โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ The ball was tomorrow, and Faye couldn't wait. She wondered if it would be the same or different to the one she had attended in the spring. No matter what the differences were, there was one thing that would stay the same. She was going with Regina.
The Ravenclaw had the ghost of a soft smile on her lips as she thought about the girl, the girl who had basically changed her life. She was on her way to the Great Hall for lunch, scanning the students milling around her for the tell tale signs of orchid eyes and a wicked disposition. The smell of food wafted out of the room and into the corridor, persuading Faye to pick up her pace.
She was only halfway down the corridor on her way to the Great Hall when she felt something almost run into her, knocking her off course, wobbling in her heeled shoes. The blonde whipped her head around (hair moving over her shoulder like she was in some sort of Euphoriaknockoff) and spotted a First Year Slytherin running down the corridor. Did she have any manners, almost toppling over an upperclassman like she was playing fucking ten pin bowling?
"Oi! Watch where you're going, you tool! Go and get your internal fecking navigation fixed while you're at it, you-!" Faye shouted, waving her hand around like crazy as she walked backwards, her eyes taut on the back of the first year's head.
However, her angry speech screeched down to a halt when she turned around upon entering the Hall and saw quite a commotion. An older Gryffindor girl was sprawled out on the floor, seemingly unconscious, or dead, she couldn't tell from this angle. A small crowd was gathering around her and an argument was going on between another Gryffindor and a pretty blonde Ravenclaw. Meanwhile a Ravenclaw prefect desperately tried to do her job and a Slytherin girl tried to comfort the subject of all the fuss. She caught the start of a long rant on the Gryffindor's behalf, claiming her 'expertise' in the subject of dead sisters. God.
"Alright, you're not the 'all-knowing' of this certain topic, babe! Catch yourself on, why don't you? This gel girl is out on the floor and suddenly you grace the scene and tell everyone what to do? Perhaps the lass ain't want to wake up all alone in a time like this, aye?"
Faye came up next to the Gryffindor girl, her accusation not as loud as a shout, but laced with enough ire in an attempt to make her back down. She turned her head to the blonde again and watched as she tried to take control of the situation.
"Why don't you just slap 'er? Or pour water on her? Anything to make her wake up faster?"
She bent down into a crouch, cocking her head to the side as she kept her eyes on the unconscious girl's face, seconds away from reaching out and slapping her,

"I believe that's quite enough of shouting from you, Adelaide."
The sound of clicking heels from her black uniform dress shoes accompanied Regina's cold voice as she approached the loitering group, a characteristic frown of apathy on her face. Clever orchid eyes were not fixed on any of the girls gathered around her fallen cousin, however - Regina's attention was entirely on Bellamy to assess the situation.
The day had started out as normal as it could be for any other Tuesday. She'd been sitting at the Gryffindor Table, expecting to have a decent lunch for once before her Care of Magical Creatures class, but a large commotion at the entrance of the Great Hall had prompted the raven-haired girl to lift her head to a rather disconcerting scene. Lo and behold, Regina recognised the furious voice of her dreadful second cousin Adelaide Barlowe, screaming like a banshee while cradling the unconscious form of her other cousin, Ivy Bellamy. Even though they were technically family, Regina had been tempted to just remain at her seat - she didn't care to involve herself in somebody else's problems.
That was until Adelaide had screeched about dead sisters to a younger Gryffindor, something so heinous that even a jaded person like Regina had been surprised to hear come out of her mouth.
And so the school rebel had decided she should probably intervene, if only because of 'family courtesy', and for the situation not to escalate any further.
"I must say, I did not think you had the gall so spout such insensitive words. Even I, a person who could care less of other people's feelings, am appalled."
And besides, Regina had already empathised with @Colin McCoire last month about his dead twin brother. She'd learned to be a little bit more mindful of this sort of topic.
The raven-haired Lion strode forward, crouching gracefully as she placed one hand on Faye's shoulder.
"I will handle this," She spoke gently to her girlfriend, a stark contrast to the earlier patronising tone. However, as soon as her eyes shifted to Adelaide, the coldness was back. "Move aside. I know how to take care of a fainted person."
Regina didn't wait, merely nudging her Ravenclaw cousin with a harsh elbow to reach for Bellamy's eyes. With a thumb and an index finger, she gently opened one eyelid and hummed lowly when the pupil wasn't dilated. No concussion. That was a good sign, at the very least. She then took off the outer robe of her uniform, folding it neatly into a makeshift pillow and placing Bellamy's head on top of it - she needed to lay completely flat on the ground for this to work. Regina scooted to the older Gryffindor's legs, sat on her heels and lifted her cousin's feet to place it on her lap exactly 12 inches above the heart level.
"Loosen her collar, belt or any other constrictive clothing for a better airway," She ordered Adelaide mindlessly, gaze trained on the steady rise and fall of Bellamy's chest.

โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโSamantha snapped at Sienna just as Adelaide had for picking up Ivy's letter. What was it with this group? It wasn't like she knew it was a personal letter when she took it. It was folded and lying facedown on the floor of the hall. Anyone could've picked it up, but of course it was just her luck that she had. With growing anger for everyone being so insensitive, she glared at Samantha. "The damn thing was folded and facedown!" she said angrily. "How the hell was I supposed to know it was her private letter?"

The Ravenclaw who seemed to think she knew everything, when she most clearly didn't, decided to take that moment to start yelling at Sienna again. "Like I said, the thing was facedown. I'm sorry if my picking up some scrap of paper irritated you that much!" How thick could she get? "You don't get to tell me what I'm lacking in, Miss Know-It-All," she continued fiercely. If that poor girl were to wake up, Sienna would feel incredibly sorry for her. God knows she doesn't need to wake up to a shouting match overhead. She wished that Slytherin girl would get back here with a professor soon. How long did it take to find a professor anyways?
Yet another girl joined in on the cluster, and yet again began shouting at Sienna. She wasn't the bad guy here. She had literally come over in the first place to help, and suddenly everyone was upset at her. The students in this castle were obviously twisted in the head. "I'm sorry I've got some advice that is extremely useful in this situation. I've dealt with fainting before, myself and others, so I know what to do. I don't need you coming over here just to yell at me either, I've got enough of that at the moment," she said with a heavy sigh.
When another Gryffindor joined, Sienna was on her breaking point. If another person yelled one more thing to her-- To her surprise, the girl did have some scolding words to speak, but they were not directed at her thankfully. They were directed at Adelaide. Finally someone else was able to see what an idiot this Ravenclaw was. When she started giving orders for the rest to back away and for Adelaide to loosen restrictive clothing, Sienna was grateful. Grateful that if her own advice would not be taken, at least someone else's was.โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโSTA: 8 | EVA- 8 | STR- 1 | WIS- 5 | ARC- 4 | ACC- 9โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโReducioQuick little thing. ("In a calmer voice she continued so only Adelaide could hear") However, it seems to have taken quite a crucial point in the rest of your posts, so I'll just have Sienna assume she spoke louder than she thought
Also, Regina, I didn't know whether two people with Terrible Presence would affect each other, so I didn't mention anything about Sienna being affected by Regina. Hope that's okay!

