She rubbed the paste in her hands as if it was some sort of lotion balm before slapping it away like nothing onto her fellow team mate. Sometimes Vale forgets she even has that, very much like the potato peels slowly rotting away in her dorm room right now.

Drat! Dorion managed to snag Wyatt back down to the course and dear George whipped out his wand again. Fortunately both Wyatt and Ava were quite a way ahead! Colin had to admit, Ava was becoming a really good racer. She could take the punishment and didn't whine or complain. She just flew.

He would never admit this to her, but with each race, he found himself actually quite proud of Ava. He certainly wished she'd win this race for the Basilisks!

But there were other pressing concerns nearby. Namely, George. Colin whistled over to the older boy, trying to get his attention. "Expelliarmus!" he said, watching as the older boy's wand went flying from his hand --- again!

"Grab yer wand tighter lad!" he called out with a merry laugh!

The race wasn’t over yet and both teams seemed to be determined to keep going. But it has been quite a race and maybe he needed more conditioning because it seemed a lot of the obstacles were proving difficult for him.

Badgers has determination though and Simon wasn’t ready to give up. Eyes forward, broom level, and go. This race wasn’t over yet.

What she could do: keep racing. She had a great team, and they were fighting for victory, and now it was their job to achieve such. Even if it was a little difficult to fly with all the new sores.

Bam! She whipped her head around, and noted her teammate and a now sticky substance on her, which she identified as bruise cream. Score!

Then, without any further hesitation, she braced herself as she put her head down and flew forward. Ahead of her lay many obstacles. She grit her teeth as she felt the cold penerate her bones, chilling her entirely. It was so cold.

This was incredibly frustrating. The whole point of a race was to go fast, and yet here June was at the back of the pack.

Gripping her Silver Arrow until her knuckles turned white, June tipped her broom forward, jerking her trajectory back and forth as she navigated the course. To hell with safety or "proper flying" at this point. Just go fast and pray it isn't too late.

Another successful spell cast secured Dori's confidence in themselves as a competent wizard in broom racing once more. Last time t hey didn't really do- much of anything. But this time they were sort of kind of at the head of the pack, still behind a few people but. There were people faster than them, able to navigate the obstacles better. So they were fine playing support in the middle of the pack as long as it helped their team win.
