- Reducio Guinevere: resident wasian baddie, perfectionist, perfectionist again... These descriptions were only the tip of the iceberg. She used to be all sorts of awkward and geeky, though thankfully that phase has passed. After succeeding and maintaining an excellent standing academically, she gained confidence and assurance. She is dedicated to her studies and at one point, had learned spells for the year above out of sheer interest and "love of the game." Her academic prowess is bluntly balanced out by the lack of success or flavor in the other aspects of her life. Her school life, to put it plainly, is drier than overcooked chicken, and her memories of dueling failure are best kept at the last nooks of her mind. Nonetheless, failure is what keeps her going, along with perhaps an ever-growing ego that just keeps telling her to yolo. Guinevere lives for competition, whether it is the cliché "you against you" scheme or with others. She is willing to push for what she wants, and usually has a clear goal in mind when going into something. Despite her blunt exterior and objective views, she appreciates other aspects of life too, such as art or social events. Her background in figure skating and cello gave her both an athletic edge and an affinity for the beautiful things, and she also dabbles in fashion, though on a smaller scale. At school, she does not have many close friends, one of her regrets being not being able to initiate lasting friendships earlier on, but this fomo is only present at certain times during the year. |

---A. Somewhere in Scotland Guinevere was born in Stirling to Sol II Russetwood and Hana Song, two years after her brother William. She spent most of her childhood here, often exploring the backwoods and countryside. ---B. City Girl Korea, as well as her family's Korean side, was a big part of Guinevere's early life, and still is. The Song family estate lies in Gangneung, a city with both the mountains and the sea. She often visits with her mother and brother during summers, as her father finds the "muggle-ness" hard to adjust to. In Korea, she also frequents Seoul, a city where she can disappear in the bright neon signs and crowds of people, something she doesn't experience during the school year.

