| • PERSONALITY _ Anastasia grew up in a manor, away from everyone but her family. Which meant that the only children she saw growing up were her two cousins. She was taught good manners at a young age, so she quickly became that quiet, curious, music, art, and literature loving little girl. She always had a fast and logical mind, developed by playing chess with her father. Growing up in a not-so caring, not-so loving household, Anastasia grew to almost hate physical contact, only allowing hugs from her cousins, she doesn't really like to talk and could be seen as asocial. _ When on her own, Anastasia like to write, to draw, to read, or to play piano. She loves being alone, with her spider, background classical music or silence, while rain in pounding outside. She used to want to make her parents proud of her, but when her father died, she started not to care about anything. But now her mother expects her to be perfect so she tries to live up to her mother's high expectations. It's hard, but she manages it. She has a terrible sleep schedule, doesn't eat much, but has perfect grades in every subjects, so everything is good to her mother's eyes. |

= | • APPEARANCE _ "I'm just a ghost". This quote from "Morph", Twenty Øne Pilots, could be used as a description of Anastasia. A little bit short, and very thin, the girl has a sickly pale complexion that has zero acne. Her naturally black hair arrives at the middle of her back. She has dark grey eyes, underlined by heavy dark circles. Her piercing gaze is enhanced by her sharp jawline and straight nose. Her light pink lips hide four tooth-sized gaps, where pointy fangs can come out if she really wants them to. _ Anastasia walks noiselessly, has a regal stance, and a low voice with a heavy Scottish accent. She usually wears dark colours, with large knitted jumpers and suit-pants. She does not tan, she burns, and is allergic to many things (strawberries, orange, dust, and bee and wasp stings). The girl doesn't smile or laugh au lot, and when she does, it's either sad or sarcastic. She is not very talkative, and will do anything to stay alone. She hates physical contact, except when it comes from trusted ones, and does everything to avoid contact with others. |

===A love story between a Pureblood and a vampire. A love story that evolved in a marriage and the birth of a child. The child, you guessed it, is Anastasia Varney. January 1st, 2010. Mathilda Blackwood-Varney and Andrew Varney have been living in their estate on Eigg island for a few years now. The estate is huge, with a big manor, gardens, and a small lake. January 1st, 2010. Mathilda gives birth to her first and only child, Anastasia Varney. The girl, obviously, is not fully human. She is not fully vampire either. A dhampir was born on that day, and her father stayed with her, because he loved his wife, already loved his daughter. He didn't care about the consequences of this choice. He will care twelve years after. ===They were not loving parents. Sure, they cared. But they didn't love. Anastasia received a good education, studied English, French, Russian, mathematics, history, geography, science, art, and music. She played chess with her father, danced with her mother. But she wasn't loved. Her parents didn't really show affection. Maybe it was in their nature to be cold and distant. Maybe they were scarred that their daughter grew emotionally weak. Either way, Anastasia had very few social contacts growing up. It was always mother, father, Vikka and Tinky, Peter and Elizabeth, and most of the time, herself. Growing up, the girl passed a lot of time outside, in the gardens, laying down in the grass, swimming in the lake, standing in the rain or the wind, watching the stars. ===She was five years old the first time she did magic. Anastasia was playing with her dolls in her room, but she was bored. Her mother didn't want her to use real tea to play tea party with her dolls so the little girl was a little bit annoyed. She still tried to play like is actual tea was in the teapot. The girl wanted to go outside, but it was raining, and lightning could be seen in the dark sky. Anastasia was really starting to get upset, getting a little bit brutal while serving imaginary tea in the porcelain tea cups. She put the teapot back on the ground so hard that the lid bounced of, and little flames lit up around it. The girl screamed, which alerted her mother who came in, a little bit unbothered. Mathilda looked around, and smiled proudly. ===After that, Anastasia knew she could make her parents proud, so deceiving them was not an option anymore. Well, it never was but now it was more official. She did what her parents asked her to do, behaved, was the quiet and smart little witch that was expected of her. To be honest, she thought that all of this was normal. They never went on vacation, except to see family in the Scottish Highlands. She never saw other kids, except for her cousins. She read and wrote poetry at eight years old. She was taught that muggles were powerless and that is was a waste of time to talk to them. Receiving her Hogwarts' letter was something that made her mother proud, and Anastasia knew that. She knew that to keep this pride, she would have to work hard and have perfect grades in every subjects. Failure wasn't a word in the girl's vocabulary and she was not going to let down her parents. Entering Ravenclaw meant she was smart, Anastasia knew she was smart. Now, she was going to do as usual, study hard, be perfect in class, watch the rain, read. |
