Vibrant shades of orange, red and yellow had rippled through Hogwarts for weeks, signalling the shift in seasons and the imminent onset of winter. But, for the moment yet, fall had gripped the school and with it so too had its spirit. The fall of leaves would have enraptured many students, their tumble toward the Earth having provided a spectacle, leaving the ground coloured more akin to a flame than the subtle tones of emerald that had greeted young eyes with the start of the school year. But, the height of autumn meant more than just the imminent chilling of the winds and the thinning of the veil between living and dead, for those of a more rural stock, there was a far more prescient reason to celebrate. For the time of the harvest was upon them.

delicate yet harsh. Above it all, float intricately carved pumpkin lanterns, the enchantment upon them causing them to dance from place to place, their light casts an eerie glow, the flicker of the fire doused somewhat by the ominous weather. In the distance a storm brews, yet it has slowly begun to cross the precipice and onto the campus itself. The swirling mix of dark grey and black above obscure the constellations, and across the Great Lake amass further clouds, their intimidating forms slowly moving toward the festival upon the brisk autumn wind. Biting air blows through across the grounds, at times rustling fabrics and throwing hay asunder, whilst at others it comes to a complete standstill. However, should a student wish to overlook the risk of rain, they would be greeted by a veritable feast of activities and colour.

Whilst the festival itself may not be entirely true to the ancient pagan traditions of Samhain, its influences touch lightly upon the celebration of the harvest and the coming arrival of the darker months of the year. A final farewell to the warmth of summer and an expression of gratitude for the bounty of the harvest.

So, would you dare to try? Perhaps you want to prove to your annoying classmate that you were simply not meant to be. Perhaps you want to gain reassurance that your date to the Ball would be more than a one-evening escapade… Either way, many hearts were bound to rejoice while others could break on this autumn night.
All these muds are making me eel (Grounds)
Should a student so wish, then they can challenge themselves, or their friends, to venture forth into the mud. A true test of skill, both in their ability to discern the eels and to actually grab the slimy fish, was set before them. The question would simply be who would be able to grab the writhing creatures and deposit them neatly in the barrels.
Darling, you look radishing (Grounds)
Small little plots of ready to harvest crops have been planted in even rows, separated from one another by tracts of dirt, allowing for students to wander through the rows without fear of trodding over the vegetables.

The young part goblin sulked as he walked towards the grounds. He noticed that surrounding him was of a orange, yellow, and red vibrant colored trees, grass begun to appear as if it was drying out. His lips were cracked, and he knew what day it was. It was time for frolicking and celebrating. Well, to Cody it was. When others would assume any different, he loved to follow the idea of a rather popular Muggle catchphrase.
Trick or Treat.
Oh the boy would chant that line, as well as a few additional sentences. Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat, if you, I don't care.
Oh, he had a ton of fun dealing with pranks this semester, already. He loved to talk to everyone who arrived earlier that month, specifically, most of them were Mahoutokoko students.
Looking behind him, he saw the castle of Hogwarts. Indeed, it was a pretty sight, for such a small boy like Cody. If anyone were to approach him, he was three foot ten inches, of course.
He made yet another turn, facing the muddy corner, which seemed to be one of the normally clean and... tidy spot. A farm has been formed! Of course, this was all to celebrate Samhain! Or the harvest. Would they all dance joyfully around the plentiful bounty? That would be possible, it was Hogwarts after all. And what would Hogwarts be, if they didn't show all the amazing things that Hogwarts had to present, maybe to make the other students of different schools jealous.
BONFIRES WERE PRESENT! The boy squealed with delight. After all, what kind of Hufflepuff would he be if he didn't play with fire? He smiled upon his approach. The fire seemed to lighten his mood.
A tent set up that wasn't even remotely close to the bonfire, how disappointing, was eerily labeled, "Matchmaker Booth." Cody noticed Ari, the only person who apparently showed up for the Halloween feast that he had several weeks prior. "Hey!"

