Appearance

Eulalia stands at 142 cm tall (4 feet, 8 inches) and weighs 36 kg (80 pounds). Her wavy hair is a lovely blend of light brown and golden hues, flowing just past her waist. Eulalia's eyes are almond-shaped, a gorgeous shade of honey brown. Her features are soft and symmetrical, and she is a naturally pretty girl. Oftentimes, an enchanted seashell clip can be seen in her hair, a gift from her grandmother.

Style

Coming from a pureblooded family, Eulalia is well dressed and has a certain appreciation for fashion. She often wears fancier jewelry and clothing. She always ensures her appearance is perfect before leaving her room or dorm, even for something simple. This wealthy fashion style stems from her parents' traditional values and the emphasis on keeping the Vasilios name respected.

"My mind is an interesting place." Despite her curious nature, intelligence, and passion for learning, Eulalia is no doubt a Slytherin. She's a secretive and untrusting girl, ambitious and resourceful. If one chooses to be friends with her, they have to accept that building up trust with Eulalia won't happen easily, along with breaking her cool exterior. Her mind works to analyze situations and find solutions, no matter the price. Eulalia ensures that she stays realistic, not putting too much hope into anything.

"Oh, so you are capable of being nice." Those who know Eulalia well would know that despite her colder exterior, she does care. When Eulalia can trust someone, she'll show the kinder version of herself, the more compassionate and softer side. This side of her is reserved only for those who she can undeniably trust, someone who she knows wouldn't dream of ever betraying her.

"I don't hate everything." There are numerous things Eulalia enjoys in her life, her favorite by far, being the sea. Eulalia also enjoys marine life, finding the animals, magical and not to be fascinating. She also enjoys a good book, sunsets and sunrises, the color blue, fruits, greek myths, and tea. Her hobbies expand further, as she enjoys, sketching, writing, reading, stargazing, night walks, walks on the beach, learning, discovering family mysteries, and adventures.

"Yeah, I hate it." No matter how many things Eulalia does like, there will always be things she doesn't like, the majority of them relating to people. She hates people giving her advice, people who talk too much, hypocrisy, other people's clutter, and messiness (she has a system), high temperatures, prying questions, mistreatment of animals, interruption, quidditch, abstract art, team settings, gardening (herbology), too much noise.

"Hey! I have plenty of great qualities!" Despite what many may think, Eulalia truly does have great qualities to her personality, such as her curiosity, compassion, and her independence. Eulalia is also determined and resilient, never backing down from a challenge or setback. Her idealistic nature helps keep her dreams and aspirations in check and once you know the young Slytherin, she has a certain wit and humor to her that others can't deny. She's focused, studious, and serious, her sights set on certain goals.

"Okay, so maybe somethings about me are bad." Everyone has their negative qualities. For Eulalia, she's extremely stubborn, a perfectionist, and overconfident. Of course, there's nothing wrong with any of that until it becomes destructive. She's also impulsive and doesn't like to share her emotions, keeping them all to herself. She's an overthinker and doesn't like criticism. Eulalia is too proud to ever ask for help (she thinks it's weak), hates overcontrolling authority figures, and has a deep fear of disappointing and letting her family down.

The Vasilios Family

Family History

The Vasilios Family line initially began in the Mediterranean; Greece, to be specific. The pure bloodline can be traced down many generations to ancient eras, long before their eventual relocation. The family line is deeply rooted in tradition and culture, preserving their Greek roots for generations upon generations, which sets them apart from typical wizarding families. Eventually, the family moved away from Greece due to political issues and accusations of dark rituals and magic.

During their search for a new home, it was then the Vasilios Family motto was created, "Steadfast as the tide, boundless as the sea". Eventually, their search was successful, finding a secluded area upon a cliff by the British coast. St. Ives, Cornwall. The family still resides in the Manor built, and from there, the Vasilios family stretched into the Magical Community, creating a powerful and weighted name in the public through politics, alchemy, and their traditions and culture.

Immidiate Family

The Prodigy Reducio Heir to the Vasilios family, Nikolaos is an extremely successful individual, in academics and his achievements. He is ambitious and resourceful, easily climbing to the top in whatever he does. Seven years older than Eulalia, the two often have clashing values, with Niko whispering unwanted criticism and advice into Eulalia's ear whenever he can. Eulalia believes that her brother judges her too much, and doesn't take well to his advice, unknowing that he's pushing her in the right direction, the direction he wasn't strong enough to take. Despite their age gap, the two support each other as best as they can, yet Eulalia harbors a fierce rivalry against her brother, the prodigy; Living up to her brother's success and competing for the same level of recognition. The goal has been shrouded by familial values, yet Eulalia later realizes she needs to be great for herself, not her family.

