Summer Camp 2022 Arrival/General Info

SUMMER CAMP 2022

August 1st 2022- 10 am

It was an early morning start for many students across the UK, and for their magical friends across the world. After time away from the chaos and drama of school, today was the day they would arrive at Summer Camp 2022.

Everyone would arrive at the London stadium in their own unique way. Some would prefer muggle transport, others would fly via brooms, and some would arrive via Ministry-approved portkeys.

Meanwhile, the Summer Planning Committee and the members of staff available to attend Summer Camp (who had all arrived the day previous to begin the long process of setting everything up) were still so busy so early in the morning. They had been running around trying to prepare everything before what was guaranteed to be a busy arrival of all the students for the next few hours.

Evelynn Decipio and Allison Krug would be right at the entrance, registering the students as they arrived, handing them an information leaflet for the summer, a map of the stadium, and an itinerary (all enchanted so the words could be understood by students from all across the world) before directing them to tent sign-ups and event sign-ups.

Welcome to the London Quidditch Stadium, where you will be spending the next month! This August, prepare to relax, make new friends, and, above all else, have fun!
There will be a variety of different activities on offer this summer, for all witches and wizards! As well as being able to witness the thrilling Inter-School Quidditch, Duelling and Broom Racing Matches, there's a Triathlon and Capture the Jolly Roger for the sports-wizards; Truth or Dare and Twirl the Flagon for those more chilled; Prank Wars for the inner child in us all; of course the classic Campfires and the infamous welcome BBQ!
This year, we have organised a new tent system, which will allow you to sign up and stay with your friends. You are free to decorate the tents with your tent-mates however you wish (within reason-of course). The normal protective measures have been taken, and the standard protection charms have been cast. The curfew is set at 8:30 pm unless specified. There will be warnings 15 minutes in advance to ensure plenty of time to follow this. You can leave your tents after 6:30 am. You are not allowed into tents that are not your own. For safety reasons, you cannot leave the London Quidditch Stadium, and we have wards that will stop you if you try.
Meals will be served at the same time as at Hogwarts, and a variety of foods will be on offer to cater to all the students here. Feel free to explore and try new foods!
There are many areas for students to associate around the stadium, as well as the stadium itself. However, when matches are in progress, you will not be permitted to enter and will be told to go to the stands.
The same rules at Hogwarts apply to camp, and the appropriate sanctions will occur if rules are broken.
However, despite all the rules and regulations, this is a place to have fun, make friends, and enjoy the summer!

Kim Sato and Judith Cohen would be over at a table designated for tent sign-ups, dealing with multiple people as they would approach to sign up for different tents that had been set up throughout the stadium (these would be moved for certain events).

In charge of event sign-ups were Pax Zhang and Pericles Dralt, who would be stood by a long table of various parchments that had been laid out, each detailing different events that were on offer this upcoming month. Between them, they offered advice and extra information to anybody who had questions, encouraging them to participate when the sign-up sheets would be released.

Finally, as the clock struck ten, the gates opened, and the students flooded inside. Summer Camp 2022 had officially begun.

Permission to god-mod Evelynn Decipio, Allison Krug, Judith Cohen, Kim Sato and Pericles Dralt was given by all mentioned above.

OOC Guidelines:

• This thread is merely a directory as to where things are. Events, tent info and timetables will be linked below.
• If either your PC or iNPC attend Summer Camp, you are required to be there for the entirety of the camp. If this contradicts any plans you currently have for the summer, then it is advised you do not attend.
• All students attending Summer Camp (PCs and iNPCs) are told/will know the above information upon arrival.
• IC dates are from August 1st to August 31st (foreign students pack up and leave)/September 1st (all Hogwarts students pack up and are taken to King's Cross Station to return to Hogwarts)
• If you would like to just have general interactions with students at camp IC, then make them in the London Quidditch Stadium.
• All OOC rules onsite normally still apply (e.g. word count (unless stated differently in events), site rating). If these are broken you will receive the appropriate consequences.