Interacting with No One at the moment
Serena arrived at the ball early, perhaps even one of the earliest visitors. This was not because she was keen. It was because she A. had no one else to go with, so she had no one to wait for and meet up beforehand and B. she needed a distraction from the thoughts in her mind. Not all of them were related to her but a lot had happened in the past couple of months and she was spending most evenings just trying to process everything - and in some cases, get over the really awkward or otherwise negative feelings. A harvest festival sounded like a good distraction.
For a moment, she had considered not even bothering to come. But this did not sound like an ordinary ball, it sounded like an actual festival that she could partake in a bunch of different activities without having to awkwardly socialise with anyone. That really helped make her choice.
Dressed in a yellow jumper, a pair of jeans and a hat to protect from the warmth - whilst covering her pointy ears - Serena entered the ball. It was not 'plaid' or really 'harvesty' but she was not super fussed about dressing to the theme. After all, no one was really going to pay attention to her anyway so, why did it matter? Who was she meant to dress to impress by wearing a fancy ball gown or whatever other people planned on wearing? She had dressed for comfort. It also helped her to move easily, so she could work on one of her missions. Serena also had a bunch of metal surrounding her body, with a pair of metal boots that covered her feet and a pair of wristbands over her jumper. Her wand was tucked into one of the wristbands, as though it had an actual slot for it. Her pet sat on her shoulder and she had a small bag on her hip that was slightly larger on the inside, containing a few items that she might need (mentioned in inventory below).
The area looked so much different compared to what she had been used to. Serena could hear the crunching of the leaves as she walked through the grounds, looking around at what was present. The mud was actually something that appealed to her. She was not afraid of getting dirty and nature was far more fascinating to her than people. People... hurt each other far more.
She paused as she saw something about eels. A tilt of her head... Was it...? The curiosity and the unanswered questions drew her attention. With that, she immediately turned and started to head off into that direction.

Winnie Harper had long since forgotten the first ball she attended, and that lost memory carried with it the knowledge of what to do and what not to do when attending a Hogwarts' ball. The first broken rule came in the form of the shiny pink block heels she wore on her feet, giving the girl two extra inches of height. They were just her style too; with the thin strap fastening around her ankle, with a dainty bow acting as the cherry-on-top. Her date happened to be quite a bit taller than she was, and she did not want to spend the night on her tiptoes every time they danced or kissed.
She found herself regretting her choice in footwear as her heels sunk into the fading green grass, the dying poaceae a sign that the cruel bite of Winter was waiting around the corner. Considering the rest of Winnie's outfit, it looked like she had not gotten the memo. She wore a long tulle skirt, pink in colour, of course, the sheer shimmering fabric sported a faint plaid design and was draped over more layers, giving the flowing fabric shape. White lace was carefully sewn around the neck of the top, the smocking technique pulling the fabric tight against her form. Large bows decorated the arms of the piece, crafted with white sheer fabric.
Long gone were her usual copper-red tresses; her hair for the evening had been transformed into a golden blonde, thanks to the wand work of Winnie's dorm mate, Aurora (Aurora agreed to this OC). Pulled back, the curls had been loosely plaited down to her mid-back, with the rest of her hair cascading down her back in loose curls. She had carefully placed several flower pins into the folds of the plait, perhaps emulating a Spring theme more than an Autumn theme, but it would not be a Winnie outfit without floral elements.
Fastened around her neck was the simple golden heart locket that her grandparents had given her for her birthday last month. Draped over her shoulder was the Gucci strawberry bag that the Gryffindor captain, Evelynn, had given her for her birthday. Inside was several normal items for 'girl emergencies', such as a spare tube of strawberry lip balm, a compact mirror, extra hairpins, oil blotting paper, and breath mints. Of equal importance was the girl's aspen wood wand, and a small knife she had stored in one of the pockets as a small security. Perhaps most interesting was a small box that had been carefully wrapped in pink and pink polka dot gift wrap. Its intended recipient, Mathias Pride, was the reason Ravenclaw stood near the festival's entrance, her fingers fidgeting with the tips of her hair as she anxiously awaited his presence.

