Beatrice felt something hit her in the back of her head. She gasped out, her mouth opening slightly as she stumbled forward. It hadn't hurt but she felt something soft slowly slouch down her hair and shoulders. Her hand went to the back of her head and she grabbed a big hand full of- of- what even was this? Pie?! The Slytherin first year looked around in astonishment. Someone had actually thrown a pie at her. Had it been Yefim?! That little shit. But no. She couldn't see him. Beatrice saw something else tho. She watched a ton of things happened as she removed the pie from the back of her head, everything landing on the floor around her. She whipped her hands on her dress, anger but also embarrassment spreading through her. This was no time to cry over ruined pie-hair and a dress full of disgustingly sticky filling tho.
Chaos had unleashed all over the Courtyard. Several Students had gotten pumpkin heads, which Beatrice suspected was from a Pompion Potion, they had learned about that in class. Some couple was fighting or breaking up as it seemed and a bloody girl was fighting with several people. Spells were being shouted and a lot of people were screaming. Beatrice watched in horror as the fight went on. There were also... Nifflers..? running around, how did these adorable creatures found their way to the ball?
Beatrice didn't want to take any chances or throw herself into a fight with this bloody screaming girl so she took Rani's hand, starting to exit the both of them from this situation. She was gripping her wand, looking at everyone and everything to make sure no one got the idea to attack the both of them as she took Rani with her into Hogwarts and out of the chaos surrounding them. Inside the castle her steps carried her fast as she pulled her friend with her. It would have been dumb to take part in a fight like this.
Both of the girls silently decided that it was time to finish the evening. Beatrice walked with Rani to the Ravenclaw common room, not wanting to leave her friend alone when something like this was happening. She side eyed Rani as they silently walked up several stairs and through a few halls. Beatrice knew that the Ravenclaw common room was in the West Tower so they still had a little to go. Her wand was still in her hand and she hoped Rani didn't notice how tensed up she was. The two girls were still walking hand in hand which Beatrice didn't notice until they stood in front of Rani's common room.
»Uhm, sorry. I would have liked for the evening to go a little bit better. I still enjoyed the time with you tho.« Beatrice gave her friend a small smile and let go of Rani's hand. »Stay safe. And good night.« Beatrice waved at Rani as she walked away before fully turning around. Air seemed to be something rare these days, Beatrice had been holding her breath this whole time, or maybe she was just breathing very little. When Beatrice got to the ground level again she heard a soul wrenching scream and although she wouldn't admit it if anyone asked, she started running.
Her beautiful gown flew behind her while her hair became lose. The little first year Slytherin was surprisingly fast and got into her common room in no time. Once she stood behind the shut entrance, Beatrice soaked in a shaky breath, closing her eyes. Once she regained the ability to continue her walk, she hurried up into her dorm and sat down on her bed. Beatrice closed her eyes once again, suddenly remembering the person she shared this dorm with. Irina. Hopefully her dorm mate was safe and didn't get involved into this awful... whatever that was?Partner:@Rani Adler

Percival was not too sure what to make of Ileen's disposition. It seemed like something was weighing heavily on her mind. What it was, he had little to no idea. So far the night had actually gone quite smoothly. At least more smoothly than previous balls. He wondered if he should say something. Prod her mind on how she felt. Give her a shoulder to cry on. Though, he found himself unable, and unwilling, to do so. He wouldn't say it was out of a feeling of uncaring. No...it was merely the thought of a possible eruption that kept him away. It made no sense to have a picnic under a smoking volcano.
As the boy offered his arm to her, he would give her a small smile. Trying to reassure her without speaking up about it. "Ileen, would you care to dance with me?" he asked sweetly. Trying to pull the girl into the present. Trying to show her that there was no threat to them. The girl's attitude reminded him too much of his last ball with Opeila Winters. Had she not also been plagued by something he could not see? The thought made his throat tighten. He didn't want to lose Ileen. Especially not in a fiery torrent that burned away the bridge connecting them together. Percival was certain with himself that he would not allow for something like that to happen again. Ileen had become something far too special to just simply lose. Something he hadn't noticed right away. Though, now looking back on it it seemed so blatant. To the point, he was surprised he had missed it at all.
