It was just as her father said: Overconfidence can be a killer, darling. She could hear his lilting Irish accent now, it echoed in her mind as she struggled back to home base. It was just her confidence that taken her from flying high to crashing back down into reality.

She had been on a high -- victory seemed within her grasp as she carried a flag back to her team's base. Lucky knew she could move quickly, knew that she was a bit of a 'scrapper'. Achieving success in the last round may have given her a sense of invulnerability. It was mistaken. Not only had she failed to retrieve another flag, but she had also absolutely been decimated by the Lilac defense. Lucky had met someone faster, smarter, and definitely more of a scrapper. The girl she'd gone up against was taller and clearly knew how to play defense. There had been very little chance for her to get past.

She had landed on the deck of the ship, did her best to scrape by -- just as she had before -- but had found herself practically flying back. Disorientation set in because pride had done quite a number on her. She couldn't believe there wasn't a flag in her hand. Lucky jumped to her feet again, determined to charge again, but she saw people making their way back to their home ships and had a choice to make. She could either try again or redirect her objective. Her fists clenched when she realized she was going to leave empty-handed.

Instead of throwing herself at the defender, Lucky turned and left the way she came -- sure footed and quick. She managed to make it back to the home ship without incident but fumed the whole time. ❛ I want to hit the lilac ship...just once. I want to take all their flags. ❜, she grumbled, agitated that she had been foiled. It was just a game, she had to continue to remind herself. She couldn't get all wound up about it. But as Lucky peered into their base and saw the flag numbers dwindling...she knew she was determined to do her best to win.

Cielle ran towards the obstacles around the Golden Jolly Roger, trying to shake off the embarrassment that had come with falling off the last obstacle. She didn't really care what other people thought of her, but she couldn't help but feel a little crushed that she'd fallen off the first one she'd attempted. Putting it in the past as best as she could, the Norwegian girl ran up to the obstacle and gave it her best shot... and FELL OFF THIS ONE AS WELL.

As she fell, all she could think was: what the actual fuck?! Cielle could have sworn that she used to be quite good at Capture the Flag. Then again, it had never had actual obstacles like this one... but still!! Was this game rigged or something? It was like nothing she did to help her team ever actually worked out the way it was meant to. She was already soaking wet, but now she was WET AGAIN. Seriously? Hauling herself to her feet, Cielle tried to look as cool as possible with the last shred of her dignity while she walked out of the water. She didn't even want to think about what her hair looked like right now. Not that it ever looked super neat anyway.

Ronnie did not know why but as the game progress it was getting harder and harder. After the young Captain huddled their deck mates and strategy had been made, it is time to deploy and continued the game. Ronnie had decided that Charles will attack the Teal Treasure ship and he wanted to bring Seven alongside him. Charles also said Seven will act as the Distractor.

Ronnie nodded his head as a way to give an affirmation to both lads. Meanwhile, Florian will attack Pink Parrots yet again and both Greta and Lucky act as Stealers to both Lilac Leviathans and Sapphire Swashbuckler respectively. When the go signal had been given, Ronnie's blue-grey eyes focused on each and every of his deck mates but he did not have that much luxury when his own ship is under attack.

The Castelobruxo Duellist tries his best to defend his own ship but it seems a lone defender was not enough to defend one ship. In the end, the opposing players had managed to steal three coral-colored flags and one pink-colored flag. Elsewhere, the action was still going. Ronnie scanned his surrounding to spot where the Teal Treasure's ship is located.

"Come on, guys!"The Brazilian boy spoke to himself when they spotted both Charles and Seven. He let out a winced when Seven yet again fail to beat the obstacle to entering the Teal Treasure ship, Charles got hit, and thus because of the said hit he failed to deliver what he was supposed to do. And when he saw the opposing players starting to retreat to their own home bases, his deck mates also did the same thing.

When he saw that both Florian and Greta managed to steal some Sapphire Swashbuckler's flags, Ronnie congrats both of them but it seems Lucky was bummed that she did not have the same result as the other two. Ronnie hated to see Lucky in such a state. Ronnie then put his arm on both of Lucky's shoulders and side hugs her.

"Cheer up, love,"He stated. "So what if you fail this time? The game still was not over yet,"Ronnie try to encourage the pretty girl. "I am sure there's more in you. Do not give up on me now"He added. "I know you can do it! I believe in you"Ronnie then smiled up to Lucky. His dimpled smile was on the show and hopefully, his words can bring Lucky out of her funk.

The brunette-haired boy then looked up at the sky. From where he was situated, he saw the Golden Jolly Rogers flag waving against the wind. He wonders if he is strong enough to grab it. If his team can grab and win it, it surely will be a feat for his team. And maybe - just maybe - if he is able to retrieve the flag, his team will win the whole thing.