Gabriella Haworth hadn't made many plans for the autumn ball. Lately, the Ravenclaw had found that she hadn't been seeing nearly as much of her friends as she would have liked to have been - in fact, she hadn't really seen anyone, much. It wasn't like Gabby was turning into a recluse - or at least, she hoped not - she just hadn't been seeing much of anyone. Even in the last few days, when the visiting schools had been at Hogwarts, Gabriella hadn't spoken much, even to the international students whom she usually felt so excited to meet. It wasn't all quiet, though. The Quidditch match of a few days previously had been a real highlight to the young Ravenclaw, and, looking back on it, the result didn't even matter that much - Gabby just felt energised to be back in the skies.
Secretly, Gabriella supposed, as she got dressed into her rustic autumnal dress, she wished someone had asked her out. It wasn't that she was particularly interested in dating, as such - it would just have been a nice thing to happen to her, and, as she styled her hair into elaborate curls, Gabriella still hoped that some prince might scoop her up at the ball tonight. Therefore, she made just a tiny bit more care with her dress than she usually might have done, and even put on a small amount of mascara which she had borrowed from a dorm-mate - something she was not prone to doing, usually.
The night was crisp and cold, and magic hung in the October air as Gabriella made her solitary way down to the Quidditch pitch, where the ball would be held. The grounds, to Gabby's delight, had been transformed - the epitome of autumnal majesty: lanterns made from fresh, ripe pumpkins hanging in the air, the ominous clouds brooding in the skies above, excitable students in long flowing gowns milling around in groups around a cluster of vibrant toadstools, or a crackling bonfire, or a tent shrouded in an eerie, ghostly light. One of these tents, guarded by a feisty blue bonfire whose flames almost seemed to lick against the canvas of the tent itself, had a sign outside it bearing the legend Matchmaking Booth. For a moment, Gabby was almost tempted to go in to see what treasures she might find inside - but then thought better of it. No, if she was to meet someone tonight, it would be completely spontaneously, not a forced event prearranged in some infernal Matchmaking Booth, probably under the supervision of teachers. Sure, Gabriella's views on the Matchmaking Booth had changed significantly within the space of ten seconds, but that was just the person Gabby was.
The largest tent by far was situated over the Quidditch pitch, and it was there that Gabby was destined to go - she had quickly scanned the scene upon entering the grounds, and there was not yet anyone she knew there - so, she quickly skated through the melee of students and into the large marquee.STATS

Ari was cold even before he left the West Tower. It felt as though the cool autumn air had found its way into the school, a reminder of the approach of the end of the calendar year.
As he tied his bright red necktie, he looked out the window in his dorm room, smiling at the array of fall colors scattered across the campus. Tonight was definitely going to be magical, no pun intended. With a quick pull of the finished tie, he grabbed his coat and left for the school grounds.
The moment he opened the doors and stepped outside the comfort of the school, a gust of wind blasted him in the face, chilling him even further. He bundled himself up tighter and hustled quickly to the grounds. The quicker he could get to somewhere warm, the better.
Ari wandered around the school grounds, taking in all the sites and sounds. There were leaves of all shades of red, orange, and yellow. Lights scattered across the sky, casting welcoming glows to those just arriving. The sky was dark with clouds, and this was a pleasant contrast.
Soon, he found himself caught between the Matchmaking Booth at the Quidditch Pitch and the massive bonfire that reached to the heavens. The bonfire looked a lot more pleasing to his eye, as it was warm. He started to make his way there, but a voice greeted him. It made him flinch.
"Hey!" the voice called. Ari turned around to see Cody Stevenson. He'd stumbled upon the boy's Halloween feast in the courtyard a few weeks prior. He'd seemed very lonely.
"Hello, Cody. Glad to see you again," Ari said with a genuine smile. He was pleased to see a familiar face. The wind blew again, moving his shaggy black hair over his glasses annoyingly. "Are you having fun so far?"

