CL BROOM RACING - HUFFLEPUFF vs. SLYTHERIN - FALL 2022

Sophie had gotten caught up in trying to kill her opponents rather than actually trying to race. But it was much more entertaining to watch the projectiles she'd thrown hit somebody, and at the same time not move at all. Surprisingly, the last two Slytherin racers were still somehow alive. This bothered her, knowing that anyone could throw something back at her.

Her projectile hit that Slytherin girl who she'd knocked off her broom earlier in the race. Sophie could feel the grin that was forming on her face, which turned into a laugh. The race was going to be over soon, so she'd better start flinging more projectiles or else it would be a long time until she was allowed to do that again.

Every time the maze got in his way, George employed a visionary strategy, never before tested in all the broom races he had encountered: he simply went backward. Well, not without the use of considerable violence, of course. He used the cracker jinx as a springboard to send himself backward. And with this one, he saw the cracker blow up in June's face - she was making a valiant effort at getting to the end, but with a squid and Serena in her way, George expected he would be doing his gloating in the hospital wing after the race. Maybe then he would finally feel things were even after his painful detention...

Not having to avoid objects and instead just winging things at the sneaks was just a fantastic pass time. How had Jack not realized how much fun going straight caveman was? Ooga Booga, Jack throw rock. He should keep this up in his free time. It could end in his detention, but it would be completely worth it.

June was running out of breath, her arms and legs were battered and bleeding from the onslaught of thorns, sticks and stones, and whatever George had just done to her. She adjusted her grip on her broom, pushing forward, blissfully unaware of the streak of yellow riding a Christmas tree as a broom flying above her.

The cool wind blew against his face as he sped on, forward and onward through the course. Some of the racers were in front of him and some of the racers were behind, but he continued on. Hopefully, a badger was in the lead. Hopefully Hufflepuff would win this race! Focus was forward. Determination was there!

Interacting with himself

For now he was still trying to find his way out of this death trap he called a maze. The opposite team had tried to strike him down, but he was able to dodge the spells and carry on his exploration of freedom. He didn't know how many of his teammates were still flying, for all Gray knew he thought he was the only one left. Not wanting to doubt get to him, he chose to fly on in the hopes of at least getting something from this race.

Poor Percival was still struggling to find his way out of the maze—Della now realizing they really had designed this to be too hard—and he probably had no idea what terrible fate had befallen his comrades. Speaking of which, Della's attention was pulled from the maze to see June fall from her broom. Sure, the thorns had been rough on the Basilisk, but she looked like she would pull through. The moderator had the nagging feeling that something else was afoot—but the nagging feeling was flushed away as once again George sends his signature exploding crackers toward Percival. They prove too much for the snake and he too falls. Momentarily speechless at the carnage, Della almost forgot to say anything to the crowd when Serena crosses the finish line. A complete and dominating victory for the brutal badgers!
