INTERNATIONAL SUMMER DUELLING TOURNAMENT

RULES

This match follows the rules of the Duelling System, with some slight adjustments:

• There are three parties participating.
• Players fall unconscious when they drop below 20% of their maximum HP, rather than 10%.
• The team that has no player left standing first ranks third, the second team to have both players knocked out places second. If two or more teams are still participating in the duel when the 12 round time limit has passed, their placement will be decided by higher total health percentage.
• Reminder that you cannot use spells of your new year, only spells of your previous year (including any acquired with a Prodigal ability before graduation).
• The following spells have received clarification to adjust to the higher number of players and teams: Fumos, Metelojinx, Lumos Maxima, Cracker Jinx, Ventus
  
  Reducio

  Fumos: The smoke affects four randomly chosen, conscious players (can include caster).
  
  Metelojinx: The caster needs to choose which opposing team to summon the cloud over. If countered by Ventus, the caster can choose which opposing team to blow the cloud towards.
  
  Lumos Maxima: Affects all opponents
  
  Cracker Jinx: The 20% spread chance will automatically affect the target's partner. If that partner is unconscious, there is no spreading effect.
  
  Ventus: The auto-split will target a random opponent from either team (excluding the original target).

Ah yes, another summer meant another championship of the best of the best duellists. This year there had actually been a tie between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, leaving both of them to battle against the visitors. A very vague, very cool student from some house stepped up to the piste to moderate as Willow was at home googling puberty and gender and things like that. A true loss for the nine duellists that were about to face off. It was sure to be chaos, it was sure to be ruin, it was sure to be entertaining. "Keep it civil, keep it as safe as you can within the duelling confines. You know the rules. Begin!" Vague Duelling Mod McGee looked between all of the duellists to make sure they were prepared before mimicking Willow's starting motion of a dramatic chop. Had they taken advice from her?

2. In the same time period, send me (Willow Anderson) your team's actions per owl. Do not hint at your actions in your post.

Doing as strategized.

As per typical, the young wizard was beaming at the start of this exciting matchup! Tom had recovered from his loss (and forfeit) against the Slytherins upon realizing that, despite it, his team had managed to win the championship! Better yet, that win was shared! It was an odd sentiment for the typically self-absorbed Thomas to have, but considering his best friend's position on the Gryffindor team perhaps it made some semblance of sense. Stepping up to the plate when the time arose, the short boy put his hands on his hips and stood in a power pose, basking in the glory that was an international competition.

A few familiar faces were on the piste with him--even among the international students, was that the girl he was in chess combat with all those years ago? Thomas was practically vibrating with enthusiasm. Before him were, in his eyes, the best sorts of odds. The sort wherein he couldn't really determine who was most likely to win, with another team on the piste that elevated the difficulty of anticipating strategies even more. It was exhilarating!

"Today's a great day to be a duelist," he said with utmost confidence. "Even better day to be a Ravenclaw. We've got this in the bag." Thomas flashed a grin at the dueling moderator, their mannerisms seemed vaguely familiar... This would be some lovely fun, he was truly in high spirits.

This was going to be chaos, Delilah could tell already, 3 teams? This could literally go in any way, her eyes flicked between the other 8 people standing in the somewhat triangular formation. Out of curiosity, Delilah then wondered what would happen if any 2 spells hit each other in the directory in the middle of where they were standing.

This was their challenge for winning...or well drawing.. first for the championship, facing off against the Gryffindors and the folk from other schools, they had to win, it was bad enough losing to slytherin last year but this time around, they had to win, they had earned it, right?

"Let's get them guys, show them what the eagles can do!" She said with a grin, turning to her teammates, even if they didn't win though, this would certainly still be a learning experience.
