bag. It was more important to be colorful and bedecked in flamboyant attire, something comfortable and yet flashy; something that caught the eye and marked him as a traveller. One would likely find themselves surprised by just how frequently he was invited in by other travellers, though he much preferred to wander alone if he caught a whiff of seediness or may have had to utilize his magic more than usual that day or night. His company, still, and the company of others, were mutually enjoyed. Piérre never lacked for laughter or an entertaining tale, many of which he also used in his performances as legendary tales or otherwise stories on how he learned some of the tricks he was about to present.

In the end, the Magician was an eternal wanderer, and eternal gypsy with no home. And he was happy. Owls from his brother that did manage to find him were sent back with a fervor on many different types of paper that the man could get his hands on--most of them were reassurances that he was alright and that he was safe and keeping warm and fed. Oh there were some pleads that he come home and stop making Romeo worry so much and that he'd like to see him for holidays, and these were replied to with the promise that he was coming home soon, even as soon as the next week if so desired, and that he would remember that the wine festival was that month or that Christmas or Easter was here or otherwise.

And after he had finished making safe the fire after dinner, after he had packed up and had made ready to go off tomorrow and continue his travels, the Magician ended up curled up in the messy bedroll with a (arguably a little silly) stuffed silver bengal cat that he had of course brought with him as an imitation of his beloved Figaro, bone tired but very happy indeed.

In some way, somehow, Piérre had hit rock bottom. There were no further relationships for him to destroy, for him to poison, for him to fall back upon. Even to some degree his own relationship with his brother has been ground thin and fine, reduced to ash or to some feeble flame that could be snuffed out like a sputtering candle. A failure in every degree, even the joy of performing for the world that continued to kick him down despite his best efforts to turn the tale around turned cold and grey and dull in his mind's eye... a world once so enchanting to him has now turned rancid and foul. All the spits and buffets both mental and physical left his soul scarred, and some of those scars were now visible externally in the form of hollowed eyes, in a broken posture. He was reduced to a man disillusioned, a man crushed in that irrevocable way in which not even the pleading hope in the heart of his hearts can revive. It pleads, begs wildly, but cannot be heard.

And so now he goes, and he travels and wanders... looking for the one and likely only person that he can think to go to now. The only one who perhaps has a use for him. At least a use to someone would be better than someone who slowly went mad out of the need to bring something to the world that the world had never asked for.

Perhaps it took months, perhaps even a year or a year and a half--the young man had probably lost track of time in the midst of his wild and single-minded pursuit. This man was not an easy one to find. He was a difficult man to find for a reason, but Piérre's determination had never failed him yet. Even in this doomed odyssey it would refuse to fail him. In the end, the Magician would find him. Shaking, perhaps, afraid of whom he had decided to approach--for indeed so different and yet so deliciously similar in all the strangest ways and their history had been spattered with violently opposing views and outlooks upon this world--Piérre would finally collapse to his knees, ready to beg.

At the feet of his father--Gitano Luca Vero--Piérre would beg. Beg for a purpose no matter how dark or cruel, beg for some meaning to his life, beg for something even similar to a cruel simulacrum of love or compassion... he would beg, plead, grovel... to the man he had once hated most. to the man, however, that had been right. In the end Piérre's eyes had seen, and now did see the truth of the world as an object to be plundered for its weakness, and that there was nothing in it worth saving.

And, perhaps with a cruel mercy or a smug victory, the man did just that. He took his bastard under his wing in the way that only a father could... Though, perhaps, less in the way of that of a father and more in the way of a master. He taught his bastard everything that he knew, and found him to be a sufficient student enough. Forbidden Potions and Forbidden Charms alike, handsome in charisma and poise, the boy made for a good messenger, for an excellent pickpocket, an unparalleled petty thief, a keen collector and runner of illegal and illicit goods: he was a little devil all on his own. Piérre did learn to laugh once again, mockingly and derisively, as his name and his face were plastered across the wizarding world's press with offers of galleons and exorbitant items of magical power just for him to be turned in dead or alive. But no matter the price, no matter the cost, he was unable to be found. Always one step ahead was he, always just a hair out of the net's reach.

