It was only a broom race.. he'd won ones just like it.

Submitted Plays

With a whip of her wrist, her wand was readied in her hand. With zero hesitation, she kicked into gear and quickly cast the summoning charm towards one of the opponent's broom - in this instance, going for June's broom. Perhaps she should have felt bad for getting the Slytherin knocked off - as that might have hurt them - but at this point, it was war! Okay, it was not war but a girl had to do whatever she could to win.

Clearly the strategy that the badgers had in mind was akin to war though. They all went straight for their targets, doing everything they could to win. Serena kept her head down, speeding up again and whipping forward she sped up. It was a little bit difficult to cast spells whilst moving fast but again, a girl had to do whatever she could and casting spells was something she ought to have been good at. Flying was also something she ought to be good at by now but her recent performance was lacking. Hopefully her new found success right now was a sign of good things to come.

Topaz was thinking about her failure and she was kinda feeling lightheaded by all that flying up in the air. Her stomach was also grumbling because she ate a light breakfast. Ovibously it was her first time so she was anxious. So she got a snack out and started eating. She observed the game. Good news! The weather was clearing up and the gloominess was going away. Her frown turned slightly upside down. She saw all the other people cheering loudly. They were screaming their lungs out. Topaz's ears were bursting. She also saw all the Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs, Slytherins, and Gryfinndors. Also, the headmasters and teachers. After some time she was finished with her snack. She got some water and started cheering for all the other broom racers. Even the broom racers on the other team. Topaz was a very kind and generous girl. She couldn't wait to see who would win!

They seemed to be the summoning charm wix this broom race, once again trying to summon a broom but not being as successful. Which was fine- they would rather George have his wand anyway. They couldn't help but try and hum under their breath as they focused through the obstacles. Calming their mind to try and give the Hufflepuffs a bigger lead. Where they ended up was- kind of fun. With Serena. Someone that they had been on a Quidditch team with way back when. "Fancy seeing you here Towers." They were slightly breathless, but at least able to get the words of comradery out.
