DEBUFF FOULS

Having seen the relative success the Chasers and fellow Seeker got last time, Violeta wanted to take her own stab in the foul business. And the perfect targets would be the Beaters, always ones for bloodshed even when the rest of the team had no bat to arm themselves with. This time elbows would do, feigning a sharp turn toward the snitch that conveniently placed Aston right next to her, a precise dig that keeled the Ravenclaw over for seemingly no reason. The moderator squinted slightly but the whistle kept silent.

SECOND STRING

For a strange twist in quidditch, the bench was all cheering and uplifting, shouting out support for their Seekers and Beaters as they moved their attention towards bringing the game to its close, eyes on their final target whether ball or person. The second string were here to watch, aiding their teammates as they soared above.

SEEKERS

And who was most looking to close it out now except Aly. She'd call over Winnie, a practiced move that relied on Winnie's strength and Aly's guidance to get her closer to the snitch than possible alone. Yet while they managed the spin, both would let go a little too soon, sending Aly shooting off away from the snitch with little chance of reaching and snatching it this time around. Certainly recoverable, especially after the last stunt against Violeta, but certainly not where the eagles wanted to be.

BEATERS

Slytherin had decided that the number of people plummeting was not nearly enough, determined to set that right this go around as Ravenclaw hoped to keep the rest of their teammates afloat. Percival and Oliver both set their sights on the beaters, Oliver winding up with a sharp strike towards Ebony as she focused more on keeping Aly safe during the rush to the golden snitch. One moment she kept a wary gaze on her two teammates, the next Ebony found herself sideways with no broom beneath her as pain bloomed on her side. No one would be there to shorten the fall, the beaters now reduced to three.

Unlike Ebony, Aston was watching the bludger as Percival rocketed it towards the Ravenclaw, fully intending on countering with his own strike of the bat. It was a risky move, maintaining the right spot in three dimensions to get the perfect swing against a magical high speed bowling ball. Instead of striking it with his bat, Aston struck the bludger with his torso, the momentum sending him tumbling backwards off of his broom to join Ebony in the fall. He managed a little success though as Percival had hoped to claim a third. With a shout, Aly saw the threat just in time to swoop underneath leaving the bludger barreling forward towards its new target- Charlotte. Or, was it? This ball seemed to have a mind of its own, rushing past Charlotte instead to take a shot at Violeta in a twist unexpected by everyone involved. The Slytherin had just a split second to get out of the way, performing a panicked spin as the bludger grazed her knuckles on its exit.

All things considered, this had been quite a violent round, though in a way which Rafal certainly had no issue with. Two eagles were knocked out, and neither Seekers seemed any closer to finding the snitch. What had he been doing while this riveting order of events came about? Nothing, it appeared.

Quinn winced as she watched the game play. The players seemed to be getting nasty as she watched some... illegal plays being played. Quinn looked around as she watched the seekers go after the snitch. Aly seemed locked in on it but hadn't gotten it yet. Quinn bit her lip and looked for the quaffle.

Ophelia watched, bright-eyed, as the game continued in all its glory. Originally, Quidditch had been as fascinating to her as an interesting little rock-- something to pick up and perhaps examine for a bit, but in the end, nothing to worry over. Making the team and trying her best to do well had changed that mindset almost completely. The Ravenclaw now studied the matches that she sat benched in like a hawk, mentally making notes like it was her next History of Magic assignment to write an essay on it.

This round wasn't as eventful for the Ravenclaw team. Or, at least, it wasn't as positively eventful, because there were plenty of negative things happening, as far as she could tell. Was that their co-captain falling from the sky? Was that one of their beaters? She winced at their falls, knowing it had to have hurt terribly. But, ever the observant student, she continued her intense watching of the match.

With the score remaining pretty much unchanged and the looming threat of Ravenclaw potentially catching the snitch, it seemed Slytherin had fallen to its nasty roots. It was little things, elbows colliding with ribs, scathing looks, and soaring bludgers. Lottie watched in awe as the game transpired into chaos, thanking her lucky stars that she was mostly safe by the hoops. That was, until a rogue bludger came soaring in her direction.

For a brief moment, Lottie didn't know what to do. With her hands clenched tightly around her broom and mind set on blocking, she simply remained in her position and stared dumbfounded as the bludger got closer and closer... and completely missed her. Instead, it chose Violeta as its next target, then promptly missed her as well. Lottie scrunched her brows, then shrugged and turned her sights back to the game before her.