Outfit: Uniform Adelaide was at her goddamn breaking point with this girl. Every single breath that came out of the Gryffindor's mouth made Adelaide's hand itch to grab ahold of her wand and either Flipendo her across the Great Hall, or Incendio her, or both. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe because the fucking letter starting with 'Dear Ivy' was a sure sign it was private," she scoffed, her voice dripping with so much venom anyone with a brain would surely be able to sense the imminent danger, "and I'll tell you what you're lacking in all I want, because you have no brain in that hollow skull of yours if you can't even comprehend when a letter is private. Maybe stop being so fucking nosy for once, you ass," her eyes were narrowed into slits at this point, and she'd clenched her fists so tightly in an effort not to grab her wand that there were surely crescent-shaped marks engraved into her palms now.
And then another girl had joined the group. Adelaide turned her attention to the unfamiliar pretty Ravenclaw, her gaze softening slightly as the girl started yelling at the Gryffindor too. Adelaide smirked, because whether the Gryffindor would want to admit it or not, she was clearly in the wrong, if everyone ganging up on her was any indication. She was just about to start liking this Ravenclaw too, until the suggestion of slapping Ivy or pouring water on her to wake up her came out of the girl's mouth. Adelaide's eyes narrowed again, "No, I'm not going to fucking slap her, God sake. She'll wake up whenever she wants to wake up." Which better be soon, because I am so worried right now I'm torn between either screaming or crying was left unsaid. If this Ravenclaw so much as made a move to hit Ivy, Adelaide would not hesitate to pounce on her like a cat if she had to. She was acting so feral right now it wouldn't even be surprising if she did end up pouncing on the poor girl.
It appears the saying 'speak of the Devil and he'll appear' was unfortunately true. Or she'll appear, in this case. The sound of Regina's voice was a very, very unwelcome sound right now. Especially when the older girl had decided she needed to reprimand Adelaide. For what? All she had done was put the idiotic Gryffindor girl in her place. "I don't recall asking for your presence," she hissed back when Regina neared the scene. "You're really not needed here." She bit the inside of her cheek when Regina commented on Adelaide's less than nice comment she'd made towards the Gryffindor. Sure, it was really insensitive. Sure, the girl definitely didn't deserve that. And maybe it was horrible that Adelaide didn't really feel guilty right now, maybe the guilt would hit her later when she was lying in bed tonight, but right now she felt zero guilt. And maybe that was bad. Maybe it made her a bad person, but still, she wasn't about to let her imbecile of a second cousin scold her as if Adelaide was nothing more than a child who had gotten into trouble (even though she was technically still a child).
"I didn't ask for your opinion, Regina," she spat, "and maybe you just don't know me that well at all." She played it off, shrugging nonchalantly, as if she didn't care that she had just said such horrible words, fueled by nothing but pure, raging anger. And she was definitely still feeling that anger, but the more time that passed that Ivy didn't wake up, the more worried she became.
The Ravenclaw had half believed Regina didn't have a singular nice bone in her body, but apparently, she was wrong. Her eyes narrowed in suspicion as her gaze bounced between her cousin and the unfamiliar girl, the interaction was brief but still very confusing, at least to Adelaide. Regina could actually be nice, who knew? And then the older girl turned to Adelaide again, and the familiar coldness was back. Wow. Before she had even gotten a chance to respond, Regina had nudged her aside with such a harsh elbow that Adelaide couldn't help but wince. She was about to say a retort but then noticed what Regina was doing, and her eyes couldn't help but narrow in suspicion again.
How did the girl know how to take care of a fainted person? She was fairly certain they didn't teach that in any class, or even Dueling, and Regina didn't seem like the type of person to be interested in becoming a Healer after Hogwarts, so Adelaide highly doubted Regina was involved in the Healer Internship she had heard about briefly. So how in Merlin did her cousin know what to do? Adelaide watched Regina very intently, her suspicion increasing with each new thing the older girl did. Sure, maybe she had just read about it somewhere, but that didn't stop Adelaide from feeling suspicious. And from the looks of it, it didn't look like Regina had just recently read about it. Something was not adding up here.
Usually, Adelaide would hate to be ordered around, especially by someone she highly disliked, but right now she was more suspicious and confused than angry, so she grudgingly done what Regina asked and loosened Ivy's collar. Once she was certain any constrictive clothing on Ivy had been loosened, she turned her gaze back to Regina. "Care to explain how in Merlin you knew what to do?"

Rita was just going into the great hall to grab some food for lunch when she saw something disturbing happening which make her really worried and curious. She saw a few girls who seemed to be worried and confused standing at a corner, but she really could not see what was happening. "What is happening there! Is someone in trouble? Why the girls all look very upset? Let me pay a close look and see if I can help." Rita thought and walked closer to that corner to see what happened.
When Rita also walked to the corner, she saw her best friend Lily, along with a few other girls she was not familiar with. A girl who looks like an older year wearing Gryffindor clothes was lying on the ground, seemed to be fainting, and the other girls standing next to her are trying to heal the poor fainting girl. The situation of that girl seemed to be not very satisfying, and the girls around the fainting girl all seemed to be worried and confused. Even though Rita did not know most of the girls around the corner, she was still very worried about the situation, so she raised her voice a little bit and asked the rest of girls standing next to the poor fainting girl, "Is there anything I can help? Shall we take the poor girl to Hospital Wing? Or shall I go to the Hospital Wing and call the school nurse to cope with the situation? The poor girl seems to be in a very bad condition now."

โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ Faye scowled as Sienna shot words right back at her, curling her outreached hand into a fist. This girl was getting on everyone's nerves. She rolled her eyes. "I mean, I get that yous didn't know it was a letter, but why did you pick it up in the first place? Since you're so proud of your achievements in this field or whatever, why'd you stop helping her to pick up a piece of fecking scrap paper? You're hilarious, you twat."
Her hand dropped to her side, not bothering to look up to the blonde who, bless her, was seemingly the only one trying to keep control over the girl. It wasn't like she was going to slap her that hard! Just enough to wake her up. Now that she thought back, though, the idea wasn't that great, but neither had dumping a bucket of water on her.
"She better wake up soon, like. Dunno how long people can stay like this before they kick the bucke-"
The words were drowned out by a much nicer sound, and Faye whipped her head around in anticipation, her blonde hair promptly slamming gracefully into Sienna's person. Her lips curled up into a smile at the sight of Regina entering the Great Hall, almost making her forget that she was crouched in front of a completely knocked out girl, so when she turned her head back around and noticed the unresponsive Gryffindor she let out a quiet squeak.
Was it wrong to instinctively move towards Regina after her hand touched her shoulder? Her face fell as the comforting weight lifted off her, dropping from a crouch to sitting on the floor, legs curled underneath her, gaze directly on the ground by Ivy's feet. She looked up once to look at Regina, and then to the mysterious blonde, eyes darting up and down her face, before shooting back down to the floor.
Faye kept silent for a while until the sound of another, unrecognised voice came from behind the group, turning back through the gap in bodies to spot a Second Year Hufflepuff entering the scene, trying to be of some assistance. "What you can do to help right now is to fuck off, you tosspot." She raised her middle finger through the crowd. "Do us all a favour and go eat your fucking lunch. What do you think this massive congregation is for? We're not performing a sรฉance, for fucks sake. For starters, she's not dead yet-"

Rita was trying to help the poor fainted girl when a blonde girl wearing Ravenclaw robes also standing around the corner began to tell her to go away and eat her lunch in a very rude away, which made Rita really mad. "We don`t know each other! We`ve even never seen each other before! How dare this mean girl from Ravenclaw tell me to "fuck off" and call me "tosspot"? Such an asshole." Rita thought with anger, "I`d better leave the corner and go eat my lunch, before that girl began to use even worse words to me. I don`t want to get myself into trouble when I meet someone at the first time. Let those girls deal with the situation, there is nothing I can help here."
"Alright, I`ll go now. You girls can deal with that girl your way, I`ll go to have my lunch now. Bye." Rita stared at the blonde girl who was rude to her with anger while saying that, then go away to grab her food and enjoy her lunch. "You have my attention, you little mean Ravenclaw. I generally don`t want to be mean to people, but I know my boundaries. Be carefully, little eagle, don`t get yourself in trouble, or I`ll teach you a lesson you deserve to learn." Rita thought as she put some food into her mouth.

"Why don't you stop acting so defensive? You may not have realized this, but you can't be right all the time," she snapped in reply. The entire situation had escalated far more than Sienna had thought it would when she had first arrived at the scene. Sure, she had expected emotions to be a bit out of control considering the circumstances, but between the girls who were yelling at her for trying to help, the girl crying, and the others asking what to do it was sure becoming a mess.
Another girl joined the scene, asking whether or not she should get a professor. Sienna hadn't even seen her face before the other Ravenclaw took care of her, telling her to leave in less than kind words. She felt bad for the girl as her footsteps receded away from the group still surrounding Ivy. The Ravenclaw turned on Sienna again, picking up the yelling right where it had been left. "It seemed obvious no one was taking my advice, so when I saw it I picked it up. Why are you being so nosy as to my actions? All you've suggested is to slap the poor girl."
With all of the people crowded around yelling and screaming, Sienna suddenly felt like her throat was closing up. There were too many people, she couldn't breathe. She needed to get out of here, but she couldn't move either. She knew this feeling all too well, but hadn't experienced it for well over a year now. Her head swam and she put out a hand on the floor to steady herself. Her heart beat irregularly, way too fast to be considered normal. She could feel herself shaking in an uncontrollable movement. A wave of nausea overcame her body and she slumped to the floor, closing her eyes tightly and hoping it would all stop. She had no sense of Adelaide or any of the other girls anymore. Only of the immense dread circling inside her brain and her intense wish of it to end.