He loved to have a purpose, loved to finally have someone who could appreciate his skills and was almost like a partner to him. It was all he had ever wanted: for if the world could not have him for what he wished to grant to it... he would become that which would take from it instead. His happiness now, would be paramount; at the price of those that he had once wished to save--a vengeance that had perhaps been a long time coming...

Gitano the Mesmer and Piérre the Jester, a duo seemingly made in Hell. And as time passed, the old king's appointed time to bow out of his place in the sun would finally come, and at last his son the cursed prodigal Prince was there to take the throne: to continue the legacy left behind for him.

• What's one of their best memories at Hogwarts?

It's hard to pin down a specific thread for this one. To generalize, some of his best memories have been club related. He had a wonderful time in S.W.A.G Club when that was a thing, though left when Duelling Club opened, and that's been a wonderful experience too. Being part of the Headliner and starting the Frog Choir were significant parts of his school life. Kicking off the League of Aspirant Animagi recently paid off in one of my favorite out-of-school scenes, it's a fluff field trip with nothing too chaotic going on, but it's been a relaxing, rewarding change of pace for Pear. Kind of an unorthodox one for a "good" memory, but he's very fond of the time he got abducted by an acromantula in the The Dark and Perilous Wood: not only did he manage to talk his way out of being eaten, this odd boy loves arachnids, so it was a once-in-a-lifetime (hopefully) opportunity to interact so closely with one.

• How about one of the worst ones?

His boggart encounter was way up there, it definitely made him realize he's got a bit of a complex Also the time he was a first-year in the hospital wing and two wizards got in a fight to the death, he was so young and inexperienced, he didn't know what to do besides cast a smoke screen so he and his peers could escape. Not as intense as some of the Forbidden Forest encounters, but it was more jarring considering it was supposed to be a safe place with reliable adult figures (a nurse and an auror murder suspects? this kicked off his no-faith-in-adults arc). Part of the Hogwarts Express getting blown off the tracks was horrible for him too, he was on the safe side, but was sick with worry for the students that got left behind.

• Top 3 hangouts when visiting Hogsmeade?

Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop - nice place to study or relax, good tea and ambiance
Gladrags Wizardwear - fine tailor for fancy folk, gets his clothes bespoke, also buys ball fits here
Dervish and Banges - loves tinkering with the latest magical contraptions and odd instruments

• Favorite shop in Diagon Alley?

Borgin and Burkes FOR SURE. Ancient magical artefacts, spooky atmosphere, shady reputation, what's not to love? It's wholly unique. Having to sneak in is part of the experience.

• Do they have a favorite ball? (either theme, or something significant happened)

Definitely the 2021 Blossom Ball. Not only was it themed after Ancient Greece, there were a ton of fun and challenging trials. The coordinators seriously went all out, and as a bonus, Peri was one of the champions at the end. Frog Choir performing during the 2021 Fall Ball will always be a special memory, fun coordinating OOC too.

• Has their time at Hogwarts made them more extroverted or introverted?

Extroverted. I started Pear out as this weird little magic homeschooled kid that didn't really know how to make/keep friends, he was more used to being around adults than those his age, but he's grown out of that in a big way over the last 5 years. While his upbringing has made him a bit eccentric, he now has 0 problems striking up interactions with randoms. He's relaxed a lot and learned to act/speak more his age, and discovered contentment in helping others.

• If they were sorted in a different house, which would it be?

Slytherin. The hat debated sorting him there, but his better nature won out (on top of not wanting to be a snake because his dad was, he's determined to individualize himself from dad's legacy). Sometimes I wish he'd gone that route because he'd be more sassy and snarky, which would be hilarious to write, but I'm satisfied he wound up in RC. His altruism won out over ambition, and he's a more logic-based strategist than someone who schemes for self gain.

• Have they dated anyone? Why or why not?

No, for a few reasons in-character and out. OOC, as an adult, I've never written a minor in a ship. I didn't feel ready for him to be in one until he hit Y5 (15 seemed like a reasonable age for a first date too). IC, Peri's only frame of reference for romance is his parents, and their idea of love is pretty overwhelming for him. His dad was borderline obsessive over his mom, so he's been afraid he can't express himself as strongly, but will hopefully learn someday that there are many other love languages beyond excessive gift-giving and waxing poetics. To this point, whenever it was hinted someone had a crush on him, he aggressively pretended not to notice.