Nerves wracked him, cold sweat covered his palms and his heart was beating so fast that he was surprised that he could still hear the rhythm. He’d spoken to the girl before, a number of times in fact, and had no issue with showing her how he had felt. Granted, at those times, he had been feeling mostly rage or annoyance, or some combination of the two emotions, and he’d shown her through a variety of insults. This was all together different. They weren’t engaging as enemies, or whatever their odd song and dance over the past few months had been. No, Nicholas McCowan was to escort Aurora Ranvier to the Fall Ball… as her date.
He tried desperately to psyche himself up for the task, to put the constant doubts out of his head. He was more than prepared for the task, there was nothing to worry about, it wasn’t a date date. Well, it was, she had been sure to make sure that he knew that. But that didn’t mean it had to mean anything. Did it? Did he want it to? He probably did. That thought alone, one of the forbidden ones he did not allow himself to dwell on, was hastily thrown out of his head and replaced with the more familiar sense of impending panic.
He’d wandered toward the Ravenclaw Tower prior to the ball itself, having figured that going with the girl to the ball meant that they were quite literally to go together. He’d neglected to think of what to give her until a few moments prior to the meeting itself, and had swiftly rushed off toward the assembled Harvest Festival to rip a chrysanthemum from its place in the ground. A token flower, but a flower all the same.
His mouth was dry, and his free hand constantly ran through his hair, tussling the combed brown mop. Nicholas hadn’t opted to cut his hair for the ball, but he’d certainly brushed it, a task that was entirely foreign to him. Tangles and knots had been forcibly ripped from his scalp, but the result was a mattering of hair that seemed to fit his human form more than it did a shaggy dog. As far as he was concerned, that was a great success. His outfit was nothing special, a more ritzy version of the clothing he normally wore, her suggestion, not his. He put on a red flannel, as he so often did, but the denim that he’d chosen to accompany it was relatively expensive and well made. Moreover, he’d departed with his falling apart desert boots for a genuine leather number, practically unworn. He hoped to all that was holy that he looked okay.
A rosy blush wouldn’t only deepen across his cheeks as students exited the Ravenclaw dorms and made their way past him, making it extremely clear what his intentions were. By the time Aurora came down, he’d be near-scarlet. Yet the embarrassment did not reach his eyes, the determination in those orbs causing them to look straight ahead.
“Hi,” He choked out, before hastily thrusting the flower toward her, “You look good.” And she did, the odd rubber footwear she wore notwithstanding.
The words struggled to reach his lips, the nerves threatening to consume him, “Uh, shall we go?”
He offered an arm as if to escort her like a proper lady, although he hardly felt like a proper gentleman, he never quite did. The lessons he’d had in etiquette at least bore some fruit, even if he never had any opportunity to use them. His mother would be aghast at the fact he was wearing denim to a ball, even if it was ostensibly on theme.
The ball itself had come together quite nicely, if he did say so himself, a sense of pride welled in his stomach at what the team of organisers had put together. Here was hoping that nothing went and ruined the entire event.

#274782 Blue in English, #a62b2b Red in KoreanEun-ji was a bit nervous. She always was when it came to big events. It's okay, Aaron will be there and you know Dee as well. She nodded to herself while inspecting her final image in the mirror. She was wearing a long white dress Mrs. Hunt sent her. It was relatively simple in design, which she asked for after learning the theme, but of course, there had to be a gold embroidery at least. That woman just couldn't choose anything plain looking, could she? The witch sighed, placing a simple white flower crown on top of her head. She had gotten a gold tiara to go with her outfit but she refused to wear that one. It would be an absolute overkill. She also avoided the shiny necklace and instead spent time interweaving her long black hair with the delicate Baby's-breath flowers. She felt the natural accessories would fit the theme much better than the insanely expensive jewellery.
"All done...you be a good boy, okay Mordred?" The cat on her bed meowed lazily. It didn't seem like he had any big plans for the evening. Unlike her. Right...I should go. She was supposed to meet Aaron there and she always made sure to be on time. Should I fetch Dee and go with her? Her brain was going a million miles a minute. No, I would be late. Jack probably told her to meet him there too. Not to mention Dee might have not even known, she would be the second girl. Even she herself had asked Aaron about Dealla’s identity quite recently and didn’t have time to ask her fellow Ravenclaw anything. Never mind, we’ll see each other there or meet somewhere on the way.
Descending the long staircase seemed much easier now that her foot injury was gone. Eun-ji was glad Aaron talked some sense into her. Her reasoning sounded so flawed now that she was all healed up and pain free. At least I can run away if things get too awkward. This one, she didn't believe. It would be true in the past but if there was one good thing Mrs. Hunt's presence taught her, it was resilience... and a tad more courage than she used to have. Yeah...while it would still be unpleasant, Eun-ji firmly believed she could handle any uncomfortable social situations now. That and she was pretty sure Aaron would be a great help in that regard as well.
When the Ravenclaw finally arrived to the meeting point, she was once again blown away by the decorations. She knew this was a world of magic but it never ceased to amaze her what it could come up with in the hands of creative individuals. Everything looked so amazing! The food, decorations and even the fun activities. Add the staff and students showing of their unique outfits and you had trouble figuring out which way to look first. No no no…Eun-ji knew what or rather WHO to look for first. She needed to find either Dee or Aaron. She didn’t really know Jack that well except for seeing him in classes but apparently the boys were coming together so that shouldn’t be a problem. Now where were they? She came too early, didn’t she? OOC note: Her hair actually reach all the way to her lower back...the picture is more for the dress reference :-)

