The game began like it always did. Ravenclaw and Gryffindor teams raced into the sky, each of them doing as they'd strategised with their respective captains. Ophelia watched and cheered as the game progressed, completely invested almost immediately. She whooped as Ravenclaw scored-- this game was off to a great start.

As they took to the sky, Pax adjusted their grip on their beater's bat with a wicked grin on their face. They knew Ravenclaw would go heavy on the fouls, hopefully the referee would actually notice them, but that wasn't their focus, unless the fouls were targeted at them. It didn't seem like anyone was targeting them, and the bludger that came their way was neatly intercepted by Ethan. "Thanks mate, good catch! Better luck next time!" They called out as they lined up a shot at the same target, swinging with all the strength they had. A loud cheer went up as the hit landed, one of their better hits in a while, and they cheered along with the crowd, especially seeing it ping off Jorah and also hit Ebony. "That's what I'm talking about, let's go!!!"

Well shit. Aston thought as he watched the older beater fall, he can't exactly say he was surprised, targeting beaters at the start of a Quidditch match was quite a sound strategy. Still it was unfortunate that they were down a beater already, especially after he managed to screw up cheering for his own teammate.

The blonde whirlwind only grinned in response. "Oh, ye wad hae found it faster looking in aen mirror," she quipped back, in response to the nudge against her shoulder, she bumped into his, with a little more - albeit playful - force and a steady grin.

She went on to boo the guy, who had knocked her off her broom so forcefully the last time they had played. Part of her hoping he would get hit twice as hard as he had hit her back then. Then again she would have to rely on Pax and the other captain guy to get such a job done and huffed in frustration. When the guy actually dropped however, she jumped up and whooped. "Payback!" she celebrated his falling body.

So far it was going well enough they might be behind by a little but that was fine it was early on and there was still a good chance that the team could win if they just kept up witht this pace. Kora brushed some of her hair out her face taking a moment to focus

Winnie felt something grow closer as she dove for the Quaffle to score again. Her brows knitting together, she shot a glare at whoever had managed to get close to her, but not close enough to successfully attack her.

She wasn't sure if she should be angry or flattered. Who knew they saw her as such a treat?

In the role of Chaser when you attempt to catch a passed Quaffle (such as when the Keeper has possession of the Quaffle and passes it to a teammate) you have advantage (meaning that it is rolled twice and you keep the better option) on attempts to catch if the opponent team attempts to intercept.

In the role of Chaser, as a free action if the user of this broom is successful in the quafflegrab they can as a free action pass the Quaffle to another user in an attempt to score. There is a chance of the quaffle being intercepted, however due to the fact that the user is "so fast" with the quaffle this would be considered "surprising" and the attempt to score would be done at +3 accuracy by the player it was passed to in an attempt to score.

Note: The attempt to score would be an automatic attempt by the user that catches the passed quaffle.

In the role of Chaser, if you have a contested quaffle grab and a contested strength roll between yourself and another user is in progress, unless they have the same broom, you would be the victor of the contested quaffle grab. In addition, rounds where you are successfully carrying the quaffle in an attempt to score, you only take half-damage from bludgers and blatching attempts.

PARAGON OF HEALTH: Winnie is boosting Aly Salinger and Jorah Moussa, giving them an extra 10% of health.

Avis eyed the Gryffindor seeker above her, waiting for the ref to go handle whichever Lion had started a wildly inappropriate cheer about Rowena Ravenclaw. It had been rather funny until the seventh consecutive verse. The second year suspected someone had had a smidge too much butterbeer.

Finally when the official engaged in a shouting match with the Gryffindor student section, Avis shot upwards. Elbows flying, she rammed into Shaw with as much force as her 12 year old limbs would allow and danced away, throwing him off balance. The Ravenclaw shot a dubious side eye at the ref but no whistle sounded as she flew away from the scene of the crime.

As she turned back towards the action, Aly flew by, offering a sneaky fist bump and some whispered praise.

"Thanks," she managed to reply before the seventh year seeker zipped away. Avis tried to contain her grin but it was no use. She beamed with pride, Aly's compliment echoing in her head. Her first successful in-game cob! Merlin, she couldn't wait to tell Maisie.
