"MODERATION" POST
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
This event is part of the 2026 International Magical Olympic Games.
February 15th, 2026
Lake Bear (frozen), Russian Federation
Luckily, the opening ceremony seemed to be going well so far. Plenty of students had gone over to the food tables to enjoy the various delicacies set out for them, and Aulis was definitely among them once the flow of incoming Portkeys slowed, making himself a plate of admittedly mostly borscht... but also some other foods, like a pastry from the Durmstrang area that he had grown up eating and some macaroni and cheese from the Ilvermorny area. He had spent too much time around a certain Ilvermornian (@Fabian Toussaint-Fleischer) to dislike pasta and cheese sauce put together. For dessert, a handful of the Uagadou donuts, a French macaron, and two of the chocolatey truffles from Castelobruxo would certainly fill the Director's bottomless pit of a stomach.

Before he could enjoy any of the delicacies, however, he realised that he was going to miss the timing of the torch-lighting ceremony if he dallied any further. Setting his plate down on the edge of the food table, Aulis rushed over to the stage and cleared his throat, effectively quieting the murmuring and chatter that had blanketed Lake Bear like its usual snow.

"Is so nice to see many smiling faces from many countries and schools,"
he declared with a grandiose flourish of his hand and his tell-tale blue pea coat, grinning widely. This event would surely show all these other international schools what a true party was like, how to properly host something so wonderful! "I am named the Director Aulis Vorozheykin, and I am Director of Koldovstoretz. I shall say few words about values of Olympic Games..."

A "few words" turned into about a fifteen-minute ramble, give or take, about the yurts in which students and faculty alike would be living during their time here, the importance of continuing classes and studies throughout the Games, the schedule of various sporting events that would be taking place over the next week, and a mention of the saunas (banyas, they were called) that would be open Wednesday, in case anyone needed a good bit of relaxation. When Aulis had finished with his most dramatic speech, he drew his wand for the most dramatic bit yet, throwing a wink towards no one in particular in the crowd. "But you all gathered not for to listen to my words, right? You gathered for to begin Olympic ceremony. Well then, without unnecessary ado... Saevi Igninum!"

The firestorm that swept out around the Director in a blazing ring of heat definitely caused some of the snow and ice nearby to melt, but most importantly, when it died down, the bear torch beside Aulis now had a raging inferno in its mouth, giving it the appearance of breathing fire. The Director grinned triumphantly, raising his hands high to garner applause. Now, these ceremonies could truly begin.
This event is not moderated and no further posts from Aulis will be made here.
Please reach out to me if you would like to godmod Aulis doing anything other than what is already stated in the post.

Zephyr burped softly after finishing the last bite and then gave a satisfied sigh while tapping his tummy gently. They were better than he expected, and he was glad he tried almost everything with only small portions. The beef stroganoff was good with its rich flavors, it was not overpowering, and the stuffed cabbage rolls were surprisingly good with their savory filling. He liked the borscht too, though it was a little sour for his taste, but still nice to have something different. The desserts were what he really enjoyed, that medovik cake was superb, and a few of the other treats some where too sugary but still nice to try. The grilled shrimp was another favorite and the cheese bread was perfect for snacking between bites. Overall, he was happy with what he tried so far, feeling full but not uncomfortably so.

He glanced at his friends when Max asked about ice skating. There was a beat of hesitation in his eyes, thinking how slippery it could be, but then he remembered the last few months practicing with Maisie. He learned how to skate not long ago, and though he was not great, he was much better than the first time he tried. “Okay okay, I'm done eating. Fine, let’s do it.” Smiling at his friends, he followed them and put on the skates that were provided. Once set up, he stepped carefully onto the frozen lake. At first, he had both his hands spread out to the sides to help with his balance as he glided slowly to test the ice. He was hit by rush of excitement as his feet steadied. "This is fun!" After a few more minutes, he was more comfortable, just enough to clasp his hands behind his back, enjoying the smooth glide better than before. He didn't dare try any spins or tricks like Maisie showed him before, he was content simply moving across the ice, taking in the clear winter sky and the sight of his friends skating nearby.

The Director of Koldovstoretz grabbed everyone's attention as the man took centerstage and address the crowd. He introduced himself to them and welcome everyone to the school and the Olympics. Zephyr almost fell on his back when the man said words he didn't fully comprehend, the next thing he knew, there was fire that swept around the man in blazing ring. He can only assume it's too hot since the ice surrounding him melted immediately. "Woah, that's amazing!" When it died down, the only thing left was the fire in the mouth of the bear torth as if it's breathing fire. "Merlin's beard...That was really cool!" He glanced at his friends and clapped his hands like the rest. The Olympics games were officially open.

🄰young Slytherin girl finally showed up. She had isolated herself from her group since the beginning. After receiving the warm winter cloak, Skylar, on the other hand, headed to the permanent shop just to fulfill her curiosity right away. Even though she knew there were definitely many dishes being prepared for the visitors at the opening, she had to see them herself. What did Baba Yeda look like? What did the other shops look like? Was it true that there are traveling herbologist merchants here?

Well, it wasn’t hard to blend in with the Koldovstoretz students. She had a part of their uniform after all, and she did find her answers. Everything was truly new and marvelous for her eyes. Despite hating the cold weather, she wasted a lot of her money on the whole shopping thing until she realized that she was going to miss the torch-lighting ceremony, so she quickly ran back to the welcoming feast zone, arriving at the same time that the bear torch was breathing fire from its mouth.