Regina rolled her eyes at her cousin's interrogation.
"I'm a duellist, Adelaide. Perhaps you should use less of your crude mouth and more of your brain which I know you must have."
It was only half of the truth. Yes, all of those individual training sessions plus with the team provided sufficient instructions on how to treat wounds and help an unconscious person. But there was something deeper there, something darker that Regina refused to let anybody know unless she explicitly trusted them. Something that had to do with shouting matches, spells being thrown between sisters and patching herself up after explosive fights at the Miller Manor. No, Adelaide Barlowe did not need to know how Regina had acquired the knowledge. And she never would, not with that attitude.
The third year Gryffindor did not spare the new person who just stumbled upon the congregation a single glance. Frankly, they were all making a dreadfully dramatic scene and there was no need for anybody else to interfere if they did not know how to help. Regina did give Faye an amused look when her Ravenclaw girlfriend spat out such firey words, she could be just as fierce as she was whimsical. Regina loved that. No one else would be a match for her own fire otherwise.
Suddenly, right after the intruder left, there were noises behind her back that prompted the Lion to take her focus off of her unconscious cousin and turned her head. The brunette whom Adelaide had mercilessly chewed out earlier was now hyperventilating on the ground in a heap. Regina resisted the urge to eyeroll once again and let out a harsh sigh as she looked back at Bellamy's still form, addressing the standing girls without a single gaze.
"Will somebody please get a responsible adult here before other people draw attention to themselves?" Her tone came out a little bit more mocking than she'd intended, but she honestly could not care less.

blackout
@samantha salwis @adelaide barlowe @lily blaze @sienna lenoir @june selwyn @faye simmons @regina millerThere was nothing but black for a few moments, like the blurry, greyed out stage in between dreams. Am I asleep? Ivy wondered. She couldn't quite remember anything or think straight... it was kind of nice. Blissful. And then there were voices, far off and distant. This was a peculiar dream. Was that June she heard? And Adelaide? They sounded distressed, she thought to herself dreamily. And was that the ceiling of the Great Hall? Ivy tried to move her hand to reach for one of the candles, but nothing happened. How odd. Wait, what was she even doing in the Great Hall? Maybe someone had moved her bed to the Great Hall for a prank. Ivy vaguely registered someone holding her hand and... shouting. Lots of shouting, actually. And - wait, was that Regina Miller?
Ivy opened her mouth to say something, but what actually came out of her mouth was more of an incomprehensible hum. Everything was going in and out of focus, and in an effort to regain her senses, she tried to push herself up into a sitting position. Evidently a bad idea, because as soon as she made any effort to move, her vision spun again and a wave of dizzying nausea hit her out of nowhere. "Merlin..." Ivy leaned to one side and gagged, but didn't actually throw up. Why did she feel like she had just been hit by a truck? Leaning forward to rest her head on a propped up hand and blinking rapidly as if trying to refocus, Ivy caught sight of some random girl lying on the floor near her. She rubbed her eyes. Was she seeing things? She was about to ask what the hell was going on when she saw Adelaide and the letter in her hands, and suddenly everything came crashing back down over her. Lillian, Noah, Everly, all of it.
'I'm sorry to be the bringer of bad news...'
Her expression changed instantly, from bewilderment to heartbreak. Ivy let out a choked sound from the back of her throat, as if she'd just been punched in the stomach, and instinctively drew her knees to her chest, not wanting to be touched. "Lillian," she said. Merlin, her head hurt so badly. Tears rolled down her cheeks. "I... I have to find..." Find what? Who? "I need... I need..." Ivy knew she wasn't making any sense, but she could barely breathe or think. Her chest was tight and she felt like she was suffocating and oh my god, why were there so many people? She looked at June and Adelaide, searching their faces for a sign that Noah's letter had just been a terrible nightmare and now she was awake and everything was fine, everything had to be fine because there was no way in hell that the universe had once again been so terrible and cruel and random, there was no way in hell that her older sister was actually dead because it made no sense, and oh god she really couldn't breathe she needed to getoutgetoutgetout of her head.
