History

On Christmas Day, 2012, Maisie was born into the Williams family to Lady Elizabeth Maria Williams and Lord Nicholas Fenwick Leonardo Williams, a line of very noble and wealthy purebloods that had a long history, with kin across the world, as the eldest daughter of six children. Lady Elizabeth, from Ilvermorny and later a Hogwarts student, and Lord Nicholas from Hogwarts, met in summer break in 2001, as 16 years olds. Then, their relationship quickly established, and after parting ways to America and England, they still wrote and visited often (though not in term). Their relationship was encouraged by their parents, as it was, as phrased by her grandfather, her father's father, "a blessing for two countries". After graduating in 2003, they married a year later and their first son, Martin Fenwick James Williams was the product of their first year of marriage, at 21. 4 years later, they welcomed Matthew Fenwick Samuel Williams, and a year later, Michael Fenwick Jeremy Williams was born. Maisie was born two years later and one year later, their second daughter, Madeline Fenwick Elizabeth Williams was born. 5 years later, Millicent Fenwick Jean Williams was born. They have three sons and three daughters. Being wealthy had it's problems. For one, Maisie had a rigid upbringing, like many others. She was taught to read the room, smile, to be polite and hide her emotions for 'the greater good' before she could read. She wasn't unloved by her parents, nor did they neglect her. But they were often busy. Very busy. Even though spending time with their children was of difficulty, the two parents made a promise to give some time to their children. They could not have their own blood and bones feel distant from their parents. The girl was confined mostly to the children's rooms and study, where they had lessons from a governess and govener. She was spanked a plenty, had to stand in the corner and other traditional learning methods. But it's what shaped her to be the Maisie she is today. They also had nannies, and she was one of the few mother figures Maisie had. She was a child, and had endless energy. She made herself heard and wasn't afraid of much. But even one with such a flare in their heart learns to shut up quickly in the environment she was confined to. Every evening, she and her three brothers and sister at that time, would be brought to the drawing room by their nanny for quality time with their parents. That was how she spent the first four or five years of her life. When she was nearly six, her paternal great grandmother died from a heart attack at 86 years old. Everyone had thought she would die of natural causes, therefore her assets hadn't been settled properly. All heirs scrambled for a place at her messily written will, and even those who'd never met the woman, claimed to be her own. As such, the quality time with Mama and Papa were replaced with nanny care. Later, her mother wrote a letter for mam-gu grandmother(her mother-in-law) to them in and act as their guardian. Life with mam-gu was of simplicity. In Wales, where she lived, as a healer and missioner in a quaint sun-soaked village, she taught the children to recognize plants and herbs for concoctions that would be of use for common ailments.

It was in those few years of her childhood, that the child aspired to become a healer. The sunny days of childhood without a worry in the world would be the days Maisie miss the most in the years to come. She enjoyed Wales, and the cliff side, beach, and especially the people there. She learnt the flute, fiddle and the harp there (she preferred the flute over the others), Welsh, and the culture. She adored her grandmother and her aunts, cousins or uncles, as there always seemed to be one somewhere, even if just in lurking. Three years passed and she was eight. Her parents agreed it would be time for her to go back for 'proper' education. Her oldest brother was in his fourth year already. And her second brother was soon a first year. So, after many tears, her mother came personally to take her and her remaining brother back to England. She missed mam-gu dreadfully, but England was new to her, and she wanted to explore. But her parents took her back not to explore the island, but to shape her into a Williams daughter. Another addition to the strong line of capable women with brains and bravery, able to pitch a gun over her shoulder in a war and able to knead dough into tasty pastry in idle time. Books on her head as she walked, standing by a wall for hours, pronunciation lessons, literature and history by her governess; family history lessons taught by her grandfather, skill lessons: archery, skiing, skating, fishing (her father was strangely insistant) by eager uncles and older, adult, or near adult cousins. Sewing, stitching, cooking, baking, and other feminine skills would be taken on by her mother, aunts, or older female cousins. She took dancing lessons-- specifically ballet-- when she was really young, but she never really continued because it was painful. Vocals and music were skills she voluntarily took on, and made a name through it. She was a gifted performer, and a talented artist. She was also quick and clever, with a witty brain. When she was ten, and would be going to Hogwarts the following year, her parents sent her to a wizard prep school to give her basic knowledge of the Magic World, and the curriculum she would soon be in. So, before she was eleven, the girl had a pretty vast knowledge of things from almost every field deemed necessary for her. She spent most of her holidays or big occasions in Windsor, at her grandfather's. The house was ancestral, and very old. Her grandmother was fond of all her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she always said the house came alive at that time.