She was trying to catch her breath with her hands full of bags, looking miserably tired, but her eyes could not stop gazing at the raging fire. “What a grand opening!” She murmured, “At least I’m not that late. Am I?” She gave a big, guilty smile to herself and glanced around. It turned out her friends were missing from the food table. Shouldn’t they be here? Shaking side to side, still, she couldn’t find her friends. She was second-guessing herself whether they were back at the yurt or they were somewhere else. Then, she swept with one's gaze again, spotting Zephyr at the lake, and others not far from his side. She strongly sighed. “Found ya!”

Traveling by portkey will always Ronnie's least favorite method of transportation. Traveling by portkey always leave him queasy an uneasiness in his stomach that almost make him feel a little bit nausaea. If the Brazilian hoy could chose, he mucb prefer took the Diver or Ships.

But from Brazil to Russia if Ronnie used Diver or Ships it'll take days. And so, the Sixth-year had no other choice but followijg what his headmaster and the school picked as a mean of transportation to visired the Russian school for the International Magical Olympic Game.

Once Ronnie and his other peers arrived at Koldovstoretz after riding that aweful portkey, Ronnie needdd to take a mucb needed breath to steady his stomach. Slowly, the other schools appears. From the throng of crowd, Ronnie could spot Cassandra Ironwoods. His cousin that went to the Scottish Highland magical schoool which is Hogwarts.

When Ronnie's blue-grey meet Cash's green eyes, the two of them shared a short court polite nod of an acknowledgement. After the uneasiness that Ronnie felt had slowly dissapated, the boy moved toward the table that filled with variety of food from each schools.

Ronnie then took warm croissants and various cheeses from the BeauxbatonsBeauxbâtons' table. Kebabs, marudnik (pancakes), and a little scoop of salad from Durmstrang's table. From Hogwarts' table the boy had filled his plate with fish and chips also took a little portion of sheperd's pie.

From Ilvermorny; hot dogs, macaroni and cheese + crab cakes. The boy looked at the almost spilled over mountain of food that he stacked on his plate. There are still 4 other table (Koldovstoretz, Mahoutokoro, Tenūsa, and Uagadou) that the boy plan to have a bit taste of.

Before closing his foodie traveling back to the food he familiar with which is whatever had been pre-made and served on the table that labeled as Castelobruxo. Ronnie's eyes landed on Cash again and despite the Quidditch player shake their head no subtly, the boy saunters over to the Hogwarts student anyway.

Verona Andréas is the kind of person that you'll have a hard time rejecting even if you wanr to. And he also the typw of person that take no for an answer. By this point Cash should learn their lesson that the Brazilian boy is a fighter, not a quiter no matter how many time people denying him. Ronnie will make Cash at least somewhat amicable in social settings no matter what.

The snow and the ice and everything in between sure were a pleasant sight. The sea of frozen white that surrounded Ebony upon arriving in Koldovstoretz served to bless her eyes. Though it did snow in the Scottish Highlands, it didn’t layer quite as thick, and the temperatures certainly were not as cold. Bundled up in unusually warm clothing, the girl inhaled a breath of fresh Russian air, immediately feeling refreshed. Although transport by portkey certainly was not the most pleasant way of travel — having left a lingering nausea — the sight of the lake within Koldovstoretz made the journey worthwhile. The stunning view of the lake rivalled that of the Great Lake back at Hogwarts; it was even more picturesque, in fact, for the sheet of ice that coated its surface combined with the scenery that surrounded it made it a true force to be reckoned with.

Though the girl did revel in the cold weather, she didn’t come all the way to Koldovstoretz to enjoy a nice freeze. She had come in attendance of the International Magic Olympic Games that were to be hosted at the Russian school in the coming days, and she had arrived with a rare anticipatory excitement ahead of the hockey game that she had signed up for.

Surrounding the brunette now were tables upon tables of food and… people. Rows and rows of students were seated, awaiting the commencement of the Opening Feast and torchlighting ceremony. Ebony had to concede that the sea of students situated before her and the subsequent chatter that came as a result were rather overwhelming, leading to a slightly queasy feeling that only galvanised the previous dizziness that had been inflicted by the portkey. She came to the conclusion that it was best she be seated, lest she taint the pristine, snowy ground with vomit.

Approaching a table that seemed overwhelmingly filled with Hogwarts students (which provided her with a slight degree of comfort in the foreign place, at the very least), she spotted Cash, a sixth year whom she had briefly interacted with on the Hogwarts Express and during a light-hearted cookie decorating session on Valentine’s Day. Though she couldn’t quite call the Slytherin a friend — the term suggested a degree of proximity that they had not quite attained — it was still considerably comforting to see a familiar face in a seemingly endless tide of unknown persons. She waved to them, her lips quivering upwards slightly, approaching their table with a tread so cautious one would think she was afraid the ground was cursed. “Hello, Cash, nice to see you again,” Ebony greeted, taking a seat opposite to the Quidditch player. Beside Cash was a boy whom the Ravenclaw was not familiar with; he didn’t seem to be from Hogwarts, for she had not seen him around the school before. Despite that, the boy appeared to be hauntingly familiar, somehow. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it. Scanning the boy’s admittedly handsome visage, she could have sworn she had seen those eyes before — those eyes that were painted a stormy blue-grey. Or perhaps she was just hallucinating. She nodded politely toward the boy nevertheless.
