Bubba hated this race. Hated it more than he'd possibly hated anything in his entire life. It was just not at all fun, not even remotely. He'd been blinded and scratched and now he was absolutely terrified of the Balor that was chasing him. Well, it was a boggart but that didn't make it any less terrifying. A Balor was one of those demonic legends that his grandfather had told him about when they first moved here. He knew it wasn't really but he still wanted to run as far away from it as possible. It was the giant eye that made it truly terrifying to Bubba.

Ari watched as Dorion fell off their broom, pleased to see that he was finally in on the action, but still hoped his opponent was okay. Not long after that though, he brushed through some thorns. Despite his confidence in getting through them, he still managed to get hurt, the thorns tearing through his hoodie, drawing blood. It hurt as bad as it usually did, but he didn't have time to wallow in pain. He had some catching up to do.