The "Peace" Reducio Eulalia's mother, Eirini, seems like the ideal mother. She's graceful and is the perfect lady, ensuring both her children are ideally equipped for their future. Lady Vasilios is extremely intelligent and is the softer counterpart to her husband's stern parenting. The woman seems like the perfect caring mother, yet she is subtly manipulative, pulling strings behind the scenes to uphold the family name. Eirini is nurturing in her own way, yet her own way oftentimes can feel suffocating to Eulalia. She is unwilling to show vulnerability and is overly focused on the family figure, which is where Eulalia gains some of her more negative traits. The woman is an expert in maneuvering socially and often makes strategic alliances to uphold their family status.

The Patriarch Reducio Lord Vasilios is the perfect embodiment of traditional Pureblooded values. Theodoros is stern, commanding, deeply rooted in tradition and a man of few words, making his expectations known. He doesn't sugarcoat anything, flat out saying what he means. Eulalia's father is pragmatic, strategic, and wise. He's fiercely overprotective of the family name and legacy, and his decisions are often made with the family name in mind. He's stubborn and emotionally distant. Her father teaches her resilience and focus, establishing a strong work ethic as well as an extreme sense of pride. With his strict expectations, she becomes resilient yet also develops self-doubt, a rebellious streak, and a strained relationship with him. Eulalia strives to impress the man, wanting rare moments of validation and pride from him, yet he'd never be the one she'd intentionally turn to unless she was out of options.

The Patron Reducio Thalassa Vasilios, Eulalia's grandmother. A prideful woman and everything Eulalia wants to be in life. The woman is extremely successful and wise, yet extremely cryptic. She commands respect from everyone and doesn't let anybody tell her no. She is generally rooted in her tradition, yet grows more to adapt to modern society than her parents do. Thalassa is the gifter of Eulalia's signature seashell hairclip, enchanted to never break, and only be worn by her granddaughter. She often spurts cryptic advice to Eulalia, and her parents often tell her that her words are considered invaluable. The woman respects the ideals of tradition, but understands the importance of balance and individuality, becoming Eulalia's silent supporter, subtly guiding her granddaughter on her journey.

Notable Relatives

The Navigator Reducio Deucalion Vasilios is an ancient relative of the Vasilios family, dating back to when the family lived in Greece. He was well known as a magical navigator who was said to map seas and guide wizards across treacherous seas. His maps are around the house somewhere...

The Explorer Forgotten Reducio Callidora Vasilios was a renowned witch before she explored the deep blue, striving to know what lay under the vast sea. In the end, she was dubbed as insane and her presence in the Vasilios family was nearly forgotten. Her explorations led to her early death. Now, all that remains of her are her journals of research, scribbled in Greek and nearly illogical.

The Founder Reducio Hector Vasilios is the founder of their family motto; Steadfast as the tide, boundless as the sea. Hector was also the founder of the Vasilios family manor, creating and building the home with his magic when he first settled in St. Ives. Hector is a well-remembered and important piece of Vasilios family history.

The Ghost Reducio Isidora Vasilios was an old researcher. Of what? No one is quite sure. Isidora traveled around the world mysteriously, often creating aliases. She was capable of disappearing for years at a time, only re-emerging to let her family know she was alive. She covered her tracks well, keeping her research and ideas close to her chest and played her cards right. Now, she is remembered as a ghost. Impossible to find, even in death. The only thing that is traceable of her presence, was her creation of ancient family rituals.

Aegean Crest

˖°𓇼 History 𓇼°˖

Leaving Greece and searching for a new home was one of the pinnacles of the Vasilios family lineage. Escaping persecution, accusations, and political issues, Hector Vasilios and his remaining family ventured out, eventually landing in St. Ives. There, Hector found an isolated cliffside, far enough away from muggle civilization to his liking. There, he raised and founded the Family Manor, passed down through generations.

Eventually, the surrounding beach area, rocky cliffs, and sea began to be known as the Aegean Crest. Aegean as in the sea by Greece the Vasilios Family once thought of as home. Crest as in the peak of the jagged rocks their new home lay on and the top of the crashing waves. The home and name of Aegean Crest serve as a generational reminder of their Greek ancestry and the sacrifices made to preserve a family legacy.

˖°𓇼 Vasilios Family Manor 𓇼°˖

The Architecture Perched on the rocky cliffs of St. Ives, Cornwall, the Vasilios Family Manor is a home of intricate history, culture, and artifacts. Built by ancestor Hector Vasilios, the Manor is built with stone walls, large windows, and gabled roofs. There's a slight touch of Greek Architecture both inside and outside the Manor, a way to honor their heritage and roots. Pathways down to the beach have been built and carved into the cliffside for easy access down to the sea.

