The young Slytherin eyed her target. "Incendio." she said, pointing at the Gryffindor first year. Lucian ended up just dodging the entire round just to be safe and Mahlioz's Rictusempra hit her desired target, which was also the same first year Ara was targeting. Even with 2 spells casted on her, the first year, Sere, was still standing. 'Ugh, annoying.' a certain Slytherin thought.

Then it hit her that Sere was still aflame which means she'll be done for next round. She glanced at her other teammates, she still wasn't sure if Lucian was on good terms with Mahlioz anymore after last round but it was better to let them be.

One person from the other team was being weird though, they weren't doing anything! They were just frozen in place since the beginning of the math weirdly. 'Is she even taking this seriously? Come on.' she thought.

Whatever god was watching at her right now, they are probably laughing at all her failures. Can't have a good day, can she? It's been like this for days now and she is getting tired of all the misfortune.

Misses and now her spell had failed to be produced, making her just as useless as one of their teammates who had just been standing and spacing out like she's not even in the middle of duelling. Why did they even let her into the duelling team though? Maybe the same reason why they let someone like Raizel, who is a failure, stay despite the horrible performances. She sighed, eyes back on their opponents. Shake the thoughts away, she needs focus, or try to at least cause clearly, focus is non-existent for her.

Just a few moments after successfully casting her Incendio, something unexpected came to the Gryffindor first-year : two spells struck her at almost the same time. Another Fire-Making Spell which burned her robes even worse and another spell that Sere never heard of before, but when the spell hit her, she could feel the ticklish feeling which forced her to laugh even though tears showed on her eyes. and the tears fell down along with herself that also fell on her knees.

Embarrassing! That's all Sere could feel inside her heart. She never experience situation like this before. Her breath is ragged because non-stop laughing, her tears down all over, beads of sweat covered her face because of the flaming Incendio's heat that she couldn't even stop at the moment.

She is really in critical condition, but with the remaining energy, Sere turned to Raizel, said to her only teammate, "It's not... over... yet." She raised the wand with her really-trembling hand, "Do... or die. Let's go."

He just started to move around, Lucian wasn’t taking any chances and honestly, he needed a second to cool down before his own spells went on the fritz. He had long come to realise that this duel was a 3 v 2 but to be honest, and as much as it pained him to even think it, Raizel was making up for their frozen player.

He watched as the firstie Gryffindor got hit twice and that did bring a grin to his face. They were almost out.

Despite the potential to be quite a chaotic round, the next salvo of spells cast by the duellists were largely ineffective. More than largely, they were entirely ineffective. Despite no failures in casting, both sides seemed to devote a good measure of energy to avoiding incoming spells. The result was a flurry of spells that all missed their mark.

It would have been an entirely uneventful round, too, if not for one of the Gryffindor duellists falling to the floor. Despite a valiant effort, the first year had finally succumbed to their injuries. Although he was supposed to remain entirely unbiased, he could not help but nod with respect as she fought until the end. Truly the soul of a Gryffindor.

"Halt!" Cassius called, allowing time for the healers to retrieve and begin to care for the fallen duellist. Once they had cleared her from the stage, he turned back to the remaining five. "Resume!"

One down. Five remaining. The duel goes on.

No matter what she does, the results are the same. Miss after miss, none of her spells were hitting and it was getting frustrating too, and looks like Mahlioz had anticipated hers and Sere's spell going for her with how she focused on dodging. Lucky for her, her opponents missed as well, with two of them going for her.

The challenge is now upon her when Sere had fallen unconscious, leaving her and an unmoving teammate. This might as well be another 3v1 situation, just like her first duel. Why does she keep getting herself into situations like this? Perhaps that is a sign that she needs a change of pace. Maybe duelling wasn't for her after all. Guess she'll find out after this duel and maybe, finally decide whether she still wants to keep going down this path.

Ara once again said "Incendio.", at this point they should be called "The Fire Snakes". The spell it worked! But missed. She was quite annoyed that she and her teammates couldn't get a spell on Voltrouz. 'Well the first year is down' she thought as she saw the poor girl unconscious being treated by the standby healers. 'Sorry not sorry I guess'

Now, instead of focusing on the previous round's events, her head is back in the duel.

Well that had been a boring round. Not that Mahlioz was exactly complaining, considering she'd managed to actively dodge two spells coming her way so well. And the little Gryffindor firstie finally passed out - Mahlioz couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt and sorry for the girl, knowing what it felt like.
Okay, so they were 3v2 now (if not even 3v1, with that frozen kid on the lions' side). That was good. But none of their spells were hitting Raizel! How was she so good at staying out of their way?? The girl hadn't smiled once, and Mahlioz wondered if she even recognized them from the Spring Ball.

Well, apparently that wasn't important right now. Right now, they had to win.

As usual, his spell missed. Of course it did. One slightly good thing did come out though, that was the first year passing out. Cassius paused the play while people were sent to check on her.

“Hope she’s okay…”

He didn’t want her baaadly hurt, but she WAS sort of set on fire— that couldn’t be nice. He glanced at the other one, still frozen. It was just us vs Rai if you thought about it, unless the other one got her act together.

Three v one. Surely that meant they had a higher chance? Yet, they had all missed.

Things were quite literally heating up. Raizel's unbreakable defense seemed to now be showing signs of weakness as all three spells cast by the Slytherin team managed to find their mark. Worse, each had a nasty surprise for Raizel as she was simultaneously set on fire, tickled, and surrounded by thick bubbles that no doubt would make it difficult to concentrate and move. It looked painful and annoying and Cassius was very glad to not be on the receiving end of that attack.

However, the Gryffindor side was not without claws. While Aries still stared into nothingness, Raizel cast an impressive wind jinx at Lucian, finding her mark with a strong gust of wind. Cassius knew firsthand how effective that spell could be in a duel. There was a reason it was one of the most popular duelling spells. Would it be enough? The duel continued on.