A sneer would pull at his lips as he watched some random boy offer his jacket to his date. As if he could offer his date his own jacket. Especially when he had nothing on besides his velvet tunic. As if he would strip naked to give his shirt to her. The boy would glower at the Durmstrang student with clear annoyance. Clicking his tongue in an irritated and disapproving manner, he would then turn sharply grabbing Ileen's arm to lead her onto the dance floor. Hardly wanting to deal with the lack of knowledge in the boy's head. How hard is it to read the room? Even if he had a jacket it was not that white-haired boy's place to make his date more comfortable.

Valentin couldn’t ignore the pain of one Colin McCoire, whom Valentin remembered as a citizen of Candyland. How fitting it was that a member of his own domain was here on the day of the knights’ tournament. The only thing was, there were extenuating circumstances that had just mauled a first-year Gryffindor… so the joust would have to wait. Yet, it was not just the Real Girl Colin had to worry about, as Romeo threw such a wild punch that it narrowly avoided their emotionally ravaged ally. Flying up alongside Colin, Valentin's silvery-violet eyes warmed with reassurance.
“It’s okay, Fiddler, help is here,” eased Valentin once his bodybind curse froze the Real Girl. Seeing that there was actually only one target attacking Romeo, Valentin felt much relieved and leaned forward to rest on his broom. The weight of Romeo’s cloak on his back also contributed to keeping the Frost Captain calm despite Lily bleeding out below them. “We will turn this around now. Hanya, could you help revive this young lion? It wouldn’t do for the ball to have a bodycount of innocents.”
Valentin watched as the massive form of Romeo sped further into action, triggering his own instinctive support. All three team mates, Johannes, Romeo, and Valentin were well accustomed to working together as one. Black smoke wafted from the tip of Valya’s wand as he waited for a clean line of sight onto the doll. Ultimately, the captain did want to know what the hag doll wanted from Romeo, but he wasn’t about to strike up a conversation until the Real Girl was completely under their power.
“Petrificus Totalus,” stated Valentin as he waved his wand at the doll in a hook-shaped swipe. With his co-captain and keeper at his side, Valentin didn’t have to spare precious time to think. The best way to harmonize was as clear as the red of the blood spattered all around them.

Edme cooled down a bit now that she was standing by someone she knew, especially since it was Avery. The Ravenclaw imagined what the two must look like, two kids in large ballgowns chattering away nervously. It was probably pretty funny to the outside eyes, since it seemed their dresses were a little more serious than the two.⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄
Avery greeted her happily, and soon the two were finally into a comfortable conversation, Avery providing her compliments that made Edme's face turn a little more red than she would have liked, and the Ravenclaw simply responding with a little laugh. It was so weird to think about the circumstances of the two being there. They were dates. There for the sake of the other. And maybe the food. Edme wasn't sure what this meant, but they did know that they were buzzing with joy at the idea of being there with Avery.
"Absolutely. Hogwarts kind of likes to do those extravagant things." As she was entering into her second year, Edme had gotten quite accustomed to the way the school was so dedicated to their events. They could turn the entire castle into a mouse just for April Fools Day. "I heard they had something down the way, probably an exhibit or craft station. They usually have stuff like that for these. We could try heading down that pathway if you wanted to see what's down there." The second year would admit to feeling like they were rushing a bit, but there was just so much to see and admire, it was hard to stick to just one thing.
They fiddled with one of the roses on the dress, feeling at its textured surface and admiring the detail of it. The two had agreed on the theme of decaying and living rose, based on an old fairy tale. It was a fun idea, and Edme had had a great time getting the dress for it. They didn't like dresses all the time, but sometimes it just felt so right to wear a pretty like gown and twirl like a princess.⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄⋄Chatting with AveryReducioRace: Werewolf

NOTICE: This episode does involve quite a bit of blood and maybe some ancient magic? Not Tonight Love, I Have a HeadacheXI
So many sounds and sights streamed into Colin's mind, and yet he felt weirdly disconnected from the world around him. It was no longer a strange feeling. He'd felt it before, when he fought alongside Liam. It was like in the dream. The Wolf Dream, he'd called it. The one where he ran the Highlands under cold starlight; ran with the Pack. Howling and hungry ere Hogwarts was, ere even human or elf or goblin crossed Doggerland to set eyes on the Ice.