The Grounds

Amongst the grounds of the Manor, multiple Terraced Gardens, featuring plants that thrive in the environment, have been added in and taken care of over the centuries. Additionally, the lower levels of the Manor, deep below the surface and in the rocky cliffs, contain hidden entrances and arches, only accessible during [redacted]. These are known as the Tide Chambers.

Enchantments

To keep his family safe, Hector Vasilios placed enchantments around Aegean Crest. These enchantments can be categorized as Protection, Concealment, and even a [redacted].
Protection: Shields to keep poor weather out, warding spells, and enchantments to guard Aegean Crest and prevent unwanted guests via invitation or an enchanted token.
Concealment: Selective visibility, subtle guiding away, and wards to isolate and conceal the magical family.
Etcetera: Secret enchantments such as those placed on the Tide Chambers.

The Heirloom

To keep the Vasilios Family Manor within the Vasilios family, the Manor itself became an heirloom. After Hector Vasilios's death, the family decided to keep their sanctuary within the bloodline bypassing the home down to the first-born son. If no sons were born, the Manor would pass down to the eldest daughter of Vasilios blood.

˖°𓇼 The Opened Tide Chamber 𓇼°˖

Coincidentally, the only opened Tide Chamber on the grounds of Aegean Crest is the very same tide pool cave she discovered at 5 years old. The Chamber, however, was not opened by Eulalia, but by [redacted], and was never re-sealed. Amongst the family ancestors, this specific Tide Chamber is known as Lumios Grotto. The Grotto holds many undiscovered secrets, and some may never be found, including [redacted].

˖°𓇼 Tradition 𓇼°˖

The Vasilios Family has preserved many traditions throughout time at the Aegean Crest, determined to not let who they are escape their mind. One of the many traditions is one for death. When a Vasilios nears the time they feel they will die, or become old enough, they customarily write a letter of death and will to be read at their funeral. When a member of the Vasilios Family passes on, it is tradition for the family and friends to gather on the beach for a small memorial. Then, the four closest people to the dead (specified in their letter or will) lay the deceased to rest by reuniting them with the sea for the last time. With the body, it is customary for a valued treasure from the deceased to be laid to rest with them, forever to be lost at sea. From there, an enchantment by ritual placed on the body will safely guide it to the underwater tombs, a graveyard underneath the ocean and cliffs, accessible by [redacted]. At the arrival of the tombs, a visual memorial will then appear on the walls of the Manor.

The Vasilios family has many other traditions, but this tradition has been a part of the family for centuries upon centuries.

Locked Trunk

"each Slytherin has a locked trunk at the foot of their bed as well as a simple writing desk with a single locked drawer"

Leather-Bound Journal Reducio Resting in the locked drawer in Eulalia's Desk, her brown, leather-bound journal, stamped with her initials was gifted to her by her Grandmother. The journal holds Eulalia's sketches of various sea creatures, landscapes, and anything else she deems worthy of drawing out. In addition, it has been enchanted to never run out of space, and scrap any sketches she doesn't like. She keeps this journal private and doesn't want people to see her art. Don't ever open it unless you want an angry Eulalia coming after you!		Blue Seaglass Pendant Reducio This necklace lays safely inside a box in her locked trunk. The pendant is a family heirloom, passed down to the eldest daughter of Vasilios blood at birth. The chain is silver, and the sea glass is a gorgeous shade of pale blue.
	Seashell Hairclip Reducio Another gift from her Grandmother, this special hairclip is enchanted to never break. Eulalia considers the hairclip to be a good luck charm, and always has it in her hair or pinned underneath her clothing. She rarely ever leaves her dorm without it. If she does, it remains either on a jewelry tray by her bed or inside the locked trunk.
Vial of Seawater Reducio Inside Eulalia's locked trunk, there is the peculiar item of a smaller-sized vial of sea-water, straight from the sea at Aegean Crest. This vial was gifted to her my her mother and helps Eulalia feel closer to the sea and home when she's away.		Famiy History Book Collection Reducio Before leaving Aegean Crest, Eulalia snagged a few tattered books from the family library. These books just so happened to be a four-book collection of Vasilios family histories, adventures, mysteries, and more. She keeps them locked away in the trunk, taking them out to read for fun, fascinated by the history of her family bloodline.
	A Velvet-Covered Keepsake Box Reducio How ironic. A box inside of a box. This box, covered in blue velvet, holds important keepsakes that Eulalia owns, such as past letters, a delicate seashell bracelet, a small porcelain doll, a satin silver hair ribbon (embroidered with waves) from a family ceremony, a small yet perfectly intact sand dollar, an old torn journal page written in Greek, some spare sketching charcoal, a handkerchief with the family crest and motto embroidered on it, and a few other items.