FAMILY BUSINESS

Her family stood rooted with music. It was in the veins of every living descendent. No child was born without the ability to sing, nor unable to pick up an instrument and naturally be bad at it. All the Williams children were given an instrument --some by choice, others forced--, but they all succeeded in said instrument. The family made a name through their art schools mostly in Europe, but some in Asia, and Americas. They were elite schools, with a very low acceptance rate and very rigorous if you managed to get in. Parents would send children as young as three there in hopes of them having a better life later on by training them to do well in a branch of performing arts. Although it was a very expensive school, but with handsome scholorships. The family itself had a private orchestra, where nearly every Williams child participated it when they can. They would perform to important people, aristocratics, and International guests courtesy of her grandfather. Their wealth wasn't mostly accumulated here. They were given the title "Duke" and they own land across England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland. A portion of their land was then used to provide housing for members of the family, should they need it. But most were used to build grand estates, and sold or rented off to wealthy buyers. But mostly, their wealth was generational.

set in the 2012-2024 time period, this is the prequel to Interlude: A Complete Play. Said act narrates the childhood of Maisie F.R. Williams, and the transitioning act between childhood and adolescence.

Act I: Year One

section one of the eight sections, this part of the play focuses on Maisie's first year at Hogwarts. She makes new friends, meets new people, slowly faces the world on her own. Growing responsibilities and the consequences of her actions that she needs to deal with alone. A bubbly and happy girl, she thrives at school. A child already independent, she's shattered by the news of her sister's death towards the end of her first year.

Maisie stepped out from my mind not fully developed or thought of. Initially, Maisie was to have traits similar to me—and still, she does. But slowly, she began to become her own self, and definitely is not me.

Inspiration (in no order):
i. Anne Shirley-Cuthbert (Anne of Green Gables). Anne is a loud and easy-going girl with imagination. Maisie's bubbly and outgoing, and isn't afraid to speak her mind, like Anne. Maisie, like Anne, likes to try new things.
ii. Kiri Sully (Avatar). Kiri has a special bond to nature like few. Maisie is so as well, especially as she spent part of her childhood with her grandmother, who's a village healer. Maisie has a special connection with plants and flowers. iv. Joan of Arc (Historical).
v. Lucy Pevensie (Narnia).
vi. Jo March (Little Women). Jo isn't afraid to speak her mind or defy social norms. Maisie is independent and somewhat rebellious. She, like Jo, is ambitious and creative, as well as caring for her family. Maisie was brought up in a traditional household and had to study things like etiquette. While she doesn't complain, she knows she isn't the lesser gender. She's also a bit outspoken.
vii. Scout Finch (To Kill A Mockingbird). Scout grew up in prejudiced Maycomb County. While Maisie wasn't taught directly to hate Muggles, nor does she, there's still a certain amount of prejudice in the household, especially in the older generation. Maisie questions this, like Scout, and finds out in truth, there's only one kind of folk, folk.

During school hours, the girl wears her black school uniform with a necklace and a bracelet, but apart from that, nothing else. In winter, she'd have on a sweater adorned with crochet flowers. Outside of school hours, Maisie likes to wear overalls with flowery shirts or sweaters and pinafore dresses. She would dress how her mother dressed her before Hogwarts. in no way is maisie affiliated with maisie williams, the actress.
Maisie first stepped out of my imagination on 26th July, 2025. Her name is a bit of a funny story: Maisie because although it's close to my real name, it was mostly inspired by Masilee in Sunrise on the Reaping, which was big in July 2025, when I created the account; Fenwick and Rose because they sounded nice, and Williams, because I liked that last name. I had no idea at that time there was an actress named Maisie Williams who starred in The Game of Thrones. I didn't, and still don't, really watch TV. While some of her traits align with mine, most don't, making her not a replica of myself. Maisie is outgoing and bubbly with a kind soul. She sees the beauty in things most don't and she's very optimistic. Maisie's also not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for others. However, she's often reckless and makes questionable choices and solves problems in even more questionable ways. A few days ago, I searched her name, and most of the results were about her! It was pretty cool.

I do know Maisie's life choices and wordings are questionable and chaotic. But the thing is, Maisie is a 12 year old and she's not got a fully developed brain, nor enough experience to think everything through. That's something I try to do, but in a few years time, her choices would be better... hopefully. 17.2.2026, as a first year.
Maisie's a British child, and therefore she'll have expressions and phrases that are different than those in other parts of the world. And that's why I try to add in some local expressions, to better portray this part in her.