He saw Clair bandaging Lily with her own dress. The gorgeous blue of her gown that reminded Colin of the deep twilight sky. His heart soared just knowing that this beautiful and wise girl was nearby! He knew how blessed he was! He knew that Lily would be taken care of; and as his heart pounded, he knew that she would be his first proper kiss!
He heard Shia's voice from somewhere! Not where he expected, though! Hurtling through the air, on roughly a parallel course with a --- stone jackalope? A couple of incendios shot around and at last he caught up to Real Girl Hagdoll! His long legs carried him as well as a pair of slightly awkward pre-teen logs could and he leapt! His long arms reached out and he caught hold of the Real Girl! Only to lose that grip --- her horrid skin was both sticky and slippery with Lily's blood, still warm from Lily's heart and now, oddly warm from the Real Girl. Colin scraped along the cobbled stones of the courtyard, the buttons of his bloodied and ripped shirt flying in every direction! What was that thing!? Colin wondered, but he spared little time to reflect. The Wolf was hunting!
Colin's knees and palms and torso were scraped up a bit after his near success. She mocked him. The Real Girl leaned down towards Colin, reaching down to his upturned face. ”Heeheehee! You’re so cuuuute! You keep chasing after meeeee… as if I’m just… irresistible to you.” It was the sort of silly thing Lily would say. Colin would give everything he owned right now to hear those words from Lily's lips, after silencing the dark maw that opened and closed on his enemy's face. How dare she try to talk like Lily! Lily was a first class trouble maker, Colin knew well. But this 'Real Girl' taking over her life and talking like her and teasing like her was too much!
Colin knew he would have to kill this thing.
He had never killed a person --- but he had hunted and killed plenty of small creatures. His lips curled. The Real Girl was no person. He would do whatever he could to end its existence.
As his nemesis turned and gaily skipped away from Colin, he heard other voices, Gem's and Taizu's as they cast spells they hoped would stop the monster. One voice descended from the air! What was it with the aerial combat this evening!? It was an older boy. As Colin got up and sprinted after the hellish hag doll turned almost real girl, he caught sight of someone he'd met once before.
A boy he hadn't seen since last year --- none other than the Knight of Candyland himself! The boy that both Sophia and Kim had wanted to dance with last spring! And he was glorious! The Durmstrang quidditch player remembered his fiddle playing and the pure magic of an impromptu ball with the Queen of Candyland presiding! He cast the bodybind curse and --- yess! it hit home!
Colin yelped as a stone jackalope carreened past and a wayward incendio roared through the crowd. But Colin was pumped again! He howled with delight! The White Knight of Durmstrang had bound the monster and Gem knocked it down! And with a last savage growl, Colin leaped again, his long body arcking through the air landing on his bound and prone quarry!
Colin remembered himself being in such a position recently and he knew exactly what he would do! Ugh. Real Girl Hagdoll's skin was beginning to feel weird. Where it was warm and firm when he grabbed her before, now it was, almost sloughing off in places. Some would say it was disgusting, but the boy knew he'd eaten worse than this! Taking his hard won lesson from his duel with Dan Palmer, Colin slammed his knees into the Real Girl's wrists, pinning them to the hard stone beneath. He really hoped he broke something inside her! Then he hooked his long bare feet around her bloody legs. Squatting down on the almost real girl's hips, he had her pinned. Hopefully Dan would be proud!
This was no wrestling match, Colin was going to end this this or die trying. His breathing came in ragged gulps. He needed help! None of them had been able to do much. The sounds of merriment swirled all around him. Kids here in this part of the Courtyard had no idea what had happened on the other side! Colin shouted, his voice hoarse: "HELP! Someone get a professor! Please!"
Colin almost broke down right there. He was only twelve! He wanted to run away and cry! Through his tears, he prayed for Lily. Hail, Mary full of grace... He wanted to go find Lily, to help her. The way he had wanted to turn away from the train, go back and help Liam. Strangely, it was AngelFyre's voice he heard. She, calling him from the darkness and the lies that had assaulted him. Tonight the same darkness had come upon him. Not that of night, but the inner darkness. The sight of his best friend and then of Lily and lastly of Liam held him firm.
Colin would not break. He felt Liam in his heart. The blue and the green melding. Liam's heart embraced his as surely now as it had when he was at Colin's side. Colin didn't know if this was magic of the heart or something far deeper and more powerful than any mere magic could ever be. It strengthened the boy, allowed him to release the Wolf.