• Where will they live after graduation?

TBD! He's mentioned wanting to move back to Greece, but will likely land somewhere in the UK if he does decide to become an auror. I haven't settled on a location, but I know the house itself will be a proper wizard household, plenty of weird rooms. He'll need a place to store the knickknacks he collects along his worldwide travels, somewhere to grow potion components and room outdoors to keep his horse. Preferably an isolated property surrounded by trees.

• Which job(s) are they considering?

Currently a toss-up between Auror and Cursebreaker, but still eyeing a few others:

Pros: Can put his investigative nature and years of duelling to good use. Has been planning to be an auror for most of his life. More interaction with others
Cons: Having to take orders and work for the lame government. Ministry dumped his dad after a mission injury so there's a personal grudge

Explorer - Cursebreaker
Pros: explore the Great Wide Open travel the world, spelunk in ruins and caves, be a rad treasure hunter. Can use the family shipping company to get around
Cons: I like fight scenes and sleuthing but there probably won't be a lot

Unspeakable
Pros: Forbidden/Esoteric Knowledge. Would def be in the Death department
Cons: lonely job, Ministry grudge, and not a ton of canon content to explore

Learns to let go of the past and focus on his future, mending insecurities that have inadvertently created a gap between himself and his father. Becomes a Cursebreaker, exploring the world as an intrepid treasure-hunter, free to forge his own path in life. Tracks down artefacts significant to his customers, like lost family heirlooms, and develops a knack/reputation for destroying especially heinous curses. Remains close to friends and allies from school, networking with them in their adult lives for mutual support.

• How about the "Bad Ending" (aka villain origin story)?

Can't let go of his obsession with curing vampirism. Starts dabbling in illegal (and immoral) potioneering like his mom's side of the family. Settles for a job as an Unspeakable in the Death department, where he develops an interest in necromancy as a possible solution. Lives a life of isolation as a cold, bitter man obsessed with his work. Is eventually caught by the Ministry, either for the outlawed components he's been brewing with or for taking advantage of his position to conduct corrupt experiments. Arrested, tried as guilty, and left to rot in Azkaban.

• What's one of their best memories at Hogwarts?

When she went to her first charms class. She already liked magic but that was when she fell in love with it, when she was younger she like other kids always believed that magic existed but she never expected to be right.

When she lost her butterflies in the halls but she ended up making friends with the girl that helped her find them so it wasn't all bad in the end.

She loves the artsy energy that Flourish and Blotts gives off, effectively making it her favorite, but Madam Malkin's is a close second.

She's very excited for the masquerade ball, she loves any kind of ball but masquerades are her favorite.

Hogwarts has made her even more extroverted which no one thought was possible because she's already an extrovert.

She didn't mind what house she was going to be placed in but when she was reading about hogwarts she found herself identifying with both Ravenclaw and Slytherin, in fact the hat considered Ravenclaw for her but placed her in the house of ambition.

Achlys is a romantic to her core, she dreams of having a family of her own in the future, she plans on having at least four children. She hasn't dated anyone as of yet but she may or may not develop a crush on someone in her second year or sometime this year, I'm undecided.

• Where will they live after graduation?

Maybe Scotland or Ireland, wherever her future jobs allows her to be.

• Which job(s) are they considering?

She doesn't know right now but in the future she she'll be torn between becoming a Healer or a Ministry Employee. Either one of those, running her grandmother's store, or a Muggle teacher. If it isn't obvious, she wants to help people and these jobs would allow her to do that.

• What would their "Good Ending" (favorable development) look like?

Her happily ever after would be, her graduating Hogwarts and getting the job of her dreams. After her mother dies, she and her father grieve together, her other siblings would be speaking to her in something other than three letter words, and after a few years she'd have children of her own to care for and to be stern with. She and her friends from Hogwarts would be meeting each other every week for lunch or parties, everyone would be happy. She'd die happily and proud of herself.

• How about the "Bad Ending" (aka villain origin story)?