Besides sending her to muggle school, extracurricular classes, and figure skating, Guinevere also took up piano, then quit and was put into cello. Reducio Other misc backstory... The Russetwoods are an old pureblood clan with high status that originated around the 1750's. Lukas Russetwood II first brought the name to it's current status in 1789 with unprecedented success in his endeavors. Over the years and gradually into the 2000's, the Russetwoods maintained their status, though those who decided to marry half-bloods or muggleborns were not looked down upon; Lukas Russetwood's dying wish that his family wouldn't become like the other snobby blood-elitist purebloods were fulfulled. The Songs were originally a Chinese clan, dating back to the first century AD. They were sucessful and ruled over the whole of China, until the invasion of Mongols, which almost ended the line. However, a few escaping members fled to Korea, living in hiding and only trying to continue their legacy around half a decade later. Slowly growing sucessful once again, later generations mostly lived on as rather wealthy muggles. Sol Russetwood II met Hana Song after he had graduated from Hogwarts. He was staying in his parents' home, having not yet moved out. One day, when wandering the forests, he came across a muggle girl of similar age and her parents, who were staying at Scotland for the summer holiday. They quickly became friends, and soon fell in love with each other, and were married a year after they met. Hana quickly got used to having magic around the house to do things, despite being muggle herself. Two years later, Hana had her first child William, who eventually became a Slytherin. Another two years passed, and Hana had her second child, Guinevere. During her childhood years, Hana enrolled Guinevere in many classes teaching her Korean, English, maths, and literature. Her brother would tell her stories about Hogwarts, and her relatives also visited often. After six years old, Guinevere would be sent to a muggle school, where her brother also went. Her muggle classmates didn't know she was magical, as her parents had told her and her brother to not reveal anything about their heritage to their classmates, since it was better for muggles to remain oblivious to magic. Guinevere also made friends with some kids that lived close to her, who ended up moving to america to study at Ilvermorny when they were eleven, and their names were Runa and Clarissa. They were very close, and sometimes went on trips to places together. This would lead to Guinevere's first discovery of her magic. Along with school, her mother taught her other things like how to tell how people were feeling. It was also during her elementary years when she first found her love for reading and writing, and learnt how to play the cello and how to figure skate. Guinevere's first instance of magic was she was going hiking with her friend Runa and her family. Whilst they were using sticks to pretend-fight each other near the edge, Runa accidentally poked Guinevere too hard, and Guinevere backed up and fell straight over the edge of the trail and into the lake, 60 meters up. Instead of dying of whiplash, she entered the surface with close to no sound and was able to swim back to shore with minor injuries. They were all quite surprised when they had climbed down to the water's surface, and assumed it must be her magic kicking in, but they would have to wait for another instance to be sure. Thus, another instance of magic happened four weeks after the first; Guinevere and her muggle school's bully was exchanging insults when Guinevere felt a flare of anger towards the boy and made his shoes searing hot. This made her get into trouble with the boy's parents and the teacher, but she didn't mind since this was the sign of magic was the one that indicated to the Russetwoods that Guinevere was indeed a witch. Mental Description. Born as the Larkspur heir apparent, Keira quickly learnt that power was a fragile thing that could disappear in the blink of an eye. She looks down on those who back away from it, and is often percieved as intense, unapproachable, and sometimes stubborn.
Keira is not easily intimidated and never really scared of anything, but prefers to calculate the whole game before the first move is made, to be prepared for anything that may come her way, as a result of constant competition between her and Ivangelin.
Keira is a rather anti-social person, with a small but tight group of friends. It is somewhat hard for her to make friends, as she always is distrustful of new people, and as she learnt from a young age, power and knowledge is lonely, and over the years has gotten used to the silence. Her friends are those she sees potential and worthy allies in, who are able to understand her rather strange and dark sense of humor.
She is no blood elitist, and believes blood should not be something to measure one’s worth with.
Biography. Keira Ryth Larkspur is the second-oldest of the four children of Astoria Hyacinth and Matthias Larkspur. she has two brothers and a sister; raging from eldest to youngest they are Idris, Ivangelin, and Damon.
Astoria Hyacinth is the last heir of the Hyacinth lineage, and was betrothed to Matthias Larkspur when she was eighteen by her father. Keira’s parents’ marriage had no love in it, just the uniting of two wealthy clans for power and strength. Shortly after, they had their first son, Idris, two years before Keira and Ivangelin and a year later, Damon was born.
Keira’s relationship with her first family is complicated at best. Idris is closest to her, perhaps because she is sure he will not pose any threat to her. Keira is mistrustful and dislikes her sister Ivangelin, and looks down upon Damon as weak. The young heir is boringly dry to her relatives and their wealthy pureblood friends, sticking to diplomacy and monotonous syllables.
Keira had a rather strange childhood. From the moment she was five, she was learning ahead of her peers under her parents’ watchful eyes to fit perfectly into an image of a powerful pureblood heiress. She constantly was facing off head-to-head with Ivangelin, who was running the extra mile to try to prove that she could be the better heir, leading to extreme feelings towards her sister. At age eight, she started goinng on trips around the wizarding globe to give her a better understanding of the world, as a future leader should, and age nine was when Keira experienced her first instance of accidental magic.
First Instance of Magic.
It is a fine day, rather boring and unassuming, and Keira is alone in the vast Larkspur mansion. Idris is away at Hogwarts, and Ivangelin has gone off to 'teach' Damon about all the things she has learnt, or so she says to Keira, and so she has the whole place to herself.
Astoria and Matthias have told her that she must read in the library for the time that they are gone, so Keira does so, but not before noticing a dark-spined diary laying open on Lin's desk. She approaches it, and after reading the first sentences, Keira's nine-year-old heart swells with hate towards her sister. How dare Ivangelin say that she "wishes to get rid of Kir because she is getting the most attention," and that she "vow(s) to outdo her in anything we(they) do"? Keira accepts none but the best at what she does, and Lin clearly knows. It is clearly Keira's destiny to be the Larkspur heir!
In her fury, the pages beneath her hands start burning red hot and blackening at the edges, and before long, the journal was a heap of ashes. Realizing what she has done, she feels no pity for the journal or her sister, just pride that she has finally gotten her first instance of magic before her.

Mental Description. Xia's family valued intellect as a sign of superiority, which left her with the idea that she must do everything to 110% of her ability. Xia is very competetive, determined, and loyal, but can also be stubborn and harsh on herself because of always wanting to have or be the best at something. She seems rather cold and closed off (which is because she actually is), and takes a while to warm up to someone. Xia has a tendency to doubt herself a lot, which is from the competetive environment she grew up in. Some may call it 'childhood trauma,' but Xia likes to joke around, saying it's her villain origin backstory.