Almost without thinking, Colin's right hand smashed into the Real Girl's back, and he pressed her chest into the cold stone. His left hand reached down, his fingers interlacing within the hag doll's long reddish hair. Grabbing and twisting it, he savagely wrenched her head back. The Wolf growled: full of hatred for the thing that threatened his Pack. Ancient stars wheeled overhead, the brilliant light of the galaxy shimmering off the distant Ice. He leaned forward. His face neared hers. He could hear the Real Girl's breathing. Breaths that should have been Lily's. The Wolf would take back what was stolen.
The Wolf bit.
Colin's fangs closed on the Real Girl's throat.

As she soared through the air, Shiawase was feeling proud of herself. But that feeling didn't last long as, rather than floating above the Real Girl as she'd intended, her chair and her went off course. And was too fast. Too shaky. She couldn't hang on. And so she fell, down, down. Her heart sank with her as she landed flat on her stomach. Oof. It didn't really hurt, though. She wasn't high enough in the air for that. But her pride was certainly wounded. She poked her head up and saw her wheelchair was about 5 feet away, tilted over onto its side. Righting it and getting on it would be a simple matter, but . . . she looked back at the Real Girl . . . a time-consuming one. Time she didn't have.
And that's when she saw the Real Girl reach for Colin. A shiver went down her spine. No, no! She was going to hurt one of her dearest friends, and Shiawase was totally helpless. Helpless. Just like when she woke up in St. Mungo's and was told she would never walk again . . . .
No, this was entirely different! She wasn't helpless here! She could do . . . something! She picked up her wand from the ground beside her and pointed it . . . though she wasn't sure there was much point. But fortunately, someone else saved Colin, casting a successful spell. It looked like the Real Girl was going to be trapped on the ground! Now was their chance!
Shiawase took a deep breath to collect herself and prepared to take charge. She was going to tell everyone to cast a fire spell at the same time, engulfing the girl in flame and destroying her once and for all. But before she could get a word out, Colin charged ahead. He was on top of the girl as he went to bite her throat.
Shiawase hesitated. She couldn't cast anything now. She might hit Colin! And she certainly wasn't going to tell anyone else to try to cast anything, either. She bit her lip. Right. Okay. New plan.
Colin was attempting to bite her throat, but that aura of evil energy, the way she'd acted . . . would it be enough? If it didn't finish her off, then the Real Girl was bound to throw Colin at best, and at worst, she would attack him. Hurt him. Shiawase took another deep breath.
Okay, so what could she do? She hadn't mastered any sort of shield spell. The only thing she could think of was . . . she looked at her wand. The spell worked. She just didn't have any control over it. But this time, she would keep her focus. It would work! She put both her hands on the ground, lifted herself up, and plopped herself back down so she was in a seated position on the ground, then aimed her wand.
She prepared to cast Wingardium Leviosa on what was left of Colin's torn clothes, so she could pull him away from the Real Girl if she would attack him, or catch him and lower him gently to the ground if she sent him flying.
Moderated action: REACTION
As a reaction, Shiawase will attempt to cast Wingardium Leviosa on @Colin McCoire's clothes. She will use it to pull him away if the Real Girl attacks him, or to break his fall and lower him gently to the ground if the Real Girl throws him. This reaction won't trigger if the Real Girl is defeated.

@Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood & @Astrea Soleil NeptuneA gout of fire sizzled right next to the lobe of the ear that I had pierced that summer as part of the Horntail’s bonding activities as I suddenly barrel-rolled to evade the obviously harmful spell that had been sent towards me from this red-doused girl. I knew the effects of the fire-making spell well, though thus far I had been fortunate enough to avoid any situations that had involved it. Such was the situation now, as I observed a Knockback Jinx fly off towards Hogwarts Castle as I tipped the nose of the broon towards the ground and attempted to strike the girl who had attempted to strike me. Yet, my aim was ever so slightly off and instead my knife hand almost made contact with another young boy who had tried to tackle the girl to the ground. With a click of my tongue, I exhaled in a hiss as I witnessed Valentin’ spell easily strike the strange and violent girl down in a state of petrification. I nod up towards him in thankfulness. “Good going, Val. Hopefully that’ll slow her down long enough for us to come up with something or for her to cool her heels.”
