Slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the festival proper, a section of the castle grounds has been transformed into a miniature replica of a working farm. Or rather, it has been transformed into a particularly cute imitation of a farm, all style over substance. Small little plots of ready to harvest crops have been planted in even rows, separated from one another by tracts of dirt, allowing for students to wander through the rows without fear of trodding over the vegetables. The sanctity of the produce is further protected by a rather shoddy looking rope fence, the barrier serving its role less through the actual prevention of trespassing, and more through its tokenistic existence.

Still, that is not to say that students are prohibited from entering the farm. Far from it, by its entrance, a little sign has been painted, letters a mixture of immaculate handwriting and something far more akin to chicken scratch. As if one of the organisers started work on the sign, before another took over, only for the original writer to return to their post upon seeing the quality of their compatriot’s lettering.

Please feel free to pick plants, the house elves will use them to make dishes later! Try to make sure that you get the right ones, not everything is exactly good for eating. Also watch out for Have fun!

The crossed out warning, initially seeming out of place, would become all the more clear as ominous noises could be heard from the cordoned off plot. The buzz of insects, the occasional cluck of a chicken, and most terrifying of all, a singular honk.

A sharp sweet smell hit his nose. His long fingers wagged in anticipation, before coming up to arch, as if like a steeple, and to appear evil, but... it was a festival, wasn't it? It was no time to be evil. Well, maybe at the Fall Ball, which was later. Cody coughed in grimacing sounds. If anyone were to come by, Cody would prepare himself to leap out at them. But not at the moment.

He ran up and down the field. Well, it seemed to appear like a farm. But did that matter, as of that moment? Truly, Cody could care less. But it was so adorable, and sweet smelling crops were what got him pumped up, of course, Cody recalled that when he went to a farm near his family's home. There, it was sweet smelling, but there was also a overpowering aroma, of horse and cattle manure. But Cody might be losing his sense of smell, as he wasn't smelling the regular sense of manure.

Ahhh, it smelled so good, and Cody seemed to be enjoying this time just because of the smell. It would be like... you coming home to freshly baked cookies, or if you are a bacon lover, like Cody, you'd be awake when the first sizzle of bacon is sounded.

Giving himself time, and other people time to come through, he came back to where he started, and crouched down, behind a bigger pumpkin, getting himself ready to scare people, if they scared easily.