Nobody would have planned for things to have found themselves the way they did. Alec certainly hadn't. Having plans to go to the ball and maybe hang out with some friends. Create light mischief, maybe go a bit far a freak people out for the sake of it. Easy to do, easy to get done. It's a quick in and out thing. He hadn't been sure if he was going to stay after he was done. He didn't care all that much about a ball. They had them so often that at points it seemed meaningless. It was a staple thing for the first years of course. The fall ball was their introduction to the world of Hogwarts and ball-going, and good on them, Alec didn't have to stay to let them have their fun. He could go do other things. He'd been meaning to work on that Joke Jar, he figured some field testing may be of use for those who'd decided to stay back in the Gryffindor commons.
However as fate would see it, plans would change, and rather fortunately or unfortunately for Alec, he was going to the ball with Hanako. The situation felt rather messy, and explaining it was opening a can of worms nobody wanted to hear about. It was Alec doing stupid things and with these stupid things finding himself with a surprise date. Alec didn't want a date, he never had, never at any of the other balls and he had a hard time understanding those who would, and here he was. The second thing he had a problem with is that if he was ever going to take a date, It wasn't going to be a guy. Yet Hanako just so happened to be one. Alec would have had less resistance if it had been a girl but no, blimey Hana was a guy, and Alec was going with him to the ball.
Alec didn't want to think of the implications. Or the things people were going to assume because he was going with a guy and shoved it aside. He'd decided early on he had two options. he could just say flat out Hana was his date, or Alec could explain the intricate stupidities of his actions(which nobody would understand anyway). He had found he was going to be swallowing his pride more by the latter option, and so if he was asked he would say that yes he was Hana's date. If he felt he needed to explain himself to someone he would go through the silent motions of insisting "He's weird and I'm not going on a date because I actually care about him". Of course only seconds into the blabber going back on his words, "Well he's not weird, he's actually sort of nice. But I need a reason to make it clear that I dislike him or something. Because if it seems like I'm neutral your going to assume I do like him and then that's a bigger mess that I do not want to do deal with. Also this cannot get back to my family and I will jinx you forever if you even try to snitch a word." This was decidedly pretty much how the night was going to go.
Still, Alec thought at the very least this wouldn't prevent him from having fun. Maybe it would be more fun? In heart of those getting ready montages things always seemed to have. Alec would recreate it while trying to figure out what to wear last minute because he hadn't care enough to actually plan something to wear before he'd known he was going to have a date. He went through the attempts of smoothing out his hair with water since it's one of the things people were getting at him for, but it was to no avail. Having forgotten that for some reason his hair was like a sponge that soaked it up and made it more curly. Making it more of a hazard to deal with.
Today he'd decided he was once again going to leave his clothes alone and instead pinned his pins on too his messenger bag, figuring this would also make it easy to bring things around. Having more than the usual of Bob and the wolf, but three painted on pinback buttons. The first was a halloween sort of one, with a Jack-o-lantern on it, the second was something that was obviously more recent, Cu sith. He had Hanako's snake painted on a button. Obviously he wasn't going to tell Hanako that it was his snake but it was fairly easy to tell. She stood out, and no Alec was not going to give his reasons for why he wanted her on a button(she was too cuteee not to paint on one). The third had "Hecate" written on it, and mostly an appealing background. A call-back to last year's Blossom Ball. Per the usual ongoing theme of Alec attending a ball at Hogwarts Alec had painted his nails. Admittedly he'd had a lot of fun with it, and was really giddy the whole time.
---
When Alec had finished getting ready he remembered that there were plans to meet up before the ball started. Heading to where they'd chosen to meet(courtyard). Alec smiling and waving when he saw Hanako. “Heyyy,” Running closer because no man would every had ever have any patience to walk ever. His smile seemed more apologetic, and he moved to rub the back of his neck. “Sorry I'm a little late. I got kind of-er... distracted” Alec looked down at his hands, before holding them up to show Hana “I was painting my nails.” He had plans to do it in the morning but he'd forgotten. Alec's mind wandered after showing Hana his nails, and if he was speaking, probably going through everything they'd talked about or said they would Alec wasn't listening.