Rapping my fingers on the handle of the ebony broom, I consider my options as the girl lay prone before me. Already people were firing off more spells and were trying their best to wreak harm upon the girl. The boy I had almost hit with my stray punch lunged towards her with a nature that seemed more animalistic than human. Eyes widening in shock at this admittedly unexpected display, words died on my lips for a second as my options suddenly halved themselves for me. “I-uh…” I blinked once, realized that I was losing precious time, and then shook myself out of my reverie as my fingers ran through my hair and briefly brushed the small diamond stud in my left earlobe and then swung into action with an exclamation of my actions. “Get out of the way, I’m taking her skyward!” I bellow in my baritone (mostly towards the almost bone white haired boy), jerking the Firebolt as if I were directing a feisty stallion back towards the fray and then flattening myself to the broom so I could reach as far downward as I could. I hoped that I would be able to snatch the girl that had dared to (severely) harm me by the back of her dress and then hook the Firebolt skyward as I locked her into a chokehold.
Memories of when I had done the same thing to my brother shake me only for a moment before I remind myself of the different circumstances and different intentions that were driving this situation as opposed to that personal vendetta between me and my brother. Besides, Valentin had said that he had seen him… surely that meant that he was sticking around nearby… even if he said that he truly didn’t care about the relationship between he and I… and that odd display of what I had to assume was jealousy. What in the world had that been all about? It likely would not be until I took this girl skywards that I would also be reminded of the events of the summer Quidditch game when I had been accused of nearly choking a Ravenclaw player while I had in reality been trying to slow her fall to spare her the pain of hitting the ground full force.
That game had already ended and she had been wailed upon by both my bludger and Johannes’ blatch… the least that she deserved was a soft landing.
But again; different place, time, and situation. I held no pity for this individual who had actively tried to attempt harm on me. Instead, I was more concerned with taking the threat as far away from the gracious number of people around us and dealing with it on my own terms in the air where I was far more confident of my skills compared to the potential dangers of this girl being on the ground on ‘even’ tactical terms. I was banking on the fact that it was highly likely she had little or no broom experience. Granted, I was taking a huge risk by doing this… but I was fairly confident in the ability of my fellow Durmstrangians to back me up and support me if I needed help…
At least I hoped that they would. Even if they didn’t, I wasn’t afraid of metaphorically throwing myself on top of the grenade. I was doing this defensively for both me and the girl, oddly enough. Though, by this point I shouldn’t really be surprised, should I?
I was a born Aegis.
At this point it wasn’t a job, hobby, or an occupation.
It was something that I dared to call Destiny.Action: Initiate a Midair Chokehold on Real GirlReducio

Real Girl Commotion, Specifically Romeo Marchonné“Oh you have got to be KIDDING me!” The Britalian huffed as no sooner had he managed to extinguish the fire after smacking his wand against his thigh (as if it were a malfunctioning remote) and subsequently extinguishing the fire that had started at the table, it had been ignited once again by the mess that was now beginning to concern his brother and a whole other gaggle of students. Where had he gone wrong?
At what point over the course of this evening had everyone decided ‘Hey! Why don’t we just absolutely DESTROY all of your hopes and dreams for trying to do something positive like a civil and self-respecting student and just, you know, casually light EVERYTHING on fire!?’
Like, seriously! Someone needed to explain things to Piérre because he sure as heck didn’t understand what was going through some of these crazy kids’ heads. And he liked to consider himself a crazy kid, so what was that supposed to mean for everyone else who was acting like a miscreant? Not even funny or amusing miscreants, just miscreants for miscreants’ sake! Literally just destroying things for the fun of it without any respect for the hard work and lots of planning that had been done by himself and the rest of his planning committee. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a blur of fur scampering away. Was that… one of the nifflers from the Grounds’ petting Zoo?! Seriously?! Had there seriously been that much carelessness even after his suggestions and his advice?! Wh- they had TALKED ABOUT THIS! FOR. WEEKS.
“WHYYYYYYY?!” He shouted to the heavens as he childishly stomped his foot once. Green eyes glared at the source of the main problem, that girl that everyone was firing spells at. “WHYYYYY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?!”
Y’know what? Fine!
Just fine!
Everything’s fine!
More than just five or six could play this game!
Yep! WAAAAAAAAAAY more than just a measly FIVE or SIX.