Achlys's happy comfortable little life would come crashing down when she was so close to coming home after her first year at Hogwarts, she'd find out that her mother had perished in a plane crash leaving her and her siblings without a mother, she'd be sent to her mother's parents while her siblings are sent to her father's mother because her father couldn't deal with the deal of her mother. Instead of her grieving properly, she'd be bitter and angry, the personality change would destroy all of her friendships both muggle and magical, and relationships with her family. She would find someone just as bitter and angry as she is and marry them, they'd have children and not raise them to be as happy as she used to be and when the moment comes when she's on her deathbed, no one would be there, not her spouse, not her children, no one but her.

• What's one of their best memories at Hogwarts?

Probably this thread with Irina Shevel. She got to mentor the other girl a bit in flying (although both of them were initially very nervous), and after a while of not feeling very much strong emotion, let alone happiness, she felt true joy. That was probably the happiest she had been in a long time, and after that, she probably sees Irina as someone she Must Help and Protect no matter what.

• How about one of the worst ones?

Probably the infamous Slytherin spider attack (which is only visible to Slytherins). This was the root of her fear of spiders, and the aftermath is what made Koko embrace being a hermit. The thread in which she and a lot of other Slytherins almost died also wasn't very fun! That largely cemented her worldview of 'if I don't leave my dorm, I don't get hurt'.

• Top 3 hangouts when visiting Hogsmeade?

Honeydukes takes the #1 spot all the time. After that, probably Gladrags and then the Hog's Head. You can't go wrong with the Hog's Head.

• Favorite shop in Diagon Alley?

Obviously Quality Quidditch Supplies. You can't have a Quidditch obsession like Koko's and not go into that shop all the time to gawk at brooms and then ultimately buy some.

• Do they have a favorite ball? (either theme, or something significant happened)

Going way back in my thread list here. She at least went to the 2019 Blossom Ball, and she didn't experience anything necessarily awful there, so she thinks it was fine. She hasn't really done any large events other than Quidditch in years, but that might change this year...

I have taken a lot of time on this question. I'd say that initially, it made her a lot more introverted ─ in my first threads (please don't look), she was pretty outgoing! From 2020-2023ish, though, she was pretty introverted, not really going out of her way to talk to people, and not really having many friends. Now she is growing out of that a bit, so maybe her sixth and seventh years have made/will make her more extroverted.

• If they were sorted in a different house, which would it be?

Hufflepuff, without a doubt. She is not brave enough to be in Gryffindor. She is not smart enough to be in Ravenclaw. However, Koko values loyalty, dedication, patience, fairness and hard work, which are all things Hufflepuffs generally value. If she weren't ambitious, resourceful, cunning, selfish and potentially ruthless... she would've been a Hufflepuff for sure.

• Have they dated anyone? Why or why not?

She has not. The OOC reason for why not is essentially that plans fell through, but IC Koko did shut herself away from people for a while, and that really does wreak havoc on one's relationships. She simply doesn't know anyone well enough to want to have a romantic relationship with them. And then, of course, a lot of people her age mysteriously disappear...

• Where will they live after graduation?

Wherever her job takes her! She would be fine with living anywhere that speaks English or French, especially since she's moved around a lot. She'll probably default to London if she can for work placement opportunities, though.

• Which job(s) are they considering?

Quidditch... Specifically, Second-String Quidditch Player -> First-String Quidditch Player -> Star Quidditch Player/Quidditch Coach -> National Quidditch Player/Quidditch Manager

• What would their "Good Ending" (favorable development) look like?

She continues to improve her relationships within her family as well as with others. She continues to nurture her growing extroverted tendencies and accepts human interaction as a good thing again. She learns how to deal with her arachnophobia in a healthy way and also finds healthy ways to deal with her other emotions. She graduates with decent marks and manages to get a job on a Quidditch team, where she learns/relearns the art of good sportsmanship.

• How about the "Bad Ending" (aka villain origin story)?

She embraces the angry streak she's been developing and lets those feelings fester. Instead of finding healthy ways to deal with her feelings, she gets into fights and picks on people to feel in control. Her need to be the best and always be in control deepens. She might let Quidditch overtake her life because it is one of the few places where her almost-violent anger and need to control and succeed can almost be seen as normal. She might even become the type of person who would attack someone unprovoked if this got bad enough, which is almost a complete 180 from how my little pacifist-at-heart has always been.