Due to real life situations and lack of activity, Teal Treasure has needed to be disbanded. Teal Treasures seemed to be quickly dwindling. Players either never showing up or dropping out. The bewildered captain took a look at his team and realized there were only... two of them left. How disappointing. He elbowed his last remaining teammate at their base, noticing that the Coral Crossbones were also missing players. "Let's go join them, hm?" With that he took off towards their base, trying to show that he meant no harm.

"Looks like we're both lacking in members. Mind if we join you? Great." He barely waited for a response, they were lucky to have him really. They would be stupid to turn him away especially with their dwindling numbers. Teal Treasures hadn't scored too many points, and Coral Crossbones were only behind the Pink Parrots by a single flag. So, it seemed like as good as a team choice as any. "Y'all have a strategy going yet or..?" To be honest, he hadn't really been paying attention to what the other teams had been doing. The last two tries he had gone for the golden flag and failed both times. Perhaps there was a better way to win this. Besides, this wasn't quidditch so the golden flag wouldn't be the end of the game. "I'm Everett, by the way. Everett Brooks, but you can all call me Rett. I'm from Ilvermorny." Quick intro out of the way, he refocused on the battlefield ahead of him.

The game was really chaotic but luckily the blonde girl was able to stay on her ship away from most of it. It made it easy for her to focus on the other students that entered her ship and tried to steal from her group. Being fast on her feet, she was able to stop 3 out of the 4 thiefs that had entered her ship.

Her green eyes were fully focused on the entrance of the ship and it didn't take long for her to spot the first student. In her mind she was the hero who needed to protect her ship from the pirates, from which she was able to hit the first one and prevent them from stealing her flag. Knowing they probably wouldn't be the only one, she waited for a next one, this time a boy seemingly a bit younger than her, would she also hit and send home without a flag.

Unable to suppress a smile, she realized how good she was doing even without one of her teammates there to protect her or anything. Maybe she was worthy of something! She did amazing! While gloating, she managed to spot another students. Her team's ship seemed to be quite popular and she protected it well. Last but not least one girl tried to steal but sadly she wasn't able to stop her from stealing a flag.

At the end of the round, the captain for the team declared he wasn't going to continue and left the position up for grabs. At first Eliza was hesitant to take it but then the voice of Charles telling her she wasn't worthy popped in her mind and she realized this would be the perfect opertunity to prove she could lead a team to victory so she spoke up. "I can be captain!" she said proudly, after all, she had been doing a pretty good job for her team.

Seven had once again ate it. While trying to rush the Teal Treasure's ship, he'd failed to hurdle over the tall upward slide (it was humiliating, this failure of his physical ability!) and plunged back into the water. This time the shock was less immediate but the pain more discrete: he nearly belly-flopped, and even now his stomach stung from the impact.

He trudged back to his ship, where they were once again formulating strategy: his limbs hurt, and his energy was flagging. Ronnie, their team captain, had been pretty successful with his attempts to steal flags and undermine the competition-- more successful than Seven, anyway. Now there were a few new people on his ship: two unfamiliar faces. New teammates! Maybe this was a good sign for the upcoming round...

Seven knew Ronnie had seen him fail the obstacle, and even though his body burned, now his face burned too. He'd had two complete mishaps in retrieving or aiding in grabbing flags, and he really, really hoped his luck would turn around. He'd joined the Jolly Roger game because of his relative confidence in his physical abilities, and to be performing this dismally-- he didn't want to write back to his mother about this!

Seven scuffed his shoe against the wooden floorboards, and hoped the upcoming round would be better.

The warm weather combined with the intense physical exercise proved to be too much for some. Several players seemed to really be struggling, so Pax decided to let them withdraw and flew them back over to the nurse's station to rest and sit out. Unfortunately, that left only two members for Teal's Treasure. Their captain, Everett, would take initiative and go to join the Coral Crossbones, whose player number also seemed to be dwindling. So, to eliminate any confusion, Pax would draw their wand and aim it at the ship.

"Incendio!"

The ship burst into flames and began to sink spectacularly into the water. That would save any players attempting to go there (they did follow it up with the extinguishing charm to ensure nothing else caught fire). Dramatic sinking requested by Bubba McGarry

As the Teal Treasure's ship would slowly sink in the distance, Verona and Cielle yet again would attempt to face the obstacles to reach the golden flag. Cielle would fall short at the first hurdle, similar to their previous attempt, but Verona would successfully dodge their way through. However, their balance would prove little to be desired and they'd fall into the water.

A lone player could be seen venturing towards the Sapphire Swashbucklers' ship. Since their captain had retired, a new one had stepped up, the feared (or should be) Elizaveta Mikhailov. Greta would be the one to face her, and would leave with a flag in hand, besting the new captain.