He was nodding when it looked like he needed to nod, and beyond that not paying attention. His eyes still on his nails, his hands, which were now just back where they normally were. Minutes later Alec looked up. “I have an idea.” Interrupting either's Hanako's silence or his speaking which Alec had accidentally zoned out for. The idea no matter the case was not going to be related to anything going on and very random. “You can say no if you want.” Of course he was allowed to say no, Alec wasn't going to force Hanako to do anything but still-“Can I paint your nails?” Alec looked to meet Hanako's eyes. “We have lots of time before the ball starts, and then if you decide you don't like it I can take it off. Besides, it's a lot of fun. Also, the stuff is right in my dorm so it's not that far away.” It was going to be a bit of a walk to his dorm and back, Alec just wanted an excuse to paint people's nails. Alec brightened the second he was got what was a form of a yes from Hana.
“Okay, I'll be quick.” Alec ran as quickly as he could to go get the nail polish from his dorm. Grabbing a whole bunch of random ones and shoving them in his messenger bag, as well as nail polish remover, and a piece of cloth running back to where Hana was. “I have a lot.” Alec said, and sat on the ground next to the fountain so he could do quick rounds of grab and take from his bag. Because he had brought a lot, definitely way more colors then anyone would have ever needed to look at and pick one. “I have blue, more blue, a darker blue, black, white, a lilac sort of purple-” He went through the assortments of colors rather casually ignoring the fancy names they made up on the front. Saying what he wanted to call them as he set them down on the edge of the fountain. After saying the last one however, his face would flush slightly, and he would instead put that one back in his bag as if he'd never pulled it out.
Continuing to pull out more until fifteen different nail polishes sat on the edge. “I have more in my bag but this is probably enough.” Alec's eyes were sifting through the colors carefully. “You can pick any of them or ask for different ones.” Alec stood up, and sat on the edge by all the nail polish as he waited(Hana can ask for any color. There's a very high chance Alec has any color and every color he could ask for). When Hana picked a color Alec would smile and nod putting the rest back in the bag.
If Hanako wasn't sitting Alec would get him to sit down on the edge of the fountain. Opening the nail polish, Alec moved to set the container down and sat cross-legged. Alec reached for Hana's hand. “I'll do my best to not get it anywhere other then your nails, but you have to stay still or I'm going to have to go back and redo them.” He tried to look serious when he was speaking, because he meant it, and he really didn't want to go back in redo them, he huffed to try and make it more clear. But his trying to look serious on account of the situation only ended with his lips splitting into a smile, and instead trying not to laugh.
With that Alec "focused" on doing Hana's nails though he was distracted and his mind seemed to whisk away while he did. “What do you even do at a ball?” Alec asked rather suddenly. He'd gone to many, very many, not just ones at Hogwarts but he still didn't get the point. “ I understand people dress up and it's good for people to network and stuff... But-” Alec cut himself off and shook his head. “I don't really get it.” He ended it at that. Maybe Hana could make some good points because really all it was is boring unless bad stuff happens, or someone intervenes and causes even just silly things to happen.
“The fall ball last year was sort of okay. Did you go?” Alec asked, his eyebrows furrowed as he focused on Hanako's nails. Being as careful as he could to not mess up. “Almost done-” Alec said, as he finally finished Hanako's first hand. He smiled, though it eased to a neutral expression quickly. “Does it look okay?” Alec asked, though he seemed to be the one making the decision. “I'll redo it after I do your other hand. I probably shouldn't be making small talk.”(It wasn't really that bad Alec had just been setting high expectations for himself) Alec reached to do Hana's second hand, being quiet this time in hopes it would help. When he pulled away this time, his smile stayed. “That's better.”
Once he was done(If Hana insisted that the other hand was fine alec would stop without redoing it) and began putting the nail polish away. “If you want it to dry faster you can blow on them or wave your hands around crazily.” Alec said, putting it in his bag. Once done, he looked back and at Hana. “Do you like it? The color and how it looks? Or do you want me to get rid of it?” Alec asked, becoming more serious.
After finishing up with that Alec would head to his dorm to put to the nail polish away. Then wait to see Hana at the ball with only a bit of time left.

(Finally arriving)
Walking onto the Hogwarts grounds where the entrance to the event was, Alec couldn't help but feel excited. He'd decided to downsize with his own pranks plans, going with things he could fit in his messenger bag so he'd look less suspicious. Alec smiled as he looked around, what caught his eyes most was the pumpkin lanterns. The coolest thing obviously, though there was more. With every look around he could catch the intricate details, and it felt like something that seemed just a bit outside the world. Something that Alec was growing fond of quickly as he looked around. Obviously there was a reason for coming early. He needed to get a good look for himself.
Alec's eyes would stay scanning around the area as a small smile reached his lips. This wasn't going to be all that bad. It couldn't be all that bad, at least some of it would be fun. Now, all ALec had to do now was stay here and wait at the entrance for Hanako. Maybe it was a bad idea to come so early though, because Alec would have to wait... In the meantime? Well, Alec would just be staring off into the distance. Having been looking around and keeping alert to look for Hana, until his mind started to wander.