Count one Jester and his familiar in on the fun as well! That would be fun! That would be a lot of fun! Watch him! Watch the Jester slowly lose his mind before saying ‘Screw it!’ and then jumping in to show the rest of you just how childish and rude you all are for ruining what otherwise could have been a nice night because DANG IT I TRIED TO MAKE IT A NICE NIGHT FOR YOU MISCREANTS, AND NOW BEETLEJUICE HAS FINALLY LOST EACH AND EVERY ONE OF HIS MARBLES!
Puffing his cheeks, Piérre narrowed his eyes at the mess of humans that were over by the wall of the Courtyard, a way off from the party proper. Noticing everyone converging on that one girl, the Jester sighed and reached into his weathered and distastefully beaten up black and white striped jacket and withdrew an evil looking crystal bottle with glowing green substance on the inside. Swishing the contents within and noting the small whirlpool that formed from his twisting wrist, Piérre piqued a brow and glanced back at the chaotic attraction with a small smile and a lifting of the corner of his lip with a hum of self-approval. His thumbpad lightly traced the faux skull design on the cork of the bottle and he began to eye up his shot. He had two of these bottles of Garotting Gas, true, but he wanted to try and cut his losses as much as possible and not have to waste the hard work of his brewing.
ReducioHe was far from a brawler, and even just taking a passing glance at the fight Piérre knew that he was far outgunned when compared to the rest of the brawlers. The best he could do was serve as a distraction, but why in the world would he do that and risk his neck for…
His brother…
Tossing the small green potion bottle once, the Britalian’s teeth would grit as he lobbed the essential stinkbomb of a potion right for the center of the fray. After dusting off his hands, Piérre clicked his fingers by his side as he glanced about looking for his cat. Though he didn’t quite spot his kitten at first glance, his verbal call would likely summon the familiar to his side. “Figaro, stola!” With the intent to have the creature climb up his now extended arm and onto his shoulders so as to wrap about his neck like the good cat that he was.
His little raid complete, the boy would take a few steps back, still watching the fallouts of his actions with a stern face and a tapping foot. If they needed more help, he would be there in the background but there was no way that he was going to stroll right up to the fight and throw himself right into the mess; served his brother right for picking a fight with someone that he couldn’t handle, the big dumdum. So thinking to himself, he drifted back into the crowd, aiming to remain as out of sight as he could. If he was needed, he would step out again… but for the time being he wanted to stay as far away from the action– and his brother– as humanly possible.Action: Throwing x1 Garroting Gas @Real Girl Commotion

Date: 10/08/22 | Time: EveningThe bustle of the other students around the courtyard hardly registered anymore now that her attention was centered upon Edme. The nerves that had plagued her for days now could be felt slowly melting away now that the crux of that anticipation had finally arrived. The moment really hadn’t been quite as terrifying as she had imagined it to be.
Avery’s eyes brighten just that much more at the idea of Hogwarts throwing more events like this. “Brilliant! Has me looking forward to whatever else they put together if this is anything to go by.” She lifts a hand in a vague gesture to the courtyard as a whole. The details that were put into tonight’s setup were nothing short of amazing. Magic seemed to be able to add that little extra spark to life.
Attention remaining rooted on Edme, the Hufflepuff eagerly listens as she lists off some potential activities to start them off. Truth be told, Avery didn’t mind what they did one bit. She was simply thrilled to be able to spend the time with them regardless. Everything else was just icing on the proverbial cake. There was at least a little satisfaction, though, when she noted her own slight blush mirrored in her date's expression.
“Sounds like a solid plan to me! I'm always up for a little adventure. Definitely curious to see what all they have planned out, what with the theme and all.” There were certainly no shortages of options provided on that front. She just hoped it was more on the theme of 'fantastical' than 'foreboding'. Most of the tales the night drew inspiration from certainly liked to toe that line.
Taking only a brief moment to glance in the direction of the path leading out of the courtyard, Avery turns to fully face Edme once more. Despite the nervousness she can feel sneaking back to the forefront, the first year extends a hand between them, palm up. A silent offering. Does it shake slightly? Yes. Is her palm a little clammy? Most likely. But she doesn’t let it fall back to her side just yet, just in case. “Shall we?” she prompts quietly with a smile, giving a little nod towards the path.────────────────────────────────
